Well, the fact that Obama as well as other America haters, some of whom were dictators supporting violence or terrorism, who havereceived this award makes the Nobel Peace Prize pretty much meaningless.

I'm kind of glad this Nobel Peace Prize went down this way to tell you the truth. For one thing it has caused the American people as well as the World to be reminded that now as before, even almost a year into his presidency, Obama has no notable achievments. His is still promising, still talking and yet, not producing. Also, it de-values the prize and I'm the happier for it. Who decided that this group in Norway would be the all deciding factor on who is the epitomy of peace in the world? For one thing, as this has shown again, we in America have different views in how we function from day to day. We are not European in our values and democracy. Also, I think in the end this will help show that Obama is all about the praise and not the purpose of his position. How on earth will he honor our troups efforts these many years in Afgh. by sending in more troops after getting this prize? He can't and still seem to deserve it. The adult in me is afraid to turn on the TV or the radio, or look at any online news in the mornings for fear of what new Government program or Socialist Agenda has been advanced upon US throughout the night. My husband is from Germany, immigrated with his parents as a young boy. Every time I see this video my eyes fill with tears of pride and joy. This is what being a great American President is all about. I wish Obama would channel some of those ideals. Instead we get the "America is hopeless and wrong" rhetoric. It is no wonder to me that the sitting POTUS is viewed with such disdain . We are just sick and tired of his apologetics and non-achievments.
Global politics is just a larger version of politics we see here in the US. Liberals (and RHINOs) undermine the free market system , insert regulations to payoff groups and push their own warped agendas and then when their interference causes massive displacement in the free market scream from the rooftops about how free markets are the problem.
In the same way global liberal elites sit back and allow great commanders-in-chief like Reagan and George W protect their asses from evil dictators and then scream from the roof tops (or with handing over the Nobel Peace Prize to a weak commander in chief) about how the ones who keep them free are ones that are the cause of all the problems in the world.
While the US soldier fights real evil in the world–they are secretly wetting their pants while denouncing strength–they just wish they had one ounce of the greatness of a man like Reagan. They are really nothing but cowards.
Although we get the "America is hopeless and wrong" rhetoric, fundamentally we all know that is not so. Fundamentally America is still a wonderful country, and her people are essentially good and decent. What is hopeless and wrong, is Barack Obama.
THEY are considering a 2nd "stimulus". Here's an idea or two….how about repeal the 1st "stimulus" and revamp it to include tax cuts and loans to small businesses OR use the remainder of the 1st "stimulus" to affect job creation. Are the IDIOTS in congress claiming the 1st "stimulus" did not work and they need a 2nd? If so, why would they think a 2nd "stimulus" would work? There will be considerably more resistance to the 2nd "stimulus" than the 1st.
Having this guy as president just makes me sad. He hates the country I have lived in my entire life. He hates people who call themselves conservatives. I have a feeling this guy would rater me and people like me just die off.

When I was a Cubmaster, we used to make sure that every boy who brought a race car to the Pinewood Derby Races got some kind of award.
As I read all the BS about why Dear Leader deserves his, I experience deja vu about what I said about each boy as we presented his individual award.
There is a big difference, however. Each boy actually did something to merit getting his award. He (almost always with Dad's help) carved a race car out of a block of pine wood, which is far more than His Most Excellent Personage has done for his alleged country.

Take an HONEST oath to reject all forms of corruption and expose those politicians who are involved in corruption. (Because this person is human…they will have violated the rules already) We will never find a perfect person but there must be one who is sick and tired of the corruption within their own political party and within their own organization and determine to stop it.
Take an HONEST oath to uphold the Constitution of the United States of America. I stress “HONEST” because they have already taken that oath, but have not upheld it HONESTLY.
This person will probably have to already be a leader within their party in order to get attention and support to get this started. Maybe Sarah Palin could be the one. Maybe Devin Nunes, Representative from California could be the one. Maybe Mitt Romney could be the one. Somebody can do it…we just have to find them and support them.
This person should have Judeo/Christian values, but they do not have to be a blazing born-again Bible thumper…in fact probably should not be such. We are a Christian nation but each individual’s relationship with God is private and is their relationship based on their experiences and choices. We are tired of the public outcry about where the Ten Commandments are posted or where prayers are said. Let each individual worship as they understand. No restrictions…no requirements.
Maybe we need a “grace period” during which the “confessions” will not be prosecuted. After a certain date the exposure will become public and all of America will become aware of who they are and what corruption they have done. I believe the American people are forgiving, but we are fed up with these corrupt politicians and their devious ways going on day after day.
Now, let’s go find one person to lead in this reformation!

I agree about Huckabee and his coom-ba-ya attitude. My point was that all these things like the "prize" is a dstraction from what really happening behind the scenes. Like obama stoppping drilling in Utah on 60 sites because he doesn't want this country energy independent. THIS to me is more important to our country's future.
I lived in Berlin in the 1970's (my father was in the Army) and he took me to the wall (I was 10 years old) and tried to use the presence of that monstrosity to teach me about Freedom. I understood, on a basic educational level, but it wasn't until much later that I got the full measure of what my father was trying to teach me. I watched Mr. Reagan give that speech, and then I watched the wall come down. That was the first time I truly understood what "Proud to be an American" means, and how it important it was that we stand up for Freedom, not just for ourselves but for the whole world.
I have always been in awe of Mr. Reagan, and the men and women of our military. Freedom isn't free and cannot be purchased with empty rhetoric and a snazzy suit.
That said, think about the fabulous Halloween costume idea those Nobel guys have given us here! Imagine Barack Obama, dressed up as the Joker with a Nobel Prize hanging around his neck. Priceless! I'm pulling it together now for a party next weekend:

I've contacted my parish priest and have inquired about the process for beatification and subsequent canonization so we can follow up on the Nobel with the next major award: Sainthood. After all, it's only right that we recognize his massive resume of good works. One of the prerequisites for sainthood is verification of at least three miracles in his name. He has, in fact, performed something that could be described as a miracle by getting elected on a platform and a background that went totally unexamined by a normally almost criminally-intrusive MSM.

I was a Docent at the RRPL/M in Simi Valley, CA when President Reagan passed away. Even my liberal neighbors were lined up (some all night long) to pay their respects to him. A GREAT man.

He got to be president of the Harvard Law Review through AA, got a summer internship at a white shoe law firm the same way, elected to ALL of his political positions through FRAUD and AA, and now, got the NPP for the reason! This empty suit has NEVER done even one thing, all by himself/worked hard through the vicissitudes of life to gain him what he got through others and the color of his skin.
Heck, even his wife was picked out and thrust upon him !
Fast forward to today where we have a President apologizing for this past and I have a Congresswoman like Rep. McCollum and two Senators like Klobuchar and Stuart Smalley. What happened???
Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn't pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children's children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

I'm sure President Reagan is rolling over in his grave with the state of affairs in our country right now.
I wouldn't go so far as to say he's done nothing. He's doing a good job of carving the heart of the country away 'till eventually we'll end up with a broken pinewood derby car. Then "Dad" will have to come in and clean up the mess left. Not sure if the car will be salvageable
Here is a true peacemaker. He ended the Cold War – a war between the two world super-powers, a war between two wealthy nations with nuclear weapons. And he did this without one bullet being fired or one casualty.
Many of his decisions were passionately criticized and seen as irrational, but he made them from his conscience. He made decisions based his personal understanding of right and wrong, not by being a moral relativist or a pacifist. They were not based on what the public or the world thought of him.
I grew up during his presidency and I never learned even one song about the President Ronald Reagan, mmm, mmm, mmm.
