Anything to get peoples attention off Obama's ineffectiveness. I work at a university, swine flu hit 100+ students, no one died, very manageable, hardly a pandemic. Ordinary flu complications kill people every year, it's just not sensationalized by politicians and the media.
This'emergency' is Obama's way to have control-if people get out of his control, he'll call out the troops—Pandemic my butt……………Ordinary flu/swine flu……………..Wash your hands for crying out loud-
Considering that if you go to your doctor with flu like symptoms, it shall be classified as H1N1, regardless if it is or not. This 'emergency' is a blatant misdirection of the true issues at hand right now. I'm thinking that this may be a test ballon to see if they can force the public option onto us because of this 'emergency'. Afterall, it's more than obvious that the legislation is never going to pass, an emergency situation may be the only way to steamroll this 'reform' into place…? Never forget that fear is more an ally to the democrats' than truth. And they will scare the hell out of us anyway they can. And that includes the help of the MSM bolstering their cause of the week, in order to instill those fears!

What to do, what to do?
While we wait for the government to inadequately handle this crisis, we can entertain ourselves with watching them pass the Health Care Con. If we were smart, we'd put our heads between oue legs, and kiss our arse's goodbye.
The government blew this one—not only do they not have the H1N1 on time for the epidemic, they created a shortage of seasonal flu shots. If the Asian Flu of 1957 is any indication of the course H1N1 will take, as some CDC people have speculated, the epidemic will have wound down before vaccinations for it are available.

I look forward to seeing how CDC, sitting on billions of dollars of unused vaccine, will change their health messages to persuade people to get the shot after the epidemic is over. If they're not confirming any cases as H1N1, CDC probably tell people that there's a good chance they never had swine flu in the first place.
We were in a Walmarts last week when they announced flu shots available at the front of the store. Nary a soul in showed up. I guess there isn't that much of a shortage or a demand.

Gee. Wonder who helped contribute to the shortage? Wouldn't have been government intervention into the business world driving manufacturers out of the US would it? Just like they had nothing to do with the mortgage industry crisis and the subsequent Wall Street failure??? But of course, gotta give the standard statist excuse, it was all Bush's fault.
Obama girls not getting the vaccine tells me everyhting I need to know. Michelle and Barack have taken advantage of every perk the Presidency has offered them. They are the type of people who constantly want to be moved to the front of the line.
I have been suspicious of the Swine Flu "pandemic" since its origins. I want to know how declaring the emergency benefits Obama because I don't buy the media line that he made a smart move by doing this. He made a calculated move with this and I would like to know what it is.
Cowboy… You know what really perplexes me is that the PUTZ – in CHIEF has TIME to play golf while our soldiers are dying in two wars. Every American should be aghast that he is not working purposefully and dilligently to resolve the wars and other matters of prime concern. Why is he NOT being held accountable by the soldiers families for this extreme derelection of duties as commander in chief of the Armed Services ?

Last week the various companies that manufactured the H1N1 vaccine stated that the vaccines were prepared and ready for shipment on time. It was obvious that the breakdown was on the government's end. The peak for the swine flu is around October 24 and then it's down hill from there. From what I've seen the flu lasts two days and then is over. Careful consideration indicates that the majority of deaths from H1N1 were individuals with underlying health conditions. And, getting vaccinated doesn't insure that you won't get the flu, so why compromise your health by having a shot for a flu that lasts two days. Research shows that folks die from bacterial punemonia, not the flu. Why not take Vitamin D, which is natural, instead? Research shows that Vitamin D prevents sickness and is used to treat the flu.
To me, this is just a diversionary tactic. We're to be fixated on the Govt-Run Health Care situation, right?
The Obama-Head & Friends are sick, therefore their Body is Sick.
If People are forced to take the vaccine, and want to remove it. Get a lemon very, very cold, but not frozen. Cut it in half, and tape it over the needle entry for about 3 hours. It seems that the H1N1 vaccine has mercury in it. I'm going to have to research this a lot more. You Do Not Want Any Heavy Metals in your Body. Period.
Didn't Obongo run on the campaign promise to end the war? I was under the impression that within six months after being coronated, the wars would be over, the troops would be home, Bin Ladin would be deep sixed and we would all be singing Kum-bay-a while standing in high cotton.

Ha! Upthread, I said that the CDC would try to unload the vaccine on people who already had swine flu. Today, on GMA, Sebelius said:
"I never like to see people inconvenienced. … If we had found the vaccine earlier, we could have started a little earlier," Sebelius said on "GMA." "I think that getting vaccinated, even if you've had the flu in the summer or early fall, our scientists tell us that's a good plan."

I find the most amazing articles on Canada Free Press. They are on point all the time.

They may "act" and "think" like they do – and a bunch of un-edjumacated sheeple across the country will follow, but they have NO idea the storm that would come about if they even tried. Every day, I know more "to the bone" Democrats being woken up and seeing what is really happening.
And the "well, we won so we can do what we want" crowd hates it when you bring up the FACT that just because you won, doesn't mean you can BREAK your oath of office and go against the Constitution.
It won't be classified as H1N1 without a positive verification. Influenza is hitting the public pretty good right now in our area. But, the H1N1 screenings keep piling up negative at our hospital.
The gist of your take might be true though. People in the public will see someone cough or sneeze and think "swine flu". The paranoia might distract the public. Watch the media to play along. However, with the recent Avian flu saga, that amounted to nothing, the public might tune this round of media sensationalism out.
Everything is the swine flu in our department. It's become a punchline.
Quite frankly, they have crossed the line. The line of sedition,and treason.

Okay, a bit of perspective needs to be put into the discussion here.
Der Schwarze Fuhrer has declared an "emergency" because 1,000 people have died from the H1N1 virus.
Annualy, the number of people in America who die from the REGULAR flu is around 36,000.
Smoking causes about 435,000 deaths (according to Wikipedia, so cum grano salis here…).
Alcohol causes around 85,000 deaths.
Auto accidents cause around 43,000 deaths.
So, as I said, some perspective needs to be put into play. Not for US, but for Obama's administration…
I would only change one sentence in this letter to:
"You are sanctimonious gas bag Obama and you lie every time you open that gigantic hole in your face"
No kidding — he doesn't seem to view Afghanistan as an emergency. But then again, he won't ever need to declare martial law there.

I was just in the emergeny room due to an accident wherein my foot needed stiches and I asked the Dr. if they were testing for H1N1. He said NO, they are treating a flu like the regular flu. This Is the big city of Sacramento….so how in the heck do they even know how many people have swine flu?????

I wouldn't doubt that the emergency room personnel have no idea what the Hospital Administration is reporting what to whom. Yes, I'm sure the Doc himself isn't reporting it, just marking up the medical forms. And this is about reporting it, not testing it.
I'm friends with a few doctors, and my wife is friends with many nurses/practitioners. They all have said that no matter what 'strain' of flu you may have, it will classified as H1N1. That's how it is in my neck of the woods anyhow. I'm not sure what the mandate is, but it's obviously to help bolster the imaginary data to justify the recent 'emergency' we have now!?
And yes, we have all been labeling anything close to a flu like symptom to the pig flu, as it too has become a punch line for us as well.
He did it so everybody will start hand wringing and worrying about when they are going to get it and die rather than the death of our troops and closing of our banks etc. etc.. In his mind (and those around him) we are far too stupid to think about too many issues at one time. Crisis should be exploited right?

We have to get like minded people to the polls. Hit them with facts not name calling hyperbole. The excuse of my vote doesn't matter can't be accepted any more. The turnout of American voters is always embarassing. There is no excuse for our voting percentages to be so low. It starts at the local level right on up to 2012 and beyond.
What would we all do if Obama gets swine flu? Without him to guide me and "help" I'd be lost.
The national emergency is that President pencil necked geek oredered a bunch of swine flu shots that we dont need, the emergency is he might look bad and people might say mean things about him.
I worked for the Department of Agriculture in DC for more than a decade and I am going to let you in on a little secret. H1N1 has existed in the United States since the Earth was a molten ball of lava. It exists in our bird population.
Today's scare all started about 10 years ago when the CDC was trying to increase funding. Suddenly, H1N1 which can move between birds and animals and humans, was the biggest threat to our nation's health since 1918. The CDC was pretty much ignored until just a few years ago when the media picked up on it.
I don't remember the date (it was after 9/11), but President Bush (the younger) was giving a speech to a National Guard unit. He was talking about threats to the USA and mentioned a little something called avian influenza. The calls started coming in that day from the press. From there, the story grew and grew and grew until we have today's hysteria.
Please keep in mind the government didn't start finding H1N1 in humans until it started looking. There is a new flu type for humans each year, thousands of people die from the flu each year, but this year is special? This is not a highly pathogenic form of the disease. If it was, there would be piles of bodies in the streets.
Be sure to watch next week as the dreaded Hog Fever comes to a town near you!
ObamaFever is already here in its most derelict strain. And there is NO flu shot to contain it. Except, of course, the voice of the REAL AMERICANS in 2012.

FYI-I am 52years old, and this H1N1/Swine Flu isn’t “new.” MSM hasn’t covered this issue well-if NOT at ALL! There were “mass vacinations” of thisflu shot in 1976. I was 17 years old and stood inline at the local area highschool. Gerald Ford was then president. MSM if they have reported Guilliane Barre Syndrome, they have stated it’s temporary(NOT IN ALL CASES). I had the honor, of taking care of a resident who was completely paralyzed from the very vaccine I had. Everybody has the right to their own opinion regarding this vaccine. What was the tested cohort population? How many and what types of "adverse events" were there? What complications were there? What was the antibody counts post immunization in the immunized population? What was the correlation of "adverse events" in the immunized vs. placebo populations?
Many questions, no answers…
