‘Dissolved’ ACORN Still Hitting Up Supporters For Funds
by Matthew VadumThe organized crime syndicate known as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), which has been making much ado about its feigned withdrawal from the national political stage, continues doing business as usual.
Proof comes in the form of an email, which went out to ACORN supporters on April 16 and which came two weeks after ACORN’s faked dissolution on April Fool’s Day as a national organization.
Writes ACORN chief organizer Bertha Lewis:
ACORN is not dead!
ACORN is alive because you are alive and still fighting for justice. Over the past 40 years, ACORN members have been through a lot in the fight to empower working families and families of color — and it has been the commitment of people like you, regular folks doing extraordinary things, that has made it possible.
In the email the perennially truth-averse Lewis, whose lies throughout the undercover video saga are well documented, continues to play the victim card arguing that ACORN, dozens of whose employees have been convicted of election-related crimes, was set up by shadowy corporate forces.
Nathan Henderson-James, director of ACORN’s online campaigns, already admitted ACORN isn’t really going away.
ACORN will probably run out of money and fold by year’s end but a dozen ACORN state chapters reincorporated to seem like new, independent organizations will spring up to carry on ACORN’s business, his leaked email suggested. At least a dozen of the group’s state chapters have already broken away under new names.
“The truth is that it is hard for us to forsee [sic] any scenario where ACORN continues beyond the end of 2010 and some of us think it might not last that long,” Henderson-James.
Meanwhile, the Obama administration has already restored full funding to ACORN, which used to employ President Obama.
The fiscal floodgates are opening for ACORN, the president’s former employer and legal client, despite a congressional ban on funding the activist group that has long been a practitioner of election fraud.
In a March 16 memo Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director Peter Orszag quietly ordered federal agencies to resume funding the group whose employees were caught on hidden camera videos last year condoning a variety of crimes including child prostitution and tax evasion.
The memo came a week after renegade federal judge Nina Gershon of the Eastern District of New York made permanent her temporary injunction prohibiting Congress from cutting off funding for ACORN.
The memo also came despite the fact that the Department of Justice is appealing Gershon’s ruling and seek a stay pending appeal.
It’s unclear why the Obama administration isn’t doing the responsible thing and waiting for the case to work its way through the judicial system.

Dissolved nothing. This is like getting fired from a company yet you still receive two pay checks from them each month. Clearly they are still a functioning arm of the Obama regime.
Oh the tangled web of ACORN! With so many tentacles reaching out and assured financial backing from O, they're here to stay as long as O is. Guaranteed.
Obama is the ACORN in the White House. He will never investigate or stop their funding. They are part of his army along the SEIU. You never know he may need them to get violent with tea Party people. There seems to be nothing this Usurper in the White House won't try. ACORN is his baby.
Snakes continue to breed in the swamp of theft and deceit. Defunding for all groups and entities. Charity can and will provide as appropriate and taxpayers should not be forced to pay for social and societal influence groups.
Don't you find it interesting that Bertha Lewis seperated out "working families" and "families of color"? To her, they are 2 seperate groups, and then THEY CALL TEA PARTIERS RACIST!!!!!!
"Over the past 40 years, ACORN members have been through a lot in the fight to empower working families and families of color — and it has been the commitment of people like you, regular folks doing extraordinary things, that has made it possible."
I wonder if ACORN would be willing to clarify the difference between "working families" and "families of color".
No joke! Maybe it's because of all the seats he's going to lose, all the bums have to be able to 'fund' their voter fraud -
I was over to their website this morning. What timing. They are still showing a face as if they are open for business. If you posted a note saying you had some thousands to send them to picket Goldman Sachs, I am sure they would help you send them money.
"Supporters of low wages, predatory lending, sub-standard housing, dirty air and energy, and a pay-to-play health care system"
I didn't realize how evil non-acorn supporters were. I hate ACORN, but I could have sworn I'm not a 'supporter' of low wages, predatory loans, crappy housing, dirty air and energy, or a poorly functioning health care system.
However, I also have that bizarre 'status quo' thing called rational thought. I realize that you can't just give everyone the best of everything and expect to pay for it.
Go back into your hole ACORN, the adults are busy discussing real solutions.
I have some monopoly money for them…lol

ACORN by any other name would still be a nut.
Reminds me of the longest going out of business sale ever.
I am just wondering how they are still funding organizations that shut their doors? Who exactly is signing the backs of the checks?
I think ACORN probably just eliminated the paid workers which means that there is more money to go around to the "important" people, it sounds like the Dim's are just pursuing traditional Money Laundering techniques handed down for generations.
We need to worry about November again. What will ACORN, the Census, and the Department of Justice do to the elections of 2010? It's months away and we know what their inclinations are.
So, I propose we all take a good close look at the voter registration lists and the elections boards of our states and counties. Call them up and make sure:
1. They clean dead people off the list.
2. They check any ACORN submitted voters.
3. They make sure full information (names, birthdates, and addresses) exist.
4. They check the immigration statuses of all the names and addresses on the list.
If we do these simple steps, ACORN can do little against the USA. If we fail to do this, then November will be a race between made-up voters and real ones.
Smoke and mirrors. They are still alive and well and you can rest assured the democrats will make sure they find the money they need even if they have to take out student loans.
There should be not one dime of government funding for any NGO or charity or anything.
The states that Acorn is still left in should be investigated for RICO violations.
Speaking of crimes — May 26 arraignment set for James O'Keefe.
It's been cracked – time to bust that nut.
Obama came from this criminal enterprise. If you folks want them cut off, just look up the stinkers on your states secretary of State web site. I suspect most if not all have failed to file a timely corporate annural report this year. That was one of the Problems in Baltimore. They threatened to sue O'Keefe and Hanna and the corporation was in default, There was no corporation that could sue. We have reason to believe Dirty Bertie was not one to keep clean records nor stay in compliance with white man's laws.
ACORN is the government now! Complaining about it is sedition.

hell yes.
no money for churches.
no money for civics groups.
no money for green energy.
the gov is broke. you need money go ask for donations

This is history in the making. The Obama stain will never go away.
You've got to give them some credit, nobody would have ever guessed that a national criminal organization with access to government funds that could rig elections and support new criminal enterprises would be called ACORN. It would be like an illegal drug trafficking group being called peapod. Wait a sec, damn you GIANT!
I was browsing tonight, unsure of what I was looking for, but knew that I needed help with my finances, and your site just popped up. (Divine intervention, or what!)
No surprise here. The many offshoots under other various names are probably pedal to the metal soliciting money as well. Too bad there isn't an insecticide that would take care of them.
"It’s unclear why the Obama administration isn’t doing the responsible thing and waiting for the case to work its way through the judicial system."
You're kidding, right?
These guys are like roaches, turn on the lights on their operations they scatter. But when the media spotlight not on them, they are busy stinking up the joint.
That's because the "families of color" don't usually work, sad to say but true. Remember there is about 48% out there that don't pay taxes.
The lesson learned is, that cockroaches don't die easy…
Do not any of you REMEMBER that the DOJ ( Eric Holder) STOPPED a Southern State from cleaning up it's voter registration because it might disenfranchise some voters ? If I were King the First thing I would do is clean up ALL Elections uniformly accross the US. If you cannot verify you are a valid US Citizen you have NO VOTE. Convicted of a Felony, NO VOTE. Vote fraud = Criminal charges and mandatory Jail time. ( We'll lose half of Chicago) Voting Machines will be set up as Visa or Credit cards are processed, not counted by local party hacks., no voting multiple times.. CAN BE DONE.. No More STOLEN ELECTIONS ( NO AL FRANKEN)
Next Congress and Administration should appoint 100 Special Prosecuters investigating Obama and Eric Holder UNDER OATH !!!!!!!
Can we find out Who these Donors are and publish them..??
What a monumental moment with the discovery of who Acorn is. Can't wait to hear about HUD in Detroit.
Humans portray themselves as loving gods (Care takers), above reproach!!!! They don their makeup, fancy clothes and smiles, all to present themselves as hierarchy!!!!
This bunch will NEVER completely go away because, now, there just another arm of the government. Watch out for their lawless efforts in November.
[...] Writes Lewis in a new fundraising email: ACORN is not dead! [...]
Remember these names of the people assisting ACORN. They are taking tax payers money for non supported efforts by the people of the US. Vote out any judge or persons in office that does not take action against this proven corrupt ACORN. Power is in the vote. Do not allow our money to fund their cause.
To quote Rep. Alan Grayson, and apply it to Acorn. "Americans want you to DIE AND DIE QUICKLY". I am talking about the organization, not the people in it. Just to clarity things. Acorn is like Micheal Myers from Halloween, it keeps coming back.
At least in prison I will get good health really for free!

[...] The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now is on it’s way down to hell, where they belong. They are quickly running out of money due to a string of bad reports in the media and federal funding that has been cut. They changed their name from ACORN and disbanded their national organization structure. Is this all just a ploy to try to get critics to leave them alone so that they can emerge as a powerful PAC? I found an e-mail that was sent out to reporters on breitbart.com [...]

I join everyone's contempt of ACORN and thoroughly believe it should be prosecuted under the RICO laws. However, I read both Gershon opinions. Frankly, in her legal ruling, she is right. Congress went about this the wrong way. Had Congress written the law so that all organizations being criminally investigated would have their funds frozen, instead of writing it as just ACORN, ACORN would have lost in front of Gershon. Congress should learn how to write laws one of these days.

I wish more people would write blogs like this that are actually fun to read. With all the fluff floating around on the net, it is refreshing to read a blog like yours instead.
Who then will help the helpless! Churches and other orgs are doing good work. Sure there are outlaw outfits like ACORN, etc., but the majority of charities do good work. Yes they need to be audited to make sure they are doing good work. If all charities and NGO's disappeared then your taxes would have to replace them anyyway! Get the point? It is a convoluted system at best.
not sure people do that so they do lose weight and their bodies become healthier , maybe your body is adjusting to the new you , and it may just need a little bit of time to get back on track. My mom just done this and she too was off track for the first 3 weeks , but she says she never felt better.
