American business, the motor of the global economy, was dealt a deathblow by the Marxist putsch that the Democrat Party delivered in the form of the healthcare bill. Why wasn’t this made public before the vote? The numbers are staggering. It was revealed Friday that AT&T, the largest telephone company in the country, will take a one-billion-dollar hit in the current quarter as a result of this economic attack on America. The farm-equipment company Deere is looking at $150 million in new healthcare-related charges this quarter, and Caterpillar is facing $100 million.
Who do you think will pay for this? We will pay. According to Reuters, “Verizon Communications, the second biggest U.S. phone company, told employees that tax burdens under the new law would likely filter down to employees.” Business is not something in the abstract, or the evil force the leftists and the communists deceptively smear it to be — business is work, business is people, it is jobs, it is production. When business pays, we pay. Jobs pay. Consumers pay.
And we will pay for more than that as well. Have you seen the commercials yet for people who have maxed out their credit cards, and have loans over ten thousand that they can’t pay back, urging them to apply for stimulus dollars? Are you one of those who played by the rules, worked hard, did the right thing? If so, you’re screwed. The man has you and your wallet and your kids’ wallet by the throat. Welcome to the era of the degenerate: they will be sucking your blood and your children’s blood and your children’s children’s blood for decades to come, or however long America lasts.
Notice how Obama bad news always drops on Friday nights. But the Democrats will not forever be able to keep quiet the reality and the consequences of Obama rule.
Meanwhile, as the health care putsch continues, the world goes to hell in handbasket. The sinking of the South Korean warship near the North Korean border Friday was almost certainly an act of war, even as South Korean officials played down that possibility. Nonetheless, it reeks of the North Koreans. North Korea never would have pulled something like this under Bush. Never. But they know Obama will do nothing and that South Korea is on her own. Barack Hussein Obama ain’t Harry S Truman.
With Obama at the helm, expect hell to break loose. Iranian nukes? Yawn. Pakistan jihadis with nukes? Crickets chirping. Abandonment of Israel? Check! Socializing healthcare? Job 1!
And as they take over seventeen percent of the American economy, how cocky the Democrats are — full of contempt for the hard-working American. In order to fund Obama’s counter-insurgency in America, the enemy must be cut off of supplies, succor and support. And who is the enemy? He is us. The U.S. commander in Afghanistan, Army Gen. Stanley McChrystal, has ordered the closing of numerous fast-food outlets on bases. Command Sgt. Maj. Michael T. Hall explained that “some of the morale, welfare and recreation facilities throughout Afghanistan” for troops would be cut: “In the coming weeks and months, concessions such as Orange Julius, Burger King, Pizza Hut, Dairy Queen and Military Car Sales will close their doors.”
Trillions on the backs of our kids, but no cheezboigers for the troops. But there is plenty of money for Kobe steaks for King O. Date nights in Manhattan with Michelle for a million. $600 sneakers for her as well. And remember that taxpayers footed the $101,000 bill for in-flight parties on Air Force jets arranged by Nancy Pelosi: according to journalist Bob Unruh at WorldNetDaily, “it reads like a dream order for some wild frat party: Maker’s Mark whiskey, Courvoisier cognac, Johnny Walker Red scotch, Grey Goose vodka, E&J brandy, Bailey’s Irish Crème, Bacardi Light rum, Jim Beam whiskey, Beefeater gin, Dewars scotch, Bombay Sapphire gin, Jack Daniels whiskey … and Corona beer.”
This is so off the charts. There is no decency on the left. They are hypocrites who are destroying American businesses and stealing from hard-working, struggling Americans.
Could the parties be more different, the differences more stark? Say what you will about the Republicans, but they were disciplined. The Democrats are increasingly fascist in their tactics, statist in their policy, anti-Israel, anti-America, and anti-military. The Republicans are pro-small government, pro-Israel, pro-individual rights, pro-business, pro-America.
I don’t know how any clear-thinking, rational, decent human being could vote in November 2010 for the corrupt statist collectivists.

I agree with everything you say, but since when have the Republican's been pro-small government, pro-individual rights. It was on their watch that they passed the Patriot Act on a knee-jerk reaction and it was on their watch that they started this whole big government push and bailouts. Don't get me wrong! Obama has done this and more, but I don't buy for a moment that this recent surge in Republican small government has anything more to do than political expediency.
Those who voted for Obama (and I didn't) voted for him because of what he promised. Hope, change, inclusion, reason, moderation, etc. When he got to office he did the Machiavellian thing and did what he wanted to do, ignoring all of his campaign promised. This recent uptick of Yay Small Government! Repeal the Bill! smacks of nothing more of the same. The Republican and Democratic Parties are both "catch all – parties." They'll both say what they can to garner as many supporters as they can.
I fully stand behind and agree with everything the Republican party is putting out nowadays, but I don't for a minute believe that they'll Repeal the Bill or Lessen Government. They'll do the same thing that Obama did, ignore all of their campaign promises and reestablish themselves to power.

Once again, a smear by the wingnuts. These taxes relate to the medicare subsidies these companies receive. Under the current law, a company who paid medicare drug costs received a 28% subsidy from the government for every dollar paid. However, they were able to write off 100% of the costs, even though they received the 28%. I guess in her world it is fine for a company to deduct and expense, event though they receive compensation for a portion of it. At least she got one thing right, there is no such thing as a free lunch. So who does she think is picking up the tab for the uninsured? Hmmm. Santa Claus or the Easter Bunny? No. It is the insured and Uncle Sam.

If you think dealing with the bureaucracy of Medicaid, Medicare and the VA is a nightmare, Obamacare will cause blood to shoot out of your eyes, with thousands of rules and regulations no one understands or knows how to implement. Billions of tax dollars will be wasted trying to administer a massive entitlement program that could have been spent on healthcare for folks who need it. Welcome to Obamacare and enjoy!

I think you're a little mislead concerning two things, one being the GOP. Aside from Ron Paul and a few others, they are not the party of small government they claim to be. Only when compared to the Democrats do they seem not so bad, and therein lies the problem. Indeed, George W. Bush was the most profligate spending president in American history until this lunatic came along. But, I've been more impressed with the party lately than I have been in years, I will say that. The other slight disagreement I have is over the North Koreans. There were quite a few incidents of belligerence from them during the Bush years (the July 4th missile test in '06 comes to mind). Furthermore, it is all a moot point as China has a firm grip over Kim, and it is they who keep Kim in line. The Chinese are evil, but they are not fools, and I seriously doubt the nuclear destruction of an important trade partner in South Korea is in Chinese interests.
Otherwise, your article is spot on, and I thank you for writing it. Communism has come to the United States. In fact, it could be argued the U.S. is now more communist than China is. China, while still statist and tyrannical, continues to embrace capitalism even as America's leaders embrace Mao. And as much as Obama is destroying capitalism, he has an astonishing amount of corporate support, which really baffles the mind … until one discovers mindset of these elitists who run America, that is. After all, it is corporate globalization that has sent far too many good paying American jobs overseas during the past two decades. Who do you think is going to pick up the tab for the uninsured now that Obamacare is the law of the land? The insured and Uncle Sam, i.e., the taxpayers. Does it occur to anyone that it would cost less to pay for the healthcare of those who need it rather than pay for their health insurance and then pay for their healthcare on top of it? People who can't afford to buy their own insurance can't afford co-pays and deductibles and non-covered healthcare expenses. Health insurance companies won't be able to absord all the additional costs and risk the government is forcing on them, so premiums will rise, insurance companies will go out of business and we'll eventually get to the single-payer system Democrats want, at which point taxpayers will fund the whole enchilada. And when the system runs out of money, like it has in Massachusetts, who's going to bail out the U.S. taxpayers?

I hate to tell you this but lots of folks who pay no taxes get refund checks……..I'm self employed & my wife was injured & left a quadrapalegic 10 years ago. I do pay my social security when I do the income taxes yearly, but it is usually taken out of the refund. Granted I don't make much as I have to stay home & care for her.
You'd think in order to get a "refund" you would have to actually pay something in over the year……not so.

Uh, no. The deduction and subsidies were put in place as a cost savings measure to encourage companies to stop them from transferring people to medicare part D. Why do this? Because it costs the government an average of $1200 per person to cover somebody under Medicare drug coverage. It costs companies $600. By providing a $600 subsidy and allowing companies to write the subsidy and costs off, it saves not only the companies money which helps preserve jobs, but even after the subsidy AND the write off it saves the government money, a foreign concept to somebody who has never written a paycheck.
Now, look at what the Obamanites have done with this piece of lunacy… They've effectively increased business tax rates, they've inevitably increased unemployment since most companies are already running at the margins,they've inevitably increased costs to consumers, and they've inevitably increased the number of seniors who will be dropped from a private drug insurance plan and switched to a far more costly government plan, costing us all more money. This is what happens when you put academic idiots with zero private industry experience in charge Great Job.
On "NewsMax" there is a recent interview with Judge Andrew P. Napolitano. It is his opinion that the Supreme Court will decide that portions of the bill are unconstitutional. I was disagreeing with that point. Sure I could change the Republican party into what Geller purports them to already be. Hell, I could change the Democratic Party into the same thing perhaps. But that is not what I was arguing.

I will leave it to others to debate the merits of trying to reform the Democrat Party. As for:

These are the planks of the Republican Platform. They are codified in writing somewhere. That is their \”mission statement\”. So, yes, they have always stood for those ideals. The fact that they have not always measured up to those standards does not change the fact that THOSE ARE THE STANDARDS.
Taken in this context, Geller is correct. For you to suggest differently is spurious.

Let's just say that after 2012 Obama will no longer be a factor- he will have been voted out and a pro-American leader will again be in office. At least, that's the goal.
I wasn't traveling that far back, but you are absolutely correct. The origins of the entire debacle can be traced directly and completely back to the Democrats. Jimmah Carter and Slick Willie played pivotal roles in our current crisis.
