Well, socialism came back to Prague 20 years after the revolution in the grinning form of Barack Obama- a man governing far to the left of the bipartisan-centrist rhetoric he employed during last fall's US election campaign.
Countries like Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic, who suffered through 40 years of totalitarian socialism's systemic cruelty and comprehensive lack of results, do not share the romantic view some in the West have of Obama's ultra-liberal proposals and big-government solutions for every challenge.
Maybe that's why Czech Presiden Vaclav Klaus is far more nationalist, pro-market, pro-freedom, and of course a vocal global warming skeptic that exposed it as a Leftist scam/power-grab long, long before the current wave of opposition to cap-n-trade deals…
I attended Obama's speech at Prague Castle, where he stated that in overthrowing communism, the Czechs "exposed the emptiness of an ideology"- but it would be interesting to hear him explain just what he considers the key differences to be between past socialism and the multi-trillion-dollar big-government/social programs that has unveiled since he got himself elected.

The USA today is closer to being a Socialist Republic than any time in the 233 years since independence. O'Bummer seems to be "standing tall" and acting like he's a centrist while stuffing all his Socialist programs forward. Unlike the Czech's, we really have no other country to intervene, therefore all patriotic US citizens need to step forward to bring this to a halt.
Start "bailing water" or the ship will begin to sink quickly. Lock and load.

Scott Brown, who's running against an undistinguished mouse of a Dem Party apparatchick who's so pro-abortion she's almost promising to do the procedure herself .The health care bill wouldn’t come back to the Senate from the House (if a new version passes the House—which as I argued earlier, isn’t a laydown) until after January 19th. So a 41st Republican senator could stop Obamacare.But someone might want to commission a poll in Massachusetts to see what might happen if the Senate race could be made a referendum on Obamacare. Brown and Coakley debated last night, and they clashed on the health care bill. But so far as I can tell, The voters of Massachusetts have a chance to save the country from Obamacare. I bet Obamacare isn’t popular even with most Dems and independents. And it would doom the government-run health care. He is within single didits now. He really needs donations now. The big guns are comming out on the other side. We gota win. Just got a couple weeks.

Let's hope that the RNC steps forward and gives him some cash. Mass is a really tough place for an R to score a win. Fortunately, Coakley has already declared that she's in favor of higher taxes, so maybe the folks in Taxachusetts might finally stand up to the tax and spend Socialists that have bankrupted that state. Steele an Newt might redeem themselves if they get hehind Brown and funnel some cash and support his way.

Both government parties have been stealing freedom for a long time.
