Damn the establishment Republicans. They are a big part of this country's problems. Already seeing them buck the newcomers agenda. They should be very careful if they expect to survive.
The "old boys" crowd of repugnuts whether at the state or fed level need to go to the unemployment line. They are not conservatives and are just as bad as the elitist, progressive liberals.
We have lots of work to do to send these dinosaurs to the trash heap. Seems the rinos didn't get the message that we, the voters, are giving the repubs a second chance and that they are on a two year probation.
This is a never ending pool of bad news. We exhaust ourselves for an election, only to find out that within two weeks, they expose themselves as being our nightmare all over again.
It is very frustraring to work so hard to send them a message and they have the jackasses ignore the will of the people. Is tar and feathering illegal? If not let's get busy!
They better learn the lesson, and soon. We are taking notes !
The "establishment Republicans" damn well better figure out that the "newcomers agenda" is the
PEOPLES AGENDA.
BUCK the PEOPLES AGENDA at your own risk GOP!!!
.
It's really not that bad, Petro. Texas Dems are not even close to being in the same league as California Dems or DC Dems, as Dubya discovered. The RINOs like Clouse are one of these "let's all just get along" guys, but still pretty conservative.
Thank Gawd for our balanced budget amendment, makes things pretty simple. We got the "want" column and the "need" column. In tough times, the "want" gets the cuts; Texas Dems and RINOs get that, did it in 2003.
This should be an exciting legislature. I remember, I think it was back in '92 (?), when the openng day broke out in a fist fight! It was great! Yee Haw!
It takes time to rid ourselves of 50+ years of neglect on our part. Think of 2012 as another step in the right direction. We also need to clean up our act at the local level and recapture the educational system. It's a long, tough road ahead, but we are the people and we must do it if we wish to leave a legacy for our children, grandchildren and their children. The TEA party movement can be the catalyst on the road to recovery.
Your aim is perfect, bulls eye! RIght in the keester or ass if you prefer.
I agree.
Off topic, but very urgent action required.
Call Your US Senator NOW to Oppose S. 510 the
"Food Modernization Safety Act"
Please call or email your US Senators now and tell them both to oppose S. 510.
I use the tag "URGENT" because this atrocious bill, which would regulate small farms out of business, and would stick the FDA's tentacles into local farmers markets, is now on the US Senate floor and open for vote, potentially as early as today. I am not sure exactly when it will be voted on (sometime between today and 60 days from today), but to be on the safe side contact your two US Senators TODAY or as soon as you see this.
When you write or call, don't bother trying to teach them about the Constitution. Most of them know what they are doing and simply don't care. Instead, tell them to oppose this bill or else – and that means you will mark them for defeat in the next primary. Tell them they shouldn't even worry about the next general election because you will see to it that they won't even get past the primary because you will do what the Tea Party just did to some sell-out Senators during the recent primary – you will support some fresh-faced constitutionalists the Senator has likely never heard of, and you and thousands of other constitutionalists in your state will do all you can to see that the sitting Senator is sent packing in the primary. And tell them if they vote for this bill, you don't even care whether that challenger is even likely to win in the general election. All you will care about is kicking them out.
The 'old boys' include Kay Bailey Hutchison. She is definitely one of the dinosaurs that needs to go the trash heap.
Senator Kay Bailey Hutchison is 'on the fence' re: "DREAM Act". Get the word out. Post 'Vote No on the DREAM Act' on her FB page, send her emails and letters. The ones that want the dream act passed are inundating her.
Damn ‘Dream Act’ how dare anyone would want to give citizenship to non-White People who serve in Our Military keeping our country safe and free for Democracy.
Odds are Texas will now go bankrupt before California.
( Texas' GOP leaders, their eyes on the Nov. 2 election, have played down the problem's size, even as the hole in the next two-year cycle has grown in recent weeks to as much as $24 billion to $25 billion. That's about 25 percent of current spending.
The gap is now proportionately larger than the deficit California recently closed with cuts and fee increases, its fourth dose of budget misery since September 2008.
Against the backdrop of the acrimonious campaign between Republican Gov. Rick Perry and Democratic challenger Bill White, Texas' top elected and budget officials have guarded even more tightly than usual against leaks of information. But bad numbers continue to dribble out in legislative testimony and agency reports.
The bottom line: Public schools, college students and government employees, not just poor and needy Texans, might very well lose money, grants, benefits and even livelihoods during and after next year's legislative session. )

Smart move to lose Ben Domenech's smug, plagiarizing mug from the header here, but he's still involved, which refudiates whatever your point is automatically.
