Outfoxing New York Times

That’s why the Times got scooped by outlets such as Fox News, for which it has nothing but contempt, on revelations that led to the fall of community organizing behemoth Acorn.
The wound was self-inflicted, rooted in little more than the partisanship of protecting a favored president. It left the field clear for a couple of journalism students to show that Acorn staffers openly encouraged pimping, child prostitution, human trafficking, mortgage fraud and tax evasion.
It’s right there on tapes posted to Andrew Breitbart’s BigGovernment.com. Unlike the disdainful Times, Fox ran with it, toppling a behemoth of political power.

We often discuss how these two young journalism students have kicked the chair out from under ACORN, but we often forget that they did the same to NYT and other media sources that promote Progressive Liberalism.
I love that this article details the many stories the times as missed (Edward's baby, Van Jones, ACORN, NEA, etc.) and does not let them off the hook for the laughable excuse that they were not "paying attention to the opinion media"–THE ARE OPINION MEDIA!
Collectively they've got the biased views of a cranky snobbish old lady. The Gray "Liberal" Lady. And it's obvious in to their readers in with every word they condescendingly judge to be "fit to print"

They have nothing to do with News.
They have everything to do with "Transmission". Transmission of a Liberal Fascist Militant Agenda.
They have everything to do with "Supression." Supression of any and all relevant newsworthy ideas.
The Fourth Estate has ceased to exist; they have abdicated their collective responsibility.
The times neglects to mention that they HAD THE SCOOP before the election the ACORN whistleblower had given them the story backed up with paperwork at GREAT PERSONAL RISK TO HERSELF, and it was written and then the reporter called her and told her that her higher ups had KILLED THE STORY!
This all could have come out, before the election, but the times killed the story. Michelle Malkin covered the whole thing on her site. If the Times had been doing their jobs, we probably would not have this fraud as president. So it is a little more than just needing to watch FOX!

And did you see the pitiful Washington Post. They now are going to have a contest so YOU TOO can be one of them and actually be a newspaper writter.

There is a direct correlation between the attitude of so many on the left and the drug counter culture of the 60’s. Those former hippies and druggies are now staffing the news departments of most of the old Irrelevant Media outlets. I don’t know if it’s their refusal to grow up and realize that what was being taught in the 60’s is crap or just some type of collective mental illness. I was a child in the 60’s and at the time I thought the whole hippie thing was kind of interesting and cool….then I grew up without looking at life through the prism of drugs and the counter culture. I have found that my son’s generation (he’s 20) is much more conservative and right leaning than the previous generations I have seen come up since the 60’s. I think the country is turning around and my son and his friends couldn’t believe how the NYT was ignoring this story. My son is liberal on some social issues but has a far better grasp on reality than the entire staff of the NYT combined. They need to realize that the 60’s utopian dream was never real and stop trying to villanize “the man”. Whether they like it or not they are the establishment. Time to grow up NYT and report on all the news or you will be in the breadlines.

For most of the left, politics come first, THEN they select what action they will take, what facts they will seek, and at what judgment they will arrive. While sane people choose their conclusions based on facts, the NYT et al choose their facts based on their conclusions.
The Polanski and ACORN cases have something in common; both have made leftists decide that sex with 13-yr-old children isn't a big deal, even when drugged, drunk, or enslaved. Don't worry, they'll be on the side of children again the next time a Republican is implicated.

the new media is right here…in the blogosphere. since BG's explosive series on ACORN, they have taken the lead in reporting true facts from both sides of the aisle and are setting the standard for other big blogs. HuffPo and DK will be gone sooner rather than later. Their revenue has got to be way down since BG came on the scene. One can hope.
Now that we know the grey lady has suffered severe dementia, I wonder when Strom or Strum, the reporter that wanted to break the ACORN story before election day but was told no b/c it would be a game changer, will finally leave that rag and join forces w/BG. She deserves better as do all inspiring journalists.

Hey _ I live in SE Ct and used to subscribe to the "times". i have not done so ever since their bias coverage of the George Bush/Al Gore election. Is anyone really surprised that this newspaper has missed every news story that is anti Obama-Thank god that they have a couple of subcribers left-but they are just doin the crossword puzzle.Perhaps we should demand where this newspaper gets its revenue-it sure is not from the readership.

Hey, add "scooped" by just about any common nobody vetting a story. The NYT's has been made the fool by pajamas wearing bloggers, the National Inquirer, and just about any 7th grader using Google.
It's become a cottage industry vetting NYT's stories. They've got some rough years ahead of them as the self-designated Dem's state sponsored Pravda. By the end of the Obama era I'm guessing that the NYC latte liberals will be a lot poorer and their local groupthink upscale rag, the NYT's, won't be looking so good.

During WW II, the N.Y. Times had something like only 2 or 3 stories about concentration camps and yes, they knew all about them.
So whilst most people believe that the Times was once less biased/didn't hide news/didn't miss out on news, that is wrong……as far as the 20th and 21rst centuries are concerned.
Hopefully, the New York Times will be out of business in the next few years. They had to borrow millions of dollars from Carlos Slim last year and the interest on the loan was 14%. Not a bad deal for Carlos. Little Pinch is offering buyouts and cutting salaries to keep his head above water. If you want to read the truth . . read the Wall Street Journal.

Hey NYTimes – Like Beck says – Check on this Valerie Jarrett thing with the 2016 Olympics. I think she owns a lot or slums (rentals) that now the city will HAVE TO BUY from her if they get the Olympics.. Weird isn't it..

It might be true that Breitbart has scooped The New York Times, but sometimes it takes the wheel of karma a long time to make a revolution. The New York Times has been schtooping US for years; paybacks are rough….

New York Times Almost a year ago I sent this message to CNN and FOX news channel because, as I saw it, none of them were covering what was really going on with the Government. I felt that all of the mainstream media were owned and controlled by big money or by Political agenda’s. This prediction I sent them back then and now I find it is becoming truer daily.
There is the battle in the world information decimation about to become evident in America where all Americas will know that there is two so called truths to choose from. The choice is between Builderburger propaganda, the true world-governing group and world event controllers including what and how news is reported; versus the newer Internet/ radio uncontrolled outlet truth. It is not an illogical conclusion to believe truth through unfiltered world informational sources will win over mainstream media lies that currently have the people in their stupor.
At least this is the hope of those that already get it …… and the numbers are growing so fast you cannot imagine the rate of enlightenment. I, we, us will not be sorry when the current messengers of the lies we hear now will be left with egg on their faces. They will have no place in the information business. The world will be the better off as this day has truly arrived. Humanity will be freed in very real sense. Current mainstream media outlets will become like voices in the wind that NOBODY will find relevant. That will be the just and right ending and penalty for the forwarding of the lies and deceit to the masse populations of the world. Is this now where you are finding your paper? In the group of out of step Media propaganda promoters?
I hope the NYT doesn't get a government bailout. I'm planning a party when they go out of business.

This is a very dangerous period because Nationalization will still occur even without an overt government run insurance plan like this "public option" provision everyone keeps fixating on – Wyden/Bennett and the Bacus bill are prime examples of this.
Individual Mandates to buy private insurance sound like a “free market” solution and “individual responsibility” but in this context they are not – they are simply a front for a government run system. Many conservatives can be easily fooled by this faux “private” front (Mitt Romney was) .
Here are the core elements what will be contained in the “health care reform compromise” after the so-called “public option” is in all likelihood dropped:
(a) Federal Regulation aka HEALTH CZAR/DEATH PANELS
(b) Employer/Individual Mandates aka NATIONAL HEALTH INSURANCE
(c) Government Subsidies aka MIDDLE CLASS MEDICAL WELFARE
With the Federal Government setting the rules, forcing everyone to participate, and is paying the bills for most of the middle class through subsidies how is this anything other than Nationalization?

As with many traditional mega-stars in industries accross the board, The Old Grey Lady has seen her day. She was a grand dame for decades prior to the 60's….. Offering hope, opportunity, wartime reporting, sadness with the loss of soldiers and so much more. As with many aged "things" she has succumbed to the cancers associated with the leftist influence in terms of state, economy, academics and politics.
She is on life support as is Pinch and Abramson. She has lost the will to live and thrive and chosen the elitist comfort of presumed influence she once controlled yet has now been lost forever.
Fox and others are full of vitality, youth, aggression, brilliance, originality and timing. And now THEY have the influence and support of the politic.

Isn't it coincidental that all of the stories that the NY Times "missed" were scandals involving the left? They should be ashamed of themselves. As an aspiring journalist, it is sickening to see how politicized the print media has become. Opinions are for the editorial pages. Whatever happened to, "The facts, Ma'am, just the facts."? Whether the story is good or bad for a certain ideology, shouldn't determine its prominence in the news. At some point, one would think, that economic fact would dictate a change in policy. With the Times' readership plunging, one would expect someone with a vested financial interest in the company would be infuriated. However, when financial bailouts from the protected party are probable, I suppose they can afford not to worry about it. Disgusting.

This is all just a smoke screen to hide the fact that the Mouthpiece Media now just waits for the White House to tell them what to say. They knew about these stories, they just hoped that the White House and the Mouthpiece Media could just ignore them. And when the White House realizes they must address it, THEN the mouthpiece media gets the official story and reports that. They do not realize that they are doing themselves out of a job. Pretty soon the White House Press Corps will only need 3 people. Major Garrett from Fox, Helen Thomas because she is a fixture, and the Mouthpiece Media representative whose job it will be to distribute the official White House story to all the media wihout question or analysis.
