The Speaker of the House historically hasn’t been assigned a special government plane. That changed after 9-11, when the government decided that the individual who was third in succession needed secure travel. The Speaker at the time, Dennis Hastert, was assigned a small military jet, although he rarely used it. When Nancy Pelosi became Speaker she…well…upgraded, to a Boeing 757. Consider this as you plan your holiday travel next week.

When she requested that jet a couple years ago, it made a blip in the news, but the story never grew legs. She is awarding hereslf all the perks that Saudi Royalty should have.
Ken, stop. You have to know that terms like 'how often' and 'cost' don't apply to San Fran Nan. She's…above such petty ideas. She's the Speaker of the House, and she's Nancy Pelosi. That means she's more important than most other people. Of course she's entitlted to that plane, no matter how wasteful it is. After all, the taxpayers and their money are an unlimited natural resource.
If she were honest-I know, har dee har-that's how she'd put it.

Pelosi's Perplexing Plane Problem.
For those familiar with the story, when Madame Nancy ascended the Throne to Her Royal Highness, she was adamant that she should no longer have a "little" plane. She had plane envy. She was now Her Royal Higness, the Speaker, the Oracle, the Edifice and the Orfice. She could not be inconvienenced with a plane that had to land mid- continent to refuel. For SECURITY REASONS, she had to have a plane that could fly non stop to Looney Land. Never mind the FACT that where she landed to refuel, was on Military Bases.
But in retrospect, perhaps those bases aren't as secure as we originally thought…………..
Can someone tell me what Speaker Pelosi's Carbon footprint is? Not that I car but I do think cap and trade is complete hypocrisy and just another way to rob money from the American people. The poor and middle class will be the ones that take the Brunt of Cap and Trade. The US will lose manufacturing jobs and face skyrocketing energy cost. Oh and the great one admitted this himself while on the campaign trail.

The forward of my copy of 1984 says that 1984 can be considered one part of a "Dystopia trilogy." The other two novels are Brave New World by Huxley, and We by Zamyatin.
Just thinking Brave New World, one of their major tenets was sex without consequences–which also happens to be a pillar of liberal thought in the form of a woman's right to choose. Then there's happiness through pharmaceuticals. A conspiracy theorist might consider the push for marijuana legalization as a stepping stone to this goal…

But this is their mantra. They claim to champion the poor, not by empowering them, but drawing them in to a system of manipulation through entitlement/dependence. The poor are led to believe they are oppressed but where are the democratic bills calling for job training programs and creation of learning centers? Instead we have democratic support for groups like ACORN who teach the people how to work the system instead of contribute. Rather than require drug tests for those on welfare they would prefer to quibble over snack and soda machines in high school lunchrooms. Rather than fix the ailing medicare system they would prefer to "overhaul" the health care system under the guise of "reform" . All so they can insert government further into our daily lives. If they truly cared for those 31 million people they would fix the broken programs that already exist. Instead they push bill after bill that cannot promise to do anything except raise taxes and insurance premiums for everyone.
It is a shame that the American public hasn't paid any attention to this crazy woman! she is anti-American, anti-rights for Americans and thinks she is bettre than everyone else. She has an ego that is way over inflatted to the point that fi you don't wnat what she's selling you should be jailed. Talk about a totla lunitic! This woman needs to be impeached and jailed for failing to uphold her oath of office. she is openly calling for hispsanics to ignore our laws. Not really Joe. According to Air Force records, Hastert used a 12 seat military commuter plane on 29 of the 30 requesitioned trips he took in 36 months(04-07) as speaker. The Red Queen in 21 months (through Nov. 2008) used 54 military jets for trips using C20B, C32, C37A, C40C and C9 jets. Her most oft used jet thru last year was the 42 seat C37A. Hastert used a Jet at our expense every 36.5 days. The Botox Hag every 11.8 days.

I seem to recall the House Sergeant-at-Arms saying that he had requested the plane for the Speaker's security, and a major reason for the upgrade in the plane's size is that she has a lot further to fly to her home district than Hastert, and needs a plane that can make the trip?
