Which Democrats Get Free Passes?
by Morgan WarstlerStarting today, the RNC should offer Free Passes to targeted Congressional Democrats who will agree to vote NO on health care.
The Free Pass should include:
- A guarantee no national money will be used against the Democrat in the general election.
- A guarantee if the Democrat wants to jump parties (far less likely), he/she will receive the RNC’s endorsement in the primary & national money in the general.
Yes, Pelosi still faces hurdles. Yes, a government take-over of health care would inflame America’s likely voters and lead to greater Republican gains in November. Yes, we can attempt to repeal it. Yes, we can cheer SCOTUS to rule it unconstitutional.
But, none of these things is worth the current Republican passivity. We have no time for party purity here. Our own focus must be jobs, jobs, jobs. And we cannot get bogged down with “repeal it,” even if we gain power.
Right now, Republicans should be locking down NO votes with as much carrot as we have stick. We’ve put the fear of god into them, for the ones still fence sitting, it is time to offer salvation.

Here’s my list of persuadable Democrats to be offer a Free Pass:
- Rep. Dennis Cardoza
- Rep. Jim Costa
- Rep. John Boccieri
- Rep. Henry Cuellar
- Rep. Tim Bishop
- Rep. John Adler
- Rep. Allen Boyd
- Rep. Steve Driehaus
- Rep. Joe Donnelly
- Rep. Marion Berry
- Rep. Gabrielle Giffords
- Rep. Daniel Lipinski
- Rep. Michael Arcuri
- Rep. Steve Kagen
- Rep. Kathy Dahlkemper
From reading reports these are persuadable Democrats. There are certainly more. We need at least ten, so Michael Steele needs to really put an offer out there.
I’d argue we should be very public about it, so we can be kept to our word. If it is kept secret, Representatives will not believe it. Also, this way each Representative’s voters will KNOW the Republican party is truly big tent: we place good policy over party line. On this policy we have a vast majority of Americans on our side, we need to show we can negotiate in good faith, that we can govern.
Yes, it’s just going to suck. Each of these idiots has annoyed us on one issue or another. But, if these are your Representatives (or your Representative is a Democrat) get on the phone, let them know you are a likely Republican voter, a regular donor, and that your vote is up for sale. In this one instance, let them know you’ll be a single issue voter.
We need to play hardball here. There will be other fights to have with these Democrats.

it is worth a try-ask them:How can the Federal Government control costs without controlling human behaviour? ..and if it seeks to do just that, How does it plan to control our behaviour? Further: Please explain to the American people where this squares with our Constitution and the Freedom and Free Will of the people?
Neither Collins, nor Snowe, nor Michaud, nor Pingree, Representing Maine folks, has given me an answer to that question!!
I also think it is worth a try if it can stop the current healthcare bill. Several humorous and powerful cartoons on Obamacare at http://drawfortruth.wordpress.com/category/health...
We all want Gabrielle Giffords out of Arizona already. If she gets enticed to become a Republican, that's just one more reason that I will not vote Republican this year. We need more conservatives, not more RINOs. Bribing the Blue Dogs is basically throwing out the baby with the bathwater. The progressives are bribing people to pass it, and then the Republicans are going to bribe people to not pass it. Great, what a wonderful government we've turned into.
Just waiting for "But it's different when we do it, because they have something we want…"
Hmm… what could possibly go wrong bribing liberals to be fake conservatives? Why not offer them or their relatives judgeships or high level positions if they vote a certain way… oh wait aren't we supposed to be upset because that's what the democrats are doing?
Pressed for time…but did want to say: what an incredibly stupid, stupid idea. The point is to beat these people, not bribe them so that maybe they vote a certain way (Louisiana Purchase?). What a stupid idea.
The object of the game is to beat them into the ground, trample them and rule, not play nice and give cookies. The author sounds a lot like Trent Lott etc with the stupid power-sharing garbage.
Interesting idea. I tend to agree.
Our own focus must be jobs, jobs, jobs
We could create a million jobs FOR AMERICANS if we revoke all H1B visas and kick these interlopers (many of them industrial spies) out of the country.
I could not disagree more. The RNC has enough difficulty in choosing and funding conservative candidates for it's own party. Our efforts are better spent electing conservative replacements for RINO members of congress – not adding to their ranks by encouraging party switching or giving vulnerable democrats "a pass" for the sake of one vote.
What? At a time when integrity is non-existent in government you want to heap another layer of contemptuous behavior on top of the steaming pile with more bribery? You must be from Chicago.
I agree with several of the above posters. Don't we have enough RINOs in the stable? I wouldn't give them the scrapings from the bottom of my shoe.
Another half-baked idea.
This is an idea I had considered in my own pea brain.
This bill needs dead.
At what cost?
I am sick and tired of being sick and tired of these political games. As Americans, when did we accept the "fact" that "playing politics" is an acceptable status quo? When along the way did we lose the outrage over the fact that these clowns were NOT representing their constitutuency? When did we start accepting the fact that "it is always about politics and keeping one's seat in congress?" Sad, sad state of affairs in this country. We are losing our freedoms and our standards of living because we keep on allowing this unholy alliance between governments, the financiers and global corporations. It's all about power, money and greed!
So long as the list is under 20 I can live with it.
Sometimes it's about winning a battle.
Health care is too darn important NOT to use every tactic in the book to win.
If the Obamunists pass it, getting it revoked will be very difficult – because like with heroin, once people get addicted to an entitlement, it's close to impossible to remove.
Conservatives are often too idealistic to win at politics.
Obama got in office by making deals and pretending to be one thing while he was clearly something else.
If we can't get off our high horses this one time in order to drive a stake into the heart of Obamacare, we might as well cede the country to the Progressives and go look for another place to live in freedom.
The article on this thread represents one of the dumbest ideas I have ever heard. The author evidently does not savvy the concept of "Honor".
Unfortunately politics is often about winning.
Can we stop bribing government representatives already…?
A much better tactic for Michael Steele and the RNC would be to actively court TEA Movement individuals to support GOP contenders for the seats…and publicly integrate their positions into the RNC…
Granted, it doesn't leave a RINO a lot of room to be "collegiate" or "congenial", but it would sure win elections and put an end to the destructive DNC Obamabot policies…though from what I've seen so far, Steele is more worried about what letter, D or R, follows the candidates name, rather than whether they are truly conservative or not…Scozzafava just being the latest of a long list of DIABLO Republicans…
Even if someone tried this, do you seriously think that the TEA Supporters couldn't do the same thing that they did with Scott Brown; throw a national backing against any one or all of those Democrats and flip the seats…?
"A much better tactic for Michael Steele and the RNC would be to actively court TEA Movement individuals to support GOP contenders for the seats…and publicly integrate their positions into the RNC… "
The health care vote is coming up within a couple of weeks.
The election to which you refer is in eight months.
If they pass their bill, that will REALLY screw up the country, and it may be very difficult to fix it.
I like your line of reasoning there Spanky,………
Jobs, Jobs, Jobs,…..for the good of the individual,…..or…..
Jobs, Jobs, Jobs,….for the good of the party.
As they say in Chicago,….What's in it for me??
Unfortunately you are closer to being right than I am.
Politics is ALWAYS about winning and never about honor.
Unfortunately again, for me, I'm too old to change. I'll cling to my antiquated ideals of honor. I'll hold them right close to my Bible, and my guns.
In this important week in American history, with so much at stake, where is the illustrious Michael Steele and the RNC? Why aren't they displaying some leadership? Is Steele off on tour again, hawking his idiotic book?
So you won't vote Republican which will help elect a Democrat because you want more conservatives in our government. Brilliant!
The question to ask,…is the passing of this bill mean the end of America as we know it,…….
If so,…….is the "integrity" of the Republican Party paramount.
There was a time when sufficient House members comprised of Democrats and Republicans put the interest of the country ahead of their party when voting on bills of this magnitude.
If it is going to be done,….a good PR campaign should erase any "bribery" type arguments.
Inbteresting. I had a similar idea this weekend (day late, dollar short as ususal) about the Tea Parties. Since they are non-partisan, I would suggest that state and local Tea Parties offer to support those moderate house dems from their districts who agreet vote NO on the health care bill. Image the power of a moderate dem with the backing of a local tea party to run as a true moderate.
According to http://www.americanparchment.com and that leaked document about the ethics probes in the house, Democrats are more unethical by over 3 to 1 above Republicans and that the most left caucus' have the most unethical Representatives including the Progressive Caucus, Black Caucus, etc.
This is my thought, all those pushing this bill should be arrested for fraud and acting unconstitutionally. We should give them a get out of jail card free? No, we should 3xecute them after they are found guilty, starting at the top down. They will pass this and then we will need to repeal it. There are so many things wrong with this bill and there is a lot of mental disease coursing thru Washington. Get out of jail free card, only means they think we have doubts about our ability to stop them, it's like taking a plea deal. I would rather see the guilty parties swing after a fair trial.
No, we should not. We should run good people that the base can get excited about, articulate our message to the American people, win, and not apologize for it. But to say to a democrat congressperson "okay, if you vote this way on Thursday, we promise we won't spend any money to beat you"? That's not just stupid and criminal, it's flatly wrong.
Hell, what kind of message are you sending to someone who might be thinking of running for public office? "Sorry, the national party won't spend any money for you because they want to play nice with your opponent"? Screw that noise.
OK!
Whoever has the HUGE pile of juicy dirt on Nancy Pelosi please come to the front of the room and SHARE DAMMIT!
Nothing wrong with that. No offense to Spanky, but it's his ideas (his as a broad generalization!) that have got us where we are now.
It's not just about winning. It's about doing what's right.
Or at least not doing what's wrong. Destroying Obama et al isn't wrong. Bribing members of the opposition to support the "good guys" in one vote at the expense of the party is wrong. Not to mention "icky".
No, you tell those wavering democrats that you'll spend five times the money to see them defeated if they vote for Obamacare. You let them know you're done playing games, and they will be destroyed by ads from every right leaning special interest group on the planet if they even think of supporting Obama. That's what you do. You don't bribe them to play with you for a day.
It's like putting steak inside your ugly kid's shirt so the dogs will like him.
De-fund it in place…
Just like they do for every Defense project they want the money from…
But you have to have the votes to do it…
As we have seen, they will try to write rules to get things passed even without the vote taking place…the ultimate power for the Congress is in the representatives elected…so, you must have representatives of the people…not of party…
Missy seems we are on the same page. I did find this at patriotroom.com it's in the WSJ http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052748704...
God Steele is a disgrace, huh? I had such high hopes for the man.
That'll teach me to get my hopes up about a politician.
Hear! Hear! Your comment is spot on. This health care bill MUST be Obummer's Waterloo.
Central Valley Farmers (and the food they provide) will never be as important, as holy, as the Delta Smelt.
I have also noticed that the Yahoo page is now running a feature on how the Obama Health Care could affect you. Yahoo usually runs on their front page inane stories, non-political. Seeing that ugly mug on the Yahoo main page is causing me distress, I wonder if can sue the B@stard for that. How could this Health Care affect us? It's going to screw us all over. An over-whelming nearly 80% of WE the PEOPLE oppose it, but they are going to still pass it. What is the point of our existence here? We can live in Mexico and have more freedom. If you click on my avatar it will take you to a video of Harry Reid showing the level of stupidity that is his.
For the war, you are correct. For the battle, I like Warstler's idea.
I didn't send Scott Brown money because he's a Reagan Republican. I supported him because we needed that one vote — right now — to stop this thing.
"I am sick and tired of being sick and tired of these political games. As Americans, when did we accept the "fact" that "playing politics" is an acceptable status quo?"
About the time every last one of us, informed or not, was given the right to vote.
Healthcare is the lefts Holy Grail, and if it can be stopped making a deal with the devil (democrats) then we should. However, I still believe they get this monstrosity through by hook or crook, ignoring the will of the people. If they push this through Budget Resolution (51 votes), or the Slaughter Rule it can damn well be taken out using the same method. I prefer to see this as an opportunity, finally, we will have the liberals fully exposed, no more hiding behind the moderate moniker. The democrats are declaring war on real America, the majority, challenge accepted, just remember “what goes around comes around!” …and using the new rules lots of goodies can be pealed back, paybacks a bitch!
Now THAT's the Chicago way.
What the author described above in the article, I can sum up in two words: Arlen Spinchter.
We have enough of that type politician. We need less of them. Money is the lifeblood of politics. We do not need to bribe them. On the contrary, we need to cut off the lifeblood of money, and let them bleed out on the Capitol steps.
I too had high hopes for him.
He turned out to be nothing more than a token. Token "tool". He is an embarrasment, not only to himself, but to freedom loving conservatives.
LOL
I call them as I see them nolo…
No. Expedient, sure. But we have have to look at the long road. If we elect conservatives we can repeal all the crap after 2012. Tough, but we can do it. But it's more than just a couple bills, it's a whole infestation of liberal poison and bipartisan corruption we have to take out. Saving some weak Dems will only make it harder. The future of the republic is at stake.
I've been hoping someone would show up with photos of them, fondling the livestock………
My issue is if the get HC passed, they will pass Amnesty too, that will be too late to repeal in 2012 and that will increase the number 'dems' (liberals progressives) then come 2012 we have no chance to repeal HC. Then there is cap and trade if we can't stop this HC bill then we may as well place our heads between our legs and kiss our butts good bye because they will go against our will and push crap and trade as well. HC needs to be stopped plain and simple.
No.
You got the concept right. I think the author was either high, or drunk when he had this brain fart.
This is just dumb.
God knows if anybody has gobs of skeletons in the closets its the "crypt keeper" and the "penguin" if this thing passes though we won't need to worry about dirt, we'll need to worry about raining blood…
[...] From BigGovernment.com, an interesting idea: The Republican National Committee should select a list of vulnerable [...]
Wouldn't it be telling if Democrats trust republicans over senators in their own party?
We must remain diligent in our commitment to integrity while we honor our Founding Fathers as we fight the corruption that has brought this great country to it's knees. Desperation only signals weakness and welcomes further attacks from the progressives. They are ruthless and have no honor.
Honor is our shield, Truth our sword, Diligence our armor.
What a great idea. Too bad my Party (the Republicans) are to hidebound and stupid to use it.
Amnesty is built into the bill under the "electronic records" section.
The way legislation works in DC if its not specifically excluded it is implicitly included and you will notice in the "electronic records" section that there is NO mention of legal citizenship ergo amnesty..
I think the first part makes some sense: A guarantee no national money will be used against the Democrat in the general election.
(These Dem's will be blasted by their own party in the primaries. By voting against Obamacare, the Dems are helping us with the fight of a lifetime. Yes, we still want to boil them alive, but we need their votes on this one.
If we get their vote, the RNC has its hand full defeating those who voted for Obamacare in the general elections
But not the second: "A guarantee if the Democrat wants to jump parties (far less likely), he/she will receive the RNC’s endorsement". We do not need men who we want to boil alive in the Republican party.
This author comes up with some very unusual 'out of the box' ideas!
Whoever said to apply the pressure to the dumb dems voting for this, by way of letting them know the campaigning against them will be fierce, I support that idea.
Looks like I'll be calling that little weeny Lipinski -
We live in a republic. The solution is not to increase the coruption that is rampant now, but to act like citizens. Get on the phone or email your rep. Phone is better as whoever answers can hear your anger. No one but ourselves can hold off these people until Nov. 2nd.
We want to stop Obamacare. That's all.
An honest politician is one who stays bought.
We need honest politicians in Congress;
Politicians who are bought and paid for
by the voters who elect them, and no one else.
We don't want to America to have a bad healthcare system like it will under Obamacare.
The point isn't to "beat these people" just for power's sake, but to have a prosperous and free country to live in.
I agree with you.
I am pretty open minded. I tend to think so far out of the box, that I've been accused of never being inside the box. I have read the other articles that the author has contributed here, and they were well thought out. Actually, I'm somewhat impressed with this kid, and think we need more like him. But in this particular case, I think he needs a different hat. The one he is wearing is evidently cutting off the circulation to his brain.
If you are concerned about immigrants/foreign workers taking your job, perhaps you should gain more valuable skills and work harder.
The point of capitalism is for competition to produce the best. Maybe we should just give welfare to everyone instead of encouraging them to work hard?
There are protests going on all over Oregon this month and if this thing passes they will become VERY VERY HOT!
At his point I'm confident that they don't have the votes but remember these guys don't care about the constitution and the "Slaughter solution" exemplifies that very clearly.
I'm afraid if they use that maneuver we could find our country at war with itself very very soon…
This is a really hard one to decide. If it peels off one or two votes to kill this monster, then it might be worth it. More than that… perhaps if the jump is contingent on them embracing fiscal conservancy, small government…. but how would you enforce it? Foo, it sounds like a good idea but I don't think it will fly.
Don't call Lipinski. He'll tell his dad on you.
Or how about telling them something like this: “I know I’m not in your district, but if you vote YES, I promise I’ll contribute heavily to the inevitable moneybomb for your next opponent. We have long memories and the tools to set things straight.”
A "guarantee" from a politician? What have you been smoking?
"Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin _____ throats."
H. L. Mencken
Not a chance. The moderate Dems are to blame more than than the True Believer. There is an arguement that the True Believer is so rooted in their dogma they can't see straight and thus, can't help themsleves. This doesn't relieve them of responsiblity of course, but it can explain their action. I can respect that because they can't be bought.
Not so with the effing "moderate". He/She is just out to cut the best deal for themselves that they can. That's why they still remain "undecided" at this very late point.
I say the exact opposite. No deal. In fact, we are coming after you first, no matter how you vote!
Explain how you plan on achieving that without beating those people back?
I mean really. Having a prosperous and free country to live in is a nice idea, but until people like Obama and Pelosi and even Maddow and Olbermann are completely destroyed, it's not happening.
Yes, it is this simple. In the past decade plus so called republicans have tried to play nice with the evil crowd. From Trent Lott's 'power sharing' to GWB's compassionate conservatism-reach out to the other side let Teddy Kennedy write the education bill-spend more money on social programs than they do-crap, and it hasn't worked.
Like our enemies abroad, they've seen this as a sign of weakness and are emboldened. It's time to abandon weakness, and not stop until they're (figuratively, of course) nothing but bloody shells stacked on a corner of the battlefield.
If you are concerned about immigrants/foreign workers taking your job, perhaps you should gain more valuable skills and work harder.
How about entry level Americans – those who just got out of college and can't find jobs. You think it is great they can't find jobs? So, what is to become of them?
No, your treasonous "free trade" BS mindset is on its way out as more people see their neighbors struggling more and more for less and less. Go be an international money-grubber somewhere else. Time for Americans to stand together.
Forget TIM BISHOP. He votes predictably with Pelosi and Reid, and we Long Islanders aim to take him out. Some of the first "angry town-hallers" videos were shot here on the island, and it was Tim we were angry at. He ducked and dodged us, then learned to pack the halls early with his union friends! We'll be replacing him with a solid conservative soon enough.
Promise them anything, then give them the coup-de-grace in the end. They'd do no less for us, the snakes.
[...] » Which Democrats Get Free Passes? – Big Government [...]
Don't like it. (And it won't work.)
=it makes a fool of conservatives
Very sad to read it.
Stand on principle, or go support McCain or Graham or some other RINO.
I agree, the GOP has too many Olympia Snowes, and that is why we are in this mess. I also agree – keep beating the Dems over the head with this thing EVERY SINGLE ELECTION CYCLE until it is repealed.
There were actual news articles about Dirty Harry and fraudulent land deals, but nobody follows up.
So why does everything have to change this election? Why can't we make strides in 2010, then do even more in 2012? Are we really that much of an immediate gratification generation that we can't be happy with trying to win Congress this time around (not to mention stopping a bill that will change our relationship with our doctors forever)?
Republicans aren't going to win every race in the House, and Conservatives aren't going to win every race in their primaries. So the question becomes, where does honor leave off and common-sense begin? Conservatives can sit in a corner and refuse to do anything that might somehow violate their sensibilities and tell themselves that makes them right (no pun intended), but if your reward is a permanent lurch to the Left for this country, what is the end result and will your life (and the lives of your children) be any better?
Not saying you are wrong, but we all make compromises every day in our lives. To suddenly stand up and draw an arbitrary line in the sand and say, "This is where I can't go further, no matter what the consequences" doesn't really make anyone more ideologically pure than the next guy. It's the sum total of your decisions that make you who you are, not a single issue or one vote in an election.
Yep…….
That's pie in the sky. This will NEVER be repealed. Sitting there and dreaming that allowing this to pass will somehow turn out better for us down the road is about as productive as sitting and hoping Santa Clause is going to bring you the present you want. How close are we to repealing Social Security or Medicare? What entitlement have we ever gotten rid of (other than welfare, which is still there but did finally get some restrictions)?
If you don't mind the idea of Obamacare for the rest of your life and the rest of your children's lives, then fine. But base your decisions on reality, not on a fantasy.
yes, do it –Kill the Bill first –pick up pieces later.
OMG!?! Driehaus?
A week before the origina vote, he was on the local morning radio talk show telling all of Cincinnati he was a certain NO vote. Two weeks later, he told to this very same audience that he never said he was a NO vote.
Last week, he is a NO vote for any bill supporting abortion payments. Today, Biden will be in town for a fundraiser and Driehaus told the city he would now have to see the language in the bill – aka as a YEA vote.
In all my life, I've never witnessed such a coward – and a liberal coward in very red territory – we're trying to rid our party of cowards and turncoats, are we not?
It will never happen. Don't sit there and dream about fantasies that will never come to pass, work with the reality of the situation. I haven't heard a single politician or pundit say that it would be possible to repeal or defund this once it's in place, no matter how Conservative they are.
As for Steele and his concern of Conservatives, it's not called The Conservative Party, it's called the Republican Party. Politicians are elected to represent their constituents, not a national movement. In more Moderate (or Liberal) districts you will get more Moderate (or Liberal) candidates. There were three major elections that Republicans, Conservatives and Tea Party protesters have been hanging their hats on as "proof" that there's a change coming and that Americans are rejecting Obama's Liberal policies (Brown, Christie and McDonnell), and none of them ran on a Conservative platform (although all had some Conservative ideas in their campaign).
All the talk of RINOs and people not being Conservative "enough" is just chest pounding. The reality is that everyone has different beliefs, but share enough in common to run under a given platform. People who try to use Conservative as a noun instead of a verb are just fooling themselves.
You know, I sat there and listened to Conservatives attack him for months because he was too busy getting his face on TV to do what his job is actually supposed to be (raising money and recruiting candidates). Now everyone's mad at him for not being more of a leader. Would it be possible to get a defined job description for the head of the RNC so people could stop attacking him every time they weren't happy?
Almost everyone except the most Liberal politicians have some Conservative beliefs. The mistake I see Conservatives make over and over is assuming that you are either conservative or you're not. That's silly. There are some issues (i.e. spending, smaller government, support of the military, protection of children, etc…) that almost everyone is Conservative on. The question is, does the author recommend giving protection to people on the far Left end of the ideological dial if they vote for this one issue, or is he suggesting that people who are Center-Left but promise a no vote get a pass? Are these even people who face a serious challenge (or a challenge from someone who is significantly different from them ideologically)?
This idea is far too complicated to dismiss or support out of hand. It's intriguing, but as with everything, the devil's in the details.
I get so tired of people beating their chests to show how ideologically pure they are. Why do I get the feeling that most of them couldn't explain the Republican platform (or the roots of Conservatism) if you asked?
I'm not going to BRIBE anyone to do the right thing. Either you have the Character to Obey the Constitution or you don't! If not then we will VOTE you out of office as soon as possible.
Why even ask.. honestly….ALL of them should be on the UNemployment line with MOST of America….
At least we still have people in public service who will stand with us, when necessary, if needed. These are people who swore to an oath to defend the Constitution and protect the citizens of this country.
1. We will NOT obey orders to disarm the American people.
2. We will NOT obey orders to conduct warrant less searches of the American people
3. We will NOT obey orders to detain American citizens as “unlawful enemy combatants” or to subject them to military tribunal.
4. We will NOT obey orders to impose martial law or a “state of emergency” on a state.
5. We will NOT obey orders to invade and subjugate any state that asserts its sovereignty.
6. We will NOT obey any order to blockade American cities, thus turning them into giant concentration camps.
7. We will NOT obey any order to force American citizens into any form of detention camps under any pretext.
8. We will NOT obey orders to assist or support the use of any foreign troops on U.S. soil against the American people to “keep the peace” or to “maintain control."
9. We will NOT obey any orders to confiscate the property of the American people, including food and other essential supplies.
10.We will NOT obey any orders which infringe on the right of the people to free speech, to peaceably assemble, and to petition their government for a redress of grievances.
OUR free trade mindset? Hey D-bagg, NAFTA was passed by Clinton, you tool. We Conservatives didn't want it. We saw the writing on the wall. All of the major manufacturing jobs in my area (including engineering, tech positions, as well as assembly work) has all been outsourced. That's why there are so few job opportunities in the USA. But you claim it's 'foreign spies' with their H1B visas taking all the jobs. Which is it spanky, free trade, or are you gonna sit back on that veiled racist remark about your favorite group of people again?
Lipinski is part of the Chicago machine and the free pass won't work. He's also not vulnerable – he routinely beats his (R) opponent 70% to 30%. Yank him off the list.
And free passes would only work on democrats who are VULNERABLE to defeat by a GOP opponent. With the GOP seriously weak or noticeably absent in many states (like Illinois) this is not a political reality.
Had the GOP actually stood for something instead of being assistant democrats they could take advantage of this power struggle and win.
I had to double take for a second after seeing Marion Berry, and thinking to myself, "The D.C. hookers and coke guy is in Congress?"
Sorry, I do not want to a Mary Landrieu type of thing to get votes.
No Americans wanted it. But so long as we tolerate these non-American elites who consider themselves international citizens to run our country it doesn't matter what label they have, Republican or Democrat.

Yet another idiotic idea from Morgan! Let me be clear: NO FREE PASSES FOR ANYONE! Morgan, you are obviously the product of a progressive coupling. Either that, or you were infected in the education system. Who taught you that life hands out free passes? We are in a WAR for the future of this country. I, for one, will give NO QUARTER! You do not show mercy to the enemy. If you do, you will face him again in the future and you can believe that you will NOT be given the same courtesy. If you don't have the balls or the stomach for the fight, stay off the field and stop offering moronic advice!
DENNIS CARDOZA will vote for this bill, get out of jail free card be damned. This clown has fumbled and fumbled and failed to leverage any of his votes with getting the water turned back on here in the Central Valley! The farmers' land is drying up all over the place, some towns have unemployment rates at 40%, there are some areas that look like the dust bowls of the 30's. Cardoza is a TOOL.
Good article, and a good idea! The get out of jail free card seems most appropriate, if the R's are able to swing the balance of power in November, I am sure they will be some serious investigations going on. I would like to see alot of the fools in DC hauled away in handcuffs!
Morgan, sorry to go off topic here, but could you possibly get a douchier headshot? No, I guess you probably couldn't. The defiant smirk, the hands thoughtfully folded, the tinted glasses (do those get darker when you go outside? Sweet!), and that, that … OK, what is that on your head?
Thank God for the internet, so stains like you have a place to go and feel important. "Look, Mom! I got a article published on the Internet! And they didn't even pay me!"
Time for the floor hamburger again…
First of all, I'm not sure about your entire list, but I can guarantee you, ain't now card gonna' be saving Steve Dreihaus's ass. He is done no matter which way he votes on anything.
And if this POS legislation gets rammed down our collective throats, I want it repealed.
