I totally agree. I spent 30 minutes trying to figure out where the annoying audio was coming from. Unfortunately, other than hitting the stop button on the podcast from withing the article there appears to be no way to stop it. That means every time you load the web page the audio barnacle sounds off until you kill it. Reallllly annoying.

I really like this site and visit daily. But nothing is more annoying than automatic playing audio/video. It took me several minutes to finally locate the bastard. Please don't do this.

Oh, another suggestion: What if the daily episode was embedded someplace at the top with a link to the day's comment section? That why I can start to listen to it while I browse the headlines of the day and later I can get to the comments if I have any w/o searching down the scroll.

Second that. I was trying to listen to Giuliani's excellent discussion of Obama's utter incompetence in bringing the terror trials to NYC (via ace.mu.nu) on another tab and couldn't figure out where this infernal cross-talk was coming from. For a new blog, this certainly does NOT make a favorable first impression.
