Tea Party Racism??
by Nathanial Alexander StuartOn March 27, 2010 writer Frank Rich was quoted in the New York Times Op-Ed section The Tea Party movement is virtually all white. Is this true? He then closed his article with Are these politicians so frightened of offending anyone in the Tea Party-Glenn Beck base that they would rather fall silent than call out its extremist elements and their enablers? Many media outlets, including MSNBC, the Washington Post, CNN, the San Francisco Chronicle, and the Huffington Post among others are insinuating that there is racism in the Tea Party movement. Take a look for yourself.

The biggest influence of racism in the Tea Party is Blacks against other Blacks. Conservative blacks have a very difficult situation in this country, they are considered traiters to their own community. Those Blacks who brave the racism and hatred thrown against them by their own communities and yet attend Tea Party functions because they believe in conservative values are my heroes!
If MSNBC ever does an expose on the racism inside the Congressional Black Caucus, I might watch sometime.
Firstly, I seriously doubt that the Tea Parties are 'all white,' and secondly, the point has already been made that the Tea Parties would, logically, have more white members than black members right now since the majority of blacks in this country voted for Obama.
The point has also already been raised whether or not the critics of the Tea Parties plan to force the group to institute 'affirmative action' type standards.
Rich's observation is a moot point.
"I'm scared of the President because he is white… What does Keith Oberman have to say about that?"
LOVE THIS WOMAN!!!
It has nothing to do with skin color. It isn't the color of this (or previous) President that I am scared of, it is the color of his policies.
It's amusing to watch these leftwing mental defectives that incessantly referred to Condoleezza Rice and Collin Powell as "house ni**ers", Uncle Tom's, sellouts, etc call us racists. Irony is a foreign concept to liberals.
And these are the same degenerates accusing us of racism that made Wolf Blitzer look like a minstrel.
Oh there's racism all right and it's predominantly on the Left. But liberals don't get called out for their soft bigotry, instead they flaunt it with comments such as "he's [obama] clean and articulate" implying most blacks are knuckle dragging neanderthals. Oh those liberals are so tolerant so long as you don't wander off the plantation and begin thinking for yourself.
I loved the "poop" sign behind her head while she was saying "we don't hate the president"
Liberalism is by definition racist, the liberals are just are not open & honest about it. They claim their policies give a hand up to disadvantaged minorities, when in truth the policies are designed to create dependence on government and keep them down. It is post Civil War slavery.
Call us whatever you like. It won't stop what's coming. In point of fact, it will probably make it much worse. The angrier you make us, the less likely we will be to forget your many offenses against us on election day.
In looking at your video, aside from the black people you have on camera, if you look behind them virtually everyone else present is white.
That is pretty consistent with what Charles Blow found when he went to a rally, the very few blacks were given a prominent spot in the program, but everyone else there was white:
http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/17/opinion/17blow….
Thank you Mr. Stuart! I loved the man giving the education on Uncle Tom, a true hero of the black slaves. Just another example of the true ignorance of those on the left hurling insults. Again, thanks Mr. Stuart for making this video.
Great video Nathanial!
this completely and thoroughly exposes the Dems tactic of diverting
from what the Tea Party stands for to trying to label us all as racists.
I still can't believe they're resorting to race-baiting but I guess we shouldnt
expect much less from the libs.
Once again, great video exposing the truth behind the myth of Tea Partiers all being racists. http://blakelachappell.blogspot.com/
It's a shame I can only give your post 1 thumbs up….
That will be about the time monkeys fly out of my…..well, you know.
So what if they are all white? SO WHAT?
ALL peoples are welcome to the tea-parties, what does the left want us to do? Go into neighborhoods
and drag people out of their houses to join us?…..If they come they are WELCOME!!
This is like a roarschash test. What you see in the Tea Party tells a lot about who YOU are.
If only the network media were dedicated to its job…
Fran Rich is really POOR in brains.
So why does a group of people have to has X% of Y race of people?
Is that in the Constitution somewhere? It's not in my copy.
And quoting from the NYTimes??!?!?! Hahahahahhahahahaa
Leftist hogwash! Pay no attention as they attempt to spin their false premise, no worries, it only means they’re scared…good! We will remember come November!
Freedom is more than just being able to decide what you want to do. Freedom is accepting total personal responsibility for yourself in all facets of your life, including the unfun stuff like buying various insurances, paying a mortgage or a car payment, worrying about which bills need paying when. In order to be free, you have to accept the unfun along with the fun. To cede those "icky" responsibilities to another entity is to put yourself back into a state of childhood to that entity. Remember how hard you worked to be free of your parents and their rules whether you loved them or not? Now imagine that there is no way to be free of your new "parents" because they write laws backed up by the weight of legal apparatus. How do you gain freedom from that? When this entity drains ever more of the money you work hard to earn to cover those responsibilities you have left, what freedoms of choice are truly left to you?
God Bless America
have you ever thought to consider the racism from black people? This was highly apparant during the democratic primaries. On exit polls in several states, voters were asked whether or not the debates affected their choice. Most of Hillary's voters said yes, most of Obama's voters said no. Add to that fact that the vast majority of black people voted for Obama, and it leads you to the reasonable conclusion that they voted for him based on race alone. Funny, they say that when white people do that it is racist (which it is), but they never put the shoe on the other foot.
GREAT Video! It's ALL about Freedom and Liberty!
I like the T-shirts I saw that say:
"JUST BECAUSE I DISAGREE WITH YOUR POLICIES DOES NOT MAKE ME A RACIST"
Maybe they need one that says:
"SORRY I'M WHITE, I DIDN'T GET TO PICK MY COLOR EITHER!"
The reason blacks are not in the Tea Party is "Africans have a different meter, and Africans have a different tonality," Europeans have seven tones, Africans have five. White people clap differently than black people. "Africans and African-Americans are right-brained, subject-oriented in their learning style," "They have a different way of learning." And so on.
Hey, I agree with you!
Yes, the whole race issue is the only thing the left has to attack the Tea Party with. They are just following Saul's plan of attack.
And when the race card has been proven weak, they try race baiting… and even that was called out as false.
Wait, wasn't it the Republican party that moved to abolish slavery? That was an all white group…
Probably wouldn't be a problem with this group regardless of "skin color" if it wasn't so popular and gaining momentum. I belong to "groups" because of their cause, not because of their skin color or religion. Let's keep this on track and start debating the issues…
Hey Treason……here are two points for you to ponder…Fourteen percent of the American population is Black….soooo that would be what fourteen out of one hundred Tea Party people, are you with me so far?
Of that fourteen percent of black people….ninety five percent of them voted for Obama, so by your logic are they racist for all voting for a Black man and not a white? I did,t thinks so…..
Carrying on here with the math…only five percent of Black people did not vote for Obama….I'll bet large we got the majority of them, what you think nitwit?
Isn't that what ACORN did to get NObama elected?
Well, thank Jesus!!! (I was beginning to worry)
lol, you have a great point there!
I don't know what kind of racist BS you're spewing, but take that shit out of here!
Go back to stormfront where you belong.
I liked the sign which said 'PooP' with O logos the best. (lol)

Its racist to not be racist.
I love how these folks expressed how, we the PEOPLE, as Americans are standing up for our freedoms regardless of race, sex, education and looks. I love you fellow PATRIOTS!!!! I will stand next to each and any person willing to save our country as the folks are in the video.
Hey, what's wrong with that? (heh, I tried to last year… not everyone would come).
and nice job on the video Mr. Stuart.
Your simple logic will send them into overload. Next, they'll be running around their apartment with their hands on their ears (thanks Klavan) screaming NEW YORK TIMES…. NEW YORK TIMES….
Off Topic: too much credit / blame is given to the president for employment numbers. Look at who runs congress for who to blame: Dems ran congress until 94 and the repubs acted like dems whilst Bush was in office. Nancy and the dems took power in 2008. Do you see a pattern here?

This is all part of the Democratic messaging effort. Try to define your enemies. They have been pushing this message for a year now.

sorry
Yep. Keep your eyes open!
They failed when they tried infiltrating the Tea Parties. But I bet they'll keep trying different tactics.
Ahhh how sweet… you have a black friend. I wonder if your black friends believe the president was born in Africa…
Oops… it would be wise to put the link at the beginning of the post, next time.
that was a trap!
I'll bet the percentage of folks who voted for Hussein – basing their decision solely on race – was higher than those who voted against him for the same reason.
I was merely taking issue with the premise in the piece which said "frank rich says the T party movement is virtually all white .. is this true … look at this video and judge for yourself." I looked at the video and just looked behind the people being interviewed, and it seemed to lend support to Frank Rich's premise, rather than contradict it.
SO WHAT????????
Amen brother! They can keep this crap up and the movement will keep on growing and growing!
get over yourself – all 'political movements' have wingnuts… our 'few' have just seemed to have captured the MSM's attention.
Better find a new tactic lefties. The 'race card' isn't working anymore.
Rich's comment was intended to incite racist reposnes rather than point out an effectively meaningless statistic. Nobody in the Tea Partys gives a flip about skin color. We all bleed red.
Andrew
She did say it well, cheers for her.
Blacks comprise 12% of the American population and get counted TWICE, should they or their ancestors have come from Cuba or some South American country; once as "black" and again, as "HISPANIC".
What does the lefty morons want……………AFFIRMATIVE ACTION recruiting at Tea Party protests ?
What's next……………..head counts for Asians, "Hispanics", Indians, age groupings, socioeconomic levels, lesbians, homosexuals, and vegans? That's so 1980s………………when the Dem Presidential Conventions did quotas, so as, I suppose to make the pictures appear that everyone "loved" Carter or Mondale, or whoever?
Now here is something that is worthy of News attention. Real people with real feelings. Articulating their thoughts and feeling in an unequivocal manner.
I would say that simply as a result of their reporting, that it discourages people of color from going to Tea Parties because they have a pre-conceived notion of racism.
The left are the kings U& queens of ASTROTRUFFING; they pay and feed, and bus in the "audiences" and protesters.
"Calling someone UT in a derogatory way makes as much sense as calling George Washington a traitor and Benedict Arnold a patriot"
But that's the way libtards see it. B.A. is their martyred hero.
We are not the party of Affirmative Action…..we let the numbers fall where they fall. And my dream is that more folks of all colors would see the truth about the Dims…..they are the party of BIG GOVERNMENT, who wants to control our lives….we are the party of limited government and liberty for all….no matter the levels of melanin in our skin.
My guess is if any of these so called journalist should take the time and looked at extended American families, they will find many homogeneous, colorful and accepting groups of people…there are many interracial marriages in my white family and we love each other for who we are not what we look like. And I don't believe I have an exceptional extended family!
And yet…YOU still keep posting lies and fallacies here….
No not a trap but rather a social test. Since I was considered a white racist for the statement, is Rev Wright a racist for same statement?
You are so dead wrong here it is absolutely stunning. If you look at all of the people behind the interviewees, you will see that they are all Americans.
If you think that I am racist for disagreeing with the president because he is black then I propose to you that I am disagreeing with his white half.
Good point.
"The hilarious point has also already been raised whether or not the critics of the Tea Parties plan to force the group to institute 'affirmative action.'"
It looks like the Tea Parties are already doing this voluntarily. If you go to a Tea Party, most of the blacks who are in attendance are invited speakers. Apparently, any black person who is not a raging liberal and has even the slightest understanding of conservatism is instantly promoted to a Tea Party leader. The whole thing seems ridiculous to me. Principles are principles, regardless of race. I don't see why we must have a certain percentage of minority participation for ideas to be considered legitimate.
mikatollah
Hey you are correct on one point, the inmates have taken over the asylum….have no fear we will get them under control come November.
Look out loony lefties….the Right is on the way!
Oooohhh…BRILLIANT…!!!
I'm stealing that…!!!
It goes on my very next TEA Protest sign…!
Any man can make mistakes, but only an idiot persists in his error.
Maybe the problem is that you have to let go of your entitlement mentality to go to a TEA Party…
In which case, the hard working self-starters will always outnumber the economy dragging anchors…
Lorben you are so right, in my family we have red, white, yellow, and black. Hell I'm part white myself… and damn proud of it.
Nothing gets my hackles up more than racism except race baiting…now that really pisses me off…
You and your lefty author buddy came to the conclusion that tea party members are racist because:
We don't have quotas
We believe that the term "Brother" is defined by the man or woman who stands with me on principle instead of the color of their skin.
We don’t force people to form tightly into groups at these events by race, instead everyone freely associate and mixes, why it's almost as if people don't care about skin color.
Yes I think you have proven your case, that is if you case is
A. The left wants to intimidate minorities into not participating
B. The left is terrified that minorities might leave the welfare plantations they have created
C. The left is out to fracture the movement by race baiting
D. The left has no other arguments that play
The American people are waking up, enjoy it while it lasts voice of retardation.
The left ARE the face of racism in American today. If you look at a group of people, and the only thing you see is the color of their faces, you are obsessed by race. You are viewing the world through race-colored lenses. That IS racism.
Last week, Al Sharpton appeared on the Glenn Beck TV program. When Beck showed him the paintings of Faith, Hope, and Charity with 3 Founding Fathers, Sharpton's only response was to notice ONLY that the three people in the paintings were WHITE. I looks at EVERYTHING as a race issue. He is therefore racist!
Race obsessed IS racist!
After the way the right behaved while in power with record deficits, starting wars they wouldn't pay for and melting down the financial industry…. political power should scare you more than political impotence.
True racism comes from the liberal left plain and simple!!
I was wondering.
What would be the socioeconomic condition of people of African descent who live in the United States today had there never been slavery anywhere in America?
What would have been the mechanics that encouraged their enthusiastic and willing immigration to North America?
What would be their present percent of population in North America sans slavery?
Is there any place on earth where people of African descent are better off by any measure than are African Americans?
That's not really affirmative action–the parties would be legitimate with or without 'minority' participation. That may be a counter-move to keep the critics at bay, but the black members are already in the party and willingly joining without being 'recruited.'
However they choose to head up the individual groups–the fundamental principals of the Tea Parties remain intact, which is all that matters.
I LOVE these Patirots interviewed! Right on, sister! Right on, brotha! I salute each and every one of you!
@ Voice of Reason – Watch the videos and see what Charles Blow missed in Grand Praire by sitting in the front row and not doing interviews. How on earth can someone travel so far to attend a Tea Party yet not speak to anyone? What was his reason?
The people interviewed at GP are regular Americans just like Nathaniels video interviews – Nathaniel and the person who did these interviews are doing the work the state-run media refuse to do –
Grand Praire Tea Party Part I http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_Pm1k7MK850&fe...
Grand Praire Tea Party Part II http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NDQWkBcq3qw&fe...
Calling the general public racists is divisive and shuts down any opportunity to debate. Well it won't work because we're not going to shutup and thankfully we have places like Andrew Beirthart who gives us the opportunity to discuss issues.

TEA natures anti-oxidant.
mikatollah
Well dear, his grandmother believes that.
I agree, but unfortunately many in the Tea Party movement seem more concerned with proving to the media that they are not "racist" then the principles they claim to believe in.
Well try not to pass your prejudices along to your grandkids. My grandparents were terrible racists, but somehow my dad didn't internalize his parent's hate and pass it along to me. The cycle has to be broken at some point.
Nathanial, that was powerful! THANK YOU!
No, unfortunately, it is working just as well as it always has.
My former Congressman, J.C. Watts, Jr., was told he was NOT WELCOME in the CBC when he was first elected to Congress in 1994! The reason? He was a Republican. The Congressional Black Congress is, therefore, the DEMOCRAT Congressional Black Congress. Why they continue to pretend otherwise is anyone's guess.
Here's a little math quiz that maybe all these folks who want to label Tea Party folks as racist should take.
There 300 million Americans
25% are Tea Party goers (recent polls)
14% of the population is black
95% of Blacks in America STILL (?) support Obama.
Assume the Tea Party in Suckatash draws 10,000.
How many would be Black,…??
My next sign…
BROTHERS AND SISTERS OF ALL RACES, IF YOU LOVE LIBERTY AND PROSPERITY, WE WELCOME YOU TO OUR TEA PARTY!! GOD BLESS YOU!!
Live free or die!
[...] » Tea Party Racism?? – Big Government [...]
I'm not afraid of Obama because of the color of his skin, I'm afraid of him because of the content of his character. Does that sound familiar? It comes from a quote from a famous REPUBLICAN, MLK JR.
If you don't make yourself heard, you'll wind up being herded! THAT'S the message we should all take away from the Tea Parties. It's really as simple as that.
mikatollah
My reply was to your question…
"I wonder if your black friends believe the president was born in Africa… "
So now you call the presidents grandmother a prejudice racist, my, my you should watch that kind of talk.
add the hispanic caucus to the list!!
yep brilliant!!! better write small or carry a big sign that a mouthful to put on a poster…dead on though…
Well aren't you just the little fibber.
Whites comprise, what – about 80% of population thereabouts?
MSM looks at the faces and concludes – racist. But Tea Party is about small, limited Government and low taxation. How is this "racist"? It is racist because in the mind of the MSM, big government helps poor minorities. A valid argument. You could counter it by pointing out just how little genuine impact big government has on changing the lot of the poor, and how confiscatory taxes stifle job growth and small business – impeding the poor from becoming non-poor. Liberals are not going to touch this argument directly, though.
here's some good reading: http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pag...
MSM: No minorities – ergo something wrong with your ideas.
How about few minorities share our ideas – what's wrong with them?
I really don't mean what is "wrong", but rather why aren't more minorities in favor of limited government? Root cause probably is that it took strong Federal Government action to force an end to Jim Crow and implement civil rights. That same Federal Govt., however, upheld slavery for oave 100 years.
