The only thing that shocks me is that I am not shocked. Especially about honoring a whino.
And really, lacrosse is significant to lacrosse players. The rest of us have no clue how to play. Now pay me!

The exhibit was under $50K and it's on a Mohawk reservation. The Pork Report needs to find bigger, more wasteful examples.
So how much did the birth order study cost?
And the link to the CNN story is old.
Find the Pork, oinker.
I'm all for finding pork, but the Long Island beaches and the $334,000 for the dredging of Barnegat Inlet and $385,000 for the New Jersey Intracoastal Waterway project. are needed for the local economy. That's a function of government.
The Ted Kennedy library–now that's pork.
"A waste is a waste, no matter how small"
Don't you as a taxpayer get tierd of being concientious with your personal money while the government spends like there is no bottom? I really don't care how much these special interests get be it 1 million or 1 dollar. Our country is in deep financial trouble. We CANNOT spend our way out of debt. it wouldn't work in your home or mine.
How can it work in Washington?
How can these people morally continue to pull this bull?
Thank you for your comment, btw.
I don't give a Damn….A Buck is A Buck…
Need to pass a bill that no more piggy backing on existing bills.
Each Bill should be for one direct purpose only and then voted on… That will stop this Corrupt Fraud
No more Back washington alley deals
It has Nothing to do about Military Expenditures.
Have those crooks make a separate bill…… then you will see how much the gov will save. This would expose the waste and who is voting for it.
They, Our Gov't has no reguard for our lives abroad or in our Great Country. They are not interested in America or what America stands for -we our expendable servants in thier world. It's about give up your cash, and not too "share the wealth" but too extend the gov't's power. The arrogance of the WH will be what destroy's them, we need to be aware however other's (countries) are making plans to take advantage of this arrogance. Obama will make it easy for another to try and take control of our country.
The dredging of the inlet and Intercoastal waterway may be a function of government, but it should be the burden of the taxpayers of the state of New Jersey. Not the burden of every taxpayer in the country. How about you in New Jersey stop wasting the people's taxes on things most people think are trivial and use the savings for your dredging.
It is the Plan…..The 2 Bush prez always talked about a ONE world government.
Bush II got the TARP bill and set the take over of car and bank companies. Paid off Wallstreet and who hell else, probably China and other countries, because they knew America scammed them.
This just let Obama to slide right in and keep the TAKE over going.
I think they should have done the decent thing for Kennedy and named a bridge after him…
Shameful. This money is for our MILITARY, not New Jersey, not Maryland..I don't give a S&%$ whether NJ's local economy needs it or not. And IF your local economy needs it, pay for it yourself you slackers!
Did you read the links? Only the first one is military appropriations. NOt the New Jersey beaches. Different line item.
Intercoastal waterway is federal. Please read.
but not for DEFENSE
This pork report just makes me madder and madder at how the government wastes my hard earned money.
I agree a Bill should be a BILL, with nothing added, so we know what our reps are voting on and so that they know as well.
Once again we see more and more wasteful spending from our politicians.
As far as the $20 million for building a repository for Ted Kennedy's papers, that is the biggest waste of them all. He wasn't my Senator so why should my tax money go to honor that drunk. Let John Kerry pay for it since he wants it so much. And to put it in a defense bill…outrageous!
Military/Defense Appropriation bills should be verified by the Defense Department, then sent to the president's desk with a report sent to congress of adjustments made.
These people are seriously out of controll. If John Kerry wants a memorial to Edward Kennedy, then he should do it the old fashioned way – sponsor/set up a charitable organization in his state, have events to raise money, etc. Oh, I forgot, that's called WORKING for something you want. So much easier to feast off the American Taxpayer Bank of the USA.
What mindsets these people have. I don't think anything can change the way they think except losing their jobs. They will never change. In a way, we can thank Obama for getting elected and the economy tanking, because now people are really paying attention/or discovering the fiscal irresponsibility of our elected officials and how they are driving us deeper into debt.
Is anyone in Washington doing anything to effect positive change for our catastrophic economic state?
The New Jersey Intercoastal Waterway is maintained by the Army Corp of Engineers.
Given the current state of our economy, caused largely by incredibly bad risk/reward decisions by many of of our citizens, I don't see anything particularly wasteful about a study into the factors contributing to willingness to make risky decisions. That item certainly doesn't seem as obviously wasteful as the others.
This is all so disgusting. We read and shake our heads and it still happens…why can't we stop it from happening?
Agreed the answer is 1 item, 1 bill.
But how many of us have sent our thoughts to any government official or agency? Complaining amongst ourselves won't get us very far.
Hello there, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!
Interesting reading. Wasn’t sure the feds had some money left to dole out.
