White House’s Serves Acorn Cookies at Annual Christmas Party

Any fan of Cookie Monster on Sesame Street knows that “C” is for cookie.
But at the Obama White House, “A” may be for acorn — as in acorn cookies served at Monday’s annual Christmas party.
The chocolate cookies shaped like an acorn were quite a hit with Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa.
“I didn’t expect to see such stark symbolism,” King said in an e-mail.
President Obama worked with the community organizing group ACORN in the mid-90s. But now ACORN faces a host of allegations related to voter fraud in the 2008 election and has been weakened by an undercover expose that shows employees offering tax advice to a couple posing as a pimp and prostitute.
The irony of the White House dishing out acorn-shaped chocolate cookies seemed a little, well, “nutty” to King. The Iowa Republican is one of the loudest voices calling for Congress to investigate ACORN.

There is NOTHING "festive"/Christmasy about acorns. They have NEVER been a part of ANY religious or secular ceremonies held in the month of December.

I never thought I'd feel compelled to say this, but after seeing all of the outrageous acts that have taken place in our White House…is there any wonder why so many people DIDN'T want him as president?
They have dumbed down our country and made a complete mockery of the beauty of our constitution. They have brought nothing but crooks, thugs, cons, and pervs into our once treasured monuments of freedom and have made us a joke around the world. All the while pissing away our tax dollars on these ridiculuous parties for his crooked cronies. They have tainted everything good. I like your suggestion also. We should send the president and family some of those for Christmas. I use the "little p" on purpose. He is not my President. I was just thinking how cool it would be to bake cookies also with a lot of messages written on the cookies ie., "Please resign". He has ALWAYS had the sense that he, Barry, " THE MAGNIFICENT", is better than everyone else, rules don't apply to him, and that everything good should just be handed to him on a silver platter, without him having to actually DO anything for it. The Nobel Peace Prize proved that to him, as has everything else in his sorry life. It's how he was raised/taught to see himself.
Add to the above, his own psychological problems……………….his father was NEVER a father to him and he only met him once, when he was 10, and then only for a very small time period; a matter of days.
His mother wasn't a stay at home mom, she was either in school or off doing her own thing, the few years he actually spent with her and lets not forget that most of that time she was married to another man, had another child, and then shipped him off back to her parents.
Then there's the fact that he spent years in Indonesia where he was a minority of a minority; a complete OUTSIDER, who couldn't speak the language and at a school for Muslim Indonesians; not the American school !
These competing influences have all combined to make him what he is; which isn't good.
Sure, lots of our presidents have come from dysfunctional families, many had a hard scrabble life ( Barry sure didn't ! ), some had drunks for a father, some had fathers who weren't in the picture or, if they were, were only there in body, still, there's never been one, before, who had such a messed up background.
Add to that his admitted drug use, I believe pot, cocaine and/or heroin. Bush was crucified for drinking, which is a Kennedy past-time. When have we ever had a president that admitted to prolonged drug use.
Not to mention his sketchy college record, oh, we don't have that. Remember how Bush was run down for his Yale grades. I can't believe the audacity of deceit, and opacity.

Maybe you weren't on line back then, perhaps your newspapers didn't carry the story, but it DID come out that President Bush's grades ( prep school, college, and grad school ) were ALL better than Gores. Not only that, but Gore FUNKED OUT of Divinity school, after only a semester and a bit, prior to his then going on to law school, which his parents ( mostly his mother ), pulled all kinds of strings to get him into, as she also had done to get him into Divinity school. Both were at the same college, BTW.
What little we know about Barry, comes directly from those two books of his, THAT HE DID NOT WRITE . GOD only knows what the truth is, about him. Goodness knows, he has spent a small fortune to keep EVERYTHING out of public knowledge. But, from his own books, we do know about his underage drinking and his drug usage.
Acorn will be around when the Republican party is just a withering memory. Show us the whole video, not just the parts you want us to see. You edited out other parts. Deception will backfire once it is exposed.
This definitively raises my opinion of Obama. I was starting to lose faith in him with not prosecuting those responsible for torture, using fabricated and cherry picked evidence to start a war, illegal wiretapping of American citizens, and various other crimes. I much would have preferred Dennis Kucinich and or Ron Paul. Acorn is a good organization that helps poor and older people vote. They have had employees caught doing improper things and quickly removed them.

Nixon was hellbent on consolidating power in the executive branch (sound familiar) and I don't care which party he belonged to, I don't hold with that.
I was too young to care about politics when Nixon was in office, I was still in school. What little I know of him has been learned lately. I am not defending the man, I am talking about facts. Very few presidents were truly good, most were very flawed.
He may have been pulling for the executive branch, but that is the beauty of this system, the balance of power. Obama is hellbent on taking over the whole thing. That should truly scare you.
