The Obamacare Deficit Fraud
by Peter FerraraPresident Obama has been barnstorming the country saying that CBO scores his health care takeover plan as reducing the deficit by over $100 billion in the first 10 years, and by almost a trillion dollars over the second 10 years. What is that based on?
Wading deep into documents available from CBO and the House and Senate Budget Committees reveals that the claim that Obamacare, in the form of the Senate health bill Democrats are now trying to deem through the House, would reduce the deficit is based on the assumption of an immediate 21% cut in payments to doctors and hospitals under Medicare. But that is just the beginning.
The growth of these payments would be arbitrarily limited over time, so this cut would effectively become bigger and bigger. For the second 10 years, the claim that Obamacare would reduce the deficit by close to a trillion dollars is based on assumed Medicare cuts over those years of over $2 trillion.
This would cause havoc and chaos in health care for America’s seniors. They would often not be able to find doctors, specialists and hospitals to provide needed health care. Most enjoying superior coverage from Medicare Advantage plans would lose that coverage, as indicated by the Chief Actuary for Medicare. Investment in new health care technology, new breakthrough medical treatments and services, and new miracle cure drugs would dry up, which has already started.
But if Congress does not allow those cuts to go into effect, Obamacare will further explode the deficit. The new CBO score regarding the House reconciliation bill does not change any of this.
America today suffers the spectacle of a President of the United States, and Democrat Congressional leadership, proclaiming to the nation that their socialized medicine plan will reduce budget deficits, based on fantastic assumptions of trillions of dollars in intractable cuts to Medicare that would leave that program unworkable in delivering health care to the America’s seniors.
Medicare already suffers an unfunded liability of $38 trillion according to Medicare’s own government actuaries. What Obama and Congressional Democrats are proposing is to loot $2.5 trillion from Medicare over the next 20 years to spend on new entitlements under Obamacare, and leave Medicare with that overwhelming unfunded liability.
In an earlier generation, when the Washington establishment enacted another health care abuse they were so certain America would love, called catastrophic coverage under Medicare, seniors protested by climbing all over the limousine motorcade of then House Ways and Means Chairman Dan Rostenkowski in Chicago. That led to repeal of that abuse the very next year by a Democrat controlled Congress. Just an historical note.

The lies regarding the real cost of the health care bill are so outrageous I barely know where to begin.
Near as Paul Ryan can say, just now on FOX this am, the real cost of just the accounting manipulation is a 2.5 trillion dollars, not the .94 trillion dollars — 250% more than Pelosi is saying.
And, as everyone knows, once you account for the usual cost overruns of inefficient government, and interest on the deficits, this will further greatly increase the costs and break the bank. Lord help us.

With the passage of massive and incomprehensible "Healthcare Reform" — a measure equal to one sixth of the US GDP, our course will be set to "fundamentally change America." You're right on that, and it's an outrage that the elderly, who have paid into the system for decades, are being told to go and die so illegals can get into the system and be lured here. Death taxes will follow. Obama will be pulling the plug on seniors with one hand and grabbing their estates before their in the ground.
Where's the social and economic justice in that? It's outrageous beyond belief.

Jut into the busines news: Caterpillar (CAT) writes letter to CONgress urging them to vote no on Health Bill.
The letter goes on to say, that this Bill will raise the Health Care cost, for CAT alone by 100 MILLION Dollars, in the first year alone. It further says it will place undue burdens on CAT, its employees, and its shareholders.
That is 100 MILLION for one large company. It is apalling. Companies this size, the few that are left, will either go out of business, or have to move overseas simply in order to survive.
The media's head is not sleeping in Obama's lap, it is bobbing up and down.
These elected officials have been cajoled into believing that passing this bill in the face of public opposition is an "historic act". That they will have a place in history.
I see it differently.
They won't have a place in history, in November they'll be history.
And, within the bill is the fact that they are going to be hiring 16,000 new employees at the IRS! Why you ask? To better look over your finances and to (force you to pay for healthcare). This is the destruction of American freedoms right in front of our eyes. All these people need to be held accountable including Obama. He should be impeached for (purposefully) destroying the country he was to preserve and protect.
Figures don't lie… LIARS only think they can figure.
The Doc fix is not in here, and what about the SS increase that this POS bill just vaporizes? The one we will need to fund again in what 3 or 4 years? It really makes no sense to pay for 10 years and only get bennies for 6 years! It looks like DOUBLE BILLING to me. Pelosi and her gang flunk basic math. Why can't Nancy add?
Very few cash flow projections for well-run companies are accurate beyond a three-month time frame.
How can these lying Congressunits expect us to believe that this massive give-away of our tax dollars is not going to cost an enormous amount of yet-to-be-collected tax dollars?
They have a far larger agenda. Once they kick in the door with this takeover of 1/6 of our economy, they'll try to keep the juggernaut rolling to invade every other nook and cranny. Watch out for their "intended consequences" which, I am convinced, are full of disastrous unintended consequences for the future prosperity and security of our country.
This is dangerous ground and we're being led into it by people who don't understand a thing about finance and economics, and who appear to care nothing for honest government.
It is time to start making sure the programming in all those electronic voting machines is tamper-proof so we can be sure that the vote this November is legitimate. Given the dems' demonstrated willingness to be deceitful in this long, tortuous series of parliamentary maneuvers, I wouldn't put it past them to tamper with the vote.

To think that Obama doesn't know what will happen would be naive at best. This is part of the plan, to kill capitalism and convert EVERYONE to a government dependent.

The Health Care bill is (like all bills coming from Congress) called the opposite of what it really is. The bill will cost more than stated, force all employers to go to a state run insurance or pay a fine, cause doctors to retire if they can, increase the numbers of those to be seen, control at least 1/6 of the economy just to point out a few things. Thus the Bill should be called the DEATH Care bill!! As it will kill the Country, the old, the sick and put a stake in the heart of what freedom we have left!
At what point do our elected officials have to start telling the truth to those they supposedly serve. My idea is as soon as the dust settles and after the 2010 elections, we start the subpoena process and have these unseated hacks brought back before a tribunal and under oath let them testify as to what they "really" knew and when they knew it.
Then start the process of convicting them for perjury in the performance of their duties as elected duties, provide the true facts to the American People, repeal ALL bills that have been passed under the lies perpetrated by these liars and then start the incarceration of each and everyone of them. We the People are owed at a minimum the TRUTH and all burdens placed on us through the tool of LIES and MISTRUTHS should be found illegal and non-binding.
I don't know who will have the gumption to start the process, but it isn't John McCain, Newt or any of the others in the seats of power and influence. They are part of the problem and we should not put ANY faith in them or their other cronies. It is important to remember that the other side of the aisle are not our friends they are our enemies and the unmasked enemies of our freedoms and liberties.
I we don't wake up and insist of our new leaders that the purge their ranks of the RHINOS and BLUE DOG fakes, then we are doomed.
It is time to take this country back or start something new that We the People want to live in…………let the statists stew in their own mess and not on the backs of those of us that want the true US of A back. It won't be long before the Statist's Utopia falls on its face once they no longer have us to fund their social experiments. They have no way to support their ideology except on the unwilling backs of us the conscripted slaves to their flawed experiments!!

Medicare ranks extremely poor in spending but they say it is insurance companies that are the bad ones.
Since I am self employed, i have bought the company health plan for several decades. It is what I choose. Obama blames the insurance carriers but every time the rates sky rocket, I increase co-pay deductible and reduce a little coverage. Insurance companies sell what employers decide to purchase.
Oh, they will have a place in History – they will be the CAUSE of another American Revolution.

We ran up a deficit of over $200 Billion just in the month of February 2010. $138 Billion constitutes just 18 days of February spending which will take 10 years to recoup under this abomination of an unconstitutional law that Congress has no authority to enact. Another way you can look at it is that it will take 20 years to recoup what we just spent in February. I can't wait until NOvember!!!

This is absolute, unadulterated insanity at its highest form. In any other enterprise, it would be called felony fraud.

What they gave the CBO to consider is only PART of the scam, while the most expensive parts of the scam are hidden under other bills or passed to the states (which we will still have to pay).
"Legislative Reality vs, Political Reality," by Peter Suderman, identifies specific deceptive strategies. One of the strategies entails shifting expensive parts of a bill to completely DIFFERENT pieces of legislation. So the costs found by the CBO will be only PART of the costs.
In the House, Democrats shifted an expensive, unpaid-for "fix" to doctor's Medicare reimbursement rates over to a separate bill. And in the Senate, they backloaded the spending so that its full effects would not be felt in the 10-year window that CBO scores. In the latest Senate bill, 99 percent of the spending would occur in the last six years of the budget window.
