Congressional clunkers needs more budget, to host more townhalls …
“jump-start the classical music season and the national economy”
This has to be my favorite of all time. Going to a concert will surely revive the economy! SOOOO many people will purchase bottled water!

The Republicans need to be held just as responsible as the Democrats.
Tom Coburn needs to forget today's Pork Report and crawl all over the breaking ACORN story in Oklahoma.
Get out in front of it and take the lead. Drive that story right up the Capital steps……………..
I just read on Drudge this morning that we’re going to triple our financial aid to Pakistan…..isn’t that precious? Have these morons lost what’s left of their minds? Vote them all out ! Why are we sending money to other countries when we’re bankrupt? Can someone explain that to me?
This is disgusting! Did the Congress get their raise for frivolous things out of the stimulus?
WHEN IS THIS GROUP OF CRIMINALS GOING TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE?
I can think of several organizations that gave their employees substantial pay cuts instead of laying them off outright. At least one of them cut everyone's salary (from the CEO down) by 10%. Why can't congress do this? Actions speak louder than words. This kind of do-the-right-thing attitude would be great for votes.
will i live in the town of noma florida population 400. the mayor got a grant for a park ,which he has built next to the sewer plant. 90%of the people that live here have no kids. and if you could see what the mayors son has done at the park because he was the only one for the job. then you could see what $300,000 want do .
More examples of politicians imitating nature; hogs are very efficient at fattening themselves up on ACORNS.
80% of Boston's music festival funding = $50,000. C'mon, if this is the best the Pork Report can do….
It's a good festival, and that's a TINY amount of money for the feds. It's good classical music.
I'ts $50,000. And the reporter used the phrase, not the organizers of the festival.
If you actually read what's linked, maybe your posts would make more sense.
Everyone wants to know Who Is the American Police Force
Well here you go http://mywhitehouse.org/2009/09/30/who-is-america...
We need to vote in the primary elections and vote out every incumbent who has served 2 or more terms. Accountability in 2010 and in 2012.
I am so tired of the response "but it is just a TINY amount of money" – so buster, add that up for every city in the US that would deserve good classical music too and it's now a BIG amount of money. Use some common sense please.
Who are you talking to you Bart? And what difference would it make if it was the reporter? The point still is, how is that going to help the economy? So my question to you is what is objectionable about what I said?
When WE make them accountable. Until then all of the complaining in the world will fall on deaf ears. Only if you pick up the phone, write a letter or an email.
Can someone tell me why GM is spending 25 million on racing Corvettes? This is government money and the peoples money being spent on a frivolous sport . Someone is getting paid off!
I love racing but I can't stomach having tax payer money wasted on this junk. GM ignores private teams that are successful while they squander money on one factory funded team where drivers get paid a half million dollars to play at a hobbie
If you are a drug user you must connect with several medicare/medicaid riders to obtain an unending supply of hard drugs. We are paying for a visit to the Dr to get a prescrip and then paying for the drugs the Dr provided so the patient (phony) can sell the drugs on the street. An old ambulance medic knows and once knew the frequent flyers he hauled to the ER time and again with phony illnesses and the ER docs gave them drugs to get rid of them for a few days. So you pay for the ambulance ride, pay the Dr, and pay for the drugs of which most are sold on the street. Taxpayers bend over, no KY jelly provided as congress wants to put 20-30 million more criminal Mexicans on the dole. Hispanic/American is a joke in congress, there is nothing American about any of the so called Hispanic/Americans.
It's still $50, 000 that we don't have!!
