Although it wasn't really "news" in the sense that Chicago has had a high murder rate for years. But it was caught on tape and that sensationalized it. That, coupled with the fact that since S. America was due an Olympics hosting, made Rio an obvious choice. No doubt, Rio is no pacifistic-paradise but dont confuse yourself with facts, Chicago has been the center of media criticism lately and thats what really counts on the world stage. Team Oprahma should have flown to Chicago and "tooken no prisoners" there instead of making us look like arrogant fools in front of the IOC.
