ACORN holds a press conference to announce they are standing behind their employee, who was captured in undercover footage from James O’Keefe and Hannah Giles offering to help smuggle into the country underage prostitutes from El Salvador. The ACORN employee had suggested that the children be brought across the border in Tijuana, because he has “a lot of contacts there.” After the cameras stop rolling, we learn that ACORN has fired the employee…the truth will out.

Oh stop this! ACORN doing an about face in the tide of public opinion? I won't believe this about such a fine, upstanding organization dedicated to bettering the lives of so many low/middle income Americans. I mean they help them cheat on their taxes, obtain sub-prime mortgages leading to the housing meltdown, offer tips on smuggling underage females into the country to be exploited. You know, real help to make ends meet.

Representative Nadler is trying to rescind any of the decisions made this week by the Congress/Senate, stating that it was "unconstitutional" for them to make these snap decisions of defunding without an investigation. So I ask – if the videos did had not surfaced – exactly WHEN would a formal investigation have taken place? Answer? NEVER. These ACORN offices would continue to do EXACTLY what they want, with taxpayer contributions. Remember, VOTER FRAUD has been going on for a very very long time. So had there previously been ANY AUDITS OR INVESTIGATIONS?!? NO! ACORN Continued even then to refuse to open their books, even to the ACORN 8 looking into the corrupt nature of the organization. Would there have been an investigation? Probably NOT. Representative Nadler, please recognize this had to be done to ACORN! The Senate and Congress are cutting off funding. No one is going to jail (yet). Habeas corpus is not the issue here as no one as of yet is going to jail…. of course those tapes are pretty damning evidence though… just sayin.

Juan's story is half believable, and the compassionate side of me wants to believe him, but then where is the records of him trying to help? Emails? Letters? Phone records? Where is the police report? It just doesn't add up.

But no, they kept walking into office after office, for 6 weeks, wearing what amounted to halloween costumes, and asking for help smuggling child prostitutes. These people at ACORN are STREET SMART! How could they possibly all fall for this charade? The whole thing just defies any kind of logic. So either Bertha is telling the truth, but they are so incompetent that they kept zero records of any of it, or, the workers are really THAT stupid, and actually all fell for it. My comment however is to the young lady who played the role of prostitute in the video. I have been watching the interviews on television and I seriously question your motives for doing this "investigation". You made the comment and I am paraphrasing that the way you came up with the idea to investigate them was you were running and happened to come into what you felt was an unsavory neighborhood saw the Acorn office called your friend and decided to set them up.
What I saw in that report that was interesting is they had only two dozen clients per month in the office. Boy, there sure helping out the multitudes of the poor. And for this they need millions of dollars?

How I understand the laws about tapping -You can tape anything and it is legal without consent from the other party. It gets sticky when these tapes are used in court or published without consent of the other party or in a blackmail situation. The court would have too determine if they would allow the tapes as evidence of any crimminal activity. The laws actually are designed in a fashion too allow tapping and protect private citizens ie Media when tapping exceptions are tapping without consent for profitable gain ie Peeping Tom etc.. In other words the tapes exposed them now they must investigae and find more evidence of criminal activity The Tapes alone will not convict them.

ACORN must be one of the most mismanaged community organizations this side of Iran. Basically they are saying they defended the guy before they saw the evidence. Then they took a look at the evidence and said: "never mind, he's fired".
My opinion is that last tape is less than convincing. Very odd and suspicious, but not convincing. Shouldn't they have had a proper investigation before they fired him? Normal procedure would be to put someone on "administrative leave". Perhaps ACORN knows more than they are letting on. Perhaps the top people in ACORN are well aware of illegal activity and are quickly trying to cover the evidence. Hence the office closings. Get the employees out so they can begin the cleanup? I wouldn't be surprised if we see ACORN workers showing up with "aspirin overdoses".

Hard as it is, conservatives must focus on being as accurate as possible even though the Left and its supportive media are loose with the facts. Pelosi is a good example. She laments "political violence" partly a reference to the murder by "conservative" or "arch-conservative Dan White of SF Mayor Moscone and Harvey Milk, . They were all Democrats. White was a DEMOCRAT, but the Left won't admit or report that.
We still see wild claims from the Left that the U.S. Supreme Court gave Bush the 2000 election. But, here's a surprise. On Nov. 12, 2001, after a media study was done, the N.Y. Times reported that Bush would almost certainly have won Florida anyway even if the vote recount that Gore wanted had been completed.
So, the Left has no interest in being accurate and factual. And, even though the Left won't appreciate or acknowledge it, the Right must still be as accurate and factual as possible. It will pay off in the long run.

In the end how does it matter, what matters is the video and what was said by ACORN.
I can't promise the petition will accomplish anything, but I can promise it will keep track of our concerns. Unlike the March on Washington, everything is kept in a database, and can be exported and given to those who say this is NOT mainstream America, just to prove to them we are mainstream America.
