Bill Ayers and #OccupyHarrisburg

This is the second time I have covered Occupy Harrisburg.
Bill Ayers spoke at the Midtown Scholar Bookstore in Harrisburg, PA on December 14 at the invitation of the militant Occupy Harrisburg. I estimated between 100 and 200 people attended the event.
Eric Papenfuse owns the Midtown Scholar Bookstore. Papenfuse, a former public school teacher, previously invited Ayers to speak in south-central Pennsylvania in 2010. He wrote an OP-ED explaining why he did so and The Patriot-News published it, revealing his radical, anti-capitalist views.
I summarize the night in a list of bullet points in the following section but I don’t go into extremely thorough commentary because there is a bigger point here than Bill Ayers and Occupy Harrisburg.
One final note: I break this document into two parts: the first part contains the summarization of the event. The second part is where I discuss the bigger point than Bill Ayers and the anti-free-market Occupy Harrisburg. Those who wish for a shorter read may only wish to read the first part. . . .

Probably not too late to charge him. I think he wrote a book where he pretty much admitted it under the disguise of fiction. Also rumored to be Obama's ghost writer.
The only place Ayers should be allowed to speak is from behing bars within a federal, maximum security prison located in Somalia; and his wife, Bernardine Dohrn, should be in a similar cell. Why? I lived through his SDS and their weather underground days.
Hair, you posit that we need to stop writing and whining. That the time has come to act (i.e., do battle with the Left). True enough. However, the writing MUST also continue, and in this same vein because not enough people accept your all too accurate and utterly chilling conclusions.
The Fast and Furious case, Eric Holder's attack on voter ID laws, and now the National Defense Authorization Act leave no doubt that the United States government has turned against its own citizenry. I hope and pray next November finds us still able to cast our secure and legal vote for the candidate of our choice for the office of President of the United States. Every day I am less certain of that.

Exactly what different did Ayers do, than Jose Paddila? Not much, that I can see, except actually carry out some of his planned attacks. Where the HELL is Jose? Oops… guess Jose didn't have a wealthy influential father to drag him out of the fire.

No, that was his wife, Bernadette Dohrn. She did some time in the slammer.
But Ayers was also tried and released. According to Ayers himself, that was a mistake. He is famously quoted as publicly saying "Guilty as hell, free as a bird." Double jeopardy prevents his retrial, although he is admittedly guilty of conspiracy to commit murder.
He's currently teaching some of our children as a tenured Distinguished Professor at the University of Chicago.
Don't that just make your heart swell with pride in our justice system?

Which would fall in line with Rick Perry's idea that CONgress should be a part-time gig. I'm no supporter of Perry, but he does have a point. The buffoons could damn sure do less damage if they weren't in DC ten or so months out of the calendar year.
Most people who reach their political goal to become CONgressmen are from the top ten percent, maybe less, of self-motivated peeps. They are typically self-starters too, so naturally when they get to DC they feel the need to find a "cause", some problem to fix… They need to stay busy to feel as though they are earning their position, plus once there, they experience all the perks involved, and certainly don't want to risk losing those (immunity from insider trading laws, et.c.).
It's very hard to convince a person with their type of personality that we actually want them to CUT, or do NOTHING. They are problem-solvers by nature, and always fall into the trap that they can make things better… by tweaking this or that law. This has been going on for a hundred years, but has become so much worse since our government decided our republic was strong enough to withstand communism be openly advocated in the public square, which quickly migrated to the public education system. How much did Ayers & Dorn have to do with that is a serious issue we should delve deeply into.
If we are to continue with a public education system, methinks we need some restrictions, and serious oversight of classroom activity. Most large places of business nowadays monitor their employees with audio and vid equipment. Why should our schools be exempted from that? As teachers/ instructors they have no right to spend time privately with our youth, even in a group setting.

Has to be because parents pay very little attention to their childrens choices of college classes, especially after their Freshman year… Kids tend to share more about what they lack in order to achieve their degree, only in their last year of college. Poor me, I don't have the hours to graduate unless I take an extra class or two at night… never mentioning that pottery-making, women's studies, or jazzercize class they took, and flunked.

I just read Bill Hair's entire article and it sure is depressing. I tink he's right though.
While we are busy working and raising our children to be good citizens and attending polite Tea party rallies, the communist left had successfully implemented it's goals of complete destruction of American society.
The removal of all religion in the public venues has been key to their sucess. It is why the war on Christianity is so crucial to their work for without morality we a surely doomed as a nation and as a moral people.
My wife asked me last night why the left has gone after Tim Tebow like he's some kind of child molester. The fact is if he weere a child molester he would get a hell of a lot more respect from these people. Putting a postive spin on his love for Jesus, and possibly being a role model for children, horrifies the left and he must be (and will be) destroyed.
Look at what has happened to people like Sara Palin, Herman Cain, Michele Bachman and on and on.
As conservatives we need to take the fight out in public and stop being afraid of the labels of the left, racist, sexist, homophobes etc. I'm not suggesting we crap in the park at our next rally but we would probably get a lot more favorable press if we aligned ourselves with OWS or maybe killed a cop or something. Our Country finds itself in this condition because the "Ayers" and his ilk have utilized Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" community organizing techniques perfectly. They have used "incrementalism" to slowly infiltrate our schools, our governments and our courts and our media. While we were busy with our everyday lives, they were busy co-opting our Country. If you all have read this complete article, Paul Hair is correct that the "debate" is over. "It is time for us to play by the same rules."
H.L. Richardson (A former California State Senator) has written a book called "Confrontational Politics" that basically turns the "Rules for Radicalism" manual into a "Rules for Conservatism Response and Action" manual. This approach fits the tenets of the Tea Party movement in the fact that it gives Conservatives tools to use "incrementalism" to take back our Country.
With the advent of the New Media (i.e.: Breitbart, et al) and the Patriot groups that are becoming self aware we have a duty as concerned citizens to stop debating and to start acting. We need to get involved at the grassroots with our schools, local governments and state governments to meet the Alinsky types head on with our own "activism."
And I am a true believer in Santa Claus, elves, and the check is in the mail. Plus, I just found out I have won the Nigerian lottery without even entering.
