Apparently NBC “Dateline” producer Jane Stone or someone else who has access to her Blackberry has a problem with groups that oppose ACORN and with an ethnocultural minority.
When Stone received an email urging Congress to defund ACORN from Alex Rosenwald, director of media outreach for Americans for Limited Government, the following sentence came back to Rosenwald from Stone’s account: “Bite me, Jew Boy!”
Americans for Limited Government released the following statement:
Americans for Limited Government does not contend that NBC or its parent company GE, are anti-Semitic. What is highly disturbing, however, is that there clearly is a culture at NBC that has allowed this person who clearly has issues to go unchecked.
Ms Stone claims she did not send the offensive email. If that is not the case, we at ALG call upon her to help ascertain who did send it using her Blackberry and her email address. If Ms Stone did, in fact, send it, we at ALG call upon Ms Stone to apologize to Mr. Rosenwald, and we call upon the NBC hierarchy above Ms Stone to join her in issuing that apology.
I am told by fellow right-leaning journalists that getting rude and offensive emails from reporters in the mainstream media is a fairly common occurrence.
It happened to me last fall when an occasional writer for the New York Times named Dan Mitchell sent me an electronic nastygram after I appeared on “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart” in a package about ACORN. I understand the newspaper disciplined Mitchell.

Are you kidding me? I have a hard time believing that Ms. Stone is both bigoted enough and stupid enough to do this. On the other hand, those things are highly correlated. I wonder how often spurious emails are sent from Ms. Stone's account. If this is commonplace, what has NBC done to tighten security? I'm guessing those questions get about the same response that Mr. Rosenwald got.

Ensign receives handwritten confirmation
Sen. John Ensign (R-Nev.) received a handwritten note Thursday from Joint Committee on Taxation Chief of Staff Tom Barthold confirming the penalty for failing to pay the up to $1,900 fee for not buying health insurance.
Violators could be charged with a misdemeanor and could face up to a year in jail or a $25,000 penalty, Barthold wrote on JCT letterhead. He signed it "Sincerely, Thomas A. Barthold."

NBC News president Steve Capus fired back at Americans for Limited Government after the conservative group published an email allegedly from NBC producer Jane Stone to its director of media outreach Alex Rosenwald, with one line: “Bite me Jew Boy.”
“I’m still in shock, and outraged that this reckless organization would go out with such a defamatory, irresponsible statement,” Capus told POLITICO. “We have done a complete email analysis, all of our IT, all of our records.”
Here's what happened both sides agree on: Stone responded yesterday to a mass email from ALG.
But Stone’s response email—provided to POLITICO—did not have any anti-Semitic comment. In fact, it had just one line: “Take me off this list!” (There are also subtle differences, including number of dashes, between the two emails as well).
“Somebody, on the other end, I’m assuming, took the return stamp from the email and then put in this hateful message,” Capus said. “I don’t know who did it. It’s outrageous to suspect that somebody from NBC News would do it.”

Without looking at the complete headers I remain skeptical that anyone at NBC is stupid or reckless enough to send something like this. The linked doc has only the from, to and subject headers. I want to see the names and IP addresses of the servers involved so I can check them to see if an NBC mail server was used to send the offending message. Only after careful analysis of the headers that we usually ignore would I release the hounds.
Mr Rosenwald may you have an easy fast and as you reflect on this during the Holiest of days that is before us remember that G-d forgives all transgressions against him but that he does not absolve any of us for the injury we cause to another human being. Is the "script" issuing from NBC inherently contradictory?
First, Ms Stone denied that she had sent the cited message indicating that someone else must have used her instrument. Got it.
Then NBC claimed that Ms Stone did indeed send a message but the content was entirely different. It was an instruction that she did not want to receive any additional messages.
Why did Ms Stone initially deny sending any message on her instrument? I'm waiting for a release presenting a transient amnesia problem and great suggestibility as causing Ms Stone to forget that she did not send the cited message but had instead issued another and very different reply.
NBC is chump change to GE in terms of value and income. After performing as the uncompensated volunteer for the Obama candidacy, and dedicating its media resources to his election, GE is now in a psotion to gorge itself on the government teat, absorbing unrivaled nourishment for government contracts and from government policies that enhance the profitability of its enterprise. phlogiston, I'm quite sure your heart is in the right place. I can only sadly agree about the number of black Americans who hate Jews, and the number of politically liberal Americans who seem to have some special affinity with Israel's enemies.
That said, all people, regardless of their racial or ethnic background, should be made to feel comfortable, loved and wanted on EITHER SIDE of the political spectrum. I'm also with you in thinking the political left are more guilty of racism and bigotry than the political right.

I have word from impeccable sources that said email could not have come from Ms Stone. Forensic experts from RatherGate have so concluded. It's well known that since at least mid June, the footer of all Ms Stone's email have included:
