Breaking: While An Anxious Nation Is Transfixed By The Healthcare Debate, The Obama Administration Restores ACORN Funding
by Matthew VadumWhile America is distracted by Democrats’ attempts to unconstitutionally ram government-run healthcare down the throats of the American people, the Obama administration began preparing to resume funding to President Obama’s favorite community organizing group.
The fiscal floodgates are opening for the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), the president’s former employer and legal client, despite a congressional ban on funding the activist group that has long been a practitioner of election fraud.
In a March 16 memo Office of Management and Budget (OMB) director Peter Orszag quietly ordered federal agencies to resume funding the group whose employees were caught on hidden camera videos last year condoning a variety of crimes including child prostitution and tax evasion.
The memo came a week after renegade federal judge Nina Gershon of the Eastern District of New York made permanent her temporary injunction prohibiting Congress from cutting off funding for ACORN.
The memo also came despite the fact that the Department of Justice is planning to appeal Gershon’s ruling and seek a stay pending appeal.
It’s unclear why the Obama administration isn’t doing the responsible thing and waiting for the case to work its way through the judicial system.
Could the OMB be moving at lightning speed to restore funding for ACORN, which is under indictment in Nevada for election fraud, because ACORN is in dire financial straits? Perhaps it’s a reward for ACORN’s loyal support in the ObamaCare battle.

THE WASHINGTON TIMES: OBAMA SURRENDERS GULF TO PUTIN
The Obama administration is poised to ban offshore oil drilling on the outer continental shelf until 2012 or beyond. Meanwhile, Russia is making a bold strategic leap to begin drilling for oil in the Gulf of Mexico. While the United States attempts to shift gears to alternative fuels to battle the purported evils of carbon emissions, Russia will erect oil derricks off the Cuban coast.
Offshore oil production makes economic sense. It creates jobs and helps fulfill America's vast energy needs. It contributes to the gross domestic product and does not increase the trade deficit. Higher oil supply helps keep a lid on rising prices, and greater American production gives the United States more influence over the global market.
The Obama administration views energy policy through green eyeshades. Every aspect of its approach to energy is subordinated to radical environmental concerns. Russia more sensibly views energy primarily as a strategic resource. Energy is critical to Russia's economy, as fuel and as a source of profit through export. Russia also has used energy as a coercive diplomatic tool, shutting off natural gas piped to Eastern Europe in the middle of winter to make a point about how dependent the countries are that do business with the Russians.
Now Russia is using oil exploration to establish a new presence in the Western Hemisphere. It recently concluded four contracts securing oil-exploration rights in Cuba's economic zone in the Gulf of Mexico. A Russian-Cuban joint partnership will exploit oil found in the deep waters of the Gulf.
Cuba has rights to the area in which drilling will be conducted under an agreement the Carter administration recognized. From Russia's perspective, this is another way to gain leverage inside what traditionally has been America's sphere of influence. It may not be as dramatic as the Soviet Union attempting to use Cuba as a missile platform, but in the energy wars, the message is the same. Russia is projecting power into the Western Hemisphere while the United States retreats. The world will not tolerate a superpower that acts like a sidekick much longer.

PERHAPS it is a reward? Just like all his other payoffs, including sticking the American taxpayers for the stimulus bill that is paying off or bribing his supporters. We must push our local prosecutors and state attorney generals to make sure that any ACORN office within our state boundaries is investigated within the full extent of the state codes. Audit their books, verify any voter registrations they turn in, etc.
These are the ides of March, and the tyrant is now crossing the Rubicon. It is time to step up and save the Republic.

The 1st solution would require an agreement between the Citizens and our Military that our Military would NOT fire upon the American Citizens. Next, Biz. would need to stop acting as agents of the IRS and NOT withhold taxes from their work force. Allowing each individual the right to choose if they will join the people and our Constitution by with holding tax payments to the Gestapo or not. Our Government has proven there are now laws for the Rich, Famous, Politicians, Illegal Aliens and waiting down at window 27 the American Tax Payers/Citizens. The Gestapo (Government) has also proven if a problem is to big there will be amnesty (shamnesty). Should such and action take place by the American people. Those dumb enough to continue to loan the Gestapo/Tyrants/ Congress money and the expense of the American Citizens like China and Japan would have to re-think any additional loans to Obama and pals.

Off topic, admittedly…..but I have been looking for someone who is looking into whether the alleged tea party attendees who harassed the man with Parkinson's were perhaps part of a hoax meant to discredit the movement. If this was about health care, health care professionals would have been invited and they would have taken all the time they needed to get this right.

It will be cheaper for employers to pay the fine and not insure their employees which leaves the employee with nowhere to go except the government because there is a section in the bill that prohibits you from buying other insurance if you're dropped from a private carrier. You don't have a clue what you're supporting, you just think you're going to get free health care. Well, there's no such thing as free health care. The CBO report that's out (actually it's a preliminary report) has been written with numbers that are fudged.

I'm fine with some wealth redistribution. Why hope and wait for it to trickle down, lets just pour it. Any changes in tax laws are a form of wealth redistribution, I'd rather see it skimmed off the top and used to give incentives to the bottom, including small business.
Health care professionals were involved, the majority support single-payer as long as their compensation isn't regulated to nothing. So maybe you're right no one listened to them because single-payer was never even on the table.
If I want free health care, I'll drop my insurance and just go to the emergency room for whatever I need. Right now, in our current system, for every dollar spent on health care, 50 cents of it is spent by the government. That number will go down as more people have insurance. These bills cover more people AND reduce the deficit as a result. I think we should go a step further and abolish Medicare.
