ACORN Still Owes $2.3 Million in Overdue Taxes

ACORN and its affiliates currently owe more than $2.3 million in long overdue back taxes to all levels of government.

As of Nov. 11 the exact figure was $2,328,596.95.
ACORN owes money to the IRS, Arkansas, California, Delaware, District of Columbia, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Michigan, Mississippi, New Mexico, New York, New Jersey, Ohio, Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Washington, Wisconsin, and to the cities of New York and Philadelphia.
I first uncovered ACORN’s massive tax debts last year.
A detailed list of the tax liens is available here as an Excel spreadsheet. Data was obtained from Nexis and the Pelican Institute.
The liens are grouped according to the addresses against which they were filed. In New Orleans 2609 Canal St. is functioning as ACORN’s headquarters in that city. That office was raided a few days ago by Louisiana Attorney Buddy Caldwell, whose investigators seized computers and documents.
Elsewhere in New Orleans, the old headquarters at 1024 Elysian Fields Avenue reportedly stands empty. The property, which was previously a funeral home, has been on the market for months.
French Quarter Realty is asking $835,000 for the property, which is now encumbered by $1,278,862 in tax liens, $619,271 of which is owed to the IRS. It’s unclear why the Obama administration’s tax enforcers haven’t seized the property yet. Perhaps the president is extending a courtesy to his former ally and client.
Liens were also filed against ACORN offices at 16 W. 25th St. in Baltimore, 209 W. Jackson Blvd. in Chicago, and 846 N. Broad St. in Philadelphia.

Mayhaps its because your posts are so laughably predictable? I certainly get a laugh out of seeing you post the exact same rants in every post you comment on here.
There is literally a buffet of scandalous info on this organization alone. Might as well dig in and get down to the nitty gritty instead of simply scratching the surface. If you don't want to pay attention long enough to gain indepth understanding about just how corrupt these people are, then do us all a favor and stop complaining when you see yet another article regarding ACORN and refrain from visiting the site. Bloggers, at least for now, have the right to bring their perspective on matters they deem important. If thats something that bothers you to the point where you have to complain about it on a daily basis, then perhaps you should just stay away from this site (and others like it that don't just skim over a controversial issue on the basis that it could harm the Big-O).
Not to worry, SEIU is on a lot of peoples Radar, a lot of people that don't much care for the likes of the current administration, both professional and amateur.

Let me see if my conservative brain can figure this out. ACORN owes millions of dollars in taxes in several states as well as to the federal government (IRS). ACORN has historically been funded from several goverment grants and programs. This funding was severely curtailed during the corruption exposure and, as a result, they have threatened or are filing lawsuits AGAINST the government they OWE TAXES TO ! Do I have this right ?
If you or I had the gall and ballz to even SUGGEST this we would be jailed within days. HOLDER ? HOLDER ? You corrupt POS….. We, the taxpayers, would like to have a little chat with you in this alley…right here..

It takes a lot of deliberate stupidity to sue the government for money when you never remit taxes to the government. I guess if you get homeloans for people with no income and no down payment, what is lost asking for money?

Acorn was already under scrutiny for alleged voter fraud and then we had the damning prostitution expose's. (I am still waiting for more… come James and Hannah – please say you have more.) SEIU – who is Acorn in purple shirts , is caught on video beating American Citizens expressing their first Amendment rights…. SEIU CEO has an extraordinary amount of visits to the WH and they are pushing for "Health Care Reform" as it will swell their roles…. and we still do not have an investigation into how deep BHO's ties to these organizations go? Since a good portion of the unpaid tax is payroll withholding, I have yet to hear that the IRS is liening all of the officers, directors, attorney's giving tax advise and accountant's responsible for preparation of the returns. All of whom are jointly and severally responsible for the entire amount. Why is the IRS not acting.

Ahh yes, this is how the IRS and other fed/state agencies treat anyone with unpaid taxes, right??? Others have noted the admission that some 15mil additional wage earners will owe taxes due to ObiWon's withholding rate reduction. Also, in addition to the added 15mil, everybody will get less or no refund, as the withholding was less throughout the year.
I was and remain amazed at the ObiWon worshippers who, with all their education, did not know a withholding reduction (which any of then could have done anyway) is not a rate reduction. Scary idjits.
