MEGYN KELLY (co-host): Joining me now is Andrew Breitbart. He’s the founder of the website the video first appeared on. It’s called BigGovernment.com, and the videos are still there. Andrew, good morning to you.
BREITBART: Good morning, Megyn.
KELLY: You were with us the morning that the story broke — the morning that the first video aired on BigGovernment.com. And now in a week’s time, the congressional action, the response by the Feds, has been really stunning. I mean, for years, the Democrats in Congress have not wanted to sign on to anything that would cut back funding from ACORN, and now we see these huge majorities coming out of the Senate and the House to cut down the group — to cut off the group’s funding. What’s your reaction, a week into this?
BREITBART: Well, I’m grateful that the American public has realized that there’s a serious problem here, and that their elected representatives are taking their concerns seriously. A new Rasmussen poll came out this morning that says America’s overwhelmingly disturbed by what they’ve seen on these videos.
But, predictably, and why we rolled the videos out one by one by one by one, we set traps for ACORN to lie; each and every time they lied. They went to the mainstream media, continued to tell those lies. The next day, the previous day’s lies were exposed. And CNN in particular has kept going back to ACORN and taking their line.

You have yet to address the police incident report that ACORN Philadelphia has released. Despite the success, the lack of a response to this is hurting the complete legitimacy of the story since it appears to contradict your claims of have success everywhere you tried and validates ACORN's story that you indeed failed in places, were turned away, and the police were contacted. You really should respond to it.
Wow. Check out some of the comments on the media matters web page. Some really twisted stuff, considering i don't see any comments denouncing ACORN…. i just see a lot of excuses for their behavior and a weak defense of their organization.

I am a journalism major in college. When I got back from Iraq last year, just before the presidential election, I was very near giving up that dream. I could stand how the elite media had turned "journalist" into a dirty word, However, in the last few months I have seen some great things… things I thought were no longer possible in this country. I saw that linked article on the site too. I'm curious if we'll get to see Philadelphia tapes. It doesn't detract from the behavior in the other offices though, but I'm not sure why James would intentionally lie about it. Anyone else have any info on the Philadelphia tape?
And now we have Congressman Jerry Nadler of new york's 8th congressional district saying the "defund acorn" provision is a Bill of Attainder, and, thus, prohibited by the Constitution.
This just shows how little Jerry knows the Constitution. A bill of attainder is a law aimed at a specific person or group, declaring them guilty of a crime. The "Defund ACORN" act doesn't do that. A bill of attainder could, in addition to declaring a person or group guilty of a crime, be used to take private property away from a person or group. The bill doesn't take any private property away from ACORN. It denies federal funding to ACORN. I'm not aware of any Constitutional provision that grants groups a right to tax dollars, thus making the tax dollars their "private property". But, i guess i could have missed that part in the Constitution.
Conversely, Jerry Nadler supported a bill aimed specifically at AIG, which would have taxed their bonuses at %100. THAT is a bill of attainder… taking away money(i.e. private property, rightly described as so, by virtue of a LEGAL CONTRACT) from a specific group, by way of Congress enacting a law aimed at the specific group, AIG.
Nadler needs to bone up on his Constitution.

Did you see that news story on Media Matters concerning that police reports were filed? As we are now coming to know, there are many more videos on the horizon. They must took some time traveling and setting up each sting in the different cites, so we know some time lapsed making all these appearances. After a while I would think that maybe just one or two ACORN employees became suspicious and talked to one another at a different office or to higher level individual that tied the events together. I believe not until this happened were any police reports filed. Obviously, I am just guessing, but you must admit that none of the videos show the two being thrown out.
But lets give the benefit of the doubt and say one or two reports were filed after the two left. This defense would be similar to the TV sting "program" where they set up pedophiles to come to a house expecting to have sex with a minor. And instead of exposing the sting at the conclusion, they just let the "target" go. After awhile, some of the predators would become suspicious and try to turn the tables and say they left on their own by saying "when I realized the girl was underage, I knew it was wrong, so I left". Good luck with that defense, ha ha ha!
You see the difference in this sting operation was the "sting" wasn't revealed at the scene! It was duplicated over and over again, with the same results! Reporting later you were a subject of a sting where you participated in aiding and abetting potential crimes is not a defense. It is evidence of a bit of a "brain", but not evidence of innocents!
If this defense would work in court, we should just unlock all the jails cells now! ha ha ha!

I saw the police report. I thought it was interesting that James O'Keefe's real name appeared on the bottom of the police report. I am guessing they got his name from caller ID as the woman at the ACORN office claimed that they got his number from the incoming call into the ACORN office. My question is why didn't the police follow up and call James regarding this incident. I don't see that they did this anywhere in the report. Would that be something the police would normally follow up on?

Diligence will bring success in the demise of OBAMACORN. The two bills, one from the senate and one from the house will need to go to reconcillation to merge and then to Chairman Obama for his signature. He could let it set on his desk to quietly expire (likely) or sign or veto(unlikely).
Should he veto or allow the bill to expire the house and senate will need to override his decision. THEN and only then will OBAMACORN be defunded from the $8.5 billion in the stimilus funding.

Congress de-funded ACORN so they could support the new Obama community organization scheme – AmeriCorps.gov! This just played right into his grand plan to socialize America. I’m calling foul on this so-called Philly police report. I work with the police and if there’s a report then the so-called “defendant” (in this case James) would have been contacted immediately. Since I’ve never heard of James mentioning being contacted I’m suspicious. If, however the report is geniune I think the scenario posted above is more plausible. Looks to me like the word started getting out among some ACORN offices that they were possibly the targets of a sting so someone in Philly filed a report to cover their bums. My first instinct is to feel that the report is bogus. Has anyone contacted the Police Officer identified in the report? Until then I’m reserving judgement.

As far as our schools – I'm a teacher(substitute right now) and NCLB is the worst thing for education ever to come down the pike, also, the teacher's hands are tied because of it and they spend about 2/3 of the day on ELA (English Language Arts) and the other 1/3 on math. No Science or Social Studies hardly at all. (elementary) there's a lot more wrong, but I won't go into it here.

I do enjoy much of what BigGovernment.com offer, *including* the opportunity to share and connect with like-minded, liberty-loving, free-speech cherishing people. I think this is a beautiful thing. And I definitely DO support the cause of BigGov.com in every way and at every level, including their apparent committment to connecting conservatives, not just here, but at a variety of like-minded sites.

She says they were NOT dressed in costume like the other videos when they went to Philly, and that their line of questioning was basic information gathering for the most part – like how does the process work and where would they look for housing, etc
Then she says they never said Hannah was a prostitute, but eventually started asking questions about the El Salvadoran girls, which "made her suspicious." She says she filed a police report, presumably the one posted online. The problem is, that police report says that James and Hannah were "harassing" her and she had been "abused" by them. No mention of the El Salvadoran girls there. Hmmm… I'd love for James to release the Philly tape so we can all judge for ourselves!

I am not really sure how this would be covered under Bill of Attainder. Wouldn't that apply to taking money or property away from someone without being convicted of a crime. We aren't going back to take money or property away from ACORN, but instead just not letting them have access to anymore taxpayer money. It's not like we gave them the money or they earned the money and then we are taking it away. I think the Bill of Attainder did apply to the executives of AIG as they were under legal contract to get paid, but then congress wanted to take that money away from them without them being convicted of anything.

You're exactly right. And if you listen to what they day, they were never turned away for prostitution, under age girls, etc.. The police report, as you stated, was filed to cover her own ass. There is nothing in the police report about setting up a brothel, or prostitution, let alone under age illegal immigrant prostitutes.
So they might have been turned away, ok, i'll buy that. ACORN called the cops.. ok, i've seen the police report, i'll buy that too. BUT, there's still no mention from ACORN about the real issues here: prostitution, setting up a brother with tax payer money, and the illegal immigrant under age prostitutes who would work there. Therefore, ACORN gets zero credit for the real issues here.
I agree with you to a certain extent. I was thrilled to read about the outsider in the San Bernardino drama that actually spoke up to a degree against what James and Hannah were trying to do. But why would James lie about Philadelphia and risk the integrity of all that they did? It leads me to believe that he wasn't aware Philadelphia filed a police report and that maybe a member of the Acorn office in Phillie had a moment of morality (or someone s/he told about the incident smacked some sense into him or her) after the fact and the police report was then filed. Either way, I'm hoping to see the Philadelphia video to shed some light on it.

LOL, CNN and media matters have “A police report” that ACORN gave them a copy of. Neither of these ‘fine’ outfits could afford to go directly to the http://pdreports.phila.gov/arpublic/ARComReqRpt.asp and purchase an official copy for themselves? OR maybe there is no official copy? I couldn’t find a report to purchase using the #’s on the ACORN “copy of police report” but perhaps I was just not able to navigate the system. But if CNN with all its resources is just using the ACORN copy and not verifying it shame on them.
Hey guys, I posted at several blogs before the election last fall that some young idealistic culture warriors needed to get jobs at the old Passe Press organs and secretly video or audio tape the behind the scenes shenanigans the Palace Guards pull to spike and twist stories detrimental to the Left, then publish them online through someone like Breitbart. Or some patriotic entrepreneur needed to fund a prize like the X-Prize for exposes like Hannah and James have performed.
The dragon that must be slain is the Passe Press who prop up these scumbags and are the greatest threat to our freedoms. Take away CBS, the NBC’s, ABC, CNN, NYT, WaPo, Time, Newsweek, etc… by destroying their credibility, then who can the left turn to when they must have the narrative work for them? Destroy their Media Echo Chamber and make them debate their ideas on their merits (I know, don’t laugh) and the entire Left will collapse in a fetid pile of last century’s discredited philosophies whose goals can only be achieved through coercion, corruption, and force. We need more James and Hannahs out there digging and striking pay dirt. Obviously, it’s not that hard. The hubris and recklessness of these Passe Press Bozos and their masters have them convinced they’re invulnerable to anything and compel them to stop at nothing to advance themselves and their agenda.
As much as I can’t wait for the next video drop by Big Government and Beck, and I’m sure it’s gonna’ be a doozy, we can’t stop here and let Andrew, Glenn, James, and Hannah carry all the load. We have to keep the pressure on them (thank you Saul Alinsky) and hit them from every side. Every time they think they’ve fought off the attack, we must strike their unprotected flanks hard and repeatedly. Keep pressing them to pull their advance forces back and contract in on themselves until we have them surrounded and can give the “fire at will” order. They have proven through their actions that no tactic and no target is out of bounds (ask Sarah Palin and her family). Therefore, the ROE are, No Quarter. They give none, hence they deserve none.
