Just what this country needs, more taxes to bail out failed companies like Solyndra, General Motors, Bank of America, ect.
No new taxes stupid !!!!!!! Stop the spending now !!!!!!!!!
Never give an order that can't or won't be obeyed. It makes you look stupid, and causes you to lose respect.
When Obama makes demands that can't be met, he thinks he's being cagey. In reality, any gains he gets from making the Republicans look intransigent are lost ten times over in the image that he's weak and unable to get his way.
There's no way he's got the firepower to push through a giant tax hike tomorrow in exchange for cuts over ten years. Ain't happening. If this clumsy ruse is really the best he and his brain trust can come up with to get him reelected, he's finished.
FLASHBACK: Obama Says You Don't Raise Taxes In A Recession

"It is better to offer no excuse than a bad one." George Washington
If people have done well here, despite having to deal with the regs and taxes, they deserve medals, not more taxes.
Notwithstanding his claims, his "math" indeed adds up to class warfare.
Wow he just won't stop, will he? It really isn't about revenue is it? Of course not, it's about dividing people.
Talk to me about tax increases when the 48 some odd percent of the country that pay no federal income tax start paying.
Fortunately, this doesn't have a prayer of passing – which means it's just 2012 campaign class warfare rhetoric.
-0- is only doing and saying what he is told.. He doesn't know any better than any other schizophrenic bum off the street.
you notice who Obama threatened when he wasn't getting his way on raising the debt ceiling? He threatened to not pay: Social Security Retirees, Military Retirees, Social Security disability and Federal Retirees.
He didn't threaten to stop payments to illegal aliens
He didn't threaten to take frivolous benefits such as Internet access away from violent inmates
He didn't offer to fire some of the thousands of unnecessary federal employees that he hired
He didn't offer to cut down on his or his wife's frivolous gallivanting around
He didn't threaten not to pay the senators and representatives or any of their staff
He didn't threaten to take benefits away from welfare recipients
He didn't threaten the food stamp programs
He didn't threaten not to pay foreign aid
He didn't threaten to cut back on anything that involves his base voters
2012: THE END OF AN ERROR
I don't understand this as a viable reelection campaign. To paraphrase Larry Summers – there's not an adult running things in the WH.
And the voters know it.
Someone needs to sit the president down with someone from outside his Keynesian-ringfence, someone who can explain to him the difference between static analysis and dynamic analysis. And the concept of seen and unseen.
You do if it fires up the base to get you re-elected. ("Party before country," like the press secretary Carney Freud-slipped).
