NEA Conference Call: Who is Buffy Wicks?

My sources in the progressive movement say Buffy Wicks handled the Obama campaign in Missouri last year. Obama lost in Missouri and activists in that state and people within the Obama campaign placed the blame for the defeat squarely on her shoulders.
After failing to win Missouri for Obama, Wicks had a very hard time finding a job but somehow she landed a job in the Obama White House. It’s unclear how she did that.
Wicks has indirect ties to ACORN. She worked with ACORN but apparently not for ACORN. A HuffPo writer lavishes praise on her for her abilities as an organizer.
Wicks used to work for Wake Up Wal-Mart (wakeupwalmart.com), which is not a formal affiliate of ACORN but is an ACORN-sponsored spinoff group. The group works very closely with ACORN and is modeled after ACORN’s own anti-Wal-Mart affiliate W*A*R*N* (Wal-Mart Alliance for Reform Now).
Wake Up Wal-Mart entered into a national partnership with ACORN in 2005. In a Wake Up Wal-Mart press release from 2005, ACORN national president Maude Hurd said: “This is a new day in the fight to change Wal-Mart. We have created an unprecedented, bottom-up force for change which will demonstrate why Wal-Mart needs to change now.”
The group’s legal name is Change Wal-Mart Association. It has a Federal Employer Identification Number (FEIN) of 20-2643179. It is a 501(c)(5) nonprofit, which means it is a labor-oriented organization. The group was formed in 2006 but no tax return (IRS Form 990) is available for the group at guidestar.org. This is unusual.
Donations to the group do not appear in philanthropy databases. Fortune reports that the group is funded entirely by UFCW.
Nexis reports that its office address is 1775 K St. NW, Washington DC 20006. This is the same address as the United Food and Commercial Workers International Union (UFCW). This is not surprising because Wake Up Wal-Mart is a project of UFCW.
Wicks is identified as a Wake Up Wal-Mart employee in a press release issued by the group.

If I remember correctly, Missouri was the state where a county sheriff and a DA threatened to go after "unfair anti-Obama advertising" during the last presidential election. Was she(Buffy) a catalyst for that in Missouri?
Keep connecting the dots, for us and for the whole country, we need to see where all the unions converge! I bet its in the hands of 1 or 2 players… maybe George Soros?
Either way, people need to know who is running this country and their vision. If you hate Wal-Mart do not shop there, but DO NOT try to unionize wal-mart so that everyone who depends on their products will be screwed in the end, no thanks for that!

They (the Administration) are nothing more than Predators; sexual predators as compared to the ACORN Scandal, and mental and intellectual predators as it relates to the NEA.
They are leeches, feeding on the host carcass. Buffy was and is nothing more than beguiled child, an idiot in a womans body, a female Forrest Gump. I am sure that Yosi Sargant had many "asks" for Buffy, and a score of other Buffy's; and I'm sure they all laid down and spread their legs for the cause…………..
Nancy Pelosi is giving control of the Internet to the FCC. We all know ISP providers don't purposely slow down your browsing. When is the last time that happened to you? They are using the fact America wants a faster internet to convince you to let them take control of it.

As it relates Buffy Wicks, Yosi Sargent (yes I know he was at NEA)and a host of other mindless minions and psychopants, how exactly do these morons end up in the White House or in any job? What is the vetting process? Who in the Human Resources Department screens these buffons and what is the criteria. I am astounded that OUR tax dollars pay for these Pollyanish Peckerwoods and am apalled that they can even hold a job outside of janitor at the local Starbucks.
If these are the best and brightest, if these are college graduates, I think we need immediately defund ever college in the country…………..

They don't intend to slow down your browsing, they intend to restrict the pipe used by high bandwidth websites.
It's a fight that has been going on for awhile and it has the potential to be a competition killer.
Can someone PLEASE give me just ONE example of an ISP that slows down or blocks your connection to certain sites? There isn’t one, and if there is, it would be far and few between. This is no reason to give control of the internet to the FCC. Just think, websites will need to register with our Government to show their content to US Users. We will not see what the rest of the world sees.

I believe Obama was chanting that we need a trickle up form of change not a trickle down one. very similar I believe!!! but no significant ties to acorn though. HA!!!! I am still wondering why there is all of the shock and surprise anytime corruption is found on the left… That is at the very heart of the progressive/liberal movement. Their political ideology can be summed up with "what's in it for me"? A good example is the recent trend of celebrities entering the political arena. Not just backing a candidate, but pushing issues. It almost seems that there are daily requests by screen and music stars asking for money for this issue or that issue. Now, my question is that these celebs have quite a bit more money than me, doesn't that mean that they should be giving more?
Here in the USA (Unionized States of America) we are seeing the opening moves of the "Ones" plan. It all comes back to the money. In this case the re-distribution of the nation's wealth. Obama is using the UNION model to achieve the rightful place in the worker's quest to 'share the wealth'. The FATAL flaw is that like any system that gains and uses power it is prone to corruption. Unions were already corrupt. So what this give us now is dramatic growth in the ruling class as defined by Congress, Union leadership and the Administration deciding who succeeds and who fails and under what circumstances. Perfect site example is the recent GM Bankruptcy. For the first time in bankruptcy court precedence the unsecured creditors (unions) were placed ahead of the secured. SEE WHERE SOCIAL JUSTICE IS GOING -INTO THE POCKETS OF UNION LEADERS AND OTHER PETTY TYRANTS
Isn't it strange how these people go after the productive portions of society, i.e. corporations. I am seriously beginning to consider if this is intentionally done to bring down this country. I can no longer accept that all of this is done out of stupidity. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist or whack job, but how can I continue to reconcile the actions taken by our government, with truly good intentions?

I don't think that the issue is ISPs slowing down traffic for the sake of it. It is the larger telecoms, who have the large bandwidth backbones, and provide connnections to individual ISPs.
They simply give priority to their own traffic. For example, on ATT's backbones, priority is given to customers who are ATT or iPhone users. ATT has contracts to carry traffic for other providers, but that data has to wait it's turn.I think that it makes sense for ATT to do this, and the ISPs who get second rate service expect it or they would eliminate the issue contractually. We don't need laws or regulaions, we are talking about contracts between private companies.
This is likely a two stage government take over, like the "public option" in health care. First they tell private companies what they can do with their own private property, in the name of treating everyone fairly. After we get used to the idea that the government has authority over private networks, well then the government just take control of the internet infrastructure.

In honor of Buffy (God, what an awful name), I went to Wake Up Wal-Mart and signed their petition against Glenn Beck except I changed the pre-filled content and title to favor Beck. I told them they lost a shopper (true) to satisfy people who actively work against them.
