Why don't those on the right join ACORN, then? ACORN seems to want to change how your average, everyday American gets involved in politics. Sounds good to me! Whichever way you lean, isn't it a great idea to get more everyday Americans involved in political issues so that we can preserve our democracy instead of letting it be controlled by lobbyists with deep pockets? So, if you don't like the way this federally funded organization is heading - join them! You have a right to join and balance this group out. Or, would you rather sit back, point fingers, get more paranoid, and not do anything of substance? Join ACORN and help this unbalanced political organization get more balanced. By the way, I DO NOT work for ACORN. I teach music (secondary kids and band) at an international school in Laos and vote from Duncanville, TX. No lack of opportunity to exercise your right to vote, so we certainly don't need the ACORN nuts to help us. And I agree with an earlier commenter, most of Oklahoma is conservative, even the Dems, and don't take kindly to outside interests telling us what we should and should not be doing.
