This is aimed at all the politicians who are writing books while in office. What I question is why are our politicians writing books when they are being paid by us to perform a job? The last I was aware of, writing a book while in office wasn't what we voted them in to do.
With all of the politicians whining about not having the time to read a bill before voting on it, where do they find the time to write a book?
Jim DeMint is the voice of American reason. He reminds me that there are still real Americans around. Keep up the good work of cultivating good congressmembers Mr. DeMint!
My Washington D.C. Tea Party picture of 9/12/09 graces the cover of Jim's new book.
I should get a free signed copy at least. (Hoping.)
Excellent point. If they were doing their job, they shouldn't have time to write a book for profit. IMHO, the Publisher is more than likely employing a ghost writer to do the actual writing from notes, interviews, articles, etc and the politico or whomever affixes his/her name.
Has anyone seen anything actually written by a politico? Their staffers and paid speech writers do all the grunt work. They are too busy posturing, pontificating, bloviating, and smiling for photo ops. Take BO for example. Nothing he says via teleprompter, internet, twitter, etc is actually written by him. He is too busy golfing, vacationing, shooting hoops, striking a pose, or traveling all over the country in his big jumbo jet toy campaigning.
This "Super Committee" is beyond dangerous, usurping Congressional powers. That they were allowed to actually create such a committee was unconstitutional as well.
This act alone has now made us a democracy – having stripped whatever we had left as a Republic.
I think I am the only person in the USA who hasn't written a book and doesn't have a tattoo.
Kinda curious what DeMint is writing about.
I could give a $%@! less about reading another book written by a politician. Just do the job and stop this nation from going under! (And I acturally like DeMint.)
I'd rather have our politicians spend more time writing books instead of legislation.
I can't fault you on that. Maybe if the politicos wrote or authored more, we wouldn't have such financial problems. Now how can we get BO to write 567 books before the end of his reign in 2013?
Americans are finally waking up about how little this President knows about an economy.

Very Cool!!
And I second that…..definitely a free signed copy.
Maybe the absolute last thing I need is another politician telling my his story and how we need to take back America.
From what I can tell, if congressional asshats had been doing their job, we wouldn't be needing to take America back…from them.
I like Demint, but I am 100% sure that I will never read his book. I'll go read "Partriot's Handbook" or "Liberalism is a Mental Disorder"…for the third time.
Cocaine is a hell of a drug…
where to get a good tatoo? ;>
But what if the book motivated believers to support him in getting done what they mutually belive in(?) (This getting convoluted. I stop now.)
A lot of people dragged spouses to see Palin's movie. Many got converted, they did.
He's my Senator and I will contact him with a few questions (none loaded for him):
Q1: Can we have some sort of 'Fair Tax', please?
Q2: Can we leverage our country's natural resources, please?
Q3. How do so many politicians and bureaucrats become rich?
Q4. Why do most Congressional Staffers seem to be smoking-hot young girls in black skirts?
(Q4b: Does that make them smarter, or something?)
I'm all for motivating people in the "right" direction – I'm just sick of politicians, period, getting richer while most everyone else gets poorer on their watch. Sometimes that frustration boils over.
