Sure but just think of what it would be like with any federal employees … sorry I was having a nice day dream there for a minute
"Minneapolis puppet show receives federal stimulus dollars"
Why do I have the feeling that Obama's school safety Czar is behind this, and the puppet master is going to be asking all the kids to reach into his pocket…
These already-overpaid Federal employees will be receiving an across-the-board 2% pay increase as a result of the recently passed omnibus spending bill.
Meanwhile, much of middle America is stuck in unemployment lines, thanks to job killing Big Government legislation from the party of borrow and spend (Republicans) followed by the party of borrow and spend even more (Democrats).
While cushy bureaucrats get paid more to figure out how to raise our energy bills, we the people have to worry about finding work to pay those bills.
While corrupt congressmen gorge themselves on pork projects, we have to worry about how our grandchildren will pay off those pork projects, plus China's share of the interest.
November 2010 is coming.
Another thing to consider: historically, more Republicans vote against Tom Coburn's pork-busting amendments than vote for them. Almost all Democrats vote against them.
Unless you're represented by one of the less than ten fiscal conservatives (Coburn, DeMint, Flake, etc), call your Congressmen and tell them you're mad as hell!
If any of my representatives vote for even one more pork project, I'll be voting to throw the bums out. I'd rather vote for a Libertarian or Constitution party member who has no chance of winning than some corrupt, pork barreling Republican or Democrat.
In 2010, I'll write in Mickey Mouse for Congress before I give my vote to a pork barrel crook.
The voters hold their hands out, and the Corrupticians pick the pockets of anyone with is not already on the dole, toss a few bits to the voters, the rest to their cronies and keep a nice little piece for themselves.
If these things were put on the nightly news, week after week I have no doubt that the so called representatives would need 24×7 protection, its theft plain an simple.
I'd like a $100,000 grant to study the effects of marijuana and malt liquor on my body.
I don't worry – I'll be LONG GONE – before they receive the BILL!

Lets make no mistake about it, there is enough pork going around with the Republicans as well as the Dems. All my Reps from Utah have already received a nasty gram from me and since the congressional hot line is toll free I think I'll make a few calls. As a matter of fact I think I'll call once a day untill I get a rise out of them.
The Columbus school story isn't surprising. Government agencies always do things like that. My local transit system has a building they own and moved out of it into the high rent district of the city. The old administration building that they still own is sitting empty while they continue to pay high rent and whine about running out of money.
What amazes me, is that D.C, who has more crime than anywhere in America, is the capital of these United States??!! How can ANYONE trust politicians, that can't even clean up the corruption and crime, in the ONE TOWN they spend so much time in?????? WE THE PEOPLE have to do something about this NOW, before ALL of our rights are stripped away!!!
Government people deserve to have higher wages – you want low pad traitors – would you?

"I said Spinal Tap first and Puppet Show second"
If the statistic above is true, there must be a huge group(s) of which I am unaware. I was a federal employee for 40 years (six degrees). I managed a missile program and reached $100,000 a year in the last five years of my career. My daughter worked for Boeing for ten years and was part of the team that built the ISS laboratory. Upon the lab completion, she was hired by NASA to work on special projects. She is the Lead System Engineer for the ARES Program and makes about $80,000 a year. All of our colleagues give our "all" in our projects. We are disappointed in all the corruption that has been revealed.

I have read that something like 1 person made 150K+ pre-2009 in one of the federal divisions, which one escapes me at the moment, but something like 1700 now make over 150K in that division.
Seems like most of the stimulus is being handed out in the form of government growth and pay raises
