The Coming Republican Surge
by Paul A. RaheBack in early May, James Carville gleefully published a book entitled 40 More Years: How the Democrats Will Rule the Next Generation.

In part, an extended rant against George W. Bush and his administration, it also purported to show that “the Republicans are going to keep getting spanked again and again for forty more years because we’re right and they’re wrong, and Americans know it.”
Of course, Carville added, “the Republicans have been down before, and the Democrats have won Congress before, and we’ve still managed to lose.” But, he continued, “this time we strung our policies together into a coherent, appealing narrative. And we did it with the help of the historically diverse, historically Democratic young people who will be the foundation for a lasting Democratic majority.”
This may have seemed a plausible claim late in 2008 or early in 2009 — when the ragin’ Cajun sent off his book to Simon & Schuster. By the time of publication, however, the Republicans in Congress had shown that they still had some fight in them, and the Tea-Party Movement had already made its appearance.
To anyone with any political nous, it was obvious that the Democrats were not going to have a cakewalk. In the course of the summer recess, it became clear that they had a war on their hands.
There had been what I called in August “The Great Awakening,” and it threatened to turn American politics upside down.
That it really may do just that is now evident in the polling data.
I cannot think of any time in the course of my long life in which there has been a political turnaround on this scale in so short a time. If there is not another sharp reversal in public opinion, the Republicans will take the House in 2010 and may secure the Senate as well.
Some will, indeed, get spanked — but not the party that James Carville had in mind. So much for the dreams of the ragin’ Cajun.
The real mystery is how this happened — for it owes nothing whatsoever to the moxie of the Republicans. Of course, they were canny enough to get on board. But they intiated nothing.
No, their benefactors were Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barack Obama.
Back in 1936, Franklin Delano Roosevelt charged that, before he took office in 1933, “a small group” intent on concentrating “into their own hands an almost complete control over other people’s property, other people’s money, other people’s labor – other people’s lives” had been dominant in America.
Hearkening back to Thomas Jefferson’s campaign against the Federalists, he called this small group the “economic royalists.”
It was a brazem lie, of course. But in the situation it worked. Someone had to bear the blame for the Depression, and FDR effected a political realignment that lasted more than Carville’s forty years.
Now, however, the charge lodged by FDR is true.
As anyone who contemplates the recent decision regarding carbon made by the Environmental Protection Agency can easily see, as anyone who puzzles over the details of the various healthcare proposals being pushed in Congress cannot fail to notice, we are all now threatened by “a small group” intent on concentrating “into their own hands an almost complete control over other people’s property, other people’s money, other people’s labor – other people’s lives.”
If the Republicans have any wit, there will be a realignment in the course of the next few years. But it will not be the realignment that James Carville had in mind.
Americans do not like royalists of any kind.

I hope you're right. Americans do hate royalists of any kind, yet he has an uncomfortable point about young people–they have brainwashed almost 2 entire generations into believing Democratic lies and also taught them not to challenge leftist authority figures. The truth may be coming out too late–the majority of young people may be so far gone they simply won't listen.
Lets just see how 2010 plays out, if there is an election at all.
I don't know how Mary Matalin stomachs him. Surprisingly, he and Mary are friendly with Bush Sr. and Barbara.
I do believe he's living a pipe dream, however. Commie-in-Chief MaoBama has vastly overplayed his hand and the REAL Obama is showing his true self. Not much there to like. His innate charm and ability to BS his way to the top got us the worst president of our lifetime (probably the worst ever) and he hasn't been in power a year yet. If his arrogance and bad judgment and his Chicago thug ways continue, he may find himself impeached prior to 2012.
That's right, we don't like royalists or anything that smells like it, and republicans have only Pelosi/Reid/Obama to thank because they didn't do themselves any favors anytime recently. It sucks choosing between which flavor of stupid you prefer. I commented to my father recently that I can't believe how breathtakingly immediate the backlash toward the current majority leadership has occurred, amazing. You couldn't write this stuff.
As a life long Republican… How I wish we could get rid of BOTH parties and start over FROM the people – The GREAT UNWASHED PEOPLE! Note to the elite on both sides: Don't let the door hit you on your way back to Europe.
Jesus is my king.

If I were a betting man I don't think I would solicite advice from James Carville. In fact I call his judgement into serious question with his statement about The dems having a "coherent" policy. Yeah, coherent like the Cloward-Piven strategy of controlled chaos.
Jacey I hope that will be true!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I really don't want to have to take the country back by force.
The Dems already face utter annihilation in 2010-
They can’t pass ObamaCare with abortion OR a public option- and reconciliation is just an empty threat, the remaining legislation would be a hollow shell-
And Cap-n-tax? With the evidence looking weak lately, Obama’s own #s tanking… and 11% unemployment? Good luck!
That leaves the only major legislation enacted -even with Democrats dominating Congress- the wholly-ineffective Porkulus. Obama has NO political cover on that one, due to the paucity of GOP collaborators- he owns it.
And all it will ever stimulate is inflation… in the months leading right-up to midterms. The Democrats look to face a bloodbath next fall, with some already predicting a 100 seat loss.
By 2012, most people will wince at the very mention of the name “Obama”- and the GOP could take 40 states running Gilbert Gottfried- LOL
Party’s over kiddies- time to put the grown-ups back in charge…
http://reaganiterepublicanresistance.blogspot.com
Do the Republicans have a strategy? Seems like maybe they are doggie paddling in a tidal wave. It would be nice to see some table pounding or foot stomping by some Republican, like an Alan Grayson type.
I am hoping for big changes for 2010 but I will NEVER vote for a RINO again
^ that comment is copy pasta
The problem with what it asserts is simple, todays majority leadership has no problem putting downward pressure on a fragile economy. They don't mind mind cap n tax at all, they'll merrily ride into the abyss to get it done, partially satisfactory except that they are dragging the country over the brink along with them. Lesser dems are eager to give us a kick in the rump on the way over and not to worry about re-election, the plumb jobs they'll get later will be more than adequate in recompense for signing off on this insane and tyrannical agenda.
I'd agree with you about they won't listen…I heard that some states are instituting a texting ban by teen drivers…when asked about it, they said they'd simply ignore the law because that's stupid…I say make it a $1000 find for the 1st offense and subsequent offenses add $500 to the base fine…if they can't pay let em work it off in a soup kitchen or picking up trash along the highway at minimum wage….they need to know that there are consequences to their stupid actions!
The left, and to be fair all of Washington have totally misread ’08. It was classic American politics of “throw the bums out.” But, what the country has done, in our zeal to correct Washington, is put ‘60s radicals in charge of the country. Eggheads that know nothing of the real world, this is not our parents Democrat party. The good news is America is paying attention, like a laser beam on Washington now, and that’s bad news for Washington incumbents, they are an endangered species…2010, 2010, 2010!
Please spare us, Carville. Haven't you made enough money scamming the public yet?
I, personally, can’t wait for the Republicans to regain control of Congress, so that they can continue to do nothing about the lawless Democrats and all their illegal programs and methods. I’ll sure enjoy seeing absolutely nothing being done to put Obama, Dodd, Schumer, Pelosi, Franklin Raines, and everyone at ACORN behind cold iron bars for their treasons and high crimes. It’ll be just like last time, where a fun time was had by all!
I could muster more and thicker sarcasm regarding our ball-less Republicans, but I think it would be lost on those of you who think that a Party which has shown itself to be utterly and completely spineless IS ACTUALLY GOING TO CHANGE ANYTHING AT ALL.
Just what is it you think “our” party is going to do once back in “control”? And based on what past evidence? Contract with America? That was more than a decade ago, at a time when we had more than one or two people WITH HONOR in our congress. Unicorns and rainbows on the left, unicorns and rainbows on the right.
BOOT THEM ALL OUT. Every last one of them. Both parties.
It’s the only way to be sure.
Those who have graduated and can't find jobs are not going to vote Dem again and those who did manage to get a job, are shocked and rocked to their very inner most being, as to how much in taxes are removed from their pay.
Most got on board the now sinking ship, NOT because they are 1) Dems 2) agree with and know what Obama claimed to stand for 3) willing come out in 2010 for a non-presidential/non-Obama election.
They voted for Obama because 1) they wanted to "be a part of history" 2) they wanted to show that they could vote for a "black man" 3) believed it was the "cool" thing to do 4) are part of one of THE most uneducated "educated" generations in world history.
Am I stuck in some kind of timewarp here?
My last post was posted at 5:29 PM, just like the clock on my computer, and my stove, and my alarm clock says, on December 12 of this year.
All the other posts near mine are posted TOMORROW?
What the freaking flying F*** is going on?
Hey BIG GOVERNMENT system admins:
Something is seriously wrong with the clocks on your servers.
Right you are !
Quite a few Dems have already said that they arfe NOT running for re-election; they can smell their own demise, should they have stayed.
Don't get excited about possible Conservative wins:
1. Never ever underestimate the ability of the Republicans to drop the ball on the 5 yard line.
2. Obama is sitting on a 200 billion dollar slush fund (which EVERY SINGLE person here should be writing their representatives to demand he give back immediately).
3. There is a year to go.

Unfotunately, the MSM only pays attention to the Republican and Democrat parties. Ignoring other parties because iot’s easier! THAT way they get the “American people” to argue amongst each other(damned democrats/rotten republicans). While we WERE arguing-these idiots decided that they were going to do what they “WANT TO DO.” Every YEAR before ELECTIONS there are COUNTLESS MUDSLINGING LIES directed to each candidate. I turned MY TV OFF! IF the REPUBLICANS CAN SEE they need to do some CHANGING-THEY WILL takeover in 2010/2012 The Democrats HAVE HAD THEIR CHANCE-AND THEY are DESTROYING AMERICA FROM WITHIN! They have done NOTHING but to divide this GREAT NATION. WE NEED TO CHARGE THOSE COMMITING TREASONAS ACTS after the election. WE need PUT INTO PLACE “TERM LIMITS!” So, that NONE of these people DON’T GET TOO COMFORTABLE in their positions. So, that LOBBYISTS don’t get special treatment. The REPUBLICANS, that are NOW in office NEED to be “FLEXIBLE” NOW MORE THAN EVER. PROPER INVESTIGATIONS INTO THE ACORN/SEIU need to be upheld. As well as the legality of ALL the czars put into office. The CLIMATEGATE scandal, including the “moneytrail” in volved. CHARGING those accountable who manufactured this scam. What the DEMOCRATS have done is “FLEECE AMERICA.” And, absolutely NO BAILOUT for MSM! They “hung themselves,” let US ENJOY THE BREATH OF FRESH AIR!
Barak Obama and the looney tune democrats in congress are in the mess that they're in is because they're all morons.Carville has always looked like someone who should only come out on Halloween. The democrats had it all and in most cases absolute power corrupts absolutly but in this case it corrupted what few brain cells they have left.
The democrats are eating each other.A perfect example of a big tent with no central theme. The republicans have that problem but the majority of Americans are roping them back in.The people in this country are awake and that's shown itself in the Town Halls and the Tea Party movement.
Barak Obama and the democrats thought they could take this country down the socialist road and the people of this country are pushing back hard. You can't lie to that extent and actually think you can get away with it.
The right way to do this in my opinion is to get involved at the local level, support and work for Conservative Candidates in the primaries. When the RNC starts see a wave of true Conservative Candidate winning the primaries, they will take notice, especially the amount of money I expect them to raise.
He would be our first Jewish President, if He were to win in 2012.
there will be an election in 2010…but after the results you will see them push harder to "fix" that problem…cuz you and many others know what's next in the game plan ….and it ain't a beer summit.
I think this country needs another true "Great Awakening", not just a pseudo (political) one. The people need to turn back to the Christian beliefs and principles this country was founded on.
the only thing yet to be determined is just how bad the slaughter will be when the polls close next november. will acorn even bother to stack the deck, or save that for the next round?
whew does Mary Matalin still wake up next to that critter every morning? Some gals like sleeping with their pet animals (dogs, cats, whatever), she apparently has a strange attraction for mutant cross-breeds between cottonmouth snakes and alligators……
I wouldn't count on the Republicans to win anything. Hoping to win because you feel everyone is sick of Obama and the democrats does not guarantee a win, you need to come up with people better than the democrats.
Don't forget the left has a lot of power and control over the way things are run, the Republicans need to get over that as well.
Why would we care what some freakish Cabbage Patch Doll thinks or says. TEA PARTY FOREVER!
The plain and honest truth is the GOP aint much different than the DNC. Don’t forget with Bush at the helm the runaway spending started, it's not all Bush's fault, there was a DNC controlled congress, but he could have and should have done more to ride heard on the madness. Republicans are still pouring on the pork even in this latest omnibus bill, more will come out on that in the near future I am sure. In a recent national poll the DNC was 36% of the nation, the GOP was 18%, that is right 18%. Tea Partiers came in at 26%! A lot of people think this is all good for the republicans, afterall they are the huge and powerful GOP right? I mean the Tea Party better get in line with the GOP or we will have repeat of 92 with Slick willy getting in on 42% rigjht?
NOPE i say you are about to see history being made and here is why. People are really, I mean really pissed off at having their country taken away from them. You are about to see community organisers of all walks of life. That Saul Aliinsky, he wrote the the playbook for change, many conservatives are reading it. NY23 was a shot across the bow for the GOP. Steele and Gingrich are singing a different tune now. With sites like Freedom Works, Club for Growth, and Juidicial Watch just to name a couple, people are now able to see how thier representatives are voting. There will be consequences this time around. The Lindey Grahams and RINOS of that ilk should be worried.
I just pray God we still have a country in three years…
How does the saying go? Hubris begets nemesis…
Obama is now MINUS-16 in Rasmussen’s approval index. And I don’t think he’s hit rock bottom yet.
http://thehayride.com/2009/12/the-incredible-imploding-president/
Obama flies over the ocean
Obama lies over seas
Obama lies to the nation
Oh Please take Obama from me
How does the saying go? Hubris begets nemesis?
Obama is now MINUS-16 in Rasmussen's approval index. That's about as rock bottom as you can get. But I don't think it's as low as he's going to go.
http://thehayride.com/2009/12/the-incredible-impl...
Politics make for strange bedfellows.
200 billion in unused TARP, 500 billion in unused stimulis…
The Flower Child of yesterday is the Democratic leaders of today.
Here we go with the start of 2010 just 19 days away, we must be ready for anything & everything to start coming out of the woodwork. The Libs & Dems will try everything in the book to circumvent the system from running fairly. I would not be surprised to see huge demonstrations staged by the unions & their associated groups, mass corruption on a scale no one imagined. We all must vigilant & watch out for wrongs, no body gets a free ride to D.C. no matter what party they are, they must earn it.
What did christian beliefs have to do with the founding of this country. I thought that this was a Free country. I may decide to worship several different religions in my life time. The Muslims helped us win our freedom and some were early settlers.
I believe we said the same thing.
Hell, they won't even speak out against the crimes of the past Administration. The patriot act, illegal wiretapping, lying about WMDs, lying about 911, torture, kidnapping, are just a few. Billions of dollars just dissapeared into thin air. Our reputation was destroyed along with our Military and our Economy.
If we don't hold Bush Administration officials to account how can we say a work when and if Obama breaks the law. Once we throw Cheney, Rove, Bush, etc. in jail future leaders will watch their step a little closer. If not then it will be accepted that the President is above the law.
Don't blame Obama's election on just the young people. There are many stupid people in all age categories. My 50 year old friend is convinced Obama has been good for the country. Although when I pressed him to name 2 things that were good he began a rant about Bush. I'm still hoping for the 2 things.
You know, we've still got ACORN. An ACORN election would not be a problem for the dems.
How we wish the Republicans could get a LITTLE moxie!
After I posted a reply to Syntax game, my computer really acted up. He said with every post "have a cookie." I think he was uploading viruses.
The stupidity, ignorance, lies and misrepresentation of facts along with the hatred on these pages is amusing. I'm glad you people mostly in breed so that this doesn't spread. Acorn by the way just got an injunction in their case allowing them to get their money. Also those who doctored the films could find them selves in a cell with real pimps to worry about. Thanks for the many laughs.
I don't want to either, but will if necessary.
The reason dems appeal to ANYONE is because they have cultivated a sense of entitlement in our children, as well as certain segments of our general populace. By instilling these amoral 'values' , the libs have robbed all of their constituents of any self determination, only going along to receive any 'benefits' the government deems one worthy to have bestowed upon them. Of course, the government can, at anytime, revoke these 'privelages' at the whim of a distant, disconnected bureaucrat, having an eventual stranglehold over all.
exactly, you hit the nail on the head, like Tip O'Neill used to say "all politics is local", if you/we don't start at the grassroots level, we'll end up with more of the same – the Gingrich's/McCains, start at the grassroots, if there are not any, start running one yourselves, DIY.
America is not a liberal country despite what the Dem's say, and the young folk aren't all liberals either, I quit being a registered Republican and re-registered as a 'independent' after Bush #1, I am an independent conservative first before I'll join another party. There are too many that wear the Republican nameplate that are RINO and I want no part of them or to be in any way associated with them.
Grass Roots Nation dot com has plenty of good organizations to join at from a grass roots perspective, if none in your area, start one.
Ahhh… a message from the parasitic left. What’s in it for you?
The liberal democrats are enjoying their power orgy at the expense of our country's morals, security and standing in the world community. This administration has taken corruption and partisanship to a whole new twisted level. For what it is worth, I believe that this administration is doomed to fail because as we speak there is an upwelling of American people who are getting sick and tired of a President and congress that seem to think they are untouchable. Call them "tea baggers" or whatever you like. These are hard working American citizens who still have a voice and that voice will continue to get louder until it can no longer be ignored. "Change you can believe in" will finally arrive in 2012.
alligators have a purpose in the grand scale of life, Carville however……………….
I agree. This administration is nothing but an all night, dope induced rap session about the ills of Amerika and how to "correct" them. The great unwashed should appreciate that such intellectual luminaries are there to take care of us. To free us to roam the parks in search of smarmy sex and hook-ups without consequence. THX 1138 here we come! It is a brave new world out there!
The anti-establishment of the 60's has become the establishment. OFF THE ESTABLISHMENT!
You know it never fails… prople that can only spew vitreol and not intellegnt discourse are not worthy of inclusion of the discussion. They should probably find out waht their mother;s made for supper and watch cartoons. LOL
Never know, He may be back……..
Soon!
I discarded my television when the MSM forced Nixon to resign for something thats seems frivolous to what is going on now, RMN may have not been your cup of tea but the poor man was railroaded out of office by the leftist media.
Vote out all the incumbents in 2010 unless they are legitimate public SERVANTS for their constituents, if they aren't, boot them out.
2010, the table should be be: #1 Term limits; #2 no pork, balance the budget #3 bring back the House of Un-American Activities and thoroughly investigate the POTUS and his crimes, then go after the rest of them, Pelosi, Reid, et al, that will keep them busy for a while
Marxists, not Royalists. And, more and more people are seeing that their emperor has no clothes – despite the continuing adoration of his troupe of bards and minstrels once known as the main stream media.
Rubberchicken you are right on target. This country was most definitely founded on Christian principles and a realization that "unless the Lord build the house, those that build it labor in vain." An honest examination of early American documents and writings clearly reveals this, and unless we start returning to this worldview, we will continue to deteriorate as a nation.
Attention Convicts: Obama's Reorganizing Now
The only hope is groups like Young Americans for Liberty, the Intercollegiate Studies Institute and Christian/Classical/Western Civilization education.
It's bigger than Obama and Bush Sr. isn't a strong advocate for limited government and personal liberty.
Carville has lost his mind. The feeble minded bald guy from CNN could not predict anything right.
We need to infiltrate both parties if we are to exact real change. A strong GOP isn't good enough when the Dems are run by shadow Commies.
Why does Carville wear those kinds of outfits? It seems like he would be trying to play down looking like some kind of alien.
At least that money will go to save jobs…on the Democratic side of aisle in Congress!
The article believes that Republicans have gotten the message. I think that the new crop of candidates gets it, but the leadership at the top (except for Bahner, and a few folks in the Senate) doesn't. We might be able to take back the Republican party, but it will be a grass-roots, ground-up, effort. Now if you're not interested in that prospect, then sit back and whine about Republicans. If you want to make a difference, get involved and contribute (time, money, whatever) to INDIVIDUAL candidates, NOT the NRSC or the NRCC.

The Huffy Puffy website must be down for maintainance.
Actually, there are many more of us than what you might think. I am 25 and remember screaming (literally) at spanish teachers and political and psychology professors. I was 13 the first time I caused an uproar because I didn't see the "good will" in letting a bunch of illegal immigrants rape our countries tax system…news flash, the illegals have had "free" healthcare for decades. The urine-stream media has demonized normal everyday Americans that so many young people think that they themselves are crazy for loving morals. The only problem is that Americans have a short-term memory. But people will be reminded in just a few short weeks when Bush's tax cuts expire and it is felt on every payday…effectually forcing the "majority of young people" to listen. Of course it was Bush's fault for that blunder also.
There will be an election but the integrity and effect of lawmakers may be nullified by that point. But of course that will be a job saved regardless. Which is what the liberals want…divide and conquer.
Check and hold them accountable to what they have stood for in the past? Not a bad idea. I just pray that we get some American-loving lawmakers – with balls to stand up for what is right and just speak their mind. At least we would know what we where getting. It is bad when I truly believe that we would be better off just electing politicians the same way we do a jury. Oh wait, liberals are diluting the effectiveness of that also. I would not care what they do on their own time as long as they did what was right for America…be a junkie, queer, Bush…ok maybe the lil' Bush had his faults but his record was stellar compared to the last 3 democrat presidents we have had. Just think Carter, Clinton then Obama…are we really that fickle? America please don't do this again!

It will also go to illegally fund the 2010 elections.
The young will follow those who do not make them suffer. Republicans, cussed as they are, still hold the rights of the working over they fascists on the other side of the isle. Obama was elected as a rock star. All of the mighty fall and usually in disgrace. Barack Hussein Obama is the best thing that has happened to this country since Jimmy Carter. He is interfering with peoples private lives and the people know they will suffer for it. Sound bites and photo ops don't improve the living conditions of society. It does not protect us from the enemy. Obama was a rock star, but even rock stars fade when they can't enchant the public. Obama will have to deliver on his promises. So far he has accomplished nothing. The young of this country need to be told , we, the people are the government. Our elected representitves are our employees. When the young are hungry, cold, without work and truly suffering, the enviorment, the government and even their fellow man will not matter. Mob rule will take place of democracy. History proves that dictators are vanguished. I can only pray it is peacefully. Apathy is residing. Let the people be pissed off, it's better than being pissed on.
I guess racketeering, embezzlement, vote rigging, voter registration fraud and posing as a non-profit to secure government money for laundering back to the Dems is okay in your book as long as it's your party, isn't it, Evans? I'll bet that on election day, you vote early and vote often. But to a lib, the end justifies the means even if you have to lie, cheat, steal and rig elections to determine the outcome. If Cap & Trade passes, can't wait for you to get your ginormous electric bill. But your leaders will be raking in billions as they're buying up carbon credits thru MaoBama's good friend, who's in charge of the Chicago Climate Exchange, the ONLY official place to buy those carbon credits for this scam. Gotta hand it to your Dear Reader. At least he's consistent. He does love those quid pro quos.
Are you sure the Republicans don't have their hands dirty http://www.thirty-thousand.org
You might vote for a RINO and not even know it. That's the problem.
This Gen Xer has indeed woken up!
That's funny!
Don't know yet…Republicans have often beat themselves! Let's hope they have learned that being conservative is the way to go. AND WIN!
Carville is a circus clown and he's always a day late and a dollar short. His stupid book is the perfect example of his idiocy. What a jerk!
Wow, how about the Clinton administration? How many people out there even remember when he told Kenya to release bin laden? Pointing the shit stick at people won't fix a thing, following the money and carving out corruption will. When you bush bash just remember that if America had not gone to war in iraq and afghanistan then the economy would be much worse…we have just overstayed our welcome. But the war did jolt the economy. It sent many factories to seven day work weeks not to mention the soldiers. 30,000 more troops…that is actual "jobs created," the ones already there are "jobs saved." I know that is a sick and twisted way to look at it but then again it does make political sense. Really, think about it – go put your life on the line and protect our country on their soil. Or become a community organizer today. I'll take bush any day.
Exactly right. I was no fan of Bush 41. In fact, quite disappointed. My support for 43 goes as far as his stand up efforts after 9/11 and I agree with both Iraq and Afghanistan. He is a good man whose compassionate conservatism policies sucked on ice.
We are going to have to put up with the "lesser of two evils" as far as the Repubican party is concerned. Electing only strict conservatives won't get it done. Conservative Libertarians have to concentrate on the state and local level also. This is where the fundementals of long term change will be built. A healthy lineup of conservative minded local and state politicians will enable us to give back to the states what should never have been taken away namely, education. The following should be deleted ASAP: Dept of Education, EPA, HUD, and DOE. Give all that back to state control and you will see liberal power evaporate very quickly.
Carville is one of the preeminent BS artists. Witness, Bill Clinton. He gets away with it because his choir is the retarded liberal intelligensia which, is an mutually exclusive oxymoron sure but, accurate.
Yeah, but we're gonna have to jump their collective sh*t when, it just a question of when, they get out of line. Republicans have to learn the lesson being taught now in the fetid halls of congress or we'll be yelling at them in the townhalls, and we had better!
Sadly, that's a problem we're going to have to consciously accept. We cannot win congressional advantage on a strict conservative platform. Ain't gonna happen right now (yes, Mom I know, it's not a word). The dream of a third party is unrealistic unless it means complete dismantling of the existing GOP and is absorbed, essentially rebranding the GOP. Then, I hear Roger Daltry in the background…….."Meet the new boss……."
Carville has nothing to offer to any conversation….why is he ever a topic of interest in this article! We need the moxie of Sarah Palin…she could take them all on!!
So's his flippin' brother, Henry Waxman……..
damnit….
Oh most definitely. They have gone "all in". This is the culmination of the '60's left and that last card that popped up wasn't the one they were looking for.
You are correct, sir! There has been a LOT of serious soul searching with the X's, for sure. I am post Boomer/early X and I see quite a few former (D), more than the media will admit, jumping Independent. They are DONE with the democrats. The Republican's, and I am a former now (I), need to target these folks honestly. A lot of these people are Tea Partiers. They will not accept a (R) trying to coopt (is that a word?) the Tea Party Movement which may end up being the most pivotal in US political history. Time will tell.
Slightly off-topic, but I saw something interesting about a law suit filed by/for the auto dealers who were put out of business by the big Obama/Automotive Industry takeover. Part of the suit apparently includes disclosure demands re: proof of 'natural born citizenship' eligibility ala the "birther" suits; the difference is, these litigants have established legal standing (actual, measurable financial loss and destruction of their businesses). It was due to "lack of standing" that the "birther" suits were summarily dismissed.

The premise is that, lack of eligibility would preclude any authority for the takeover and subsequent destruction of the litigants' businesses. As an aside, it would also seem to delegitimize any legislation he has or will sign.
This suit apparently does a 180 on where the burden falls: Obama would have to prove legitimacy, rather than the litigants having to prove otherwise. Demands are apparently for all of the undisclosed records (passport, his father's dual citizenship status and history, adoption records and prerequisites, elementary school original records, college admission declarations, etc. — all the stuff the Obama team has spent at least 1.7 Mil to keep under wraps).
Should be interesting if it gets beyond the starting gate.

in the words of SGT JJ Sefton:
"Give that man a kewpie doll.!"
I'm a little fuzzy on the whole "muslims helped us win our freedom" thing. Could you expound on that? Hey, if there is something I don't know, educate me.
Now, open your book to Chapter 2:
This country was founded on Judeao-Christian fundementals. Read that little minor document called the Declaration of Independence. In the Constitution it is stated that you may believe what you want or chose not to. So, how does founding this country on Judeao-Christian fundementals not give it's citizens the right to freely worship. or not, as they please?
You need to flush all that vaunted education you assimulated at the re-education center and learn. There is more to learn than attendence at 3:00AM bong sessions in the dorms. I know……
but they were still fun anyway…..
I was nice a couple posts up but now, your KoSKIds T-shirt is showing. Are you retarded, is that your problem? You suuuure sound like it. Put your crash helmet back on and put down the crack pipe. You should see how serious your lovely demmycraps were that one Saddam Hussien, (where have I heard that name before?) did indeed have the ubiqious WMD's. Lotsa quotes out there……lots. Gore, Kerry, Cinton, Gore again, Dodd, Pelousy, the list goes on and on.
Really dude……too much MSLSD.
You need to back off that stuff.
Did you go to an AG school with Keith Olbermann?
I think you can be assured that ACORNHOLE will most definitely stick their collective pinkys in the polling. If they had any brains, they would understand that 2010 is actually more important, by far, than 2012. 2010 will set the tone.
