ActBlue Nationalizes Wisconsin Recalls
by Media TrackersAll six Democrats challenging Republican incumbents in Senate recall elections are major beneficiaries of ActBlue, national liberal fundraising organization. ActBlue, founded in 2004, bills itself as a committee that allows liberal Democratic candidates to leverage a national grassroots donor base that wants to get involved in key elections. Candidates who would otherwise be confined to raising money from traditional sources are – with the help of ActBlue – able to reap huge sums of money from a national pool of thousands of liberal donors.
In this case, that sum is $568,045. ActBlue has removed some of the local accountability inherent in state level fundraising by building a platform that funnels out-of-state money into state elections. The Boston Globe reported in 2007 that ActBlue’s founders are seeking to “‘nationalize’ local races,” with their group. To date, they have raised over $170 million for liberal Democratic candidates.
Recent campaign finance reports by the six Democratic challenger candidates illustrate just how successful the left has been at using ActBlue to pour hundreds of thousands of out-of-state dollars into Wisconsin. As an important left-wing fundraising mechanism, ActBlue supports its operations with a 1% fee from all contributions, as well as requests for support from donors and Democratic campaigns. So, in addition to raising a massive amount of out-of-state money for Wisconsin’s Democratic senate recall candidates, ActBlue has benefited by receiving thousands of dollars in payments from these campaigns. The following is an accounting of all the money, most of it out-of-state, that ActBlue has funneled into the Democratic campaigns, and the amount of money each indebted campaign has paid ActBlue.
| Candidate | District | ActBlue Money Received | Money Paid to ActBlue |
| Rep. Fred Clark | 14 | $77,066 | $2,455 |
| Rep. Sandy Pasch | 8 | $89,230 | $3,292 |
| Shelly Moore | 10 | $97,416 | $3,438 |
| Nancy Nusbaum | 2 | $84,256 | $3,079 |
| Jessica King | 18 | $129,054 | N/A |
| Rep. Jennifer Shilling | 32 | $91,023 | N/A |
| Total: | $568,045 | $12,264 |
The bottom line is that ActBlue has as of July 11, 2011 funneled $568,045 into the campaigns of six Democratic state Senate campaigns as part of their strategy to influence state elections with out-of-state money. For voters, this means that each of these candidates is now beholden to a powerful national constituency that does not always understand the issues facing Wisconsin, nor care about which solution may be the most effective solution for the citizens of this state. Make no mistake about it, these fundraising numbers show that the recall election isn’t just something Wisconsinites are participating it, is has been nationalized by the left into a polarizing battle where one side seeks to buy a state election with outside money.

Keep shining that light! It's the only way to bring these Prog weasels to ground…..
Buying seats …. selling seats …. it's all in a Progressive's days work.
With that much money – they can start to buy votes. Literally Good luck WI. You are in my prayers.
Hmm what ever happened to electing local people to represent local people.
How can they represent the people in their neighborhoods when they are beholden to RICH FAT CATS in other states.
I think I'm gonn'a be sick! WTH? Should this be illegal?
Wisconsin today, Texas tomorrow!

Gee what a freaking surprise.
"Do you wish to know whether that day is coming? Watch money. Money is the barometer of a society's virtue. When you see that trading is done, not by consent, but by compulsion; when you see that in order to produce, you need to obtain permission from men who produce nothing, when you see that money is flowing to those who deal, not in goods, but in favors; when you see that men get richer by graft and by pull than by work, and your laws don't protect you against them, but protect them against you; when you see corruption being rewarded and honesty becoming a self-sacrifice; you may know that your society is doomed. Money is so noble a medium that it does not compete with guns and it does not make terms with brutality. It will not permit a country to survive as half-property, half-loot."
Francisco D'Anconia's money speech
This is about Wisconsin like Acorn is about poor people, like AARP is about retired people, like the NAACP is about colored people, like Media Matters is about the truth, like the democrat party is about democracy.
Nice one HT!
If they shipped in protesters from out of state, you can't be surprised if the ship in money.
The ACT of subversion to replace the will of the people of any particular state is tampering and illegal. Make it so if it is not. Talk about crapping in the Voters' Laps…how low do Democrats go to steal elections? All the way to Hell…and people coughed at the thought that Democrats are the servants of the AntiChrist Obama…who's laughing now? Satan is laughing…and stealing your freedom to vote fairly.
Seems to me raising money needs to be limited to a candidates district.
It's no surprise…. It all geared toward their NWO. Just like the protest propaganda. They bus people in from other states to give the impression that the locals are against whatever they are protesting. I would like to know if all the signatures on the recall were legal. Down here we have a problem of the progs going around our voting law. We voted for the ballot box on all elections, now the progs in Tucson are pushing mail in ballots. It's easier for illegals to vote that way.
Money alone no longer buys elections. Once the People are engaged, it's their collective will that rules the day.
“Whenever the people are well-informed, they can be trusted with their own government.”

Welcome to the age of the internet.
Thank you Media Trackers for doing the work necessary to expose to the rest of your brethren in Freedom the Truth sounding the recalls.
Like so many battles in the past in which blood was shed Wisconsin voters are being called upon once more to uphold the flag of Truth in the face of the enemies of liberty…Namely the union goons who support the influence of their union dues money laundering ways.
My time will come and I hope it is as peaceful an activity as driving as many conservative voters to the polls as I can.
I fear that by the time my time comes there will be bullets flying purchased by the same union goon organizations as ActBlue
I totally agree. Most of the problems in state and local elections today are stirred up by outside interests trying to "nationalize" the local and state playing fields so they can ram through their agendas.
I bet I'll never see this story in the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel or the Wisconsin State Journal. The dems can't let this fact get out. After blasting Gov. Walker for accepting $43,000 from the Koch Brothers, they go out and get a dozen times that much. Liberals are pure, unadulterated Hypocrites!
I would really like to see local elections stay local elections. I grow wearing of out of state money being used to influence elections.
Another show of arrogant hypocrisy by the liberals. They lost an election to Scott Walker who was plain spoken about what he intended to do to help stop the bleeding and these losers want to punish him for keeping his word. The fact of the matter is they CAN'T WIN on ideas so they must force their imbecille ideas by hook or by crook. The reason it's a much larger issue than it should be is the democrats are owned by the unions and the marching orders have been given. Ever wonder where obama is going to get a possible Billion dollars for his campaign? Most likely it was confiscated when the treasury was being robbed in broad open daylight. These are evil days folks. Pray up, stay up and load up.
Thanks. I trust God.
The gerrymandering may also help a bit.
The Prosser Klopen something or other race for Supreme Court in Wisconsin was "nationalized" and Democrats lost. So go ahead, nationalize it on the money front all they like, it will still be Wisconsin voters who do the deciding.
I live here & read both daily. You are right I haven't seen it. They have given numbers, but not sources. Except when it is Koch Brothers donating a paltry sum to Walker of course.
I exhaust myself pointing out every time liberals are hypocrites. OK, here we go again, where is the liberal outrage about "big money in politics". Not a peep.
My condolences! I used to live in Sun Prairie but have since moved a bit to the right of the Madistan area.
"…….For voters, this means that each of these candidates is now beholden to a powerful national constituency that does not always understand the issues facing Wisconsin, nor care about which solution may be the most effective solution for the citizens of this state………."
Well what makes you think that the six Democrat candidates,…….
care about which solution may be the most effective solution for the citizens of this state
We have a country divided worse then in 1860.
A least the people of the North and South were all hard working Americans, who disagreed on States right and slavery. We now have common sense capitalist, "cart pullers" and selfish, immature "cart riders".
The latter, have a huge sense of entitlement and stupidity that will eventually bust the cart, leaving the cart riders bewildered and the cart pullers eager to get on with the eventual national rebirth… unencumbered…
There's old commies in Wisconsin been laying the groundwork for this for half a century. They probably feel like the second coming of Vladimir Lenin himself is right on the horizon.
Sleeper cells. Nobody ever took them seriously. Nobody ever thought those living the good life in Wisconsin would want to subvert the Constitution and sell the citizens to Satan.
Just another way for Criminals like the Democrats to force their Communism life style on the public!
Run away from your job like a whiny b-tch and get paid! How nice.
I can tell you one thing…
If, after all of this, the lying, the fleeing, the stealing from taxpayers, the militant takeovers, the misrepresentation, the manipulation, the buying of seats to advance agendas…
IF the Wisconsin voters send only Republicans back to Madison…the DIMocRAT Socialists will be VERY FRIGHTENED, from the White House on down…and the $oro$ will be very uncomfortable in his little web…
"On, Wisconsin…"
LEAD THE WAY…!!!
The ActBlue-Soros Complex

. . . . "it is not surprising that the Democracy Alliance, a collaborative of liberal donors led by George Soros and Peter B. Lewis, has set out on an offensive to pile funds into the liberal machine."
. . . . . "progressive websites such as MoveOn.org and ActBlue — are not driven by the average Democrat, as their image may suggest, but are rather mouthpieces for the radical agendas of the likes of Soros and labor unions. "
. . . . "But contributions from mega-rich liberals, like George Soros, undermine this populist façade. Soros directly donated $6,900 to ActBlue on May 11, 2008 and Andy and Debby Rappaport gave $70,000.
A closer look at non-federal 527 contributions yields similar results. Adam Freed, a Director at Google, donated $18,000."

In regards to the Progressive Donor Network the "honorable" John McCain belched, "There's always unintended consequences' to new laws." rrrrrriiiiiigggggggghhhhhhhttttttt
More like this is what we wanted to happen under the guise of "helping the democratic process" Thank you McCain-Feingold legislation.
For you Progs it goes both ways R's and D's
Nice job….
Thanks
You have to watch the Secretary of State in every state that has a (D) next to their names, Spooky Dude has a program going for them too.
We have about 1,000,000 people living in the Milwaukee, WI Area…and, we have only 1 newspaper which is a liberal rag-sheet!
The Journal Setinel newspaper wouldn't dare publish these facts.
Obama was elected by huge amounts of foreign money which is a violation of election law. McCain did not accept foreign $ via credit cards but Obama did. Now the Dems have perfected out of state $ (think Soros or his shell companies) to run fake canidates to dilute republican's chance to win. The Dem play book is "the end justifies the means" which means no rules. If Rs dont wake up and grow BIG "stones" and fight back now we could lose the country. The time for action is NOW. If the Ds do it we need to do the same thing in spades and get "in their face", don't forget who said that.
Republicans need to retaliate and do exactly the same thing. When D's whine tell them you stop and we stop, otherwise its full speed ahead. Ds already whined about Rove spending money so what do we have to lose.
They're just trying to counteract the fake democrat candidates that the republicans are backing in the primaries.
You are correct.
Does Elvis Blagojevich know about this? While those figures are chump change by Chicago standards, if there is a national honey pot of kickback money, start looking for the usual suspects.
I wish that local politics were determined by local voters and local money, but the current world we live in makes what happens in Wisconsin of national interest. That will attract national money. It didn't help with the WI Supreme Court and we'll have to see what happens with the recalls. If lots of money flowing from outside is a side effect of Citizens United that will be something we have to live with. Of course spending a little of the incumbent's money to make sure that the local voters know about all the outside money will be money well spent.
"Perverting elections and getting marxists into positions of power in America, it's what we do everyday!"
And Obama and his band of merry marxists thank them every day.
As these recall elections come to pass, hopefully Wisconsin understands the progress that has been made by Walker’s legislation:
The Kaukuana Area School District, having implemented Governor Walker’s new budget plan went from a projected $400,000 shortfall to a $1.5 million surplus (http://bit.ly/mDfKWy). The Hartland-Lake School District saved money on their health insurance and subsequently have saved teachers a lot of money (http://bit.ly/pW09qa).
The Milwaukee Public School District, operating under a previously union-negotiated contract was forced to lay off hundreds of teachers (http://bit.ly/jlSdqO). More and more we’re seeing union members in favor of Walker’s legislation (http://bit.ly/rbWlpW).
As more people understand all of this, the legislation has a better chance of lasting.
This is interesting but one-sided. Are conservatives in Wisconsin receiving out-of-state money too?
