Telegraph: Breitbart #21 Most Influential US Conservative

2009 was the breakout year for the irrepressible Andrew Breitbart, 40, a conservative firebrand operating deep in enemy territory in Los Angeles, and the sky will be his limit in 2010. A regular presence on Fox News and a Washington Times columnist, Breitbart cut his teeth working for Matt Drudge’s eponymous website and also had a spell with the Left-wing Huffington Post. He took on Hollywood in his group blog site BigHollywood and broke the ACORN scandal when the young unknown filmmakers Hannah Giles and James O’Keefe approached him with undercover footage of employees of the Left-wing community organising group condoning under-age prostitution by illegal immigrants. The mainstream media were slow to pick the story up but eventually they could not ignore it.
The public editor of the New York Times eventually conceded that his newspaper needed “to be alert” to such stories “or wind up looking clueless or, worse, partisan itself”. Outspoken and fearless, Breitbart has extensive contacts throughout journalism and revels in partisan combat, venturing onto shows like Real Time with Bill Maher which most conservatives steer clear off because they view it – accurately – as a hostile, liberal forum. Has also founded BigGovernment and BigJournalism sites while his Breitbart.com is a major driver of web traffic. Deeply versed in the potential of the internet and an accomplished talk radio host, Breitbart has issued a clarion call for conservatives to seize back the media. ““I want to be the kingmaker,” he said recently. “I want to find the best voices so that ideas and truth that have been suppressed for too long can find their way to a mass audience.”

It's an alarming trend these days, if no one has noticed. British accented people are all over our advertising these days. Selling Majic Jacks, Laundry Soap, Gold, etc…Like we need a foreigner to tell us that a product is good or not!? Though it must be nice to be labeled amongst the top conservatives in this country, the source is a little less than repulsive to me. Besides, the UK is about 10 steps closer to Socialism than we are currently, and I don't really care what they have to say about anything pertaining the the greatest country on the planet…However, I could be a tad biased???

Interesting who they consider "conservative". Sen. Richard Luger (R-IN) & Gov. Mitch Daniels (R-IN) are Republicans but they are not conservative & putting Joe Lieberman in there is grounds for war.

For the most part that list is so mixed up – with Arnold Schwartenliberal and Liberman making the Conservative side and Michael Steel making the list AND ranking ahead of Ann Coulter I can only conclude they picked names out of a hat when ranking and some of them names got put in both hats.

Arguing over Breitbart's conservative credentials misses the point. What he accomplished in 2009 was nothing less than establish the new template for how will receive our news in the future. His "revolutionary" format ironically takes us back to something closer to the Founding – transparently disclosed opinion journalism. A good fit for the Internet age; where every opinion has an equal chance to be expressed. The open marketplace of the Internet will do a better job of delivering accurate information than the false pretense of professional objectivity in modern print journalism ever did.

Mr. Breitbart, I have been trying to get a journalist, any elected NY State politician, the NY Attorney General, and anyone else who may have the ability, to have what I believe to be major fraud involving NY State tax dollars, investigated. Do you have any suggestion on how I can get the situation exposed and investigated?
I should have added that virtually nobody I have contacted has even had the courtesy of replying to my letters, even several registered, return receipt, letters.
