Here’s one example of how state law enforcement officials have leveraged and possibly violated the law to help ACORN in return for ACORN’s political help.In December 2004, Minnesota Attorney General Mike Hatch sued Capital One for failing to state in its advertisements that it could increase interest rates on credit cards. As part of a 2006 settlement, Capital One paid $749,999, of which $249,999 went to ACORN, $250,000 went to the nonprofit Legal Aid, and $250,000 to the State of Minnesota.ACORN’s political action committee had endorsed Mike Hatch for attorney general in 1998 and 2002, and in 2006 for governor.

ACORN's core revenue stream is from shakedowns. Paying them a lot of money to stop squaking.
The short laymans version is, Attorney general Mike Hatch cut up the money in thirds. Spread it around. Those type cases are no more than corporate extortion; the only difference between a shakedown artist like Attorney general Hatch, and thugs like Al Sharpton and Jessee Jackson, the Attorney General has the "legitimacy" of his State Office to cloak himself in, and in so doing shroud the true intentions surrounding his actions…….

This is exactly what Obama with Rahm Emanuel are doing in the White House now…it's how they re-distribute the wealth. It's all payola! It's what they do!! This is really a good bust, gotcha moment. Their lies were in series, and maintained with the usual methods..

So how does Al Sharpton fit in? Is he competition or partner? Do they hold regular meetings and divide up the opportunities, is it first-come first-extorts, or do they have their "territories" divided up?

My blood boils at the uselessness of the MSM who have deliberately refused to protect the public's interests. Just shutting down ACORN and the now state sponsored media outlets would change the trajectory of this once great country's slide into a Third World culture of corruption.

ACORN will be the Obama Administrations Seminal Moment, where they will quickly do an about face and advance to the rear with Barney Frank leading the parade. Pardon the pun.
I thought it was agreed that liberals don't have brains. And even the boldest liberal politicians do not have the equipment to say right up front and direct to our faces what they are doing. That leaves conservatives with trying to grab liberal hearts, and our best shot there is resurrecting ancient Aztec rituals.
I do expect though there will soon be appeals to the stomach. Winter is coming, and despite that it will inevitably be ruled the warmest ever by Al Gore, and with the glowing success of the stimulus bill, there will be more and hungrier people. Plus the holidays are coming, including the completely secular Kwanzaa/Christmas event. Expect increasing control by the FDA to ensure an even safer food supply, government monitoring (by a new agency) to insure it is equitably distributed, and "emergency spending" rushed through Congress for increased food stamps, unemployment benefits, and additional "one time" payments to seniors.
Ignore however the coming price increases due to the expected inflation from printing so much new money and the rising costs for everything after Cap and Trade. Unless you accept they were inherited from the previous administration and want to blame Bush.
I had heard on one of the conservative talk radio shows, from a congressman being interviewed, that the cut off of funding to ACORN by congress will only be in effect until the 31st of October, 2009 and then they will be able to belly up to the public trough again for the millions in stimulus money. If it's true, is anyone surprised.
I'm telling everyone Monday through Friday from now until December 31st, call your member of congress. Call your senator and tell them, don't have the government take over healthcare, and would you please defund ACORN? Because this is another lie. ACORN has only been defunded until October 31st. The biggest trick is going to be played on the American people. When the clock strikes midnight, on October 31st, the spigot turns back on for federal money flowing to ACORN. They were only defunded to this month. It's a huge CYA move on the part of congress.
