Ben Nelson May Give Back Health Care Bribe

Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson, who has faced a heap of criticism for appearing to trade his vote on health care for millions in federal Medicaid money, said he’s considering asking that the Nebraska deal be stripped from the bill. But he said other senators are looking for special treatment in light of his success.
Nebraska Sen. Ben Nelson, after securing a sweetheart deal for his state as part of the health insurance reform bill, said Tuesday that three other senators have told him they want to bargain for the same kind of special treatment.
“Three senators came up to me just now on the (Senate) floor, and said, ‘Now we understand what you did. We’ll be seeking this funding too’,” Nelson said.
But the Democratic senator, who has faced a heap of criticism for appearing to trade his vote on health care for millions in federal Medicaid money, said he’s considering asking that the Nebraska deal be stripped from the bill.
Though he defended the exemption as a “fair deal,” he said he never asked for the full federal funding that Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid ended up granting his state. Nelson said he instead asked that states be allowed to refuse an expansion of Medicaid.
“This is the way Senate leadership chose to handle it. I never asked for 100 percent funding,” he said.

Nelson's cloture vote made me angry, but the concessions he got for it made me sick. He can give back the $100M blood money, as far as I'm concerned, but he can never repay Nebraska for selling out our freedom and liberty.

It is funny this is posted because I just sent him an email. For all of you out-of-state patriots, when you fill out the contact form use his office address in Nebraska on the right column, otherwise it won't go through. Do this with all Congressmen. Here is the message I sent:
"If you vote FOR healthcare I will donate money to your conservative opponent and I know many others who are also out of state who will do the same thing. Ask Michelle Bachmann how much she got (hundreds of thousands) from out-of-state campaign donations. WE THE PEOPLE across the nation are frustrated, you in Congress are not listening. Democrats will be voted out of Congress in 2010!! It is a national effort that you people in Congress can't even fathom."
It must crush some mighty big egos to know that soon, like others who already guessed it, they will become nothing more than symbolic place holders to do the bidding of the Czars; jesters in thrall to the will of Valerie Jarrett, Rahm Emanuel, et al.
I think the Senators are weak in that area of their egos, and it remains unexploited by the Right. Too bad, and likely too late.
