Andrew Breitbart blew into Washington recently for what amounted to a victory lap.
The Internet entrepreneur spent last week soaking up accolades from conservatives for having offered guidance to the two twenty-somethings who posed as a pimp and prostitute and took a hidden camera into several ACORN offices. The pair filmed workers from the national liberal community group appearing to aid them as they inquired about starting a brothel — a move that has put ACORN on the defensive and made the activists, James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles, instant conservative heroes.
But in the end it’s Breitbart who may be the biggest winner.
It was the 40-year-old Breitbart who masterminded the strategy of releasing the videos one at a time on his Web site, Big Government, as a way of maximizing exposure of the campaign against ACORN. And it is Breitbart who is being heralded as the conservative movement’s new Web wizard and the answer to liberal sites such as the Huffington Post and Talking Points.
In Washington, the burly, white-haired Breitbart –who runs his Web sites from his basement in Westwood, Calif., near Hollywood — was shuttled between on-air television interviews and meetings with conservative activists. Talk radio host Laura Ingraham praised him as an “Internet mogul,” and he was invited to speak at both the Heritage Foundation think tank and a black-tie conservative dinner, where he spoke only minutes before former vice president Richard B. Cheney.
“They’re able to frame the narrative and we’re always on defense,” Breitbart said to a group of conservative activists as he complained about what he called the “Democratic-media complex” — Democratic pols, Hollywood and traditional mainstream media. “The Republican Party has never had a long-term strategy on fighting the narrative. The narrative should be fought on college campuses, it should be fought through the media and it should be fought in Hollywood, and the conservative movement is AWOL on all three.”

What's fantastic about this article is that it highlights how influential Andrew has been in getting conservatives to understand how important it is to use media effectively. I wouldn't have thought that blogs like Big Government could be so influential. Thank goodness Andrew understood that. Between his sites and the effectiveness of Glenn Beck I have hope that the left won't be in charge of the message anymore.
Let's not eclipse the work by Hannah and James. If not for them, Andrew would have not gotten any shine.

The first quote might be changed to: that because of Andrew, we are now on the OFFENSE. They ( the liberals)are paying attention and like a bunch of squawking parrots attacking us from all sides without any literal substance.
The second quote as we all know is partly BS and for the most part the truth. Andrew has made them look like a bunch of fools. For Fox News to pick up the story and for Congress to act, the whole world has recognised the corruption and influence of Acorn within DC and yes, partisan media cannot be ignored anymore. Especially on the internet.

Andrew Breitbart is to be congratulated. His sites, biggovernment.com and bighollywood.com have done more to expose the Left in such a short period of time than perhaps all of the other Conservative sites combined have done in years.
The great contributors to both sites should also be congratulated. The combination of Andrew's sites and hard work coupled with all the contributors have created something to be proud of.
Thank you Andrew, for being the 'brave one'. Those two young people, who put everything on the line to disclose the corruption deserve to be allocated, along with Glenn Beck…Acorn would still be know for it's 'suspect' voter fraud and not this wide spread disease!!! So my laptop got a virus and I had to totally clean it out and delete everything. Once finished, I downloaded iTunes again and went to sync my iPhone but my songs did not show up in the music library. I listened to an almost hour long interview with Breitbart recently. There are a lot more websites to come – Big Tolerance, Big EU, etc. I may have those name wrong.
Anyway, Breitbart is a smart man who is able to see past the emotions clouding the issues to see the problems and strengths. I cannot listen to him enough. I feel the same way about Thomas Sowell.
Thank you Andrew, for giving the conservatives a place to voice ourselves. A place we can trust the truth will be told the truth and not have it hidden from us like the msm. I appreciate knowing everyday that I can check Drudge, Big Government, listen to Rush and Beck and know I am not going to miss many details in the news that day. It makes living through this unsettling time more bearable and gives me hope that we can break on through to the other side! I look forward to more Jame's and Hannah's showing up on your doorstep!

The leftist media and its well know ideological cohorts on the campuses and elsewhere can marginalize Breitbart (as in WH saying Fix is "opinion news") ad infinitum. The TRUTH of the matter is that he, Giles and O'Keefe tsunamied the statist media and opened a Pandora's box of visible corruption for all the world to see. It drove the MSM into a frenzy and they now fear this man for what….. TRUTH IN REPORTING !! It awakened even the most passive (centrist right) voter and impassioned the sleeping giant to respond in horror. He has changed the media landscape forever and he should be respected and revered for years to come.

best way is to stop funding these school with taxpayer dollars….
and tax their endowement funds like ordinary income…so to help fund all entitlements, they should be paying taxes like anyone else making over 250,000 per year….and cap all administrative… dean and department heads salaries… to no more than $100,000 per year. They should be held accountable for the productivity of the student/graduates output like Wall Street bankers are for their profitability….
if the students graduate with bankrupt degrees that have no market demand….then these students should get a refund. How about a 60 day gurantee after graduation like GM – Government Motors – now offers….if you do not get the job you want within 60 days after graduation, you can return your degree and get a full refund??? Why not, the degrees today are not worth the paper they're printed on……hmmm, hmmmm, hmmmm.

Dear Mr. Breitbart-Corruption stories-great work Hannah and James. I grew up in suburbs of Chicago. Where the true corruption lies is South Side of Chicago, Cook County a/k/a cesspool of corruption, Illinois and City Hall-Mayor Daley's office. There is enough there to keep 500 hundred Hannah and James' busy for years. Obama and Jarrett via ACORN-Grove Parc apts. etc. probably the biggest slum lords on the planet. Stolen federal, state and local taxes for the 20 years Obama was a community organizer. These "buildings" are not fit for human habitation, but "millions" went into them????

What is needed is simply a nice website that clearly lists for a given degree what your odds are of getting a job in that field, even getting a job related to the degree period, with aggregate numbers and broken down per school. A nice touch would be estimated cost of the degree versus expected starting salary. Then the wannabe college students can more easily make informed decisions as to how and where to spend what will likely involve their money as loans, as well as the parents for their contributions.
The site can be set up and run privately, then let the market forces take care of the rest. This should also lead to at least half of the "liberal arts" schools crashing and burning, with less production of indoctrinated whiners demanding government financial support of the "socially necessary arts," but oh well, sacrifices must be made.

I have always voted on the issue at hand. I don’t tolerate criminal behaviors and I am hoping that those found to have broken laws be charged accordingly. But, in speaking to complete strangers-none of them are aware of what’s been happening in our government. Which is a sad case of affairs for the people who have no idea. Some people cannot afford cable or internet, and therefore have no idea.
