ACORN Scandal Immortalized on ‘South Park’
by Publius***VIDEO FIXED!!!***

The ACORN scandal was immortalized tonight on “South Park.” The plot of the season 13 episode “Butters’ Bottom Bitch” is that Butters, the adorably naïve fourth grader starts a “kissing company” that grows to the point where he is a pimping out 10+ prostitutes, many of whom are underage. Always the sharp social commentators, the “South Park” crew sent Butters and Co. to ACORN to try to get a housing grant for these prostitutes:
…Butters get TWO housing loans, and tax-exempt status.
This isn’t your typical ACORN office. The employees are sharply dressed and working off of widescreen computer monitors in a lavish building (actually, it looks like the woman is sitting in an Aeron chair… we’re not sure even ACORN gets enough government handouts for those). But that’s beside the point. The joy in this scene is that at long last, ACORN is officially a punch line. Anyone who has followed ACORN throughout the years knows this is long, long, long overdue, but today, ACORN’s calling card is that they are the company that, as Butters puts it, “helps pimps and their bitches.” Not sure it gets more damning than that.
As always, we want to hear your thoughts on the matter. Consider the thread open.

Southpark, boldly going where no late night comic has gone before.

Butters is so cute even when he's committing massive tax fraud. =3
South Park ROCKS!!!!
At some point they should bag hard on Cedars-Sinai. It might be hard to navigate the legal channels but they are there. You have the Quaid scandal which isn't very funny at all. Two pill bottles look the same. But Dennis milked that scandal at the expense of some very fine people that had NOTHING to do with the incompetency.
SO NOW WE HAVE THIS. Tom Priselac of Cedars-Sinai Health System is in bed with ObamaCare. Isn't he also President of the AMA which is seeing membership drop faster than Nancy Pelosi's approval rating? Well comets fall fast too.
Is Mr. Priselac the one behind the creepy 'volunteerism' and 'caring' internal programs at Cedars? From what the South Parks guys would deem as credible people who work there sounded off because…well it sounded pretty darn illegal. Violation of labor laws? Mr. Priselac? Is THAT TRUE!!? It had the creepy feel of "MMM MMM MMM….Barack Hussein Obama….MMM MMM MMM" – okay you get the drift.
Now Matt and Trey get to play with GE radiation. Allegedly the equipment that nuked over 200 people came from GE. Who is in bed with ObamaCare? Tom Priselac of Cedars-Sinai Health System is in bed with it. And Cedars has another PR nightmare. GE? I dunno….do your homework folks.
You would think Priselac would be a champion for his staff. Rather it seems he would like to corral them like sheep. Or call it volunteerism. Or ObamaCare. Either way the outcome seems nuclear to you and me.
ACORN “helps pimps and their bitches.” LMAO!
These guys have outdone themselves. I haven't seen a funnier episode since the "Passion of the Jew".
Nothing more effective than good comedy to spread the word and feed the story. Fantastical!

beutiful first jon stewart now south park maybe just maybe others are wakeing up
South Park has always gone where everyone else is afraid to go. What Matt and Trey really cannot stand are people who have inflated egos and think that everyone should listen to them because they are better than everyone else. They are equal opportunity insulters. South Park is really the only good social satire left on TV. Never politically correct, and never afraid. This is why they are still funny and still original after all these years. I can hardly wait to see these guys take on a National Call to Service.
John Stewart reports the news on ACORN before the MSM touches it. South Park has fun with it. Once something in our culture makes it to South Park, it is etched in reality, and the MSM better come to terms with it. It used to be that Saturday Night Live was cutting edge, now it is passe'. Loren Miachels is afraid to anger his base and continues to pander to it.
i just finished watching the episode… and its gotta be one of the best i've seen.
south park takes no prisoners and plays no favorites… thats why i love it.
Fun to watch someone make a s**t sandwich with toast

South Park is now the "paper" of record?
South Park is now the new "paper" of record!
GE e, I don't know either. One of the funniest shows I have seen is "Team America" World Police by the same people who bring us South Park. Going forward every time a lib throws the worn out HALIBURTON line we should simply respond "GE"
It was glorious! I've been watching it since the beginning, and Trey and Matt keep on delivering the goods.
South Park really is the model of how to produce content in a "strike while the iron is hot" world.
I used to think "South Park" was seriously juvenile and twisted…
Its also highly relevant, hard-hitting, and right up "in-your-face" powerful…
And they absolutely have no sacred cows…none…nada…nadie…
If you get onto "South Park", you are DEAD…
I hope they revisit Obama and the Administration real soon…
[...] Too funny. Share and Enjoy: [...]
I couldn't believe what I was seeing! Unbelievably funny and relevant. Last season was awful, but these guys are back in a big way.
I saw this last night and performed an herbal tea angry dragon because I was laughing so hard.
"You know what I'm sayin', bitch?"
I love the part where Butters is about to get his first kiss and he has his little striped tie on and his hair combed neatly – kinda looks like James, there!

That was a hilarious episode. " Do you what I am saying."
Way too many uses of the B word but hilarious.
I do love South Park and have the first 10 season on DVD, but this was not the best episode ever. Butters at Acorn and the Pimps Ball or just shooting straight in Mr. Garrison's classroom or with his ho's was very funny. The clueless delivery about where political figures like to be kissed, priceless.
The police chief finishing Johns over and over again before pulling his badge was like the puppet scene in TEAM America. Designed to offend but was much more fun with puppets becasue… they are puppets. The Police Cheifs antics were a distraction to what could have been genius, like the "Dog Whisperer" or the "Underpants Gnomes" episodes.
Don't forget the Saturday Night Live episode where Obama admits to accomplishing NOTHING!
[...] the animated TV series “South Park” took on the embattled radical group ACORN, BigGovernment.com [...]
There was a time when south park wasn't afraid to show things for what they really were. The pre-obama south park would probably have presented the acorn staff exactly as we saw them, but I guess they wimped out or thought it would be funnier to make their acorn rep look like an upstanding citizen.
The South Park people weren’t making fun of ACORN in last night’s episode. They were laughing at how the right has tried to turn ACORN some sort scandal to smear POTUS Obama with.
SP has always been willing to tell it like it is; equal opportunity offender. Can't wait for them to take on the Nobel Prize.
How long will it be before CNN has to do a fact check on South Park?
Butters Scotch. By far the best back-up character on the show. Way better than tweak or even good-ol' Pip. Towlie is better, but is very rare.
Once CNN starts fact checking SP, there'll be heck to pay. Heck I tell ya!
Matt DA-mon!
I wish they would have a Skit about David Letterman sex scandal and where Sarah Palin would ream him a good one
Butters is saying it literally where most people say it rhetorically, do you know what I am saying?
Can't wait for the Polanski episode!!
Yes, I know what you are saying!
SouthPark has been the best thing on television for years.
It is satire on several levels for everyone who grew up in the politically correct public school system and has watched what has happened to the lack of sense of humor on the part of the left and it's institutionalized madness in enforcing this homogenous view.
I would trade Canada for Trey Parker & Matt Stone for 100 Al Frankens & 10,000 Whoopie "it wasn't rape rape" Goldturd anyday of the week.
ummm… Butters Leopold Scotch… my bad.

Haven't seen this one yet, but it's got a lot of tough competition, particularly the Cartman vs. hippies episode – gotta be one of my favorites!
Acorns, will be back the Demo.have to have them to win.
you forgot a "know"……………………………………….but I know what you are saying.
When butters says it, it sounds like he's in a trance or maybe a "bad-actor".
That episode was spot-on. I like how they keep the show relevant and up to date, as far as current events.
I don't watch much on Comedy Central, but I tivo "Southpark", and tonight I'll record "tosh.O" , (tosh point oh)…………that's hilarious as well.
I thought they were ripping on both sides of the issue not just ACORN. The boys of South Park have always been equal opportunity offenders which is what I love about them.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE South Park. I nearly choked from laughing so hard when they showed sweet little Butters and his "bitches" in the ACORN office. This is another in a great number of funny episodes.
"Casa de Bonita" is still my favorite episode.
That episode was spot-on. I like when they keep the show relevant and up to date, as far as current events.
This present administration is over-flowing with all kinds of good material for scatheing episodes, but alas, I think the "southpark" crew is on the phone with Buffy "The Walmart Slayer" Wickes, getting their indoctrination from the czarina of the Department of Propaganda. I'm sorry, I meant "the United We Serve team, in collaboration with the White House Office of Public Engagement
You know, "It's the world we live in now. We're actually running the government" crew……………….ya, 'THOSE' ones.

Yes, I know what you are saying.
I, too, love South Park. It is strange, however, the way they depicted ACORN as so clean-cut, and that Butters was about to be thrown out until he revealed that the supervisor was getting kisses from one of his hoes. Not exactly how it went down in any of the five O'Keefe/Giles videos.
I'm not sure that Matt and Trey are totally "with us" on this one. That said, I still love South Park and welcome the official "punchlining" of ACORN.
Note: She said "I am not falling for this!"
She thought Butters was another O'Keefe or Giles. That is my theory.

Yes, I think you're right, Kit. I just don't see the humor there. Is this the "new and improved" ACORN, where they don't fall for these kinds of things anymore? What's funny about that? In my opinion, there was enormous potential for humor here, but it wasn't realized and I'm not quite sure why.
Preach on Rev. Pimp Daddy Butters ….HA!
Priceless!
I haven't watched much in recent years. They're not equal opportunity offenders. I remember when they hyped an episode but backed down from showing an image of Muhammad back when the cartoon jihad was going on. They must be afraid of Muslims because the same episode had Jesus in a crowd of people defecating on each other.
Oh well, if I don't like an episode I just switch the channel.
"Don't forget to bring a towel"
I see dead celebrities.
The ACORN woman throwing Butters out said "I'm not falling for that (again)" or something to that effect. It was a clear allusion to the character's awareness of a previous "sting" — she was throwing Butters out because she thought he was "pulling an O'Keefe." I think Matt and Trey were "totally with it."
Yes, I noticed that, but somehow this particular scene didn't seem as funny as it should have been. I mean, when they first cut to the exterior of the ACORN building, I was expecting to see the whole waiting room absolutely bursting with pimps and hoes waiting to get their home loans and "legal advice" and so on. Yes, obviously Matt and Trey were aware of the ACORN scandal, but I felt they should have been able to milk it for more comedy. But this is a minor quibble and I still love SP.
<DIV>Hi, Sharpshiny,</DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>You have a good point, but truthfully, I was flabbergasted that South Park ran it — I'm not a regular S.P. fan, but my son had called me with a \”heads up\” when he saw the ACORN bit (my political-junkiness is a family joke), soI caught the 2nd showing at 11 (Central Time). Actually, it's probably better that S.P. didn't play it up more flagrantly — that show, I think, appeals to a lot of libs who would likely \”tune out\” to an overtly anti-ACORN message but might subliminally absorb a bit of sense if they don't perceive it that way. In any event, I thought the idea was hysterical.</DIV> <DIV></DIV> <DIV>MerryJ1

Southpark is not something I normally watch, not really into it but this is good stuff. Having said that I’m having a hard time giving thumbs-up to any Southpark episodes because of one in particular. Southpark had an episode about “gingers” calling those of us with red hair “soulless”. It featured “Kick a Ginger Day” and some morons in the UK actually went out and on a designated day last year kicked gingers (mostly kids involved). I don’t appreciate that and let me just say if you kick this ginger she’ll kick you back in a place you might find painful!
Sorry for going OT but Southpark is a bit of a sore spot for this redhead.
Butters Is da basazz pimp!
