Apparently NBC “Dateline” producer Jane Stone or someone else who has access to her Blackberry has a problem with groups that oppose ACORN and with an ethnocultural minority.
When Stone received an email urging Congress to defund ACORN from Alex Rosenwald, director of media outreach for Americans for Limited Government, the following sentence came back to Rosenwald from Stone’s account: “Bite me, Jew Boy!”
Americans for Limited Government released the following statement:
Americans for Limited Government does not contend that NBC or its parent company GE, are anti-Semitic. What is highly disturbing, however, is that there clearly is a culture at NBC that has allowed this person who clearly has issues to go unchecked.
Ms Stone claims she did not send the offensive email. If that is not the case, we at ALG call upon her to help ascertain who did send it using her Blackberry and her email address. If Ms Stone did, in fact, send it, we at ALG call upon Ms Stone to apologize to Mr. Rosenwald, and we call upon the NBC hierarchy above Ms Stone to join her in issuing that apology.
I am told by fellow right-leaning journalists that getting rude and offensive emails from reporters in the mainstream media is a fairly common occurrence.
It happened to me last fall when an occasional writer for the New York Times named Dan Mitchell sent me an electronic nastygram after I appeared on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” in a package about ACORN. I understand the newspaper disciplined Mitchell.

Are you kidding me? I have a hard time believing that Ms. Stone is both bigoted enough and stupid enough to do this. On the other hand, those things are highly correlated. I wonder how often spurious emails are sent from Ms. Stone's account. If this is commonplace, what has NBC done to tighten security? I'm guessing those questions get about the same response that Mr. Rosenwald got.

Ensign receives handwritten confirmation
Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.

NBC News president Steve Capus fired back at Americans for Limited Government after the conservative group published an email allegedly from NBC producer Jane Stone to its director of media outreach Alex Rosenwald, with one line: “Bite me Jew Boy.”
“I’m still in shock, and outraged that this reckless organization would go out with such a defamatory, irresponsible statement,” Capus told POLITICO. “We have done a complete email analysis, all of our IT, all of our records.”
Here's what happened both sides agree on: Stone responded yesterday to a mass email from ALG.
But Stone’s response email—provided to POLITICO—did not have any anti-Semitic comment. In fact, it had just one line: “Take me off this list!” (There are also subtle differences, including number of dashes, between the two emails as well).
“Somebody, on the other end, I’m assuming, took the return stamp from the email and then put in this hateful message,” Capus said. “I don’t know who did it. It’s outrageous to suspect that somebody from NBC News would do it.”

Without looking at the complete headers I remain skeptical that anyone at NBC is stupid or reckless enough to send something like this. The linked doc has only the from, to and subject headers. I want to see the names and IP addresses of the servers involved so I can check them to see if an NBC mail server was used to send the offending message. Only after careful analysis of the headers that we usually ignore would I release the hounds.

Is the "script" issuing from NBC inherently contradictory?
First, Ms Stone denied that she had sent the cited message indicating that someone else must have used her instrument. Got it.
Then NBC claimed that Ms Stone did indeed send a message but the content was entirely different. It was an instruction that she did not want to receive any additional messages.
Why did Ms Stone initially deny sending any message on her instrument? I'm waiting for a release presenting a transient amnesia problem and great suggestibility as causing Ms Stone to forget that she did not send the cited message but had instead issued another and very different reply.
NBC is chump change to GE in terms of value and income. After performing as the uncompensated volunteer for the Obama candidacy, and dedicating its media resources to his election, GE is now in a psotion to gorge itself on the government teat, absorbing unrivaled nourishment for government contracts and from government policies that enhance the profitability of its enterprise. I have word from impeccable sources that said email could not have come from Ms Stone. Forensic experts from RatherGate have so concluded. It's well known that since at least mid June, the footer of all Ms Stone's email have included:

Unless there are server logs available that show a record of the emails that were sent and received BY THE EMAIL SYSTEMS in question, this is not news. Hearsay and some supposed documents don't prove anything. I'm immediately suspicious when some word or pdf document is posted with nothing to back it up, from either side. He says it happened. Stone and company say it didn't. The truth is somewhere in the middle of it all. Forensic examination and some logs off of a server would go a long way toward finding out who in fact is being truthful here. For now, I'll just wait and see. And grab some popcorn.

Now, I will admit there are some strange quirks, ID has pulled some strange ones on me too. So what do I do? Purge cookies, purge cache, reload my ID comment page (will come up without me logged on), log in. Takes care of 90% of it. Now for about three days, just ended around Thursday, the system would only allow me to do ONE posting operation before I had to reload the page. So I got a "waiting for approval" and was stuck, since after reloading the message and the Delete button went away. For that I had to think up a solution, just called up the same article twice, posted at one tab then reloaded at the other, ID took that as a reload and I still had my Delete button as needed.

Now, when you say it only happens from certain domains, are you using different ISP accounts on the same computer, or different computers? Try purging cookies and cache as possible, see what happens. Caveat, I do not know that doing so on the latest versions of Windows will *really* purge everything as needed, as Windows is well-versed at hiding stuff from even the computer owner, but I do know I have Linux and purging works just fine for me.
just because something is sent from a blackberry phone does not mean it came from a "blackberry server" this could be a completely different email. we have no idea because we cannot see the headers. i can't see biggovernment lying about it and i can't see someone in such a position sending an email so hideously stupid. so, all i can imagine is that someone in an it department changed the email–which IS NOT hard to do. you have to be there at the right time, but it can easily be done on either side.
the next time you post something like this post all of the header information. this might not prove anything, but it will tell you if it came directly from her blackberry email and not another email account. the simple footer at the bottom only means she sent it from her phone and not a blackberry email server.

You should really post the fully-expanded routing headers of the received email. Only the full headers can show where the email actually originated, as the "from" address can be trivially forged using any email program to send spoofed email.
