Times Square and Jihad Denial
by Pamela GellerI finally got out and about – a beautiful Saturday night in New York City — and I had to bolt home. Times Square was evacuated, emptied of tourists, as police officers and firefighters closed the area because of a car bomb – bomb materials found in an SUV.
The SUV was filled with propane tanks, fireworks, filled gas cans, clocks with batteries, and two clocks with batteries, electric wire and more. A police official said: “It looks as if the perp was trying to light it up, and was interrupted by the cops, panicked and took off. It looked like someone tried to detonate it and we got to it in time. This is a big deal. It has the makings of a real car bomb.” A police officer who was on the scene said: “I did a lap around the vehicle. The inside was smoking. I smelled gunpowder and knew it might blow. I thought it might blow any second.”
Despite all that, the feds said at first that it wasn’t a terrorist attack. Then what was it?
That line was so absurd in this case that they had to change their tune, and fast. Now New York Governor Paterson and even DHS Secretary Janet “Nudnik” Napolitano are saying it was a terrorist attack attempt. Said Napolitano: “We’re taking this very seriously. We’re treating it as if it could be a potential terrorist attack.” But everyone was saying that they had no idea who was behind it. Police are now searching for a “white man” – a search the mainstream media is playing up big, hoping that the terrorist will turn out to be a non-Muslim. As if there are no white Muslims! Tell that to the North Carolina jihadis arrested last year.
But for Barack Obama and his gang there are no jihadis at all. Granny at the Tea Party is the real terrorist threat as far as they’re concerned.
The mainstream media also at first dismissed the gravity of the failed Times Square bomb as “amateurish.” Many headlines led with this angle. This, yet again, reflected the nonsensical and lethal “logic” of our news gatherers. It was ridiculous on its face. Saturday night in Times Square is teeming with humanity. Thousands of people could have been hurt, many killed, and now officials are admitting that: New York police commissioner Ray Kelly said, “If this had detonated, it would have caused casualties, a significant fireball, and would have ripped the vehicle in half.”
Bloomberg said there was no evidence that the bomber was affiliated with any terrorist organizations. How does he know that? Let’s assume for a moment that this car bomb was Islamic jihad. Whether the bomber was loosely tied to an organization or was a lone jihadi, what’s the difference if the motivation was the same? How many soldiers of Allah (a moniker on Fort Hood’s jihadist Major Nidal Hasan business card) are playing with bombs in their basements right now, and have nothing to do with al-Qaeda or the Taliban?
Even worse, their motivation is indirectly sanctioned by the Obama administration, by its silence and refusal to address (or even speak of) Islamic jihad. Has Obama apologized for the theater district yet, or has he written another big fat check to Pakistan or the Palestinian Authority or some other jihad-supporting entity?
Also, if this was a jihad attack, watch for another round of mainstream media excusing and denying the role of the Koran’s teachings of violence. Every time there is an Islamic attack on America, Islam advances. America recedes. Whenever Americans are murdered, shot in the back, attacked in any way by jihadists, and CAIR gets a platform on FOX, Ibrahim Hooper or MPAC gets a shout out on O’Reilly, and we bend a little bit more to Islam, while Muslims admonish Americans about a potential backlash.
Whether the car bomb in Times Square was a jihad attack or not, this evasion is setting the stage for rivers of blood. The more you appease, the more horrific the end result will be. If Hitler had been stopped at Czechoslovakia, think of all the incomprehensible bloodshed and loss of life that would have been avoided. The more you give in to evil, the greater the consequences will ultimately be. Evil has no depth, no bottom.
Yet we can be sure that if a jihad connection is found, the mainstream media will mention it only long enough to explain it away. It’s inexcusable.

I believe that this potentially could be a jihad attack, and this administration would be foolish not to at least consider the possibility. I also agree that if a jihad connection is found, and the MSM tries to explain it away, that would be inexcusable.
I think you are using the term "terrorism" as synonymous with "islamic terrorism", which is a mistake, and one a lot of people, particularly in the right wing, make. There are other kinds of terrorism. The reason that people trip over themselves as to whether something is "terrorism" or not is not that there is any doubt that something is terrorism, but that there is doubt that it is Islamic terrorism. Until the guy is caught, there seems little evidence of who he is or his motivation. You seem to be faulting the media for not rushing to a conclusion without evidence.
Watch O'bambi use this latest phase of terrorism and the spill in the Gulf to justify and make his case for the Civilian Corp "as well funded as the U.S. Military. He sits on his hands until the spill gets out of control and then multiple states ask for Federal activation of Nation Guard troops for the clean-up.

I'm not sure it matters what the reason is behind this. It is a terrorist attack. It is meant to strike terror in the hearts of the people of the U.S. If it can happen in NY, it can happen anywhere. If not terrorism, than what is it? It was not meant to strike a single individual, a lone target. It was meant for maximum casualties. That is terrorism, plain and simple. Yes, Obama is President: but guess what, the world still hates us. I think they actually think we are weaker now than at any time in our history. What better time to attack? When you victim is at their weakest. I certainly hope that the administration opens their eyes and realizes that we as Americans are vulnerable. Our Commander in Chief needs to act like one. Stop apologizing, start defending our Nation and our LEGAL Citizens.

Problems, moving foward:
i) This has been played to death, but frankly, so what: Why did we not wait to assign blame in the Henry Louis Gates incident? Why did we not wait longer and find out more what the undercover operative could unveil about those 'secessionists' in Michigan who were brought into custody? Why were we instructed to be so very, very cautious before we connected the Ft Hood shootings conducted by a Muslim with a radical past to terrorism?
ii) We are conspicuously asked to hold judgment when not only threats abound, but incidents and active attempts take place……we are asked to hold judgment and not assign responsibility (to Islamists or Jihadis). We ARE asked to look at tea'ers as a threat to our government; when there have been no substantiated threats or attempts of attack.
iii) We are told not to stereotype. Not assign blame to all Muslims for the strife, hatred and violence their cousins in the Islamist branch of the family tree produce. We ARE asked to collectively categorize ALL tea'ers as middle-aged, wealthy and white racists who hate having a black president and want poor people to suffer.

iv) We are instructed that it is in our best interest as a human race to send our money to poorer nations, to stop living in large homes, to cut down on our 'carbon' footprints and to accept the 'science we are shown. We are told this by people who buy huge homes and make tons of money and disregard dissent.
v) We are told that those who would prefer to see the government (ANY govt: state, local, fed) enforce the mandated laws governing legal entry into our Nation are racist. We are told that if you believe that laws are something to be enforced; you hate Latinos. We are also told that it is Patriotic to pay taxes, its the law and as good citizens we should smile and pay our 'fair' share. Last year a criminal reproduced my business checks. They used 1 day UPS delivery and sent large sums ($3,800) per check to their victims. The persons who received the checks thought they were doing the "secret shopper" program. They were told to go cash the checks and within 24 hours, wire the funds through Western Union to the person on an e-mail they received. They were allowed to keep $300.00 for their efforts and for writing about their experience with Western Union. Of course the checks were fraudulent. The names of the persons picking up the funds were…..wait for it….middle eastern. We posted a fraud alert on our website. Western Union wouldn't do anything for those people who had checks bounce after they used their own cash to wire to the criminal funds, they said they have no way to police this scam. I wonder….how are the terrorists funding their efforts! Answer: with our money.
