Accountability and Honor
We can repair the mistake of a honorable man for he will hold himself accountable, but we can never fix the destruction of a lie.
A lesson unlearned.
Politicians claim to take responsibility then why does someone else pay the price? When life and death are on the line there is no excuse for mistakes, no room for forgiveness. The lives lost by the education of terror, is a lesson already taught, so they must have been dismissed. So many dead, too many cry and yet nothing has been really learned.
The people and system in charge of our protection are of BO’s choosing. A choice he made and thus must hold himself accountable and it is clear he is holding no one accountable, so by his choice and lack of honor we must him accountable. ……………continued in reply.
But alas those who have felt the pull of honor are too few, while the many dismiss accountability even though it is their lives they might save .
It is shame those on the battle field are held to the highest standards, by those who clearly have no standard and thus men and women of honor die at orders of those who have no honor.
I call on all who failed to protect America against terror to resign, but I know no one will hold themselves accountable. This is why the terrorist will teach again and we will cry again.

Voter ID. (If it gets on the ballot, it should help with any voter

Since when did the world think it was a "good" idea to manipulate the weather? China seems to be able to act unilaterally without any recourse. Here's an article about a crippling snowstorm in Beijing as a result of weather manipulation. I don't recall hearing this in the news.

David (Jones) Bowie is one of the great showmen in rock. I saw one of his original "Spiders" shows at the Tower Theater in Upper Darby, Pa. and was blown away. He WAS the original practitioner of Rock and Roll theater. The comparison to politics is uncanny, Publius.

What if China totally screwed up and started these massive snowstorms? Seriously. Would we ever know? I doubt it.
David Bowie has a knack for always seeing the next thing in music. Forever a chameleon because he understood that music evolved. Incredibly talented to be able to spot the trend early enough to then be part of its development. I have seen Bowie live four times in my life and there are only a handful of acts that command the stage the way he does (Pink Floyd, Rolling Stones and Elvis come to mind off hand). To relate this to politics, he is not a finger-to-the-wind performer seeing what is already popular and then jumping on the band wagon like Bill Clinton became to survive his presidency. He is not like George W. Bush becoming a legacy tool of the record label (read special interests). He is not like Obama and stuck in one ideology because it is the only thing he knows because it was what he has been groomed for. Instead he is a student of music, understanding the fundamentals of what works and does not. On that framework, he assembles something based in solid theory but with contemporary flare. Who will be the next President that has these qualities to lead the Tea Party/Libertarian movement forward, built on the fundamental values of the founding fathers but addressing the needs of a modern society. While we need to return to basics, it is imperative in today's 24 hour news microscope that the next President be media savvy — but he/she must be more than just an entertainer.
That's just it…it's a "Free for All". Radom stuff.

IT'S SO COLD….. I saw a Democrat with their hands in their own pockets.
His ability to see around the corner and be willing to change to get out in front of everyone else was just uncanny. Enough entertainers who know what's good for their career longevity have copied his tactic of evolving and not repeating whatever worked for them yesterday. Madonna, Beck, Prince are a few examples. He was not too bad as an actor, in my opinion. Not great, but not cringe-inducing either.
His song "Heroes" made NRO's top-ten conservative songs list. Topped it, I think.
The problem is that we have politicians. We need Statesmen.
Statesmen have morals, ethics, and a code of honor. Politicians have none of these qualities in any depth.
As long as We, the People, keep electing these politician, then I guess we may not have received the government we wished, but did indeed receive the government we deserved.
I don't think there WAS an ideology to or in Bowie's music.

I lack to words to convince people if we put soldiers in prison or punish those in our military for a small lack of judgment when placed in a impossible situation, where a moment can determine life or death, then we most hold our leaders to same code they hold our heroes.

As a bowie lover from '74, my first quick take is that Obama is the Man Who Fell to Earth.

The Man Who Fell to Earth was desperate to save his family. BO doesn't care about his family, other than those who represent an extension of his own narcissistic supply. If he sent $50 to his brother–the one in the shack–he could make him a wealthy man, but he'd have to know when his brother's birthday IS.

Glad you acknowledged the man. Bowie is quite different than most older gentleman rockers in that he never rested on his past accomplishments and stood still in the music biz like so many acts that made their name in the 70's. He's always exploring new things and taking artistic risks. He's also a true gentleman as I've had the opportunity to observe his interactions with different kinds of people. (Don't know him, but I chauffeured he and his band in the early 90's). As an added bonus, he never preaches s nor makes gaseous pronouncements on matters political.
A class act all the way.
Ziggy Stardust is one of my favorite albums. Much of his stuff from the 70s is truly classic.
