Obama Recruiting Radicals in High Schools

Organizing for America (OFA), formerly Obama For America, is recruiting in our high schools to “build on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda” – that is, his agenda of socialism for the United States of America.
Chuck, a reader of my website AtlasShrugs.com, has a daughter in the eleventh grade in a public high school, Perry Local in Massillon, Ohio. The teacher in her government class passed out a propaganda recruiting paper – headed with Obama’s distinctive “O” logo — asking students to sign up as interns for Organizing for America. And what will these “interns” be force-fed? The mother’s milk of the left — anti-war agitation, anti-capitalism, Marx, Lenin, Ayers, LGBT agenda promotion, global warming, pro-jihad, and illegal immigration. For starters. Maybe “Ellie Light,” who has in the last few weeks published the same Letter to the Editor supporting and defending Obama in over a dozen newspapers across the country, can give lessons in astroturfing.
The form carries a recommended reading list, including Rules for Radicals by the notorious hard left community organizer and Obama mentor Saul Alinsky; two Huffington Post articles by Zack Exley, “The New Organizers” and “Obama Field Organizers Plot a Miracle.” The first of those, published in October 2008, enthuses about “an insurgent generation of organizers” inside the Obama campaign that has, “almost without anyone noticing … built the Progressive movement a brand new and potentially durable people’s organization, in a dozen states, rooted at the neighborhood level.”
During the 2000 presidential campaign, Exley operated the website www.gwbush.com, which was filled with lies about George W. Bush that were designed to kill his chance to become President. The site’s headline was “Just Say ‘No’ to a Former Cocaine User for President.”
Also included on the OFA internship recommended reading list are Stir It Up: Lessons from Community Organizing and Advocacy by the leftist activist Rinku Sen, and sections of Obama’s book Dreams from My Father dealing with his days as a community organizer in Chicago.
And what is the point of all this propaganda and community organizing? To elect more Democrats, of course. This internship program is geared towards the 2010 elections, using our kids as the Democrats’ goons. The internship form begins with a nakedly partisan and propagandistic appeal: “Organizing for America, the successor organization to Obama for America, is building on the movement that elected President Obama by empowering students across the country to help us bring about our agenda of change. OFA is launching a national internship program connecting students all over the country with our organization on the ground – working to make the change we fought so hard for in 2008 a reality in 2010 and beyond.”
Can you imagine if the Republicans attempted such a stunt? Obama is using the public school system to help ensure Democratic victories in 2010, 2012, and thereafter.
This is incredible. And evil. And it is no accident. Obama is poisoning our public school system. He acts as if it’s his own private recruiting farm. This isn’t the first time, either. In September 2009, all public school students were forced to listen to his creepy speech about working hard in school. During the campaign the Obama camp had “Kids for Obama Parades.” And public school teachers more than once were caught indoctrinating children into the Obama cult. Remember the uniformed children chanting about how Obama had motivated them to succeed? P.J. Gladnick wrote about that video at Newsbusters in October 2008 that it was “reminiscent of North Korean kids chanting out their praises for the ‘Dear Leader.’” And don’t forget those many videos of public school kids singing brainwashed tunes of Obama praise.
Long before he was President, Obama’s camp had targeted children and started building a cult of adulation around their hero. The children’s book Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope by Nikki Grimes sets Obama up as a demigod: “Ever since Barack Obama was young, Hope has lived inside him. From the beaches of Hawaii to the streets of Chicago, from the jungles of Indonesia to the plains of Kenya, he has held on to Hope. Even as a boy, Barack knew he wasn’t quite like anybody else, but through his journeys he found the ability to listen to Hope and become what he was meant to be: a bridge to bring people together.”
And now once again our perverse public school system abandons academic standards and achievement, replacing them with radical leftist activism from leftwing Alinsky indoctrinators.
Children must be advised to expose this ugly propaganda. Children must tell their parents how they are being used and manipulated. Parents, warn your kids. Better yet, home school. Don’t let Barack Obama recruit his drones from your family.

Why would I be surprised at this "revelation"? It is an open secret that the National Education Association is nothing more than a money laundering front for the Democratic Party. Now they have begun recruiting for the "Hitler Youth of Amerika", and we are shocked? Please. This has been in the works for 50 years. The tree of Communism has finally begun to bear fruit, and we who stood by and allowed it to be fertilized are now appalled. THAT is what I find shocking.

Public service (Obama Service) takes precedence over basic education. These very same teachers who push the agenda are little more than union shills building future drones for the rank and file. School Choice, Vouchers, let the public vote with their dollars and feet when it comes to education. Actually, that's already happening. Out in Watts, during the curfew (some years ago), one courageous lady had spanked her 10 year old for violating the curfew and he called the cops on his own mother. Child services came and took the child away. When they contacted her later to come and retrieve the boy, she told them to keep him because if he wouldn't obey his parents he'd just get more of the same! That lady, to me, is an American hero.
The point is, though, that what you are warning might happen has been going on for some time now. It will only become more prevalent under this latest propaganda campaign.

The public school system must be a top target. I keep posting that…(I mean it every time I post it)…but alongside our elected officials, we have to go after it. I sincerely believe that it can be taken back from the inside. I know there are good people on the inside who do not agree with the left leanings of their union administrators. Those are the ones we need to be talking to.

My sister is a teacher in Illinois. She tells me that the *average* teacher should expect several lawsuits against them during their careers and that the teachers depend on the unions to provide lawyers to protect them. Other than the protection from lawsuits, she (and the teachers she works with) would love to dump the unions in order to not *have* the dues subtracted from their paychecks (ie: more take-home pay) since their paychecks are very low to begin with.
The scenario goes like this:
There is a class of 'family' that is very 'migratory' – moving from school to school.
Their kids are disruptive and seriously lack discipline. Whenever a teacher corrects one of these kids (regardless of the method of correction – even a harsh word in class), the teacher gets slapped with a lawsuit claiming 'child-abuse' (mentally or emotionally if not physically). This lawsuit is filed against the teacher personally and the school district in general. Either the teacher relies on the union or has to foot the defense bill themselves. Meanwhile the 'predators' find a lawyer that is willing to work for a share of the child-abuse award (and there's lots of those in Illinois). Meanwhile – due to what (on the surface) looks like a 'sane' law, the teacher is put on suspension and prohibited from teaching class or even being around kids while the lawsuit is pending for fear the teacher will be labeled a 'child-abuser' and the school district get more lawsuits from other kids' parents.
Currently, the courts get to know the teachers, throw out these lawsuits as baseless and lacking evidence, but there is still the court costs, lawyers bills, etc that the union pays instead of the individual teachers.
The 'family' (note the quotes), then moves on to a different school district and the cycle starts all over.
I disagree with the propaganda pushers in the schools as much as anyone else here, but due to that conversation with my sister, I now realize that we need nationwide tort reform as a first step.
Thinking about it more, if we get effective (this will be hard) tort reform, we should be able to put an end to all predatory-type lawsuits (those where the charges are baseless, but the lawyers are working for a share of the jackpot-award if they win).
This would be the same type of lawsuits that are driving medical costs through the roof as well as driving the costs of drugs through the roof (just imagine the legal liability that the drug companies have if they put out a drug that causes long-term liver damage, birth defects, or other health problems).
In addition to capping damages for medical malpractice, I believe we should also end the practice of any lawyer taking a case where they are paid only if they win (from the proceeds). I also think the lawyers should pay a substantial penalty for being involved in frivolous lawsuits (perhaps making the lawyer personally liable for all court costs and for the expenses of the defendants and the defendant's lawyers in defending against the frivolous suit ?)
If there were serious downsides to frivolous lawsuits, I believe the teachers (the good ones anyway) would have no more use for unions to pay their legal fees, and the unions could be disbanded without opposition from the teachers.

I just became a Republican party precinct committeeman. First we take back the Republican party. Then we take back the House and Senate. Then we take back the Executive branch. We only elect conservatives for decades. We place a hiring freeze on all non-security related departments and shrink them as the staff retire. On the local level, we get conseratives elected to school boards, zoning boards, and every other board.

4. All School Coricula must be approved by the Department of Propaganda or the school district could face de-certification.
Perhaps you think the President has nothing to do with this situation and that the Constitution is no longer relevant in this day and age ? I suggest you go back and read the Constitution – it describes the role of the President in this country and is also defined as the highest law of our land – even higher than international treaties.
What you should be asking is "What role does the Department of Education play in the US Government (Hint: The Department of Education is not mentioned in the U.S. Constitution and should therefore be disbanded – if for no other reason than for being complicit with this nonsense.)
