When Peter Schweizer uncovered evidence of insider trading by Republican chairman of the House Financial Services Committee Spencer Bachus (R-AL), and 60 Minutes reported on it, I was the first person to call for Rep. Bachus to resign. That was November 14, 2011. Now, with news that the Office...

Why Dick Cheney Should Run in 2012
Gallup is not asking about him in its prospective polling, and his daughter Liz's recent Fox News Sunday allusion to a presidential run provoked good-natured laughter, as though the suggestion were just a one-liner. Float the hypothetical in political conversation, and people roll their eyes dismissively.
But I think we should be taking the possibility of a Dick Cheney bid for the Republican presidential nomination in 2012 more seriously, for a run would be good for the Republicans and good for the country. (The sound you just heard in the background was liberal readers spitting out their lattes.)

I've been wanting him to run, but I don't think he will. At this point he's the only person I want to vote for.
As to the topic on the open thread, it makes one reflect, just what the world would have been like today, had the United Nations not muscled Palestine into accepting Israel and Arab states. The world would certainly have been a whole lot more peaceful. They partitioned Palestine into doing so, to allow israel to exist, to fulfill a Biblical Prophey, actually bring us all additional steps closer to the end of the world and the Apocolypse. Some things would be best left alone. It sure created a world of hate. Ever since that day, Muslim fanatics, Christian fanatics, and even Jewish fanatics have have had a field day, spouting their own respective brands of fundamentalism.
I'd vote for Giuliani too. That is one man who knows how to take charge. I saw that in action BEFORE 911.
Right now I would vote for any person that loves this Country and would scale down government.
peace is the ticket to prosperity, for over 50 years people in this region have failed to realize this, just goes to show how stupid racial pride is; no one has ever had anything to do with what race they are in this world so why all the pride in something you had nothing to do with, seems stupid to me.
Check out Lt. Colonel Allen West, US Army-Retired, running for Congress in Florida. Hooah!

The Original Nation Israel was created as a Proto-type nation by God. The other gentile nations (70) as well were created by God. The Proto-type Nation had its ups and downs and were blessed when they were good and punished when they were violating their God-given laws which were the best. Their last major punishment was under King Solomon who was not wise enuff to keep his nation together. So a civil war happened, North against South. The Northern "States" were captured or else assimilated into other gentile "States" or people-groups.
In the latter days, those two entities would re-join as allies as World Forces are a huge threat. This comment is Bible Only & I don't belong to any official denomination.
jesus said "blessed are the poor" why does anyone want to be blessed, and why do people say have a blessed day, i say no thanks to the blessing if ya dont mind
Frankly, I don't care what the Israelis, Palestinians, or Arabs do. If they go to war and manage to eliminate each other from the map, the world becomes a better place.
EVERYONE needs to see this clip ESPECIALLY THE WELFARE RATS OF SOCIETY ! The man has verve and could well be a political force here in Florida ! All you voters in the 22nd disctrict need to get behind this man. Superb video…… Thanks, Prof !
At this point, I don't trust the two parties at all.
Of those to be "considered", only Palin would receive my vote because I don't think Fred Thompson will run. If the GOP doesn't put up a true conservative, I'll write in Sarah Palin's name.
Unfortunately, due to the nature of islam (see India/Pakistan history as well), this problem only has one solution and that is complete and total military victory. Iran realizes this and is working towards that goal. When will we?
In the meantime…..
Lose those holiday pounds!!!
It's science!

Did you ever pause a moment to reflect? Everyone wants to go to heaven, but nobody wants to die…………
(Unless of coures you are one of the Muslim Hordes, in a hurry to get there for those nubile hairy virgins)
In the latter days all peoples will be screaming for Peace, Peace and there is no peace. A personage will sit in the Temple at Jerusalem, the Jewish temple which isn't built yet and claim to be the Great Peace-Maker as well as claim to be God….and deceive all peoples….Then, on that day, you can absolutely count the days whe;n there will be peace. The number of days is 1,260, or 3-1/2 years on the Jewish calendar which has 360 days. Thirty (30) days after that The Kingdom of God starts, and then we will have 1,000 years of peace and then a short time of trouble. The battle at Armegeddon will be the last battle. This will also be the end of the "Holy" Roman Empire which is the last gentile, major world power. The way to escape and have real Hope is to read the New Testament and believe…Do a Fast Check with Bible Preachers…Try to prove wrong what I have informed you of..
We are not "Prooducts" of Darwinism, ok.
well spoken…and gee he didn't even use a teleprompter….Now this is someone we need to fund!!…and you don't have to be in his district to do so!!!
And we want more control given over to the United Nations? Ouch that could be really bad!
thank you for providing the link. He is great!
The very, very 1st war was in the Heavens and continues to this day. The Chief Angel, Lucifer rebelled against God. And Lucifer had a following of 1/3 of the angels….billions…2/3’s good “guys” Vs 1/3 “bad guys”. It’s really like a Star Wars scenario. Lucifer hi-jacked the Planet Earth and humanity in general, where the War continues on the Human level. Just as we know that the USA has been hi-jcaked by SCABs, realize that we have all been hi-jacked a long time ago, and still under the influence of the degenerating “holi” roman empire, the last human govt system. All Founding Documents gives us the right to be separate from that. The Luciferian System will be “chained up” for 1,000 years. We won’t be subject to lies and deceptions any more…that’s a beTTer Hope. As an electrician, I always say that “their lies are in series, and Our Truth is in Parallel”. The World Focus will be on the Mid-East continually until it’s all over with…The next major war involing Israel is mentioned in EZ Chs 38 & 39…The who, what, when, why, & to what extent, How many K.I.A. and the length of time for burial and when the burial starts. Could be in several stages. But that is not the Last Battle. Israel wins but still gets “trampled on” for a time.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ…
I’m going to give a little something towards Lt Col Allen West’s campaign, even though I’m from WI. Obummer doesn’t measure up to West’s little finger. We need to do exactly what he said + whatever else so that we get the enemy in a cross-fire…Viet Nam type.
Too bad the lame stream media is more interested in the Tiger Woods incident than they were in investigating our current president.
Where does Jack in the Beanstalk fit in all this?
I've don't trust either party, and have never belonged to either.
I spent decades as a fire-breathing, insult hurling, semi-liberal independent. After realizing the emptiness of modern liberal ideology, I've started looking more closely at the GOP. But I'm not overly excited with what I've seen. Primarily the GOP establishment's war on Gov. Palin.
I mean, why on earth does the GOP seem to want to do what ever the LSM (lame stream media) insist it do? Why on earth did they nominate McCain, and tar Palin?
Do they really want Chris Matthews approval that bad?
As an independent, I've watch with both fascination and amusement the trials and tribulations of Dick Cheney.
I see no reason for 99% of the insults hurled at him. My first taste of Mr. Cheney came during the VP debate against Liberman. And the one thought I came away with is, both tickets were upside down. Hands down Cheney appeared smarter and smoother than Bush, and Liberman made Gore look like, well, Al Gore. Enough said.
As near as I could figure out, the left's manic compulsion to paint Bush as an idiot came with a serious flaw. To believe the President a dunce, how could the left claim he tricked all the democrats over Iraq?
The answer they chose was the Darth Vader Dick Cheney. Which I never bought.
So yes, I see no reason not to vote for him. Especially considering their last candidate. Did they actually expect me to vote for McCain? The guy is an opponent of my right to free speech.
If I remember my ancient historical religious maps, Israel wasn't given their ancient land, but rather the Philistines land. Ancient Israel and Judea occupied the Jordan river valley, the higher ground, but except for a few reigns, David, Solomon, maybe a couple more, they never really conquered or held the coast lines.
It wasn't till 1967 that Israel captured the West Bank, but they never did get the east bank.
Not agreeing or disagreeing with you, just some ancient trivia.
That's why the smartest from all nations around the world said 'screw that' and came to America.
One of the greatest ideas that comprise the American experiment is the sins of the father are not the sins of the son.

tell that to the deficit
if its a free country why then is the govt. forcing the citizens to do things like buy heath insurance
Cheney doesn't want to run; doesn't even want to hold another political office.
His age, health, and after spending almost his entire life in the service of this nation, he deserves a well earned respit.
It's the distaff siode that the GOP should be seriously looking at………………Palin and Liz Cheney.
Really? 1947 was the year Muslim/Christian/Jewish "fanatics" started having a "field day?" Sooooo . . . the original crusades, in which Muslims swept through the Middle East, into India, across North Africa and into Spain . . . that wasn't about anything, really? Actually, your post shows a real lack of knowledge of the history of the region and the agreements regarding the partition. As a cure, I'd recommend "From Time Immemorial" by Joan Peters. A bit dry and hard to get through at times, but an excellent overview of the region.
Just so you know, there is no such thing as "Palestinian" in the sense it is used today. There were, historically, nor Arab/Semitic/Muslim peoples known as "Palestinians." The *region* was name Palestine after the Romans put down a Jewish revolt, so named after the Philistines, simply to insult the Jews. It had nothing to do with any ethnicity/tribe/group association.
Most people called "Palestinian" today are actually a polyglot group of descendants (rather recent, relatively speaking) from groups from Syria, Egypt, the Arabian Peninsula, and Turkey.
the sinner,
Patrick
The UN partition was not between Israel and Palestine, it was between Israel and Transjordan ( now Jordan ). The concept of the Palestinian people was invented later.
Our job, as Christians, will be to reach as many as will listen. Over the years, I've heard many preach about "the end times", pre-trib, post-trib, semi-colon, none of that will matter, only warning people about whats ahead will matter, it isn't going to be pretty.
The 1967 Six Day War completed rather than began the transformation of Israel, in the minds of African-American radicals like Stokely Carmichael (Kwame Ture) of the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee, from an anti-colonial David battling the British Goliath to an imperialist ally of America's Philistines, intent on conquering the Egyptian frontier of African anti-colonialism. Rejecting the pro-Israel spin placed by earlier African-American preachers on Psalms 68:31 – "Ethiopia shall stretch forth her hands to God" – Carmichael had already enlisted under Gamal Abdel Nasser's banner: "We are Africans wherever we are. [Israel] is moving to take over Egypt. Egypt is our motherland – it's in Africa." Israel's Trotskyist Matzpen movement subsequently encouraged American Black Panthers to go one step further by staging a hostile occupation of the Jewish state.

It took until the 1973 Yom Kippur War and Arab oil embargo for African nations to follow African-American nationalists by drastically distancing themselves from Israel.
Yet the Zionist template's hold on African and African-American thought – about which Malcolm X declared toward the end of his life: "Pan Africanism will do for the people of African descent all over the world, the same that Zionism has done for Jews all over the world" – still occasionally surfaces in black memory. It remains to be seen whether it will survive the age of Obama.
After the Obama administration voiced "dismay" earlier this month at the decision by the Jerusalem municipality to approve 900 new housing units in the Jewish neighborhood of Gilo, straddling the Green Line, former housing minister Meir Sheetrit quipped that the White House seems to think that Jerusalem has been the capital of Israel since Camp David, not King David.

Criticisms of Obama's earlier Cairo speech – which urged Arabs and Muslims to accept the reality of the Holocaust but not the Jews' historic claim to Jerusalem or the modern Zionist movement's century-long connection to the Holy Land – are on point but are only half the story. America's first African-American president not only suffers from historical amnesia regarding Israel's pre-1948 roots, he is also oblivious to African and African-American debts to the Zionist movement.
The story begins in 1898 when Edward Wilmot Blyden – whose status as the founding father of the modern pan-African movement was recognized by Cheikh Anta Diop, George Padmore and Kwame Nkrumah – lauded Theodore Herzl's launching of "that marvelous movement called Zionism" in Der Judenstaat (1896). Born into a free black family on Charlotte-Amalie, capitol of St. Thomas, Danish Virgin Islands, Blyden always prided himself on his ties to Amalie's 400-strong Jewish community which produced such expatriate luminaries as Impressionist painter Camille Pisarro and whose rabbi taught him the rudiments of Hebrew.
After unsuccessfully pursuing a theological education in the US, Blyden became an agent of the American Colonization Society to Liberia, the American "Back to Africa" experiment that in 1847 became an independent nation. Devoting the rest of his life to Africa as an educator, publicist, and diplomat, he traveled widely including an 1866 trip to Jerusalem about which he wrote in From West Africa to Palestine (1873).
Blyden did not visit early Alliance Israelite Universelle projects, but nevertheless predicted that "Jews are to be restored to the land of their fathers" once "the misrule of the Turks" was overcome. He also longed for the emergence among African-Americans of "a Negro of Negroes, like Moses was a Hebrew of the Hebrews – even if brought up in Pharaoh's house."
Without any knowledge of Blyden, Herzl in his 1902 novel, Altneuland, has Zionist Professor Steineck remark: "Now, that I have lived to see the return of the Jews, I wish I could help to prepare the return of the Negroes… All men should have a homeland." This was Blyden's view until his death in 191
FAST FORWARD to the 1920s. Americans, white and black, are riveted by the pyrotechnic conflict between Marcus Josiah Garvey, the Jamaican-born "Black Moses" and leader of the Universal Negro Improvement Association, and W. E. B. Du Bois, godfather of the NAACP. In 1918, when he launched his newspaper, The Negro World, Garvey cabled British foreign minister Arthur Balfour to do for Africans what the Balfour Declaration promised to do for Jews. Subsequently, his attitude soured toward American Jews, whom he unfairly blamed for his conviction and deportation in 1927 for mail fraud and for their support for Du Bois's civil rights agenda. Yet, despite praising Hitler after 1933, Garvey never abandoned "white Zionism" as the model for his own "Back to Africa" crusade.
Du Bois outgrew the patina of genteel anti-Semitism he absorbed at Harvard and German universities as he worked with Jews such as Joel and Arthur Spingarn and Rabbi Stephen S. Wise in founding the NAACP. The issuance of the Balfour Declaration in 1917 helped crystallize Du Bois's decision to launch the Pan African Congress in 1919. In Paris that year, he declared: "The African movement must mean to us what the Zionist movement must mean to the Jews, the centralization of race effort and the recognition of a racial front."
In 1921, Du Bois commented favorably on the completion of blueprints for a Hebrew University on Mount Scopus "in the new Palestine." In 1929, he blamed "the murder of Jews in Palestine" by "ruthless and bloodthirsty evil-doers" primarily on British maladministration. His sympathy for Jewish victims of persecution worldwide made him one of a handful of intellectuals to recognize in the midst of World War II the unfolding of the Holocaust.
Polish Jewish adventurer and Zionist Jacques Faitlovich established the American Pro-Falasha Committee in 1922 and brought Emmanuel Taamrat, the first Falasha to come to the New York, to study in the US around 1931. Arnold J. Ford, leader of one among many "Black Jewish" congregations asserting a hereditary connection with the biblical Hebrews, decided after a meeting with Faitlovich to move his congregation to Addis Ababa where he showed them films about the Holy Land and preached Jewish-Arab reconciliation. Carried over from Haile Selassie's heroic resistance to Mussolini in 1936, "the Ethiopian mystique" among Christian as well as "Black Jewish" African-Americans remained overwhelmingly pro-Zionist through 1948 – with the exception of such fringe groups as Elijah Muhammad's The Nation of Islam.
Menachem Begin, who met secretly with the UN's Ralph Bunche, winner of the 1950 Nobel Prize for his mediation of an end to the first Arab-Israel war, recalled Bunche saying: "I can understand you. I am also a member of a persecuted minority."
THE SUBSEQUENT anti-Israel shift in African-American and African opinion – far from being a natural evolution of historical attitudes – was very much driven by the white leftist party line. It began as early as the 1956 Suez Campaign with Du Bois. During the Popular Front era when the Kremlin's line had been pro-Israel, Du Bois denounced Saudi Arabia's unrepentant continuation of the slave trade and criticized the Arabs for "widespread ignorance and poverty and disease and a fanatic belief in the Mohammedan religion." U-turning after the new anti-Israel party line, Du Bois in a 1956 poem, "Suez," portrayed Israelis as "the shock troops" of Anglo-American imperialist
Because there's a lot of people who don't want a free country. There are those who fear freedom and not having some one tell them what to do. And there are plenty of people who want that job.
Why not reflect on how the world might be had the Arab League said, "WELCOME" instead of, "WAR!"
I see no reason to believe that giving in to Arab xenophobia would have resulted in any benefits.

The U.N. was foolish to partition the territory the way they did. It was a recipe for disaster, to be sure. With all the surrounding territories for these Arabs to relocate to, why do you suppose the U.N. insisted they live in such close proximity despite the obvious ethnic tensions? Why do you suppose the Jews permitted the "Palestinians" to remain after the 6 day war that followed their declaration of statehood? Why do none of the neighboring nations open their doors to the "Palestinians" where they can live free from "oppression"? If the opportunity exists then why would or have the "Palestinians" not take advantage of it? Why is it the only aid we hear of coming from the rest of the Arab world is in the form of arms rather than aid?
Let's get to the heart of it. Why do Arabs and Muslims hate Jews? Find the answer and you will understand why the Middle East is in such turmoil.
I see it like this. Muslims are like killer bees. All a Jew needs to do is breathe and they swarm. It's not so bad with Christians but once a single bee finds excuse enough to sting you, they swarm. Islam is at it's very core, antagonistic to any other religion.

Palestine is simply Philistine in another tongue. Rest assured there are many who are and do Identify themselves as Philistine. What is seldom mentioned is that a very small percentage of those currently in Israel are decedents of the indigenous people.
What is seldom mentioned is that as Jews immigrated to Palestine so too were Arabs. At the beginning of the British mandate the Arabs immigrated 3 to 1 for every Jew. By the end of the British mandate they were immigrating at a frightening 10 to 1 ratio. Coincidence? I think not.
By this statement, do you mean we should separate Chuch from State?
"All Founding Documents gives us the right to be separate from that."

PRETRIB RAPTURE RUSTLERS
To see the long hidden side of the 179-year-old, British-invented-and-American-merchandised, apocalyptic "rapture" mania, Google "Pretrib Rapture Diehards," "Thomas Ice (Bloopers)" (the sloppy copyist "genius" that Lindsey, LaHaye and other "rapture" tycoons lean on!), "LaHaye's Temperament," "America's Pretrib Rapture Traffickers," "Edward Irving is Unnerving," "Thieves' Marketing," "Appendix F: Thou Shalt Not Steal," "The Newest Pretrib Calendar," "The Rapture Index (Mad Theology)," "Roots of (Warlike) Christian Zionism" and "Pretrib Rapture Dishonesty," for starters. The author of these items plus the bestselling nonfiction book "The Rapture Plot" (available online) is journalist/historian Dave MacPherson who has uniquely focused for 40 years on the bizarre history of this endtime craze which is anti-Jewish, anti-Catholic and anti- just about everyone else! MacPherson is the "Pretrib Rapture Answerman" who has researched throughout Britain and aired so much rapturesque "dirty linen" that he's found behind the scenes (clever revisionism of early 19th century documents, rampant plagiarism, phony doctorates, Swaggart-type scandals etc.) that he is now No. 1 on the hate lists of the leading "rapture" money-changers! As everyone's black, dust-covered book says, "There is nothing hidden that won't be revealed…." (PS: Google "Pretrib Hypocrisy" for stun gun shocks about the Assemblies of God with which there's a Sarah Palin connection!)
