At Polls, Turnout High, Ballot Issues Reported
by PubliusFrom the Boston Herald:

Neither rain nor snow in dead of winter could keep voters away from the hottest special election in living memory, as elections officials today reported high voter turnouts across the state in the 11th-hour nailbiter to choose a successor for the late U.S. Sen. Edward M. Kennedy.
Steady streams of voters have been heading into the polls to have their say in the bitter contest between GOP state Sen. Scott Brown and Democrat Attorney General Martha Coakley – a fight to determine the fate of the controversial health care bill, President Obama’s agenda, and one-party dominance in Washington, D.C.
Plus this tidbit on voting in Boston:
As of 3 p.m., 81,882 people had voted in Boston, according to city figures.
Election Department Chairwoman Geraldine Cuddyer predicted turnout could be has high as 20 percent to 30 percent and possibly rival November’s mayoral election, when a little more than 31 percent of the city’s voters cast ballots to send Mayor Thomas M. Menino to a historic fifth term.
According to this story in Politico, a 20-30 percent turnout in Boston is bad news for Coakley.
And, of course, both sides are alleging ballot irregularities:
Both the Brown and Coakley campaigns have raised issues of voter irregularities with Galvin’s office.

Brit Hume just said that the new guess is that 40% of Mass. voters voted.
Time will tell, but there were some interviews with a few voters and one couple, who were going to vote for Coakley, said that they voted for Brown, because of how Coakley was behaving this past week and that they didn't want Kennedy running their lives from the grave.
I can't wait to see how the LEFT spins this one
GO Scott GO

There is no way Brown wins unless he is up by 10 points. There is too much at stake and liberal vote counters will do anything to help their choice.
Wait till they try and use the Boston Globes map to claim Coakley really did win..
Sitting on pins and needles waiting for this one to close..
I truly hope your Right Cowboy as their will be no need for a re-count but I'm thinking more around a 3 point win for Mr. Brown and a long drwan fight by the Dems.. Uhg
The two opponents have at least one thing in common – they both have a brown nose.
When this election is completed, turn your attention to the progressive movement…those ba$$tards are going for the full court press…watch Glenn Beck's show today…
Getting ready for a night of political watching and reading here tonight in AZ. I call this a victory for America even if (God forbid) Scott Brown does not win. Take a few days and then we all need to get engaged. The task before us in November must be a number one priority. Our goal is to take back and right our nation from the Progressive SCUM which has invaded the Democratic Party. We need to make sure that never again will an election go to a person who has a crappy or non-vote record. National office is NOT a place for training wheels. We will prevail in November and Obama will be hoag tied. He should learn what that means shortly even though there is no respect for the fly-over states. The liberal elites are 1 year overdue for a royal ass whopping and this is the start!
I have it from an inside source that Kennedy's hand was spotted raised from the grave celebrating Coakley's victory with a DOUBLE MacAllan 25 year old scotch. Sigh… Mary Jo kicked the glass from his hand… Kharma is a bitch for the Kennedy's…..
I hope and pray that Brown beats the brakes off of Coakley! Let Teddy roll over in the grave!
Turnout isn't anywhere near as high as the liberal media is trying to portray. It's down in all the Dem strongholds, and up in the Rep strongholds. It's a wash either way, but is clearly favoring Brown. Said to see the lengths the fringe media will go to…
I wasn't around yesterday, but I was listening to Hannity take calls from people in Massachusetts. All agreed that the Brown supporters were fired up in a way reminiscent of Obama's goons in '08, and that turnout for his rallies was way higher than at Coakley's, and that Obama's campaigning on her behalf had at best no effect, and maybe even a negative one. I don't want to get my hopes up, because they could very well get dashed, but for the first time since this started I'm really starting to think Brown could win this one. If so, prepare to watch the Democratic Party have a meltdown.
Check out this memo from Coakley accusing Brown of giving out ballots with his name already filled in. It was dated yesterday.
If you want more progressive Obama, Reid, Pelosi crap; Martha is your choice.
If you want your country and your liberty back; Scott is the only choice.
Expect to see Obamas hair go another shade of gray if Scott can overcome the margin of fraud via of Acorn.
10 Points would be a humiliating defeat — go Scott GO!
"…both sides are alleging ballot irregularities…" Ah, but we have proof. I hope cOAKley chokes on ACORNs for running such a filthy campaign.
You have no proof.
You have a video alleging somebody handing out absentee ballots today that contains nobody handing out a ballot, that was taken yesterday where the supposed 'absentee ballot' is a sample ballot.
That's seriously fucking laughable you big damn goof
hppy, I too want to see Brown win….Sitting on the edge of
my seat here waiting to hear good news……
Bring on the straight jackets…They're crawling out of the
woodwork, and acting nutz, like ffasdfas..Hope someone
catches him with a butterfly net soon…These people???
are rabid…..
I'm sure the marching orders have been sent out by Soros via one of his TIDES sites. Rush calls them seminar callers to his show. I've yet to come up with an apt description for the trollsnuts like ffasdfas.
I watched Glenn And I agree they will go full speed ahead, the arrogant saul alinsky progressives think they can't be stopped.
I have Fox on…I'm not nuts about O'Reilly, but
I don't have to listen to him until news of the
election comes on.
Oh go back to DU, the HuffPo, MoveOn, and/or the KosKids and cry in your beer; troll.
It will be okay if he wins by at least 4%. I am watching O'Reilly and Howie Carr is calling it for Brown right now. Hope he is right!
This'll be a real nailbiiter.
Even with the ACORN fraud factor, and old Joe Kennedy's hand coming out of the grave, I still think Scott Brown is going to spank her soundly, and carry it by ten points.
Cardon, Are you watching Fox or CSPAN?
***WATCH! DON'T GIVE UP!!! THE "PROGRESSIVES" MUST BE STOPPED! THEY HAVE THE SAME AGENDA AS ISLAM, DESTROY OUR ECONOMY!!!
***CAUTION: The BUSH FATHER/SON TEAM (3rd DEGREE MASONS) WERE PROGRESSIVES TOO! IT'S THE CANDIDATE, NOT NECESSARILY THE PARTY!!! NOTE: CARTER HAD TO BECOME a "MASON" TO BECOME PRESIDENT!!! MASONS = PROGRESSIVE=MARXISM!!!
Well the 'RIGHT' won, so how's the RIGHT going to spin it
No kidding, and I retract my original statement (given the 54% turnout I have little choice but to do so). But it was based on what TV was showing. Of course they weren't even in the places where the turnout was sky high (>70%) which went heavily to Brown.
yep, looks like the people have spoken. Roll on 2010…
Hardly, it's even in both Dem and Rep but he Independent voters came out in force. Support the candidate, not the party…
I myself have been tackling my beer gut for 6 or so months, it is not easy, but sure worth it. Get started right away.
