There simply is no other way to explain the statements of White House Chief of Staff Jacob Lew this morning on CNN's State of the Union. Lew was asked by Candy Crawley about a recent statement by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid indicating he would not be bringing a...

The Consequences of Roe v. Wade
49,551,703
Total Abortions since 1973
Now in the hands of God
That's alot of dead babies…………………………….it makes me want to cry.
Roe vs. Wade? Thank a Republican!
The most vulnerable of our society have no right to life because of that decision.
If an unborn child has no right to life what makes you believe that a future progressive/socialist court would uphold your right to life?
Seeing that number in print makes abortion take on a whole new meaning. It is truly the hollacost of modern times.
Freedom of Choice?…..the only freedom progressives care about
We all have the right to LIFE. How do those pro-choice nutjobs sleep at night knowing they advocate for taking away someone's RIGHT to live? Bunch of psychos. They all need to be mentally evaluated.
Abortion is just the continuation of the eugenicists' dream. It's no accident that abortion mills feature primarily in areas with high concentrations of minorities. It's no accident that black babies die at abortionists' hands at five times the rate of white babies.
Oh, and that thing about abortion increasing the mother's risk of breast cancer…turns out it's http://www.lifenews.com/nat5850.html
Let's not forget, that Roe. v. Wade was started by a circus barker (Norma L. McCorvey) that "found" herself pregnant, then lied about being being raped in order to have it aborted, then retracted that lie after not being able to legally obtain an abortion due to her failure to produce police documentation, then admitted to lying about it, then told her lawyers that now they needed to continue their work to "do it for other women" Appalling to say the least…
If a woman is victimized and raped, or has a medical condition in which threatens her life, then and only then should she have the "fundamental right" of using abortion as an option. It takes two to tango, and we are all still free to make our own choices. Consensual sex should not have a "moral responsibility insurance clause" that allows a woman to determine the life of a person not yet able to defend itself, just because she made a bad decision. Nor does the "State" have any business in sponsoring pre-meditated murder…!
Women like men, should all be held accountable for their actions. And If a woman chooses to have sex with the possibility of getting pregnant, then that is the risk she takes. That does not give her exclusive rights to change her mind later, and deny a human life that is unable to question the decision other wise. There are plenty of willing families across the globe that are dying to adopt children, as they do not have the luxury of creating a child by themselves. There is no reason to murder a fetus when there are so many people willing to take that "burden" from an unwilling mother.
How about if these women CHOOSE not to get pregnant in the first place?
I felt that's what this administration wanted to do to
the elderly…How can you take half a trillion out of
medicare, add people to it, and say the elderly would
have any other options but death or pain killers?
Norma ended up going through the post-abortion trauma so many women who've killed their babies have suffered. http://www.pittsburghlive.com/x/pittsburghtrib/ne...
Never let a crisis go to waste:
While we squabble about politics, Obama is getting ready to deal a crashing blow to Wall Street. He thinks the majority will like this. He's trying to recover. Newsflash Mr Obama: the majority of Americans don't buy into your petty class warfare. This, too, like everything will backfire.
Meanwhile, China's growth tops 10% and our own turncoat legislatures are suggesting that Wind Power could provide energy for large swathes of the Northeastern states. Who would produce said Windmills? You guessed it, China.
Why do we keep China's economy pumping along and do everything to retard our own growth?????
Your right, Roe v Wade was passed based on nothing
but lies…(Women dieing in back alleys etc)…I wonder
how many bills are passed on lies, my guess would
be at least half of them if not more…They create a
crisis, and off they go!
I can see it starting all over again. The fiscal conservatives get some momentum and the social conservatives pile onto the bus and hijack the movement. When will they learn?
Go ahead, push for limits on abortion because it's a question of right vs. wrong. But don't be suprise if your advocates are sent packing by centrist voters.
That is exactly right, the socialists want people to die if they do not find them USEFULL to society.
They never heard the words, CONTROL YOURSELF….
As most know the original premise that resulted in Roe v. Wade was false as was posted here. This barrage of desensitizing by the left has resulted in the cessation of nearly 50 million citizens. How any woman (not excusing the mans role) could so callously use abortion as a means of birth control is simply abhorrant. I cannot fathom how any woman can look at herself in the mirror and not feel remorse and regret.
Abortion is the biggest stain on this country. And it is certainly not an issue about "womens reproductive rights" My only daughter is now estranged from me due to her partaking in this operation. Her choice…not mine. These babies had no say or choice. And the heartless demagogue in the oval office voted to allow babies who survived this barbarian procedure to die in the closet in pain and alone. Tears my heart apart.
Or should I have said…They never heard the words,
SELF CONTROL…
Overturn Rose v. Wade so I can vote on the issue myself. I understand that not every state would outlaw abortions. I wouldn't even outlaw them in all circumstances, but the idea that it's somehow protected in the Constitution … and is more important than a person's basic right to life … is silly.
I think education should be refocused so that "right to choose" reflects a woman's right to choose to have sex in the first place.
There once were two profs; Cloward and Previn,
Who had an odd way of makin' a livin',
They counseled the masses,
To sit on their asses,
To whither the teat they've be given.
Now there's a pres named Hussein,
Who's nation is circling the drain,
But that's by design,
It's just Cloward, refined,
Using stimulus to make the economy wane.
I'm beginning to think that Obama is just plain stupid. I was suspicious when all the left wing media sycophants kept referring to him as an intellectual and constitutional scholar. All that hype sounded like smoke to me. Now I am convinced that he is either stuck on stupid or just does not understand any events outside of his little bubble of far left advisors and confidants. His remarks yesterday sent the stock market into a giant slide and today there is an uncertain pall ov er the econ sector as we wait to see if Mr. Intellectual will further hamper and intrude upon the free market system by imposing stifling rules on the banking industry. We should of known he was dense when he did not cut taxes and then rein in government beauacracies in an attempt to stimulate the economy. It doesn't take a great genius to figure out that that is the way to get things going. I'm not even going to mention his political asides like blaming everything on Bush and talking to the American people as if they were all nitwits.
Clever…LOL
Throw Bernake out. Audit the Fed! Now!
He couldn't tolerate the boost Brown's election gave to the market. Gotta show those fat cats (and everyone with a 401k) who's boss, right?
He will not survive beyond this November. His financial balls will be severed at that time with the House being retaken. He will be truly lame duck in a few short months. America has had it with this incompetent fool, bufoon and asshole.
"Why do we keep China's economy pumping along and do everything to retard our own growth????? "
China is the first national bank of the USA, and they hold roughly 1 Trillion in US debt.
I guess you could kinda say we owe them…!?
Read about Norma here :

Nice poem
And here :

Make your case for unlimited, unregulated abortion. We are listening.
Can we agree on this simple platform of liberty in 2010…?
1) The constitution.
2) Personal liberty.
3) Limited Government.
4) American sovereignty.
5) The only agenda is the American agenda and no party or ideology will stand above it.
Now that makes sense to normal people like you and I, but that would make to much sense for something so reasonable to happen in Washington. When there are no consequences for their actions, they spend money like it's free for the taking? They have to spend their way to re-election, because they lack the leadership and experience to actually do anything proper for the country. It's all about them, and how fat THEIR pockets are, not ours.
Glenn Beck had a great piece last night showing examples of how the $1.9 Trillion debt ceiling expansion could be used otherwise. If you didn't see it last night, you should try to find it on foxnews.com or maybe glennbeck.com! You'll be amazed at what $1.9 Trillion could do for every living citizen of this country!
10-4
I never understood HOW anyone could allow THAT, to be used as 'birth control'??!! In an emergency situation, yes, but just to 'get rid of a mistake'…NO! Take responsibility!!
I don't know, I feel there is a disconnect with this Wall Street scheme and this raising the debt ceiling. Why would we raise the debt ceiling during a recession? Are we that stupid?
It appears, the UK and some EUROS are cautiously backing Obama. Meanwhile the Asian Market remains regulatory free. How nice for them.
http://www.reuters.com/article/idUSTRE60L2BG20100...
Afte 37 years, I'm still waiting to hear the happy testimonials about the wonderfulness of abortion. So far all I've heard are melancholy ones.
And just think how much our economy has suffered because of these Unrighteous activities? And, the contributions these future could have made….One thing affects another, right? For example, we would now have approx. 10 – 15 Million more contributors to the Soc Security system & so on. We would not funding Planned Parenthood, etc.
"Why would we raise the debt ceiling during a recession? Are we that stupid?"
Is there a better way you can think of for this administration to completly drop the bottom out of the dollar? We aren't going to become a nanny state for no good reason, and this is just another one of those reasons'…
Besides, they obviously know how we should live our lives better than we do, or they wouldn't "care" so much…LOL
Brown's Victory was an absolute miralce…and the wind in our sail, keeping us focused on all levels of Govt and we're going to Change them all out (the left primarily)….in 10 months. Pray Psalms Ch 91 as it's working. The enemy, Progrssives are fighting amongst their party members…Nanny Pelousie can't get any unification in their party….Say Bye Nancy, Good Nite Dingy Harry. Mr Obama and friends state all of the time about their Progressive-ness…Stop calling them Democrats, they are Progressives, a literal 3rd party which has infiltrated both parties.
They used to laugh at Bush….When the dems do that,
this is fair game too….Remember how they started after
the Bush twins in the beginning???
I agree with you…she also has a funny lisp when
pronouncing certain words!!
Here is one sobering thing we all have to think about:
Americans abort, muslims have children all the way to 50- w/ different mothers if need be.
What is the end result of that equation??
Here's a very ironic twist: We Americans go to war to bring peace and freedom to peoples of the world– muslims kill. If to use their populace as tools so be it.
The world is upsidedown-inside out. If we don't get this straightened out as to the Will of God, a Ten Commandments-based society we are doomed. W/ the progressives in control– I really am having a hard time understanding what is so progressive about these people– we have taken God out of everything, on the wrong interpretation of the Constitution; we had thrown out our moral founding. So what do we expect?
I agree w/ the eugenicist statement…
"Many can't go there; and many would rather die."
"If they would rather die," said Scrooge, "they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population."
Charles Dickens: "A Christmas Carol"
The antidote to "Progressives, a literal 3rd party" is the Tea Party, a literal people's party.
Great poem, thanks for sharing your
gift with words….

amen and try to catch the last frame of that film and notice the smirk
It's a tragedy for all concerned, but required none the less.
Those are just the ones we know of.
Actually, its this idiot…
Dr. Ezekiel "Zeke" Jonathan Emanuel MD Ph.D
He helped Rahm as an adviser to the health-care reform bill…and the bell curve on who is worth saving, and who should die…
Soros may be the backer, but the "eugenicist" behind the push is Ezekiel…
TRAGIC, but TRUE!
GREAT POST!!! FACTS ARE FACTS!
TRAGIC, but A PAY DAY IS COMING, I ASSURE YOU!!
PS: AND WHO IS MORE RESPONSIBLE, THE WOMEN OR THE PROGRESSIVE JUDGES THAT ENCOURAGE IT!!!
DON'T UNDER ESTIMATE THIS "PROGRESSIVE" OBAMA!!! HE IS DANGEROUS, ESPECIALLY WHEN WOUNDED!
PROGRESSIVE = EVIL!
My business is not yours and your business is not mine. Don't tell me what is right for me based upon your belief. Man and the SCOTUS are not the final word.
I would agree that there are VERY SPECIFIC circumstances that should allow the termination in a compassionate society. Wholesale abortion for profit (Planned Parenthood et. al.) is cruel beyond comprehension. I sincerely hope that SCOTUS reverses Roe v. Wade at some point.
We have billboards in Florida that show a baby "asking and pleading" with his mother… "Mommy ? Please take my hand and not my life" Sad……
How many years Have they had to change this and yet they have done nothing?
there is a difference between being frugal and a constitutionalist and being a republican. The republican have had decades to fix this social issue and yet they haven't, but they have limited our freedom to change it.
We keep owing them as long as we keep up our debt. Why not take the rest of the stimulus money and pay back some of that debt? It's not like the stimulus is working here?
Wasn't it Soros that said about his father when he was terminally ill "I wish he would just die and get out of the way". or something like that.
I personally see Roe v. Wade as a modern Dred Scott. In 1858 the supreme court ruled (7-2 at that) that those of us with darker skin color were not human, and therefore could not sue for their freedom any more than a horse could sue it's owner for it's freedom. It is universally viewed today as the worst decision in the courts history.
In Roe v. Wade the supreme court ruled that an unborn human baby is not human and therefore deserved no more protection from the law than an appendix. Since it was none of the governments business weather a woman had her appendix out, it was no more their business if she had a fetus removed. If the woman was a suspect in a murder (of a post birth human), she would have no right to the privacy of her own body. She would be compelled to submit her fingerprints and a DNA sample for the investigators. So the decision hinged on the moral opinion that an unborn child is not human.
However since the decision, the public view has been slowly shifting to the opinion that an unborn child is human to the point where it is now a more widely held belief than that it isn't. This is largely because we now have pictures to see the development at various stages. By the time a woman knows that she is pregnant, the child has it's own heartbeat. There's even a new test that can identify the sex of the child as soon as 5 weeks. They have yet to devise a test yet to determine the sex of an appendix at any age. I believe this trend will continue and, though it may take some time yet, a constitutional amendment will eventually pass guaranteeing the rights of the unborn to life (liberty and the pursuit of happiness). In a hundred years Roe v. Wade sit side by side with Dred Scott.
has anyone seen the Haiti rred cross ad with Michelle Obama?
no emotion, reading the teleprompter and it seems she was having a "bad eye day" one of them wiggles.
I normally have nothing to say about the first ladies, but that is not her best moment.
I'm still searching to find coverage of the March for Life on any news outlets.
I know many conservative pundits were upset by the lack of coverage of the tea parties by the 'other-than-FoxNews' media, but where is FoxNews on this, and where is the outcry from the same conservative voices?
This well attended March happens each year and is covered by silence.
Shame on FoxNews and the rest of the conservative voices who look the other way as so many are gathered to speak for the defenseless!
Fox News did cover this. doubt the others did though…
Although I am personally opposed to abortion…in every case, in every way….I believe we should follow the Constitution here and allow the individual states to make that decision. Abortion should not be decided by a federal ruling and it makes no sense that it is.
Maybe I'm crazy but I thought that the Constitution was written for a reason other then having people stomp all over it.

The SCOTUS never will. Change the state's laws such as Texas and it will be backed by Article X. If you want to change the laws then run for your state's legislature it is that simple.
The only way to constitutionally do that is too increase the size of the House of Reps as defined by Article 1 Section 2.
Excellent point.
"Mother Teresa"–I agree. Where is the coverage!?! Not on Fox News, not on Breitbart's "Big" sites, not on Michelle Malkin, or Townhall–WHERE!? Even the right is ignoring 300,000 people marching on the capital. Is it because it happens every year that it's no longer noteworthy? Then what will happen to the tea party movement when it takes place year after year and finally starts getting ignored? The right would be upset about that so why aren't they upset by total media blackout on this? For shame!!!
It's scary how many people believe that abortion on demand is completely legal today because of the whopping 2 (that's TWO) justices sent to the bench by Democrats in the past 40 years.
Can you name a bank here in America that didn't take a Bush/Paulson handout? The HSBC Bank or known as the Hong Kong Shanghai Banking Corporation.
Can you guess how much money Bush 43 borrowed from Vietnam?
"And the heartless demagogue in the oval office voted to allow babies who survived this barbarian procedure to die in the closet in pain and alone. Tears my heart apart." — And yet you religiously and obediently keep supporting those who created the ultimate evil. The Left? Try again junior…it was under the Republican watch that abortion was legalized and it's under the Republican watch that abortion remains legal to this day.
In the past 40 years prior to Obama, how many pro-choice justices were sent to the SCOTUS by Democrats? TWO! In the past 40 years, how many pro-choice justices were sent to SCOTUS by Republicans? SIX! Cry your wittle tears for Nixon, Ford, Reagan and Bush 41 who gave you abortion on demand and did everything humanly possible to make sure you could keep it thanks to your support.
stop it people don't like truth. the republican have used the abortion issue in some states to allow government interfere in the doc patient relationship and thus allowed the democrats to take it to the next step. people donot fear the growing government when they think it helps them, what they fail to understand in time government will send them to the ovens.
Norma McCorvey is a born again Christian. I heard her and the woman behind Doe v. Bolton speak about a decade ago at a Pro-Life event. They both admited to being used. She is trying to have Roe v. Wade turn and has for at least a decade.
I think that if you can't take care of and support yourself don't have a child. Who will pay for these children if their parents can't?
Really? How have the Repubs limited our freedom to change social issues? Which social issues are you talking about? Honest questions.
Abortion is NOT contraception, it IS eugenics, just like good ol' Margaret Sanger intended…
Ever wonder why MOST "Planned Parenthood" offices and other abortion mills are in low income "ethnic minority" neighborhoods?
It's not an accident, this is the systematic murder of "less desirable races" as promoted at KKK rallies by Margaret Sanger nearly 100 years ago…
And THIS is Hillary Clinton's personal hero?!
That anyone would knowingly work for one of these organizations is unconscionable given the history of Hillary's "personal hero" and the knowledge that actually inspired the likes of Stalin, Hitler and Mao…
Should the numbers increase?
"Perhaps" doubled but most definitely not 10,000.
If you think congress is out of control now, just wait until there are 10,000 of them to keep an eye on…
MURDER is not required.
republicans are progressives
The progressive tax code and regulations which both government parties support dictate who will have the depression and who will have the recession and who will succeed. The bank bailouts once and for all dictate the connected won’t be allowed to fail and working people won’t be allowed to succeed and will be stuck with the bill.
When this country learns that our liberty was stolen one tax, one regulation, one manipulation at a time and all in the name of the public good or is it for government good or is it for party good, they will know it was the government parties that killed the promise of America.
Ronald Regan said something to the effect of, "I find it ironic that every person who wants abortion to be legal has had the opportunity to be born."
That's the exact argument the slaveowners used, Paul : (
#1) If you can't take care of yourself or support a child, KEEP YOUR LEGS CLOSED / PANTS ON!
#2) If an innocent life IS conceived because someone thinks they should just be able to do whatever they want, no matter the consequences, and they are unable to care for it, adoption is the loving choice.
Abortion is not eugenics even if the clinics are in low income areas. It's not like they only serve the people who live in that neighborhood. Give me a break.
