The Federal Aviation Administration has spent more than $270 million in federal stimulus grants on projects that scored poorly on the agency’s own national priority rating system

Cool! Now lets talk about how Bushie Jr. dumped the economy in the toilet over the course of 8 years!
Gotta spend some money to correct what the reds fucked up in the past 8 years.
I smell troll.
@anotherstupidredneck That's right deflect the subject on to Republicans, instead of trying to defend the actions of your Democrat porkers.
The Left really must miss Bush – they drag him into most conversations.
Lets look at some more pork:
$44,139,929 for 23 projects by Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.), including: $18,000,000 for Army Corps of Engineers construction in rural Nevada; $4,780,000 for Truckee Meadows; $3,000,000 for Tahoe Basin restoration; $2,749,000 for Bureau of Reclamation water projects in North Las Vegas; $1,189,375 for the Andre Agassi Charitable Foundation’s Alternative Energy School of the Future in Clark County; $761,200 for a solar lighting demonstration project; $713,625 for Algal-Base Renewable Energy for Nevada; $682,778 for the Great Basin Center for Geothermal Energy; $475,750 for the Nevada Institute for Renewable Energy Commercialization; $386,000 for a carbon-neutral green campus; and $142,725 for a plug-in hybrid vehicle demonstration program in Las Vegas.
Let's cut to the chase – how much spending isn't pork?
I would agree that Bush was a big government proponent that had a nice hand in screwing things up. However, I can't see how any of the pork projects listed here "correct" anything Bush did.
Care to elaborate?
Or even more Pork:
$111,872,000 for 28 projects by Senate Appropriations Committee Chairman Daniel Inouye (D-Hawaii), including: $33,315,000 for education for Native Hawaiians; $238,000 for the Henry Kuualoha Giugni Archives at the University of Hawaii, Honolulu for cultural education; $238,000 for the University of Hawaii School of Law in Honolulu for a health policy center; $238,000 for the Polynesian Voyaging Society, Honolulu, for educational programs; and $190,000 for educational programs at the Bishop Museum in Honolulu. A Bizjournal.com article noted that a 2009 grant to the museum of $1.7 million from the Howard K. L. Castle Foundation was “sorely needed.” A peek at the museum’s 2007 tax return showed a fund balance of $74.9 million. Sen. Inouye’s haul represented more than 10 percent of the total cost of the Labor/HHS earmarks.
Everyone should note item #4 in this article. Goldman Sachs get 3 million for mining company. Goldman Sachs is benefitting the most from the current CON-gress. They stand to make the most from Cap and Trade.
It's like an addiction frenzy with these guys. I swear they're almost wild eyed as they propose each new pork-laden project. Enemies of the state.
"…made up almost 80 percent of the firefighting money earmarked for Louisiana…"
Acorn gets a grant for one million dollars (80% of the grant) for firefighting/fire safety projects? I knew Acorn was in the pimp n ho biz, I didn't know that they were firefightin' biz too.
If the government doesn't do something about this corruption, we are seriously scr***ed.
I mean really, WHY would acorn get ANY fire money? That should go to FIRE DEPARTMENTS, you know, the departments that employ FIREMEN who RISK THEIR LIVES fighting fires and saving people.
Geezuz cripes.
FlatTaxer? Are you trying to make sense of something that has to do with Acorn corruption and their money laundering schemes? Although we all know that Acorn needs to put out a lot of fires lately with our tax money.
