Nixon sees North to Alaska is ok with Gov. Palin having to pay $500,000 to defend herself against those bogus ethics claims made by Democratic Operatives. No shock there.

The only helm she's likely to have control over is the family fishing boat's.

I think elitists struggle with Sarah Palin because she's a feminist, minus all the ugly political leftist baggage...and all the negative connotations of the word, as well. She can succeed in a male-dominated sphere without being a man hater. She embodies independence but not self-centeredness.

Palin is genuine. You never feel like she's given herself up to the indignity of being "managed" or made-over to fit a preconceived notion of "politically acceptable." Compared to a whole lot of posturers and posers in politics today, she's a definite anomaly.

My sister and I were following her career before she emerged as McCain's running mate. We only got excited for the Republican ticket after she joined it. My first ever political contribution went to McCain because of Palin. She's the real deal, and a rarity among political creatures because she doesn't have the same disconnect from reality that her peers in Washington show.

Every politician's got weaknesses and imperfections...the real question is whether those flaws will drive their constituencies over a cliff...I don't see that at all likely with Sarah at the helm, wherever that helm may eventually be.

That's all well and good. She has every right to write a book and sell it. No problem there. All I said was that she quit as governor. Which she did. And that her decision was a self-interested one. Which I believe is true. Sarah is all about Sarah. No problem there, either. Just the reality.

watch the left's true colors come shining thru, then our side can denounce the opposition as racist AND sexist for a change.

I stopped drinking Kool-Aid when I was about 12. I believe Nixon was President at that time and I remember the Jonestown massacre to which you refer. Unlike liberals, I don't jump behind a messiah because their popular or cool or they say things I want to hear. I do it because I see their actions match their rhetoric, unlike most politicians on both sides of the fence.

No one is perfect, certainly not Gov. Palin. I like her message though and I will support her, as do many Americans. When she slips, we'll call her on it, unlike the liberal sheep following their herders.

She has as much right to travel, "hither and yon" as much as any person. The book, which I haven't read, is the only vehicle she has to tell her side of the story. God knows she'll never get a fair chance if she allows the media to control the format. It's not human nature to attack if there's no threat or nothing to be gained. This woman has no power over anyone and probably won't. Why is she still so viciously attacked by most media? I don't recall the media ever fact checking a liberal's book.
