President Obama and congressional Democrats are claiming that a giant new entitlement program will reduce red ink. It's tempting to laugh and dismiss such a preposterous claim. After all, these are the same people who told us that squandering $787 billion on a so-called stimulus would create jobs....

I hope the Republican party comes to embrace the Tea Party!
Happy Tea Party Day, everyone!
Quite ironic.
Today is the anniversary of the Tea Party, and we are now days away from a Health Care Bill that will enslave US, and future generations. A people who are incompetent to handle freedom, will have it taken away from them, one way or the other. Either at the end of a rifle barrel, or by the legislators pen………
Great reminder…no different than then, we must work house by house and precinct by precinct.

Let it be know that today in History we The American People boarded our Autos and Dumped All Each And Every Member of The Admin And Congress In The largest Supermax Prisons known to man kind.
I hope the Republican party is further marginalized at the polls next time around and the Democrats along with them. It's time for stronger third and fourth parties in this country. The two party sham has got to come to and end if we want to retain our representative democracy and preserve the republic.
We always (Americans) remember
So we will always be free.
The current situation is nothing but a momentary lapse of reason. Just a wake up call for all good Americans to get involved, once that happens the "progressives ( regressives really) will be done.
We are not a nation of slackers (socialists). We are a proud and enterprising people.
Great reminder…no different than then, we must work house by house and precinct by precinct.
To commemorate this seminal event in our history, I say we should all dress up in Hickey-Freeman suits and Via Condotti ties, slick our hair back, wear "W" masks, and trash Pelosi's, Reid's, Frank's, Schumer's, and Emmanuel's offices, if we can first get through the piles of BS at their doors and the vast stacks of the umpteenth rewrites of the Consititution..
We'll be safe from reprisals since they're blaming everything on Bush and the bankers anyway so why not get some of our own back and make the Founding Fathers proud?
We don't have the time at the moment for trying to elect third and fourth parties. If the democrats prevail in 2010 you will see all kinds of disastrous legislation passed. It is what it is and we have to deal with it.
I remember the good old days when the rest of the world hated us because of our capitalism…..
the deficit has already enslaved future generations
i would have fished out the tea they dumped and kept it for myself or sold it
Andrew Breitbart was summoned to a Grand Jury in New York regarding investigation of ACORN. Andrew is a great American investigative reporter, so keep him in your prayers. We have a Neo-Marxist in the White House & an Attorney General who doesn't know and abide by the Constitution, so now is the time to take action folks because this President no longer cares about abiding by his oath of office.
VOTE ! VOTE ! VOTE ! Nothing more need be said….. Watch for the RINO's in conservative clothing !
The plain and honest truth is the GOP aint much different than the DNC. Don’t forget with Bush at the helm the runaway spending started. RINOs pn the Republicans are still pouring on the pork even in this latest omnibus bill, more will come out on that in the near future I am sure. The Tea Party plans to hold it's mose and work with the GOP as much as possible. The RINOs however should be very afraid, NY23 was just the beginning. This movement will hold true to it's principles. Last time I checked conservative Tea Party backed Rubio was even with the Republican RINO Christ foe the Floridia Govenorship. I've said this before and I'll say it again, this ain't you father;s third party. These people are pissed and they want their country back…
As to the Tea Party becoming a third party, even though there is a lot of excitement for it, and generic polls are showing many would vote for it, I fear that all it would do is split the conservative vote between GOP and Tea Party candidates.
I know people are always looking for a third party, but the price of getting their might be too high.
Instead, like the Boston Tea Party was a wake up for many, I hope people are inspired by the Party to take action themselves and that the GOP leaders (and Dems) realize that these 'protesters' aren't going away.
That is my hope for the Tea Party movement. Not that it becomes a true third party, but that it is a wake up call for the Republicans that are out of touch with most conservatives in this country. That it serves as a wake up call for the Republican Party. At the same time, I hope that the Tea Party movement continues to inspire people to action. That more people become part of the process, rather than sitting the sidelines and quietly complaining about what they don't like.
We have therefore to resolve to conquer or die: Our won Country's Honor, all call upon us for vigorous and manly exertion, and if we now shamefully fail, we shall become infamous to the whole world. Let us therefore rely upon the goodness of the Cause, and the aid of the supreme Being, in whose hands Victory is, to animate and encourage us to great and noble Actions.
George Washington, General Orders, July 2, 1776
GET TO THE POLLS IN 2010!!
The Boston Tea Party was a seminal moment in the growing rebellion of the Colonies to British rule. Disguised as Indians, the colonists dumped several ships' loads of tea into the harbor. It was a manifestation of the frustration of the colonists with the growing tyrany of "taxation without representation".
We now have a situation where we have taxation with representation that ignores the directives of the people, the country's best interest and the notion of fiscal responsibility. In other words… "taxation with irresponsible and insensible representation."
We have two choices: change the representation or start from scratch.
You are right. The move is on to get people to fall for a third party. That's the only way the dims can win in 2010 and 2012.
I agree. The two party stranglehold on the country has to stop.
little did they know the path that their actions would lead us… huzzah!
as for the tea party becoming a 3rd party? while the idea is romantic, i don't think this is the time for such things. the infrastructure isn't in place to make any sort of serious run in the next election cycle. i believe that what we must do right now, is to consolidate our efforts behind the 'R's and kick all of the blue bloods to the curb.
we don't have the 'liberty' real estate to sacrifice while a new party gets spooled up. to think that this is the time to start a third political party, is akin to going into the prevent defense in the 1st quarter of a football game, when you're down by a tuchdown.
No need for any third, fourth or for that matter first or second party. Identifying with some small "me too" percentage of a platform gets people elected and then they are corralled into going along with the party on issues totally counter to the wishes of those who elected them. Enough gamesmanship. We need statesmen who articulate their vision and are elected to serve and defend our wishes at any cost. If an affiliation is necessary, I say it should be American – not Republican nor Democrat. It's up to us to ask how they will vote and HOLD THEM TO IT EVERY TIME! No time for allowing the water to get murkier and further divisions to evolve. The Liberals used division for the last 30yrs to separate us from our freedoms and now they're ready to deal the death blow IN ONE YEAR. I will not affiliate with any party. First, last and forever an AMERICAN and Proud Conservative one at that.
Why don't you ask Ross Perot to run.
Everyon you must check out http://www.americangrandjury.org Get past the first page if your not a "birther" but seriously look into what they are doing. They are standing the court system on their heads. Very important stuff. Our court system has been hijacked and they are taking it back
This 'momentary lapse of reason' perspective is a terrible problem. We have been letting the Constitution's integrity rot away for decades and not caring in the least. THAT is not momentary.
Does anybody here think that the neoMarxists would have won the White House if they had started the NeoMarxist party or run on the Socialist ticket? No? Do you think that would have worked? Please, please, please don't fall into the third party trap.

Rubio is running against Crist for the Republican nomination in the senate race. Former senator Bill McCollum and state senator Paula Dockery are running for the Republican nomination for the governor's office. I switched from (I) to (R) specifically to vote for Rubio in the primary against Crist and Dockery over McCollum. Crist was all too happy and willing to embrace PrezBO's porkulus bill, and along with his "placeholder" in the senate, George LeMieux, they are hell-bent on getting the federal gov't more embedded in our state via high-speed rail project. Rubio looks like the real deal, and his polling numbers show it. Crist should be honest and put a (D) after his name.
"To be, or not to be: that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune, Or to take arms against a sea of troubles, And by opposing end them?" Shakespeare's "Hamlet". (That man was a canny observer/chronicler of human nature and abuse of power.)
Short of revolution there is no easy way to undo the damage done over the last 60 years. The progressives spent decades building up to this moment. It may take decades to unwind it all. We each need to answer Hamlet's question. As for me, I choose the latter. I am no fan of the two party system, but if that is the only weapon we have then let us use it.
I totally agree. I fear that creating a third party, "The Tea Party" would seriouly hurt conservatives. I support the tea party movement and ideals. It has given our country a great wake up call and we need to keep it going. God Bless all!
Thank you for the info I stand corrected, wasn't/isn't Christ Florida's govenor?
AGREED!
I also worry that the Tea Party will split the conservative vote and we'll be stuck with these idiots again in 2010. The Republican party has to go back to its roots and abandon the moderate route. They have to stand for fiscal conservatism, strong national defense and putting the government back in the hands of the people.
The Repub in Texas that pushed for a bill to change the BCS (as bad as it is ) is just another example of government putting its nose in where it doesn't belong. Huge setback for Repubs to regain their morals.
People wake up! Thirty years ago the Democratic Party was far less radical than it is today. It has since been fundamentally transformed by the Alenskyites and Globalists into the cesspool it is today. The Tea Party isa force far greater than many of us realise, a million + on 912, NY23, Rubio. This aint Ross Perot, Ralph Nader folks sooner or later people will understand what is happening her, sthis is a storm of American wrath brewing.. You are about to see the GOPs fundimental transformation on steroids. A new wave of community organisers will be out there campaigning, registering and driving people to polling booths. Let me tell you this, no New Black Panther Party Member will stand for long in front of my polling booth. People want their counrty back! And they are getting ready to take it back.
I can't wait.
Whatever form of health care passes will be reversed in 2010. Obama and these liberals are just spitting into the wind and it's going to blow back right in their face.
If not now, when? If not us, who?
If the Republicans replace the Dems in 2010, will we still be better off? no. Will it create a better atmosphere for a third party? no.
A strong third party candidate can pull from both republicants and democraps. It can be done.
The point is that the Tea Party is has it right and the Republican party had it wrong in the past. I hope the Republican party changes to embrace the ideals expressed in the Tea Party.
It's time people began voting for ideals, and not for the candidate they think will win!
The Republican Party needs to state it's principles and these principles should be aligned with the principles expressed by the Tea Party. If Collins, Snowe, et al, want to embrace those principles fine, if not still fine. Basically, state the principles clearly and succinctly and widely, and whoever agrees with the majority of the principles should join. The Dems are going to use every trick in the book to lye, cheat, and/or steal to ensure they get reelected. The only way to fight this is to use truth and principles. To fight the same way is to become the same thing.
Yes, Crist is the current governor, but is running for the senate seat vacated by Mel Martinez earlier this year.
Additionally, it's dangerous to say this person is that and that person is this. We must stick to the principles and whoever wants to come along, fine. Whoever doesn't, still fine. If we have a majority of people coming along, then we win. If not, then the people have chosen poorly and will receive the consequences. To start naming names is what the Dems have done to Obama, create a god-like image. I will not participate in creating a god-like image on our side. This is probably the hesitancy Sarah has. She does not want to be portrayed as some messiah to lead as all out of the wilderness, etc. We must establish our principles and live by our principles.
I believe Rubio has the better principles. Witness Crist begging at the Fed trough for high-speed rail money. THIS IS OUR OWN MONEY HE'S BEGGING FOR!!!!!! If we have so much money to spend for debatable projects, then why are we paying so much in taxes? I have suspicions about Crist, and both candidates should be listened to.
This is the reason for my opening comment. The Republican Party must become the Tea Party or perish. If the Republican Party perishes, the Dems will gain such control as to squash a newly formed Tea Party, through such things as Campaign Reform, etc. I say a prayer daily for the Republican Party to call for a one last chance of we'll do things right now, and if we don't, then we'll quit.
At Fire Fifty (http://www.firefifty.com/phpwiki/index.php ) we have been working on a strategy for 2010. The idea is to have the Republicans run against the Blue Dog Democrats, and have Independent Conservatives to run agains the 80 or so Democrats to the left of them (the ramaining seats are gerry-mandered safe). The idea is to split the races rather than our votes. As Tea Party Independents, we won't run as 3rd party candidates in the Republican races, provided they give us a clear field against the other Democrats.
Split the races, not the conservative vote! It's time to clean House.
Absolutely correct. The gov. has no business in regulating a mythical national championship. The person should apologize and say it was incorrect.
Well said. We need to purge "Fat Cats" and RINO's and the Dems need to purge "<<Fill in word>>Nazis". The problem is will enough Dems and/or Repubs wake up to the corruption filling both parties?
Not to mention that we the voters defeated high speed rail via a ballot initiative a couple years or so ago – what part of "the voters don't want it" do they not understand? Politicians at all levels piss me off.
We need more details about this!
i don't accept the premise that a 3rd party is the answer. it's a very simple thing – promote and elect the most Conservative candidate that we can.
Conservatism is not bound by any party.
if a 3rd party is put on the ticket (again), you will see the left just licking their chops at the prospect of staying in power. sure, we're all stirred up and pissed off right now, but let's think this through. our first order of business is to stop the hemorrhaging. there is a true thirst in our country for candidates that will uphold core conservative principles, and recognize that there is much more at stake than any political party. it's the country as a whole that stands to suffer if we try to take the time, effort and money to try to build a better mouse trap.
I would vote Independent ONLY if it won't split the vote three ways.
Someone on this thread mentioned that the Progressives (socialists) hi-jacked the Democratic Party. Well, that was their tactic, just like a socialist would do…three steps forward and two steps back. It is a tactic that we should use as well, while we continue to find faster remedies….So, we ought to hi-jack the Republican party. This means that we have to highly expose and intimidate the RINOs, and install one of our Tea-Party types into office. Another idea, we could have "democrats In Name Only". Someone runs as a Democrat, but votes for Tea-Party Principles. This would be the start of hi-jacking the Democrat/Socialisst Partyl So what if they exist for only one term!
Remeber, the original tea-party movement….Rule #1: They disguised themselves.
Vote them ALL out in the next available election. then, vote for the PERSON who best exemplifies the ideals you espouse, REGARDLESS of political party. Ignore the "D", the "R", or the "I" after their name and vote for the person who is willing to work for you and who does not think that you should work for them. (stepping off soapbox)
I see all that has happened as a good thing. You can’t defeat an enemy that hides behind the moderate moniker, when in reality they are hard core leftist. And redefines the right (real America) as the lunatic fringe, with the assistance of the MSM, when in reality it’s the other way around. This country is inherently conservative, and the backlash against the left will begin in earnest in 2010.
Gregory – some agreement, some disagreement
Hijacking the pub party isn't really applicable, because most of us just want that party to return to it's proper role in this political insanity. I can't use the root word 'republic' anymore when referring to them, that party hasn't represented a republic for decades. Maybe 'Restore the party'?
We stand on sound principles, and adapting the tactics of those who don't simply because they worked for them is not honoring those principles…. the very reason the pub party has become what it is. We are better than that, and returning to honoring sound principles will defeat the tactics of the soul-less left.
I have been hearing rumors since yesterday but, have not found anything I would trust to repost here. Since most Grand Juries are considered "secret" we may not hear much about it until and maybe never, indictments are issued.
Soros bashing Bush and generally being scary…this video is amazing.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F2IA07ntVkE
Soros defines his concept of "reflexivity" in which he admits that it is possible to "change the outcome of economies."
He totally bashes Bush and his administration. He asserts that the goal of the War in Iraq was Bush trying to establish American Supremacy and sees that as the "truth". And much more.
No one was allowed to hold any of the tea. Persons that were caught with tea would be held for treason. NO TEA!! You would have been a TRAITOR.
"My opposition of the Bush administration was kind of personal…" George Soros
You need an executive to sign legislation to reverse this. This will not be reversed in 2010.
Wow what a bunch of elitists… this video takes the cake!
Time to turn the heat up on corrupt politicians who DO CARE ABOUT YOU AND WILL NOT LISTEN, bias fringe media pushing this absurd agenda and the special interest groups benefitting from it all through http://www.savingtherepublic.com
Happy Tea Party Day!
LOL ………. and so true!
I found another great website for us http://www.americangrandjury.org
Thanks for this site, I just signed up and am getting the word out….These people are TAKING ACTION NOW!
I mean at about 1 hour.
We were forwarned that "we would get you from within",
I think that is happening. I'm so sad about what is
going on in my beloved country, and it seems so hopeless
at times. Some of the Senators like Nelson from Kansas
are being extorted by this administration. It would be
so refreshing to see one, just one, say the h— with
this, go back to his constituents, and say, "this is what's
happening, you either want an honest servant, or one that
can be extorted". Now, how do you think the people in his
state would react? I believe they would respect him more.
Instead, they put their tail between their legs and "cave-in"..
We no longer have real politicians with an iota of guts.None
will do the right thing.
Someone needs to keep on this. Do we know anyone in NY willing to look into this more? We need to protect our own.
Agreed! We'll have to make sure the polling places are NOT compromised by ACORN or the Black Panthers or any other Marxist group. We'll also have to make sure the candidates we support are walking the walk and not just talking the talk!
Revoking all this mess in 2010, or even 2012, would be easier said than done. Especially after the WORLD'S LARGEST EMPLOYER, the US Government-Run Healthcare System, decides to vote to protect their GOVERNMENT JOBS! People, look at the statistics! Also, while you're doing that, check out what kinds of jobs have been predominantly created since the stimulus – GOVERNMENT JOBS!
Daniel Hannan, UK Parliament, said once the huge government jobs unions are created, it is too late to go back, because they will vote as a bloc.
What we have to do is everything in our power to STOP AS MUCH OF THIS AS POSSIBLE BEFORE IT HAPPENS!!!
No, America already has a 3rd party, the "Independent" party. We need a revitalized Republican party that will toss out the likes of Susan Collins & Olympia Snowe of Maine and types like Kay Bailey Hutchison, the largest spending Republican in the Senate, and replace them with REAL Republican Conservatives.
http://www.TeaPartyExpress.com
Those were the good ole' days! Now we have a socialist in the White House and the rest of the world isn't mating us anymore. They are laughing! LOL, LOL, LOL This President is what we call…..Pathetic
Breaking News! Just in:
The United States Constitution has just been found in a dumpster behind the White House:
http://www.youtube.com/watch_popup?v=UZkvkLmkYVg
From what I've read, Andrew is not the Target but a witness for the prosecution. However, Grand Juries have a mind of their own and can lead to anyone, anywhere.
Not to mention that we the voters defeated high speed rail via a ballot initiative a couple years or so ago – what part of "the voters don't want it" do they not understand? Politicians at all levels piss me off.
Bag 'em till it hurts.
I agree, but the American People were fooled by Obama's Lies….He had no experience, no real record as a Senator, no bonafide bith certificate….and yet he won….with Lies and Deceits….So: We can't let that happen again…
If we use their tactics we become them. Rather, let's use the founding fathers as a starting point for agreement, have open honest debate on handling current/future events, come to agreement on points we can, and keep talking on points we can't. The last thing we want is things like ACORN or ClimateGate. Never forget Richard Nixon. It can happen to the Tea Party. Complete honesty and complete openness is the cure and the opposite causes things like what we're seeing from the left.
Hey, dope boy/girl. There is no Senator Nelson from Kansas.
Thanks for the update.

As a rule I do not respond to A—holes but I have your number, you are going to have a long time to talk about guns and all that hate you have inside of you, because this President is going to be in that office for a very long time.
And as far as you are willing to talk about the barrel, you know as well as I we will take your rifle from you and stick it up your rear. that is what your ilk do is talk of guns EDDIE SAULS
You being a ARMY I am surprise at you, its easy for you to make that statement while you are on the public dole
you do not have to pay for your emergency room visits, we the AMERICAN people pay that bill for you.
I am willing to bet that chances are you and your husband are in the army its easy to deduce from your statement. You should go to your mirror and take a good long look at your self and ask yourself the question, what
would I do if I were not in the ARMY and it is obvious you do not have any skills for civilian life. EDDIE
From what I deduce from your greeting, I know you do not know your elbow from your wrist, never mind knowing anything about the BOSTON TEA PARTY, let me tell what you do not know, you do not know how many people participated in the over throwing of the tea, and I know you do not know that the people that unloaded the tea was hired hands, in other words they were poor people like you, as time pass the list got longer, when initially there were
only 32 people that really participated. EDDIE
Before you start to crow about how proud a nation we are, I am suggesting that you might take a little time and read our history. I do not know your S.A.T. therefore I will not tell you where to start. But I had books sent to me from England by a friend. You would be surprise EDDIE SAULS
By taking a play from the Socialist playbook, the easiest way to bring the party system down is to cause it to impload. The easiest way to do that is the start voting in non-incumbents no matter their party. The smaller the candidates election campaign war chest and contributor list the better. By voting in non-incumbents who have no or little ties to special interests, it will take time for these newly elected politicians to create relationships that enable them to get their "cut of the action". By the time they get that arranged, a new election cycle will be starting. Then you vote them out, and vote back in a new non-incumbent. It might take a couple of election cycles, we might end up with politicians that will focus on their duties to truly "serve the people" to keep their elected position and their job. Meanwhile, we the voters vote them out anyway.
Hello. I just moved to the Miami area. I am looking for a solid company to help me with a refinance. I purchased the house from a short sale and had to do business over the phone because I was living in Az. I dont think that I got a good deal. My interest rate in now 6.99 percent. I think that I can refinance and get a much better deal. Please point me in the right direction.
