Bank of America Cuts Off Funds to ACORN
by PubliusWall Street Journal is reporting that Bank of America will cut off funding to ACORN:
In response to questions from The Wall Street Journal, a spokesman for the banking company said it has “suspended current commitments” to Acorn Housing, an affiliated group, and “will not enter into any further agreements with Acorn or any of its affiliates,” pending assessments by the bank of the organization’s operations.
Last year, whistleblower documents revealed that in just 2005-2006, Bank of America had given over $1.3 million to ACORN. An internal ACORN memo even crowed:

It seems that the banks are beginning to believe they have some cover now to cease the extortion payments demanded by ACORN. I hope this trend continues and they do in fact have cover.

Finally B of A does something respectable for this country… Since they have eliminated the need for social security numbers (thus allowing illegal immigrants to obtain any type of account through them) I have not liked them… Not only that but they screw the men and women of the Armed Forces that have to have an account with them for their temporary duty assignments… :/
So B of A, and others, are providing loans and/or monies to ACON knowing that they would never be paid back! Interesting!!!!!!!!! B of A and the countless others must be receiving something in return. Perhaps a seat at the lobbyist circle toss off or other political favors. I believe political benefits but not thuggery on this one.
It's looking more like BUSH did not act irresposibly to the financial mess we are in. ACON and SEIU acted irresponsibly and the reason why things are not coming around as they should have b/c it's Husseins mess!
After the elections a bail out of 5 billion was given to bank of america. They soon gave 25 million to Acorn. At that time I closed my accounts at B of A in anger saying they were supporting Acorn. I had no idea they were still giving to Acorn. Call it what it is….a payoff.
Acorn has grand plan. Get Obama elected and the flood of taxpayers money comes their way except that pesky BigGovernment came along. LOL
BofA got off the hook from Acorn extortion. But boy, BofA got our money. Who is smarter Acorn or BofA?

Guess you really ought to be careful who you dis, especially in tracable correspondence. Still there are some questions here about BOA "giving" money to ACORN. Follow the money, and try not to get too dizzy while you do, and all will be revealed!
The way that the millions just flowed into this "wretched hive of scum and villainy" is astounding.
Bank of America and Chase making contributions to the cause of voter-fraud and child prostitution sounds like more than a little PR problem to me, but what do I know? Actually, it's not that they are getting something in return. It's because ACORN worked with Barney Frank and Chris Dodd to fix the Community Reinvestment Act to REQUIRE banks to give those loans or lose their licenses. And, the banks were obligated (not in writing, but inferred) to pay homage to ACORN in the form of old fashioned 'protection', to use old fashioned gangster terms.
Wasn't BOA the first bank to also give credit cards to illegal aliens and when they defaulted on the payment, the rest of the BOA cardholders picked up the loss in charges of the interest rate?
Also, Bush pushed for a reversal of those changes to the CRA, but was blocked by the Dem. majority, Franks, and Dodd.
Why are they even giving money to Acorn anyhow. The CEO could be getting a bigger "Bonus" than he usually gets.

I've done some research since I wrote this comment above and I can't believe what I found out about the pushy mob rule ACORN has had with banks in order to force their hand in their lending practices. You are quite right in saying it's like mob thugs. More so than I would have ever thought.
Since BofA received how much in TARP(?), they better cut ties. Waiting for the press release from Chase……
