This is it. It seems that Speaker Nancy Pelosi is almost done twisting arms and leadership has just announced a vote in as little as 72 hours. That would make the final vote this Sunday. I am abhorred that Pro-life democrats are asked to vote on a pro-abortion...

In rememberance of that anniversary, they should officially shut it down.

Ron Paul for President.
That was a black day in history…
I'm all for shutting down the Federal Reserve. But then, who would control monetary policy, Congress? THIS Congress? That's frightening.
Rand Paul for President.

Sarh Palin … Looks like it's going to be a tough week for you … Watching the Today show and all they did was go off on you !!!!
Keep it up girl – this just means they are afraid…. again they had nothong good to say about you
Good luck this week!!!!
I'm sure the Today Show, and certainly the gals on The View will all be opining on Palin. Gotta love it when the get thier knickers in a knot!
Get ready for next year. If you think our economy under Carter was bad, wait until this Congress manages to create funding obligations that will capsize us in a sea of debt, drive the dollar down further, raise taxes so high that even those industries that didn't plan to leave start to head for foreign shores, gooses unemployment further, and sets our children up for lives of subservience to foreign potentates who hold our paper.
The movie "2012" just out is a metaphor for our economy at the hands of clueless spendthrifts who misunderstand basic finance and economics.
People: It's time to face the music and start repaying the massive debt we've accumulated, that is if you want to see the US of A survive.
I got to thinking: "Why would Obama bow again to a world leader when the first time he did it was so embarrassing for him?" Think King of Saudi Arabia. And then it struck me–he did as a way to distract from the first bow. The Japanese bow is really Obama's way of diluting the "real" bow to the King of Saudia Arabia.
Obama is ALL about the photo op and perception.
Think about it. Right now the Obama administration has handed over the mastermind of 9-11 to a NYC civilian court. And in an amazing coincidence this is announced while Obama is out of the country on the way to, among other places, Japan. So he bows to the Japanese leader.
That picture goes viral. The WH comes up with the lame excuse of "protocol" when we have seen that every other leader in the world just shakes the Japanese leader's hand. Now there is further evidence that this is "just the way the President does things." Of course we know that is BS because he didn't do this to the Queen of England among other people.
It's all subterfuge. As it always is.
At least we can vote congressional reps out. We have zero control at the Fed.
How about the free market? We conservatives are really good at being proponents for our beliefs right up to the moment when those beliefs require actual merit. Money is a market like any other and will always seek value. Allow competing currencies and let people choose the currency they want to use. Artificially set interest rates have caused much of the market distortions that led us to the mess we're in now. The market can determine interest rates based on an aggregate of information just like all other prices. Panama has no central bank. They use which ever currency gives them the best value. Traditionally it's been the dollar, but they are free to switch to another if they find a better store of their wealth. Many folks there have accounts denominated in different currencies and just use the one that best protects their wealth. In the age of electronic money, conversion is instantaneous and hassle free.

I agree CL, how can we do this?
Ok, but there is that minor constitutional issue. Congress has the power to coin money and regulate the value thereof. Of course, that's one reason the Federal Reserve needs to be abolished along with the personal income tax. We can always try to amend the Constitution, but we should never let them sidestep its restraints again.
There's so much work to do to in order to clean up the gov mess… We need to go back to scratch… Remove everything… all laws, all gov agencies and start over with just the constitution… and new gov "politicians".
…pipe dream.
Money is simply the 3rd party in a two way trade. And the Common Denominator in the exchange of goods and services. Usury charges highly interfere with the values…Therefore if we Nationalize the "federal" Reserve Bank and still charge interest, we will continue to have financial problems. This is because no currency is issued for the interest portion of the loan. The borrower is enslaved to the lender. The Private Bank Industry is a monopoly.
Mr O is over in Asia preaching to them about "Freedom" He is also greatly concerned about the corruption in the Afgan govt. Boy its a good thing we don't have those problems. Mr O, Holder, and Gore, Axelrod need some Wild West Justice.
Andrea Mitchell Trashed Palin and her new book with such joy, Shes so nice!!! Your best candidate is the one the Dems hate the most..
Obam needs to get a new person at the protocol office on this bow thing …
Oh – I see why she is having issues … it's the post office fault and her TAXES !!!

Yep, 95 years ago today marked the beginning of the end for Capitalism, and the start of a new era of social engineering…Just rest assured that THIS POTUS won't be serving 4 terms!!!
Exactly! Enacting the Federal Reserve Act was a way for Congress to be able point the finger at someone else when we hit a bump in the road! It's a disgusting abdication of responsibility.
oh yea don't forget the returning of the Churchill bust !!
and DVD for Gordon Brown ….

Politicians? Hell no! Patriots!
As a people we have had a disgusting abdication of responsibility where our elected officials are concerned, among many other things. Self Government means governing ourselves and families first.
We have the government we deserve. Eternal vigilance is the price of liberty.
I agree in principle, however we have to have something to replace it and a Congress with the will to implement a wise alternative.
Sadly, you are completely correct.
When did we abdicate our own responsibility to take care of ourselves?
The ONLY way to rectify the coming collapse of the US fiat dollar is severely restrain the federal budget, the bulk of which is entitlement spending.
It's time for the boomers to make up for their wild spending governments and vote to limit/means test/privatize the social security/medicare systems.
I'd take a Grover Cleveland, too. His solution to an economic downturn? Do nothing. His recession was sharp and short, because he allowed the market to purge the bad investments and get back on stable footing!
That depends on who the GOP elevates to oppose him. Which depends on the liberty loving citizens to be involved in more than pulling a lever against Obama.
When Khalid Shaikh Mohammed is brought to NYC make sure you have a camera on his face when he is able to see what he has done… make sure you get the smirk eric holder on his face… make sure you look into his mind when he it thinking about all the people jumping out of the windows… why is he here agian ????
"Mr O, Holder, and Gore, Axelrod need some Wild West Justice."
What exactly are you saying here?
Yes. I like your correction…
It can't be anything worse than Nidal Malik Hasan was saying, so what does it matter? If this post came from a Muslim extremist terrorist would anyone be asking?
Oprah was wonderful with my girlfriend Sarah Palin. Sarahs Star shined, she is a great women, mother and politician. She is what this country needs, a caring, Honest, Decent person to clean up DC. Thats why they hate her, they know she will take out the trash. She says shes not running in 2012, but I'm not taking off my bumper sticker. Shes a Class Act!!! Im waiting for her book.
So, instead of getting that dough taken from me against my will all these years in that deduction called "FICA," and considering that I've been prudent in my investments and have lived within my means all my life while simultaneously educating my kids, driving cars until they become "classics," foregoing vacations, and many other things to increase my savings and investments, I'll be "rewarded" with a denial of my benefits when I become eligible just because I was sensible?
Not happenin' dude.
It's time to follow the wise McCain's advice and figure out a way to stop pork completely and force each new budget to match revenue. When it doesn't, entitlements are off-limits. Many of those, like SS, are contracts. We'll just have to cut off the spigot for many other things and to hell with the complainers.
Creature from Jekyll Island is a must read by everyone.
Nice Picture & posting also. Thank you for nice posting.
Can somebody let me know how tough to apply for a Pell Grant?
Supposedly this apparently an easy scholarship. Anyone know anything about it or had any luck with it?
Thanks!
Nice blogging. I’ve subscribed to the RSS. Grants are still hard to find, no?
