O’Keefe: The Persecution of an American Patriot
by Pamela GellerJames O’Keefe, along with Hannah Giles, broke one of the biggest investigative news stories since Watergate on the systemic corruption of radical left governmental organizations. It was, for new media, a defining moment. And while the historic implications of the O’Keefe/Giles expose are not yet fully understood, the media landscape was forever changed.

Despite this seismic shift in modern journalism, the mainstream media scornfully ignored the biggest story of the Obama administration. ACORN, Obama’s personal community organizing group, funded with taxpayer dollars, was shown to be a criminal, rapacious, and predatory organization. In clip after clip from O’Keefe and Giles, ACORN’s indecency became more obvious and outrageous, and the little remaining trust that the American people had in government/community service organizations morphed into outright contempt.
And the mainstream media yawned.
Until last week, that is, when, like sharks to chum, the media swarm worked itself into a frenzy over the news that James O’Keefe had been “busted” on trumped up charges. In an egregious act of thuggery and intimidation, James O’Keefe was arrested for entering Senator Mary Landrieu (D-LA)’s office (the people’s office) wearing a telephone repairman uniform. O’Keefe was attempting to document Landrieu’s contempt for the American people in not answering the phone from outraged citizens. Landrieu took a massive bribe from Chicago-land President Obama to induce her to help ram the nationalized health-care plan through despite the fury of the American people. Landrieu claimed she wasn’t answering her constituents because — get this — her phones were broken. O’Keefe was videoing the working phones. Beautiful.
So what does O’Keefe get for expsoing the corrupt politicians? A night in the pen.
Big Government is now reporting that Jim Letten, a U.S. Attorney, recused himself from the case. Was Letten the one who called the media, lied about the phone tampering charges and refused O’Keefe legal counsel? According to BG founder Andrew Breitbart, “James O’Keefe sat in jail for 28 hours without access to an attorney, while the U.S. attorney leaked the information about his arrest, helping the media frame it as ‘Watergate Junior.’” Breitbart compared this to the treatment of the Christmas underwear bomber: “The panty bomber on Christmas was given — you know, this guy’s from Al Qaeda, and he’s not even an American citizen, and he’s given access to an attorney right away. I believe that this was a concerted effort, this is just my opinion, to allow for the media to frame the issue to put James O’Keefe in a very bad position.”
So let’s get this straight. James O’Keefe, a great American, was kept in jail without a lawyer for the crime of entering a Senator’s office pretending to be a telephone repairman (how many reporters have gotten stories by impersonating one thing or another?), while the Christmas balls bomber, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, who attempted to blow up a plane by making sure he was sitting in seat 19a (over the fuel tank) and setting off a bomb he was hiding in his underwear, was given a lawyer almost immediately. His sitting in seat 19A would ensure the greatest possible explosion over the densely populated Detroit area — and yet O’Keefe languishes without counsel while being prosecuted in the media, and Abdulmutallab gets lawyered up quicker than Pelosi can bang down a double on Air Force One.
Got that?
Eric Holder will protect any Muslim terrorist. From the Netherlands to the Arabian Peninsula, the Nigerian jihadist, he has always stood up for their rights. And then of course there are the Panthers, Holder’s other favorites, with their voter intimidation with nightsticks.
But do not dare pretend to be a Bell repair man. Do not dare to enter a Democrat Senator’s office while disagreeing with her politics. If you do that, you will get the revolutionary court putting you into a hole, with the mob cheering like Frankenstein.
There is something really wrong in America when an earnest young man, in pursuit of the truth, is treated like a murderer, and a jihadi, whose intent is to slaughter Americans and overthrow the American government, is mirandized and given the Constitutional protections of an American citizen (which he isn’t).
The bottom line is that James O’Keefe was terribly wronged. And that is the story. That would have been front-page news in an era of uncorrupted media. Which is why the new media is, without, question, the single most critical element to winning the war of ideas.

I hope and pray that James is telling the truth and that all charges will be dropped. But, even if that happens…THE MAIN-STREAM MEDIA WILL NOT REPORT IT! All people will remember will be the false charges falsely reported!
"James O’Keefe, along with Hannah Giles, broke one of the biggest investigative news stories since Watergate on the systemic corruption of radical left governmental organizations."
Really? ACORN is now a government organization?
Not only are the commenters here morons but you are as well.
Hey, he won. Might as well get use to it. This is the fundamentally transformed Amereika that the public voted for.
Can you write a story where you break into a Senator's office and do what O'keefe did to find out if his charges are trumped up? That would be interesting to find out if the liberal media will follow your story.
it is exteremely close to a full government organization; it is largely taxpayer funded and receives tax money under the SEIU umbrella which has over 100 organizations. Classic Ponzi scheme- and it is a criminal outfit as well, so there' THAT…
They are a government funded organization. Go somewhere else, you despicable troll.
ACORN's big goal is to "influence" governmental politics! And with members in the White House and supported by tax payers…comes pretty close to being a government organization!
jharp,
Yes, the millions of tax payer dollars that they receive, and their seat at the tables of power in setting the agenda of this administration and congress, do indeed qualify them to be considered a government organization.
O'Keefe is many things- a 'Great American' and a 'Patriot' are overstatements…
We, too, enjoyed the clever ACORN exposes' and found then thorough, and well done. The sheer volume of undercover was impressive; and it was that salient fact that made the story stick (not a 'one off' event) and drove the Left and their minions in the Media apoplectic.
But this is still a Journalism 101 prank, and they overshot (to put it mildly) on this. No doubt Landrieux is avoiding her constituents- she doesn't want the Ben Nelson treatment- but what they did was erstwhile and noble, perhaps-
But it was wrong. So, we sympathize with his (self induced) plight and hope the best for the lad. He needs to think the next 'sting' through a tad more…
These folks routinely lie and it gets swallowed like grape KoolAid. The author said ACORN is a "criminal organization" but they have not been charged or convicted of anything (of course that's because Eric Holder is in a big conspiracy to support ACORN). The author states that Landrieu is a "corrupt politician" yet gives no concrete evidence for such. Her interpretation of the whole affair is a childish rant, and these people love it.
Poor James O'Keefe. What do you expect when you enter a federal building dressed as a phone repairman and tamper with their phones? What a joke. American patriot? Try right-wing partisan hack. This Pamela Geller is pathetic.
Ok, hold your collective breaths, O’Keefe was in DISGUISE in a federal office, his PALS were in disguise and taping w/out the permission of the federal employees being surveilled, how you get HE is being stung or railroaded is beyond the pale…
Oh, and how about them trying to get into the locked phone closet, and being caught doing so???
Hey if it smells like a break in and talks like a break in then say Watergate Jr.
Too bad, if he and his pals go to jail, but like you all always say
the RULE of LAW and that Whole responsibility thing…

"James O’Keefe, along with Hannah Giles, broke one of the biggest investigative news stories since Watergate"
Now O'Keefe and Giles are the modern day equivalent of Woodward and Bernstein. RWNJs have a habit of putting out some whoppers. This has to be up there with one of the great whoppers of recent times.
Corrections needed on this story include, but are not limited to the following:
The only people charged with relation to the ACORN tapes have been James O'Keefe and Hanah Giles.
ACORN has been exonerated by two independent investigations.
Despite your wishes, Obama and ACORN are not the same thing, nor are they connected in any meaningful way.
There is no evidence to back up the claim that James was held for 28 hours without access to an attorney.
O'Keefe was not in any sort of disguise. Flanagan and Basil were. O'Keefe was sitting in the waiting room, recording on his cell phone. They did not try to break into anything, including the phone closet. Please get a hold of the facts of the case before pontificating on them. You might want to start with reading the FBI affidavit.
Then you could ask the US Attorney. Oh, wait. He just recused himself. Nevermind.
Living in my parents basement has made me very bitter. My state check hasn't arrived yet and I'm out of weed can anyone help?
IF they broke the law, they should face an appropriate sanction. PERIOD.
But the point should be obvious that the same media machine that valiantly tried to ignore the ACORN tapes, acted like sharks in a feeding frenzy at the first hint of this "scandal." The most reasonable conclusion that one can draw from those two facts is that the MSM is nothing more than the house organ for the Democratic Party in particular, and socialism in general.
The MSM just can't stand a winner. The truth hurts so they want to kill it.
The front door is hardly a break in and his cell phone is not taping. The facts will show him innocent
If you're going to do what O'Keefe did, why would you break into a Senator's office? Should that be done while the office is open for business, and should you go with that sneaky "walk in the front door" trick to get in?
I have been sucking off the government teet for so long I don't care what ACORN does as long I get my check on the first of the month
Welcome to the “bizzaro” world of the ‘60s counterculture…zany huh?
O'KEEFE: THE PROSECUTION OF AN AMERICAN PUNK
You are right Benn Gleck! As long as I get my government check i don't care what ACORN does.
Hey Marxists run things what did you expect. I still say buy ammo and get ready. Obama has dreams of dictatorship and we all know nothing can stop him. Unless we do. But my generation is so lazy fat cowardly and sloppy they will take the bread watch the circuses and just let him take all our rights away.
Haven't heard a verifiable thing about them breaking into anything TomDem55. There was a deluge of false accusations that will be difficult for casual observers to sort out. That was their aim…smear and discredit. I find it hard to believe that going into a public office in a costume would be treated so seriously by Holder or the press if Keith Olberman did it to say, Senator Inhofe while bringing an indiscretion to light. The rules are terribly tilted, and huge election integrity infractions have been unilaterally forgiven while a harmless costumed videographer is vilified. The tyranny by the Obama administration along with his accomplice press is palpable.
FREE THE LOUISIANA FOUR! WHERE'S UNCLE AL SHARPTON?
IF HE CAN TURN 6 ON 1 BEAT DOWN THUGS INTO HEROES THIS IS A CAKE WALK !
NO BREAK IN , NO TAMPERING, NO BUGGING — WALKING INTO OFFICE OF BRIBED POLITICIAN.
GOOD LUCK ON HER RE-ELECTION IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO O'KEEFE — SHE'LL GET THE BACKLASH. .
"O'Keefe was in DISGUISE in a federal office"
"Oh, and how about them trying to get into the locked phone closet, and being caught doing so??? "
Would you quote the portions of the FBI affidavit that say those things, TomDem55? Or, if you didn't get those "facts" from the accusing documents, where did you get them?
Well put. One thing though…America is under attack from the TOP! States need to shore up their election laws and election security to get through this.
Got many Communist Christmas Ornaments?
If all Mr. O'Keefe wanted to do was observe whether constituents were able to get through to the Senator's office, then why did his cohorts need to dress up like telephone repairmen and ask for access to the telephone closet?
A true Liberal Democrat…
You are right on so many levels, it's scary….but true.
and your a low life we can be sure also a food stamp cheater
Here again shows the lies of the Ubama States of Africa (USA) as nothing says or shows O'keefe was dressed as repairman, it was 2 of the others so your a outright liar,
Frankly I think one of the other 3 was a Ubama plant and sucked O'keefe into a trap
In the end this country will pop and we'll deal with this whole skin color a homo crap scam once and for all
.
The real scandal is the propagandist media — censorship and omissions to promote corrupt liberal agenda. They are not protectors of victims, they are protectors of the victimizers. 300 million dollars would buy a lot of families insurance…
—didn't care or report on massive tax fraud and child prostitution by ACORN
— but now using media to villify O'Keefe immediately and on front pages.
– O'Keefe has shown again corruption by media, this time not way he planned
No wonder NYT, MSNBC, CBS and others are going broke and ratings dropping. They are moochers and looters of society.
I am a stupid democrat supporter. What else did you expect? Got any weed?
Aww…Syntax you’re so darn close to some kind of weird liberal euphoria…drat! Are you gunning for a seat in the politburo? What do you get for your love of all things Barry?
If he was caught trying to break in he would have been charged with trying to break in. There was no breaking in. Being in DISGUISE is a federal office, is not a felony. It is all about his intent. Was his intent to interfere with the phones in a federal building? That would be a felony. Was he attempting undercover journalism in a federal building? That is not a felony. I think the tapes the government has should tell the tail, and we can't really tell until they are released. But you and your ilk have repeatedly assumed and hoped the worst about this young man, and have been disappointed. Myself, I believe him when he says he was not there to interfere with the phones. But we shall see.
Pam Geller,
Thank you for your article.
" It was, for new media, a defining moment. And while the historic implications of the O’Keefe/Giles expose are not yet fully understood, the media landscape was forever changed."
While appropriate to give credit where credit is due, many people here are not familiar with you, and your work. When you started AtlasShrugged years ago, you took alot of heat, and still do, but you have been out front, leading the charge for a long time.
I'd like to thank you. Your efforts are appreciated. You have helped lay the groundwork for Breitbart, O'Keefe, Giles, and others that will follow. Keep up the good work!
Ah, another TROALL made it here today, I see !
tale
This really shows how screwed up Americans are today and no sight as to what this country is about
Hate to inform all but a Federal building is a public building, we the people own it and ANY taxpayer should have a right to walk into any taxpayer owned building when he wants and anyone working there are employed by we the people and do as we instruct so O'keefe had full rights to what he did and about time you all either know who rules who or face the fact your nothing but slave labor for the Ubama black panther gang
i believe only 10% of ACORN's budget was provided by federal funds
I hate to break the news to all the wingnuts here, but when someone uses false pretenses to enter a United States Senator's office, they have really, really big problems. You can put your head in the sand and try to justify their actions because it does not matter. Inspite of Sean Hannity buying his story hook, line and sinker, when the phone closet was opened, they do not need a whole lot more because morons, they had absolutely no business there. The most important fact though, is one of the accused fathers is a U.S. Attorney in Louisiana. When you have multiple defendants accused of a federal crime, one of them will become a snitch because the first one who blows the whistle, gets the lightest sentence. Hmmm. I bet we have at least one canary singing, loudly. You do not think the accused father who is a U.S. Attorney knows this. Does anyone here care to bet a whole lot of money, this kid has already delivered the goods. I do. I also know the truth sometimes really, really hurts. Oh, I am sorry, that quote is from Rusty the Chickenhawk. So all of you can go back to listening to Glenn Beck defend his vile comments. I prefer to live in the real world.
Corrections need to be made to your statement include, but not limited to the following:
The independent investigations were done by someone that ACORN chose.
Before the "independent" investigation was done a massive document dump took place which was and in itself an unlawful act because people's personal information was contained in the dump.
Obummer is connected to ACORN in that he represented them in court.
All you have to do to back up the claim of 28 hours with no access to an attorney is to check what time he was signed/ booked in and look at what time he was allowed to make a phone call to said attorney.
Anymore "corrections" that need to be corrected and the truth of light brought to?
Yea as a matter of fact 2 different independent investigations completely exonerated ACORN of any misdoing, implied that O'Keefe fraudulently misrepresented what happened in the ACORN office through misleading and editing and redubbing. And clearly indicated that in at least 2 different states the surreptitious recording of conversations without both parties knowledge is illegal, so I guess wiretapping isn't O'Keefe's first flirtation with the law
Get the fact's first………Voter fraud cases against ACORN are still ongoing, and the likely outcome will be guilty verdicts against them. They have not been absolved of anything. The sting O'Keefe took part in against ACORN is hardly settled, except in Liberal minds. The list of charges against the group is extensive and is ongoing in a multitude of states. There are just too many strikes against them to even consider allowing them tax payer dollars ever again…………..They need to go away……………….
The good news is, the "MSM" is not really "mainstream" any longer. FoxNews has captured the majority of viewers with good, balanced reportage. Even D.C. power players watch Fox because that's where the most reliable news is. CBS, ABC, NBC, MSNBC and even CNN are no longer out in front. THEY ARE ALL BEING LED BY FOX, in ratings and in reportage.
So- when FoxNews reports, remember that the NEW MSM is, in fact, reporting.
Well, I believe that you have a unicorn wedged up your colon and that is what is clogging up your gumball factory.
Oh you mean like the couple who entered the State Dinner at the White House? That kind of Federal Bldg?
Look dumb ass your stupid KOOOOS talking points are lies, learn something before you open your mouth and the diarrhea runs all over the floor.
I could not agree with you more.
You allege there was phone tampering but you give no concrete evidence of such. PWND!
"It's illegal to enter government property under false pretenses, for the purposes of committing a felony. Period. "
What 'false pretenses'?
What 'felony"?
You have no facts to "get straight".
"The list of charges against the group (ACORN) is extensive and is ongoing in a multitude of states."
Name them.
Seems Pamela's story is attracting a lot of blind liberal trolls. Hey trolls, a Federal Building is owned by WE THE PEOPLE. Unfortunately even you mutant liberal left wing trolls fall under the the heading of We the People. Lucky for you people like James and also the Tea Parties defend the constitution under which you speak so freely. Big duh for you people your types never seem to get that part. I'm speaking slowly now so you can understand. A Federal Building belongs to WE THE PEOPLE. That building is TAX FUNDED everything about that building is provided courtesy of a tax dollar contributed by someone working. Maybe liberal trolls don't work therefore are unable to understand that. Federal does not mean All God Like Important and Untouchable it means: TAX FREAKIN DOLLAR. I can put on a Queen of England costume and enter that building if I so chose to do so as long as I don't enter with intentions to cause harm cuz that building belongs to WE THE PEOPLE. Hello and Really? Am I speaking slow enough for you? Instead of being so dense, why don't you put on a fascist pig costume and go to your local federal building and go inside and see what We the People are paying for. James did not take a weapon into the building but he was treated worse than a terrorist who took a bomb onto an airplane. Geez trolls time to remove your head from the clouds.
Corrections to your attempt at spreading supplemental misinformation:
The independent investigations were commissioned by ACORN, not conducted by ACORN. There is a difference between the two and you should know that.
The document dump that you refer to, is not related to the tapes that James O'Keefe produced, and thus not related to James' accusations against them.
As to the question of how long James went without access to an attorney, if that was such a big issue, why didn't he bring it up on Hannity last night? And, do you have the information as to when he was signed in and when he was allowed to call one?
I blame your steady diet of MSNBC, drugs and a lazy mind for your ignorance.
This is why you guys can't run anything and people hate you when you try.
O'Keefe admitted on Hannity last night that he was also dressed as a telephone repairman.
Touche'
Well Roy, I am not aware of the "two wrongs make a right defense". Perhaps you could enlighten me. I am sorry, but what specific statements are lies. Oh, I know. I have the number of defendants who are singing at the top of their lungs incorrect. I bet the other attornies for the other defendants realize that someone's daddy knows how to really, really play the game. And I am positive, they have fulfilled their ethical duties and informed their clients. So I am very sorry and I apologize that I said there was only one singing. I should have said, three.
I love this!!!! Pam Geller has the nerve to reference a "seismic shift" in journalism? And you would be qualified to even discuss such a topic…why? Because you have a blog? Is that it? For the sake of argument, what's so innovative about giving a couple of fresh-faced college grads, itching for a revolution, a camera and telling them to go shoot undercover? That's never been done before. Noooo. Outstanding insight, Pam. How old are you again? 15?
If there's a seismic shift occuring it has everything to do with a gross lack of oversight, especially by people like you and "big journalism" and "big government." Someone gives you a blog and POW! just like that, you call yourself a journalist. Hannah takes a video phone into an ACORN office and POW! overnight, she's an "investigative journalist!"
What have we learned from all of O'Keefe's hard work:
ACON is a corupt organization taking advantage of people in need for their own profit.
Mary Landrieu sold her morals and is afraid to pick up the phone and explain it to her constituents.
Great investigative work by O'Keefe, Giles, and others, just seeking the truth.
And what law school did you graduate from? In this case, the federal government does not have to prove motive. They only have to prove they intended to interfere with the phone lines. Using false pretenses to have the phone closet opened and then even looking at the phone lines is all you need because they had absolutely no business being there. There claim that they were on an undercover operation is so juvenile, it reminds me of all the kids caught smoking dope or shop lifting, stating they were doing it for a story for their school newspaper. I really hope O'Keefe is stupid enough to try this defense because he will get to meet Bubba and I bet Bubba has a very favorable view of ACORN.
while we sympathize- really do- with the young man this is still a punishable offense. The office of a US Senator is not a public access forum, it is a secure facility with a DSS facility very close by. What if they were bad guys?
Make sense?
A few notes: First I don't think James represented himself as anyone other than a citizen. Next the fellows who had on telephone company shirts..it's not a crime to wear a shrit is it? It seems they asked to use/ see the phone, maybe they needed to call to reschedule an appointment, its the publics paid for phone if they needed to use/see it what's the issue. Next Rachel reports "breaking news and referers to FBI reports of charges" which turns out to be bogus, that seems like a pretty stong civil case of defamation. I worked for 2 companies over the last 10 years I have shrits with each companies name, it's not illegal for me to wear them is it? What about Army surplus clothing…is it legal for me to wear that? Hmmmm, wonder if they had on ACORN shirts what would have happened?
Lose your tinfoil hat?
Then you've contacted the Justice Dept about why no charges have been filed against said couple? And while you at it you can check and see if charges were ever filed against all the Code Pink freaks which disrupted all President Bush's speeches, obviously they were in a "Federal Bldg". The fact is entering a Senators office or any Federal Bldg for that matter is not a crime unless they were there to commit a crime. With out intent there is no crime. Based on what has been released so far they weren't any phone tap equipment and no attempt was made to interrupt the service. We will see.
So your ok with O'keefe being denied an attorney for 28 hrs while the panty bomber was lawyer-ed up within 50 minutes? You think those priorities are correct?
Not a lawyer. Did not mean to represent myself as one. I did not mean the federal government had to prove motive. "They only have to prove they intended to interfere with the phone lines." That is what I am saying. I doubt they can. Looking at equipment is not interfering with equipment. You hope O'Keefe is stupid. He does not seem to me to be.
So you are a lawyer?
Hey Robin, I have a mission for you. Since the White House is owned by WE THE PEOPLE, why don't you disguise yourself as let's say, a Secret Service agent and go and crash the gate. The problem is, they were not dressed up as the Queen of England, but as telephone repairman. Hmmm. I know this is a really tough distinction for you to understand.
Your a fricking liar he never said he himself was.
You racists blacks are turning all that many decent blacks did back 100 years.
The only thing that counts is that of the people and they have in large charged acron as guilty but as the norm of you black racists attempting to make this a white slave nation point to Okeef'e when what your doing as the norm pointing away from the fact Ubama sold 300 billion taxpayer dollars and paid off that bitch in office to illegally vote the way he wanted.
That you feel is not illegal but a guy trying to show the graft show be in jail which is a code word for getting even to what he did in exposing acorn for the commie nazi lovers they really are
What O'keefe did is nothing as to when people like you cause this country to explode, you will be dealt with once and for all
It was not surprising at all that ubama fired the white management of NASA when he stole the whitehouse and replaced it with blacks that he wanted to remove those with eduction and make this country so dumb that he is paying the commies of russia 54 billion per person to get them to the space station.
Your the one who implies ACORN is not guilty…………..Google..ACORN pending criminal cases…………It's extensive………….
Also try ACORN charged with Rico, that ones pretty funny too………..Thought RICO was for the mafia and criminal orgs…………………go figure
HuskersLoveBo you need to brush up on your constitution and realize that you can walk into any federal building and if they don't let you in, that is where the crime is. We pay for this crap, including the white house. The white house is open to the public in certain areas that will not tread on the president's privacy since that is also his living quarters. Really you need to know your rights a little better and its time to give up your socialist ways and come to the side of reality. Don't fear FREEDOM, a lot of people died to bring it to you
you believe incorrectly…
as said, under the umbrella of SEIU- and the 100 odd organizations extant- money is moved where it is needed. They do get some charitable contributions, but the left is notoriously chintzy about 'giving' their own money, so for the most part ACORN is funded by Uncle Sam…
So you think that lies, vitriol, and outrageous conspiratorial hyperbole is "good work"?
Once again, two wrongs do not make a right. I am also waiting for you to point out my lies. The law is, using false pretenses to enter a federal building to commit a felony, is a crime. They did not wear their birthday suits, but they were dressed up as telephone repairman and represented themselves as such. Now, you can go on ignoring reality but if they try this juvenile defense, your poster boy is going to spend some real hard time with Bubba.
Obamao was acorn lawyer before he was a politician, during his community organizing stint!!!! I would say that is a connection!!!
"O'Keefe admitted on Hannity last night that he was also dressed as a telephone repairman."
No, he didn't. Because he wasn't.
There is no distinction, the offense here is not gaining entry to that building, the offense is impersonating someone, that is what is so difficult for people to understand. Investigative journalist use to do this all the time before they became part of the left wing liberal organization. It is not a federal crime to enter a federal building and you don't GAIN ENTRY to a federal building you walk into it. The crime here is impersonating a telephone repair main. Now doesn't that sound silly? I impersonated a telephone repair man. OMG and soldiers die every day defending liberals rights to post on these boards. Roll Eyes.
Of course it does.
I have no problem with going out on a limb, or pushing the envelope to make a point. On the other hand, I had some people I knew who were in the Murrah Federal Building that was bombed in OKC, and knew some other folks personally in Cantor Fitzgerald in NYC at the World Trade Center.
Consequently, i am cognizant of the delicacies involved therein. Personally, I am torn; 50:50. Part of me wants to say "good job kid! Do it again." The other part of me says, be careful, you have crossed a line. If he wants to expose' guerilla journalism, he ought to take his handy cam to the post office, or the DMV. Maybe even the CONgressional dining room.
Better yet, he could surviel John Edwards and his love muffin……….
There's more BS on this thread than what comes out of Obama's lying mouth and that's a lot.
1. Jim Letten is one of the most honest and toughest US Attorney's in history. He would put his momma in jail if she broke the law.
2. Letten recused himself because he had a conflict with charges against the son of a fellow US Attorney and;
3. Because he is actively involved helping the Louisiana AG office on the ACORN investigation.
O'Keefe and his buds made a serious mistake, which comes with them being rookies to real investigative actions, they went into a Federal Office building under false pretenses and lied about it all the way. That's just plain stupid and the boy can talk all the wants, he and his pals committed a Federal crime. Getting lucky with a cutsie pie hooker and pimp routine is one thing, a Federal crime is a horse of a different color. Ask Anthony Pellicano. (Oh and BTW, O'Keefe, you've got the wrong lawyer for this case. There's only one you need and you better get, fast. Pamela Geller knows how to reach me if you want the name.)
The real story here is two-fold:
a. The guy, S. Dai, down the street in a car, is CIA trained. Why was he there?
b. The quickness with which Andrew Brietbart put up a disclaimer. Sorry, Andrew, but that reeks to high heaven.
Take it to the bank.
Pamela's "gadfly ramblings" are way off course here and I don't usually disagree with her.
And the last thing anyone in their right mind wants to do is mess with a Landrieu in New Orleans. You'd have better luck slapping the face of the head of the Sicilian mob.
Jesus was a conservative.
While I would truly love to address your question with an in depth response on a point by point basis, I must refrain from doing so. To dignify your mundane statement would only make it legitimate. Furthermore, the words I'd really would like to use in addressing you, would ultimately get me banned for life here, as I am already skating on thin ice.
You seem like a bright lad. Can you read braille? **** ### !
On another note, why does this site keep crashing?

Don't worry we are gonna "take care" of you.
You mean like when Philip Morris commissioned a scientific and medical investigation that totally exonerated them and stated that cigarettes had no negative effect on peoples health? Funny how it took an undercover investigative reporting like Mike Wallace and Bergman secretly taping and recording people and using whistleblower information and documentation to blow the lid of that story. IRONY IS A MOTHER!
Your first statement is a lie
I hate to break the news to all the wingnuts here, but when someone uses false pretenses to enter a United States Senator's office
Which I notice you corrected with your last reply
The law is, using false pretenses to enter a federal building to commit a felony, is a crime
Now if they can prove intent we will see but it hasn't been shown by what has been released,
In addition to the public sentiment in Louisiana which right not is mucho anger at Landrieu because she is dodging her constituents. If I were a betting man I'd bet Mary would rather this whole thing disappear as quickly as possible, but hey hang on to your pipe dreams you sure as hell can't hang on to Obama's phony promises so I guess any port in a storm.
Please. Constitutional law? Would you please quote me the clause, section and /or amendment which permits someone to use false pretenses to enter a federal building? As I said, why don't you go to the White House with an ear piece and sunglasses and try to enter one of the restricted areas. In fact, why don't you bring along a gun. After all, you will simply be using your rights protected by the Second Amendment. I eagerly await your reply.
P.S. I have owned my own business for 30 years and I have never missed a payroll.
Are you completely vapid? ACORN employees have been convicted of voter registration fraud in at least 6 states, and there are charges pending in a dozen others (plus investigations that may or may not go anywhere). There founder's brother admitted to embezzling (that means stealing for the Liberals in the audience) over a million dollars, which was covered up by Rathke (both acts are felonies). No independent investigation has been done of ACORN. They hired a partisan Democrat to investigate their policies, and he said there was nothing wrong (despite an earlier ACORN hired investigator saying there were systemic problems that could lead to financial improprieties). A dozen former board members were fired for saying that investigations into the use of funds needed to be undertaken. You can visit their web site and read their detailed complaints. Not to mention the half-dozen (at least) offices that O'Keefe & Giles managed to get video of them assisting in covering up a child prostitution ring (plus one office where a man volunteered to help smuggle in girls).
How's that, pookie?
Oh and to answer you too wrongs remark, I just mentioned those to show that the law isn't what your interested in, You're just a troll with a stale and predictable message.
I am not sure why people here feel the need to argue back and fourth. We all know that there is a double standard when it comes to the MSM and left verses right. We need to use are energy to fundamental change this country when the elections come back around. And God willing maybe the MSM will not be to big to fail.
Amen, Honest. When Letten recused himself, any first year law student understands that the gloves just came off. Otherwise, he would have stayed on the case and let the guys plead to wearing a bad Halloween costume.
I've given up replying to trolls, so here is my previous post. I'll just repeat it to every troll who makes this bogus argument about ACORN not being guilty of anything…..

Wait, I thought he was a terrorist?
Or was it that you're just a moron? I get the two confused.
Glad you are familiar with discover the networks. That site is fantastic!
Take a step back for a moment, and just think of the amount of work that went into it. It is a wonderful resource tool.
Because he wanted their staff to admit the phones were fine.
I think it was a dumb stunt. It's not exactly news that members of Congress pretend their phones don't work so they don't have to talk to angry constituents.
My friend, tell me, is it my imagination, or in the last week since this happened, have a lot of the regulars here that used to contribute disappeared?
As opposed to MSNBC's Davy-boy being a "crdible" reporter? Do you realize how stupid that sounds? Or how about that liberal icon, Dan Rather and his crew, using fake papers and throwing false accusations during an election?
maybe it's the Rapture…
certainly wouldn't take us, anyway. Yeah, haven't seen some of our better regulars around.
Can't be Obama's revenge, either, because Mr Cognitive Dissident is missing as well.
Oh well. The world needs your imprint now, Cowboy…
O'Keefe is going to beat the rap here, and he should as the charges were based on a lot of hot air coming out of Mary Landrieu's office.
But it is entirely inappropriate to be slandering Jim Letten like certain of my conservative brethren are doing. Letten is a Republican who was appointed to his post by George W. Bush, and he has done more to clean up Democrat filth in public office than anyone in the modern history of New Orleans.
