I remember every single trip that GWB took to Crawford he was absolutely SAVAGED by these same newscasts as being OUT OF TOUCH in case of any crisis…. While millions of Americans are out of jobs over Christmas and small businesses are staring down the barrel of his job and business killing "free, cost-cutting" healtcare plan — Obama hits the surf.
We had the Grand Canyon vacation, the European shopping trip, the Martha's Vineyard Vacation, and the Hawaii vacation so far in one year. Fill in the missing vactions, there were likely more.
By my estimation, he's had 4 weeks off so far. Could be 5, probably 6 or more after this one is done.
And he has the nerve to talk about CEO compensation and "windfall" profits. When he's in the White House, he spends half his time in parties and with celebrity visits and then he recharges with taxpayer funded vacations.

For Dubya, a vacation involved work—presidential and private ranch work. Obama's kid was right about him. He does absolutely nothing. Not as president and not while on vacation. I am stunned that The One, who has been giving televised speeches in primetime nearly every week this year, found it totally unnecessary to go before the cameras and deliver a few brief remarks about the latest thwarted terrorist attack. At the very least, he could have praised the fast action taken by the passengers and crew onboard to stop this madman from blowing up the plane.
He has exhibited a total apparent apathy with respect to the ongoing threat of terrorism, and has receiving nothing for his efforts to try to set a "new tone" with some of our rivals and enemies in his constant apology tour. If God forbid, another terrorist attack of 9/11 style proportions occurs, I believe that this President will be impeached in a heartbeat. GWB may or may not have been briefly caught off-guard at that Florida elementary school that awful Tuesday morning–but regardless, he was grappling with a total change in what we thought we knew about the world that day. I think taking a few moments to reflect on his next move was appropriate. Maybe he should have done so behind closed doors and removed himself from the classroom immediately.
But so what? Our current President is not suddenly being forced to deal with a "new normal". He knows exactly what sorts of threats this country faces everyday. This sort of cavalier, "let Janet Napolitano deal with it" kind of approach carries only one message: "I don't take this matter seriously". We the American People know that in the final analysis, this is the most serious matter of all. If this President does not uphold his responsibility to "provide for the common defense", he will be history (and rightfully so).

Actually, "Roving Ambassador" is one of the primary roles that a President of the United States is supposed to fulfill. The position was always meant to be the singular point of contact between the "States United" and the States of the world.
The Federal Government was always meant to look out into the world and secure the position of the US in that world. Unfortunately the current Federal Government looks inward and meddles in the affairs of the individual states to the point of our ruin.
Oh please, Dubya had plenty of faults, too. He took plenty of vacations and probably drank it up, too. This isn't about Dubya, though. We know the mainstream media is obviously in Obama's pocket. We know Obama is a celebrity president to them. Shameful. The mainstream media is a joke. I hope they all die out.

If those of us whoare seriously unhappy with the President and his administration were to boycott all of the advertizers of the mainstream media and make a few calls to let those advertizers know why, it would surely change the direction of news coverage for this president. They might start going out of business, the media that is, or begin to report the whole story!!
