ACORN Fires More Officials for Helping ‘Pimp,’ ‘Prostitute’ in Washington Office
Two more ACORN officials were fired Friday after a second video surfaced showing staffers in the community organizers’ Washington office offering to help a man and woman posing as a pimp and prostitute acquire illegal home loans that would help them set up a brothel.
The firings came less than 24 hours after another pair of ACORN officials from the group’s Baltimore office were canned for instructing the “pimp” and “prostitute” how to falsify tax forms and seek illegal benefits for 13 “very young” girls from El Salvador that pair said they wanted to import to work as child prostitutes.
Both of the encounters were videotaped on a hidden camera wielded by 25-year-old independent filmmaker James O’Keefe, posing as the pimp — tapes that have ignited calls for investigations of ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now.
The group’s leaders said Friday they were “appalled and angry” at what their staffers had done, but insisted the videos were part of a political “smear” campaign and not representative of the institution as a whole.
“But that does not excuse the behavior of the employees,” wrote ACORN’s president Alton Bennet and executive director Mike Shea. “We have fired them and are initiating an internal review of practices and reminding all staff of their obligation to uphold the highest legal and ethical standards.”

As I mentioned at Michelle Malkin's blog, ACORN doesn't look for professionalism in their hirelings, They want people who are cheap, dumb, amoral, and expendable.

Take a deep breath, Susan. Catherine was asking if they HAVE bodyguards, not issuing a threat. From what I heard on the air, Hannah has a LOT of martial-arts training, but that isn't enough. They both need some high-powered defenses to protect them from these thugs. Glenn offered to help "vett" security for them, to make sure they got good people, and I hope someone stepped up.
Apparently other ACORN offices may have been contacted but didn't go along. Big question – how manyof those offices notified the police once they undertood it was a child prostitution ring? Or is it enough under Democrat standards just to look the other way?

This is just step 1 of the scenario… the next step is for the pimp/prostitute to buy their first home and get $8000 ub tax money, get busted, fall a little behind on the payments on the house, realize that gov't will bail them out when they get behind on payments, stop payments, get new loan… then probably repeat. Good, my husband was watching parts of this story last night and declared that he really hates this organization.
ACORN has been proved over and over again that they are a corrupt agency. They need to be taken down. I am all for helping people improving their conditions and their lives and if this were truly the goal of ACORN then they wouldn't need to resort to the tactics they have.

This is not unprecedented and all activists who earn the ire of the opposition generally face these dangers. When McVeigh blew up the federal building in Oklahoma, for instance, it demonstrated how loose ideologues can become. There were a lot of people who "sort of" agreed with what he did (yes, even with daycare factored in). And, of course, we don't have to think that far back to remember 9/11 when religious fundamentalists hijacked those airliners and did away with 3,000 people just to make a point. I'm really glad tht Acorn will not come to my home for a census. The census questions they were going to ask were to personal and outlandish for my liking. Good to see them go, hopefully forever.
What ever disappointments we've have right now with our gov officials, especially the president, did somebody ever realize that for a long time, minorities like black americans have always been the under dog and never been in the highest position in the US Government? Now, a black president is given that opportunity, and would you agree, that Pres Obama maybe using his power now to get his way and to show the Americans, how he can lead the country USA, (for better or worse)?
James and Hanna have done a superb job of exposing ACORN for what it IS…….. A VERY CORRUPT ORGANIZATION. Now it is time for Republican, Democrat and Independents to stand up and be counted, in support of them and a complete investigation.
