9/11 Is a Day of Mourning, Not Service
by Pamela GellerLast week, Barack Obama declared that September 11 is a day of service, and encouraged everyone to get in on it: “There are so many ways to get involved,” he said, “and every American can do something.” He added: “Even the smallest act of service, the simplest act of kindness, is a way to honor those we lost; a way to reclaim that spirit of unity that followed 9/11.”
True to his authoritarian leanings, Obama isn’t just hoping Americans get involved in this, either. Now schoolchildren are being indoctrinated, too.
Organizers of the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance and the educational organization Scholastic announced Monday that they were partnering in a new educational program that they said was “designed to help America’s children learn about 9/11 in a constructive, nonthreatening way and inspire them to participate in the 9/11 Day Observance through good deeds and charitable service.”
In a press release, the 9/11 Day of Service and Remembrance and Scholastic stated that “MyGoodDeed, a leading 9/11 nonprofit organization, and HandsOn Network, the volunteer activation division of Points of Light Institute, are co-leading the national effort to organize the single largest day of charitable service in U.S. history in observance of the 10-year anniversary of 9/11 in tribute to the victims and survivors, and the many who heroically rose in service in response to the tragedy.”
The calls for service on September 11 are inappropriate and sacrilegious. September 11 is a national day of mourning. It should not be a day of service, but of remembrance for those who died in a surprise military strike against the United States of America conducted by the military wing of the global jihad, resulting in the largest loss of life from domestic terrorism in American history.
Is Pearl Harbor a day of service? D-Day? This is wrong. September 11 is not about service; it is about honoring our war dead. This is deeply offensive. This is part of the relentless campaign to whitewash 9/11 and distract from the terrible reality of the day that forever changed this country.
This once again illustrates the huge void Obama has in his thinking. He cannot fake a love for his country, nor does it appear that he wants to. The man is missing a chip. This proclamation of 9/11 as a day of service comes from the same mindset that makes him so welcoming of efforts to force Americans to accommodate Islamic law – as I explain (and show how to resist) in my new book Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance.
September 11 is a day of mourning. Service? Any other day. Not on the tenth anniversary of September 11.
But my organization, the American Freedom Defensive Initiative (AFDI) is going to do what Obama should be doing: we’re going to honor the victims and rededicate ourselves to fighting for freedom on September 11 at West Broadway and Park Place at our 911 Freedom Rally. One 9/11 family member remarked: “I am looking forward to the rally. It is a place we can be free to really remember the who, why, when and where of 9/11. The morning ceremony” – that is, the official ceremony, from which clergy and 9/11 first responders – “is devoid of any meaning.”
The AFDI 911 Freedom Rally will feature 9/11 family members, including Rosaleen Tallon, sister of hero firefighter and reservist in the United States Marine Corps, Sean Tallon, who was killed in the 9/11 attacks; Sally Regenhard, mother of hero firefighter Christian Regenhard, also killed in the 911 attacks (Regenhard is an American activist who has become one of the leading voices for the families of the victims of the September); U. S. Ambassador to the United Nations John Bolton; German MP René Stadtkewitz leader of Germany’s Freedom Party, Dr. Arieh Eldad, former candidate for Prime Minister of Israel, Member of the Knesset; first responder Alan T. DeVona, the patrol sergeant on duty on September 11, 2001, as well as members of the clergy (a priest, a rabbi, a pastor, for the invocation) and the leading voices for freedom across America and the free world.
Other speakers include Anders Gravers, leader of SIOE and SIAD; Ezra Levant, TV anchor, newspaper columnist, author, founding publisher of the Western Standard magazine, the only Canadian media outlet to publish the Danish cartoons of Muhammad, and which will be livestreaming on SUN TV, Sudanese ex-slave and freedom fighter Simon Deng; the courageous ex-Muslim human rights activist Wafa Sultan; war hero and North Carolina Congressional candidate Ilario Pantano; William J. Murray, chairman of the Religious Freedom Coalition, popular radio host Joyce Kaufman; Helen Freedman, Americans for a Safe Israel; Darla Dawald, National Director of the Patriot Action Network; James Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Sharia Taskforce (VAST); Egyptian Coptic Christian activist Joseph Nassralla; Iraqi ex-Muslim Michael Paul; and others.
Robert Spencer and I will be hosting the rally, and that evening, we will also host a special screening of the groundbreaking film, The Ground Zero Mosque: The Second Wave of the 911 Attacks, at The Actor’s Temple Theater on 47th between 8th and 9th Avenues. RSVP to GroundZeroMosque@aol.com.
Please come to the 9/11 Freedom Rally, and bring everyone you can. Send notice about the Rally to everyone on your email lists. While the Obama minions are performing their empty acts of service, join us in restating our resolve to defend our freedom with our lives, our fortunes, and our sacred honor.

9/11/11 isn't about those who died. It's about the beautification of Barack Obama and Michael Bloomberg.
i disagree, we were attacked on 9/11 for being american. to remember those who lost thier life, why cannot we celebrate on that day in rememberance of them. no, i do not agree with a day of service, that is better associated with may day, and other socialist days. but why not have a drink in thier honor, wave the flag, watch a ball game, go to a parade? i am going to the pathways parade, my town's version of a founders day, there will be bands, picnics, parades, a carnival. that is how to remember them, for why we are great, not to cower in fear. and we should have rebuilt those towers by now, taller than before, not this silly freedom tower thingy.
Obama isn't a real man or a true American patriot. He thinks community service is the answer to all woes. The man is a stain on Old Glory, nothing more
So, the Dems and Obama were insisting how the Tea Party Terrorists were "hijacking" the party and the country. As I see it, Obama is trying to hijack the most devastating and tragic day on American soil to get away from what really happened: Radical Muslim Extremists attacked America killing almost 3,000 innocent people.
The man is EVIL – has NO heart nor soul.
Go Pam "You are judged by the strength of your enemies"
Wasn't Memorial Day a day of "service"?
Wasn't the 4th of July a day of "service"?
Wasn't Labor Day a day of "service"???!??!?
Are Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Years going to be "days of service" too????
Day of mourning?
Not for those who enjoyed the outcome. Right Mr. President?
Remember Earth Hour? It was totally hyped in 2007. Everyone turn off your lights for one hour.
You don't hear much about it these days.
Why? Because it revealed all the millions of people who don't buy the green agenda or just don't care. And it's pretty obvious when you drive by all those houses with the TV going and the lights burning. It's hard to hide from that reality.
It becomes a negative rather than a plus for the organizers.
Let's hope this campaign backfires on the Community Organizer.
I believe that on Tuesday, April 21, 2009, President Barack Obama signed into law the Edward M. Kennedy Serve America Act, which for the first time includes federal authorization to establish September 11 as an annually recognized National Day of Service and Remembrance–NEVER!!!
Sept 11 will never ever be a day of service for me/my family–this act was nothing more than a whitewashing by the Obama Administration/Dems to not have to acknowledge what really happened–probably learned that from Rev. Wright!
God bless all those who died, their families and friends who still mourn their memories and our country, who needs God's blessing/help now more than ever.
Thank you as always Ms. Geller for your insightful articles.
Did you mean "beautification" or "beatification" of BHO/MB? Either way–ain't gonna happen–ever!
If Obama really wanted to do a great service for the country, he would resign. No, I ain't holding my breath. I'll be remembering that is was a bunch of stinky muslims that murdered 3,000 of my countrymen in the name of some craptastic thug political doctrine masquerading as a religion, and stinky muslims around the world cheered as those buildings fell. I get pissed off thinking about it now.
I don't see how performing service is a necessarily bad way to honor those who died that day and reflect on our common bonds as Americans.
Kiss my @ss Obama you make me want to puke ! National day of service bullcrap . Its is a day where Muslims like you Mr Barack Hussein Obama killed thousands of innocent victims and now your here to finish off the rest of America
If you believe this, I hope you're too lazy to vote.
Do you actively perform "service" on the anniversary of the death of any of your family as a way to remember them? I certainly don't treat any of those days as a day of "service." I see no reason why a country would respond to such a horrific event as 9/11 with "service."
As for it being a day of mourning: really? Remembrance and mourning aren't the same things. I know people who died that day. I know women who lost husbands, parents who lost children, children who lost parents. Most of them aren't mourning any longer (ten years is a long, long time to mourn…)
Again, if we truly believe that we were attacked because of our Americanness, then why is spending the day serving our communities or the needy such a terrible way to honor the departed?
believe what? are you saying that radical muslims didn't fly into the towers? or, that obama isn't a muslim?
I am personally of the opinion that Obama is an atheist who joined a church for social reasons. Obviously I know who flew into the towers.
If I choose to fine! But aranging for my kids to do service because Oblabla and a bunch of comunity organizers want to show compasion? And compasion to whom?
No, but now that I think about it it really isn't such a bad idea. What better way to cherish the memory of a loved one than to do something positive in their memory?
Serious question: do the people who comment on Big Government not believe that voluntary community service is a good thing?
This is the sheeplization of our children. They twist this horrible event into "A teaching moment" and wash over what actually happened and even more importantly why it happened! They hate us for our freedom, they hate us for our prosperity, they hate us because we refuse to conform to their beliefs. The comunity organizer and chief wants to change all that so we can be one big happy world.
ABBO 2012!
Come on 2012!
Wonder why Chairman O doesn't get his pal Rev. Wright to explain that 9/11 was just America's chickens coming home to roost? Oh, and the Reverend can explain also how it's not God bless America, it's God D*** America!
Oh wait, it wouldn't be good politics for Chairman O to be seen as he actually is. Jeez, I plumb forgot.
Perhaps you would do the cause proud by leading by example then — and I'm entirely serious about that. If you really live that way, that's one thing then to advocate it (even if I disagree with it), but if you don't live that way personally, it seems strange to advocate it as a good idea for a national tragedy. Besides, I don't really believe President Obama's intent is to have people simply do good; this is a political thing in my opinion that doesn't even completely make sense. As pointed out in the article, there isn't much of a precedent for making days of destruction into days of "service."
In answer to your last question, conservatives donate to charity at numbers that exceed liberals. Given that most people who comment here are right of center (in at least as much as I read), I would say they probably think different forms of charity are excellent — at least more than most liberals do. Given this, you should rethink the opposition to the President's goal here; it's not likely borne out of a desire to be anti-charity.
Meaning you want President Obama to receive a net gain of one more vote? If so, may I extend the same wish that you, yourself, are too lazy to vote?
actually it wasn't that obvious but ok got it.
This alleged day of service is also a means to distract one from the truth of the 09/11 attacks and those who were responsible for it.
Yep, and some of the greenies are the worst offenders. One example is Al Gore. Remember, if the administration were truly serious about conservation of energy, the majority of lights in all federal buildings would be turned off nightly.
I don't know if he has a political agenda here – his shtick has always been about service, the community, etc. I just genuinely think that this could be a good way to remember and memorialize 9/11.
Also, I don't think opposition is borne from anti-charitable feelings: I think it's borne strictly from anti-Obama feelings. Had a Republican proposed this idea I am sure it would have been embraced here and mocked on left wing websites. That's simply the state of play.
I don't think Obama has much of a chance in the general election. My focus is on the Republican primary, but I cede the point.
This service thingy is nothing more than a way to distract people's attention from really happened on 09/11.
Are you for real? I lost friends over 40 years ago in a country far away, and to this day remember them and mourn their loss.
09/11 is a day that will live in infamy, and I intend to treat it with the same respect I give to the gallant heroes who have given their all in the service of their country or for mankind. I will never forget them long as I walk upon this mud ball.
A sh*t stain at that.
BoBo
Please go back and read the headline of this message. Do not read anything below the By Line. I would say most of us here, basically conservative, go the extra mile of service to our country, . When it's time it might be you who says: "Let's Roll!" the ultimate in 'service'. Let's remember!
September 11, 2001 . . .
September 2, 2010
Dear President Obama,
Part of my life I spent as a photographer. One of the subjects I photographed was the World Trade Center. I loved that place. Every chance I got I wanted to get up to the top of the world and shoot photos and cavort with my friends. I can’t describe what it is, was, like to view the world from that high up, feel the wind, the crisp air, peer into an azure blue and endless sky, and have so much of the this great nation in ones view. I was so nuts about the place I photographed the lobby. Who takes pictures of a lobby? With no one in it? I do. What caught my eye was the flags of all the countries along the walls, and those massive arcing windows just below them. I did it all in black and white, and when I look at those photos now I see a ghost of myself, and this nation. I see what this nation once was, and will be again. Bigger and better than before. As Americans we have earned the right to dream bigger, and build better, than any nation on the planet, it never ceases to amaze me what a free people can accomplish on a voluntary basis. We did not build one of the tallest buildings – we built two of ‘em!
Shortly we will honor those souls who were lost on September 11, 2001. We do this to commemorate the countryman and women we lost, and to thank those who gave their last breath, and their lives, to save people they have never met. Some succeeded, others died as heros to forever rest on Gods’ shoulders; for who would God want more to keep him company for eternity then a few NYPD firefighters and cops! There’s no more pleasant a sound then to listen to a cop and a firefighter yak about absolutely nothing. On that day, Islamic Militants boarded planes, and made a conscious and calculated decision to kill my fellow Americans, and the day after, America, dusted herself off, and went to work facing an enemy that we had pointed lawyers and judges at, and not bullets and bombs, that failure and miscalculation caused that day, President Clinton cashing the peace dividend on the backs of our national defense, and our intelligence efforts caused that day, failing to pull the trigger on Osama caused that day, weakness in the face of evil caused that day . . . but on September 12, 2001 we didn’t care the cause, we all wanted to go to war to keep that day from happening again. Then, President Bush climbed onto hollowed ground and validated our desire and need to kick some tail. When a foreign enemy hits us, we hit ‘em back and when they fall we get the next guy, and the next guy, until the rest of ‘em decide to quit. We know that day has arrived when the next guy decides to pick a plow share, and not a suicide belt – that day, unfortunately, is not today.
At some point something went awry. I’m betting that the notion of proportional response crawled into our leaders minds, and the geopolitical ramifications of this or that counter-attack on what ever country that gave rise to this brand of evil, and then we committed the greatest sin of listening to those voices – even giving them merit. Some of the purveyors of those voices are now leading this nation, in fighting for the enemy politically, they won, and now they are giving those same men and women fighting for this nation their orders – ponder that for a moment. That occurred because the purveyors of those voices had a more than willing far left wing media to amplify them, and tell us that our rage was nothing more than “islamophobia.” Sound familiar? As I write these words islamic militants are planning their next attack, while our President blindly seeks peace with those same people. Do you trust a person who says one thing to one person, and something else to another? Why should we as a nation do that?
On November 6, 2012 we will be asked to render a judgment, and select a new leader who is willing to make tough economic calls based on common sense that we all know in our hearts to be true, and make difficult choices, rapidly, under immense political and emotional strain. While simultaneously resisting the strong desire to prosecute President Obama and his administration for their failures – I think we have had enough of that. Our failed spend first borrow more and open hand foreign policy is a sign of weakness, and stupidity, that our enemies are relying on, and our friends now use as a basis for their mistrust – I don’t blame them. If a murderer came into my home and I gave them access to my bedroom and my children, I have only myself to blame for not being prepared to meet that challenge. Well, ladies and gentleman, we have challenges ahead, we need politicians who will meet them, head on, with enough force to not only check, and reverse the spread of socialism, if not communism, but to have the stomach to fight evil without remorse so the next guy decides that it is not worth the trouble.
You numb nuts in Washington DC may own the clocks, but we’ve got the time, and on November 6, 2012 – times up baby.
Joe Doakes
ps. In a few weeks I will post my photos on my blog.
I serve God, not 0bama.
Another great article of truth by Pam Geller…here is another on her take of Bilderberg Perry's radical Islamic ties…
http://www.americanthinker.com/2011/08/perrys_pro...
Keep up the good work…the truths will set us all free…thank you!
Will the children be told that 19 Islamic jihadists hopped on some airplanes full of people and then proceeded to run them into buildings?
Because we know that Obama is trying to train the youth of America to forget what the muslim community did to American civilians on 11 September 2001. I say muslim community because they were dancing in the streets in the Islamic communities around the world when they heard about the 9/11 attacks.
Bloomberg won't allow any reverends at the 9/11 memorial.
Amen!
One of the better ones Joe.
Well said.
Check back for the photos. They will put a chill in your spine.
I'm not rubbing your lobes . . .
No, Joe, That's what the wife is for.
Obama believes in the God of Government . . .
September 19, 2010
Dear President Obama,
I read that you went to church, on Sunday no less, without Reverend Wright. If you are trying to find religion things must be worse then even I think they are. Well, I’ve always said a little religion is a good thing, but in your case it just looks fake, kind of like when you play golf. You don’t believe in God. You believe in the God of Government. With the first commandment being “Thou shalt pay confiscatory taxes such that resting on the Sabbath is not even an option.” Now that the riff raff have been kicked out of the private school, I guess that whole charity thing is shot too. Maybe, if you say “Hope and Change” a few times you might convince those kids that they are suffering for you, and their sacrifice to the God of Government will not be in vein.
Let’s get back to the Government God, the protector and defender of all that is graft and collusion. I’ve got to hand it to all of you and especially Blagojevich, I am impressed, not only have you committed rape, and pillage upon “We The People,” but some of them thank you for it, they even get on a bus, and spit on people I really respect for you as you put in place the very plans that will destroy them. That’s really impressive, Bernie Maddoff, has nothing on all of you. The lot of you could screw a hooker and convince her to pay for it! Now, your God of Government is upset with you Mr. Obama, and frankly, while I may be impressed, he is not.
Why is this so? For one thing The United States of America is still here, chugging along with all the accumulated dead weight that liberal democrats have heaved upon her. Government God is also upset that the people still have a voice, he doesn’t like that. You, as his surrogate, should stop all free speech immediately; tell Kathleen Sebelious to issue another communiqué threatening the CEO’s of insurance companies with summary execution unless they place the blame for higher premiums on those that truly deserve it; breast cancer patients, and further, that it is wholly unsatisfactory that they should live another day – The God of Government commands it to you Mr. Obama, you will obey.
The bigger cheese is likely also upset at the Godless turn of events in God’s country. “I am the Lord your God . . . You shall have no other God’s before me.” Boy, have you screwed that one up. I imagine that is a big one with the man upstairs. You see, God works his will through the faithful, and not those like yourself who pray to false Gods and bear false witness on a daily basis – you don’t even know what the truth is anymore. Hell, they even got you thinking you fight “terrorists” by killing one side of the same Arab coin. Whose the fool Barrak, you, or me? Don’t answer that, we know the answer.
Well in 44 days the God of Government is going to have another problem. “We The People” are going into those polls, and we are going to fire the first shots in the shape of ballots at your Government God, and we are going to put God back where He belongs. If this crop of politicians falls for the God of Government, we will just do it all again, we will be relentless, “we will not weaken or tire,” we were given the tools by our founding fathers and we have deployed them against you to good affect. Remember, it only takes one person to shut the whole freak show down. I cannot wait to see the curtain come down on the latest installment of liberalism run amok, I have to say, the sequel was worse than the original. Roll credits . . .
Respectfully,
Joe Doakes
On 9/11, a nearby town is having a big bash and fundraiser for its Honor Flight vets, who'll be flying to DC on Sunday to visit the WWII Memorial. I can't think of a better way to spend 9/11 (except to be at Ground Zero, praying loudly).
Friends of the left….and barry.
I have no bond, common or otherwise with a leftist traitor who wraps itself in the flag or language or calls itself an American whatever to aid its goal of destroying the USA.
Excellent! +100!
Mine will. Many times a year, but especially on the anniversary of that mournful day.
What am I doing on 9/11? Watching baseball and eating pork hot dogs. With my left hand. While facing east.
Then…shopping.
Screw the bad guys – America still stands.
We were attacked. Harmed? Certainly.
Defeated and enslaved? Not by a long shot, Bub.
9/11 is a day of remembrance; to remember, to never forgive or forget that 3000 innocent souls were murdered by Muslims. Americans learned on 9/11 all they needed to know about the sick cult of Islam, Muslims and the Koran.
Day of service?
Sounds good. We should combine the day of service with "see something, say something".
Go out and rat on your local Islamist. Now that would be a service…
yeah, hes a broken record..his needle dulled by too many hits of coke and weed
yeah lets all go to the ground zero mosque and clean their windows…WITH ROCKS
So you admit his supposed Christianity is nothing but a pander for votes? Gee, I thought only those fundie Repubs did that.
It's not an admission, it's speculation. I don't profess to know what Obama actually believes.
Obama's calls to community service are something I could get behind if he weren't simultaneously mugging those who don't support him to line the pockets of those who do. But from him, words like "community" and "service" are meaningless.
And you're right about the greater point. Planes were flown into the WTC 10 years ago solely because we do not bow to Allah. And we should never forget that.
Allow me to do some speculation of my own: Whatever god Obama worships aint no god of mine. This man's idea of spiritual counsel is Jeremiah Wright and Calypso Louie so whatever deity he prays is Satan as far as I'm concerned.
The One has a LOT of nerve telling us to be kind to one another. He considers half the country to be his enemy and his VP pronounced us to be terrorists.
My service has already begun. My service is ensuring America does not have to suffer this fool after Jan 2013.
I think I understand where you're coming from about doing service vs. mourning. When we're upset about something terrible that is happening or has happened, usually we want to do something to make it better. Someone is convulsing on the floor? Call 911! Someone's already on the phone with 911? Oh crap, what do I do, I have to do SOMETHING!
When the terrible thing is in the past but was not resolved, we do charity walks and set up funds. We may work until we drop because it helps us keep our minds off of it.
But sometimes, what we really need is to mourn. On 9/11/11, whatever we choose to do, let's not distract ourselves from our emotions. It may have been ten years ago, but there's something about seeing the date come around on the calendar again, feeling the new chill in the air at night as summer fades, watching the kids go back to school or going back yourself – all these things trigger emotional memories. Anyone who's old enough to remember 9/11/01 experienced something bad that day, and we're probably going to feel echoes of it on this year's 9/11. We don't need to wear all black and gaze at our feet all day, and we shouldn't intensify our feelings by worrying about them – let's all just be supportive of and kind to each other, because, ten years ago, all of us had a really f*cking crappy day. For some, it will always be the worst day of their lives. "Service" is good but no substitute for reflection or healing.
He's not evil, but he is a shallow a$$hat and pathetic toolbag. He's not particularly practiced in deep thought or sincerity, that much is obvious.
Not even reverends who are on the other side? LOL
Good point, ReaderRedux!
NYC has a Pagan mayor who hates God and anything related to God. He is a midget with an inferiority complex. If he had a mustache, he would easily be recognized.
I am sure that this Pagan mayor privately supports what Satan's little helpers did on 9/11. I can see him giving Beelzebub the high-five.
Yes, but we'll always have Ramadan!
His schtick is about promoting himself and elevating his stature in life, inclusive of all the goodies that go with it.
Interesting. Who do you favor there and why?
I understand where you're coming from, but consider for a moment how the left wanted all imagery from 9/11 cleansed from the airwaves, especially around election time. Such imagery conjures up strong feelings of patriotism which typically draw people to the GOP. Indeed, Bush probably never would've been re-elected if it weren't for 9/11. Who wants an appeasing, limp-wristed liberal Democrat in charge when the nation's at war? So Obama's campaign to turn 9/11 into a "National Day of Service" is merely a ploy to strip 9/11 of all its meaning and transform it into a leftist holiday dedicated to collectivism and state worship.
You can also see him supporting the Ground Zero Mosque, its intent to introduce Sharia Law to America. After all, he does business in Dubai.
More likely to get cancelled all together if he is re-elected.
10 years have passed and what has happened here? The liberals are in control and want the name of the Freedom Tower changed. No heroes from the first responder classes may attend. No clergy may attend. NYC and Obama will fund the Ground Zero Mosque but we can't call Ground Zero by its name any more. The Greek Orthodox cannot rebuild their church in the same spot. Obama closes NASA to destroy a massive brain trust and 30,000 jobs so he can spend the money for Muslim outreach. So 9/11 has become debased by leftists who expect us to idolize Obama and Bloomberg. I think not. If anything this country has gone down hill since 2001 because the ignorant liberals are in charge. These two men personify what is wrong with ever letting liberals be in control of anything. They only know how to destroy and are never satisfied. I am ashamed so many Americans born with the best opportunity on the planet could despise our country so much and shred it when they take charge. Kudos to Pamela for helping teach America that we are at war with Islam as is Europe. Take a stand or lose our liberty.
The good part is that many thousands of those cheering mohammadans are now dead, killed by us, AND that, in exchange for 2 buildings, we destroyed 2 of their countries, so far.
It is terrible because the stinking mohammadan-in-chief proposed it!
I hadn't connected the 2 until this article, but the United Methodist church–at least mine–is also making 9/11 a day of service in the community. Just another indicator it has been taken over by libs….
Not related to the ACTUAL question of propriety of such an action related to a tragedy.
Strawman question from a low IQ libtroll.
I think you are onto something big with that CTT and why not rat on those illegal aliens while we're at it. Now THAT'S PATRIOTISM! Mexicans have two independence days why not us, I have thought that Americans should celebrate cinco de mayo by repatriating as many illegals as possible. On 9.11 we can repatriate muzzies!
We missed a chance on Labor day. We could have repatriated anchor babies…
We will on 11.6.2012 if we do our jobs.
It will be nice to do something selfless for others this Sunday.
Here's a poem I'd like to share with you all.
10 years Have Passed
10 years have passed, since 9/11,
10 years they've rested, up in heaven,
10 years of pain, with sorrow we've cried,
10 years ago, countless loved ones have died.

"Inspired by the heroic sacrifices of our firefighters, rescue and law enforcement personnel, military service members, and other citizens, our Nation found unity, focus, and strength … Americans also have fought back against terror by choosing to overcome evil with good. By loving their neighbors as they would like to be loved, countless citizens have answered the call to help others. They have contributed to relief efforts, improved homeland security in their communities, and volunteered their time to aid those in need. This spirit of service continues to grow as thousands have joined the newly established USA Freedom Corps, committing themselves to changing America one heart at a time through the momentum of millions of acts of decency and kindness." 'NOW, THEREFORE, I, BARACK OBAMA, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim September 11, 2010, as Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance. I call upon all departments, agencies, and instrumentalities of the United States to display the flag of the United States at half-staff on Patriot Day and National Day of Service and Remembrance in honor of the individuals who lost their lives on September 11, 2001. I invite the Governors of the United States and the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and interested organizations and individuals to join in this observance. I call upon the people of the United States to participate in community service in honor of those our Nation lost, to observe this day with appropriate ceremonies and activities, including remembrance services, and to observe a moment of silence beginning at 8:46 a.m. eastern daylight time to honor the innocent victims who perished as a result of the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001.'
