Obama Backs Acorn Probe

WASHINGTON (AP) – President Barack Obama says there should be an investigation into the hidden-camera video involving employees at the activist group ACORN and a couple posing as a prostitute and her pimp. The two ACORN workers are seen apparently advising the couple to lie about her profession and launder her earnings to get housing aid.
The video is only the latest problem for the group, which had nearly $1 million embezzled by its founder’s brother and has been accused of voter registration fraud. The House and Senate voted last week to deny federal funds to ACORN.
Obama told ABC’s “This Week” in an interview broadcast Sunday that what he saw on the video “was certainly inappropriate and deserves to be investigated.” But the president did not say who should investigate. And he said it is not a major national issue he pays much attention to.
“Frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely,” Obama said. “I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money.”

Why am I not surprised that he hasn't "been paying a lot of attention" to this?
Let me get this straight….he is not paying attention to this because it is not the biggest issue facing the country? Really?
Could he possibly be for the probe of ACORN because the unwashed masses are angry, but against it because it could open up Pandora's box for him?
Mr. President, do you feel complicit, having worked for and actively advocated for ACORN in the past?

I do not need Barry to tell me that he's not paying alot of attention to it.It is quite obvious and I think why is obvious to most thinking Americans as well.I mean it's been …..what 9 days or so and he is JUST NOW addressing the issue.His response to Cambridge police and Cocky West was within 24 hours,yet a matter as serious as this takes him 220 hours to make a peep.I guess he had to do his homework and get his story straight.Acorn is just mob activity and obama's roots run very deep with them.
His statement is kinda like voting "present". It's not really a "yes" and not really a "no". He thinks it should be investigated and it's a problem but, it's not the biggest issue facing the country.

If that corrupt organization, engaged in voter fraud, helped get Obama elected and was promised to be part of setting his agenda, it is a big deal. And Obam should be reminded about it. Constantly.

We, the citizens of the United States of America, aware of our civil rights and in an effort to stop funding to corrupt organizations, hereby express our disapproval of the US Governments lack of attention to the corruption within.
We are aware of the corruption within Acorn, who has received more then 25 million of our tax dollars. We feel corruption exist in many offices and branches of the US Government. We have made repeated attempts to express our concerns, these attempts have been well documented. We feel our immediate and long term future is in jeopardy if this issue is not addressed immediately.
On the basis of the above, we respectfully call on Congress to pass legislation that mandates the immediate investigation of all offices and branches of the US Government. "Corruption Elimination Act" We also request that any party suspected of corrupt activities be immediately suspended of their duties until a thorough investigation is done.
If immediate action is not taken, we will be forced to pursue our legal rights and potentially take part in a Class Action lawsuit against the US Government. We hope our Voices will be heard, and this matter can be resolved in a timely manner.

Interesting…. that the President is not paying much attention to it but is aware of the tapes and the voter registration fraud. How can the Congress vote so much in one direction and he say it is not something I'm paying much attention to. I am not sure why anyone would be surprised by the President's response. True to form he has something to say about a breaking story some 7-10 days after the actual story breaks. This allows time for polling and to see which way the wind is blowing in DC. Of course he doesn't know how much money ACORN is recieving–to knoww ould imply that he is watching out for the organization and that would initiate questions about how closely he is tied to the organization now that he is in the White House.
This is the same MO he has had for every single issue that comes up. It's as if he doesn't understand that NOT KNOWING makes him appear to be out of the loop, something no American wants to hear about their President. Of course he has been awfully busy of late selling out Poland, revoking the visa of a legitimate leader of Honduras, and continuing to hawk a dead health care bill. Well it starts out with a website that fails to verify citizenship when it accepts campaign donations. That got him a LOT of illegal money (the amounts were indicative of exchange rates–when you donate to a campaign it is usually in round dollars but most of his were strange amounts like 352.48. And though that could have been an oversite, even when it was pointed out to his campaign it was NOT corrected.). Then once you have amassed a significant war chest to use for campaigning, you get shady organizations to go out and get voters signed up. You only work with groups that will sign up people of your own party. That increased the chance that you will get elected. Then you go out and make vague promises, create ads with subtle or overt messages that you are the second coming of Christ and can heal all wounds, fix all problems, and save the freaking image of the US. And of course you put a lot of stock in your fellow countrymen only getting their news from the FM, who are fawning all over you. And the biggest thing you do is play down your race, so that everyone else makes a big deal of that instead of your stand on the issues (which you really don't reveal except accidentally when addressing unions and plumbers).
Someone has to get into the Presidential office with a secret camera and film the arrogant SOB in the act of lying and cheating.

Makes one wonder if money was funneled out of Acorn, but then I am sure if that were the case all records have been destroyed as would be the prudent thing to do when in the cheating business.

I emailed AP about the choice of title for the story. Obama according to the story agrees with investigation of the hidden video and actors, didn't say he wanted or agreed that Acorn's activities was needing investigation as the title suggests. I bet just like everything else, he'll bully those that uncovered his beloved Acorn's corruption. Some of his latest pics reveal the threat he is feeling. The pointing is back at himself with 3X's more. If it didn't bother him he'd not look so angry or threatening.

Why does this White House and their media minions believe acting "stupid" is a positive thing and will be welcomed by the People? President Obama Sir, you did read the stimulus bill before you signed it, right? Saying you didn't know they were getting federal money is either proof positive you are "not present" in the White House or you're lying through your teeth.

He didn't exactly say WHO should be investigated. He could have meant James and Hannah. Given this guy's past track record that is what he REALLY meant. He is the master of the non-committal statement. I hope he trips up bad enough to be impeached one day.
